After the group narrowly escaped the Horned King's castle which was now nothing more than a pile of rubble in the middle of the ocean, they reached the shore, but then, when a part of the ocean began to bubble, something that caught the attention of the longneck.

"Guys, look over there." said Littlefoot pointing to the ocean.

They all turned their gaze to the bubbling area where, shortly after, the Black Cauldron emerged.

"Gurgi." began Taran sadly, for his furry friend had gone in there to save them all. "Gurgi!" said Taran reaching a little into the water with his arm outstretched toward the cauldron, but stopped.

"Why is the poor duckling so sad?" asked Orgoch who had appeared on a bluish cloud with the other witches beside her.

"Yes, he got what they wanted and he's still not satisfied!" said Orddu.

"And now what do you old witches want?" asked Cera with annoyance, for this wasn't the right time for their follies.

"Oh, we have business with your little heroes." said Orddu.

"Heroes? We didn't do anything. Gurgi was the only hero." said Littlefoot sadly.

"The only thing that mattered to you was the Cauldron. But now it's of no use to you." began Orddu as Orgoch went to take the cauldron. "So we'll just take it, and be on our way!" said Orddu preparing to leave with the other witches and the cauldron.

"Wait! Uh… stay your hands… uh… ladies!" began Fflewddur stopping the witches. "We never give anything away!"

"That's right. We bargain too. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky.

"And we trade." said Petrie.

"That's what you said, isn't it?" asked Chomper.

"Ha, ha! Did these old ears hear the word bargain? Hmmm?" asked Orddu.

"Yes madam! Those old ears heard right!" said Fflewddur.

"Oh! I adore a voiceful man!" said Orwen.

"Oh! Pull yourself together madam!" said Fflewddur not wanting another amorous situation.

"Well? What's your offer? What do we get in exchange for the Black Cauldron?" asked Ruby.

"No! Not the…" began Orddu refusing something.

"Then I'll do it!" said Orwen as Orgoch stopped Orddu.

Orwen shot a pair of magic beams from her fingers that made the magic sword appear directly in front of Taran.

"A magnificent sword for a warrior!" said Orwen tempting him to accept the offer.

There was a moment when Taran thought about accepting the offer, which pleased the witches, except Orddu, but then…

"I'm not a warrior. I'm a pig-boy. What can I do with a sword?" asked Taran declining the offer.

"Absolutely nothing!" said Orddu retrieving the sword, much to her delight.

"However, there is one thing we would trade." said Littlefoot.

"Yes?" asked the witches curiously.

"The Cauldron for Gurgi!" said Taran.

That surprised the witches to no end.

"Oh dear!" said Orwen in shock.

"It's not possible!" said Orddu denying the change.

"Ha. I knew it! So much display and it turns out you're not powerful at all! Right? Right?" asked Cera.

That ended up provoking the witches who turned into purple trails of light that swirled around the Black Cauldron.

They raised it a bit before a bright light covered the sky, forcing the group to cover their eyes.

"We have made a bargain!" said Orddu before bursting into laughter.

As the laughter was heard, the light faded and a swirl of clouds formed in the sky, which then became a tornado that landed in front of them.

Shortly after, when the laughter died down, the tornado descended until it disappeared, revealing Gurgi lying with his eyes closed.

Everyone looked sadly at the body of their friend.

Taran knelt down beside him, picked him up in his arms and lifted him up.

They all burst into tears at the sight of Gurgi's limp body.

He may have been a thief and a coward, but he was willing to go to the shadowy castle of the Horned King to rescue them and jump into the Black Cauldron so he could save them all, which proved that he was without a doubt, a great friend, one they had lost.

"Munchings and crunchings in here somewhere!" said Gurgi as he reached into Taran's shirt for food.

That surprised everyone to the point where Taran dropped him to the ground.

"Gurgi! You… You're alive!" said Taran with surprise and joy.

"He's alive!" said Eilonwy with surprise and joy.

"Great Belin! He is alive!" said Fflewddur with surprise and joy.

"He's alive!" said Littlefoot with great joy.

The gang began to shout for joy at seeing their friend back.

"It's a miracle! Yep, yep, yep!" said Ducky.

Spike began to lick Gurgi's face madly in joy as the creature burst into laughter from the tickling.

It was then, when Cera pushed him away and hit him with her head.

"Ouch. What was that for?" asked Gurgi in confusion.

"That for jumping into the Black Cauldron! Did you just not think about how sad we would be?" asked Cera with a frown, making Gurgi flustered before Cera hugged him. "Don't ever do that again, understand?" asked Cera before pulling away.

"Me happy Gurgi alive!" said Petrie.

"We thought we'd never see you again." said Chomper.

"In the end, it does look like those witches are powerful. They were so powerful that they brought our friend back." said Ruby.

"I'm alive!" exclaimed Gurgi in excitement before Taran grabbed him and lifted him up. "Gurgi's alive! Look! Look! Look! Touch me!" said Gurgi hugging Taran's head.

"Oh, Gurgi! You clever little thing!" said Eilonwy coming over to join in the hug, with Gurgi in between the two of them.

That's when Gurgi pulled away and pushed their heads together to kiss on the lips, which made everyone laugh, even them.

Suddenly, Littlefoot had a strange feeling inside and at that moment, Fflewddur realized something.

"Hey, guys. Look." said Fflewddur pointing to the side.

They all turned their gaze that way and were shocked when they saw a black portal.

The gang stared at the portal curiously as something flashed through their heads.

"Do you think that…?" asked Chomper.

"Yes, Chomper. I think that's the way home." said Littlefoot.

"So, I guess you have to go then, right?" asked Taran sadly at having to say goodbye to his friends.

"Yes, Taran. After all, we have a home to go back to." said Littlefoot.

"Well, in that case, it was nice meeting you all." said Taran patting the longneck's head. "And thank you for everything."

"You're welcome. And remember that no matter if you are a pig-boy or a warrior, you are you and you will always be our friend." said Littlefoot.

Eilonwy knelt down to be level with the longnecked.

"Take good care of yourselves, kids." said Eilonwy giving him a kiss on the head.

"Gurgi will miss his friends." said Gurgi.

"We will miss you too, Gurgi. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky as Spike gave him another lick on the face.

"You better not steal or cheat anyone again, okay?" asked Cera.

"Gurgi promises never to steal anything or anyone ever again." swore Gurgi with one hand raised and another in the heart area.

"That worth for us." said Petrie.

"At least we can go quietly knowing you're back, so we can go quietly." said Ruby.

"I'll be sure to mention you when I sing about our great deed." said Fflewddur.

"Well, try not to lie too much." said Chomper.

"Oh, don't worry. I'll just add a few changes and…" began Fflewddur when one of the harp strings began to tremble, so he covered it with his hand. "Okay, that's fine. I'll stick to the story."

The gang couldn't help but laugh at that.

After that, the gang headed for the portal, but before they crossed it, they took one last look at the group with whom they had their most exciting adventure.

One by one, they all stepped into the portal that disappeared shortly after.

"Do you think they'll be all right?" asked Eilonwy.

"Of course. I believe in them." began Taran with a smile. "C'mon Gurgi! Let's go home!"

"Oh! Gurgi's Happy day!" said Gurgi as they all set off for home.

What they didn't know was that they were being watched from a vision of Hen Wen, who had returned home, with Dallben and Doli at her side.

"You did well my boy!" said Dallben.

"Yup!" said Doli sheepishly before chuckling lightly. "Hey, are you sure those dinosaur kids are going to be okay?" asked Doli referring to the gang that had returned home.

"They have to be. They still have a long way to go and many challenges to overcome, don't they, old friend?" asked Dallben to a third person standing there.

Said person was a stern-looking old man with a sorcerer's hat on his head of blue with white stars and a white moon. He had a long gray beard that reached below his chest and a long aquamarine garment.

That person nodded as a sign that something very big awaited the gang.

AN: And here we end the story of my two favorite childhood movies.

You're probably wondering what that at the end was.

Sorry, but that's confidential information, though I dare you to find out.

See you in the next story!
