Well, here's a really angst-filled poem that bumped this collection up to T. I hope you enjoy it!
On the inside Looking Out
And I melded into you,
Inside your (head)
Heart, and I see
What you see.
I see life spilled out before me.
And I think
About the life
I used to (live)
Have, and how it
Was great and fulfilled me,
Unlike this (prison)
Reality of being your other.
Unlike a life that died in its birth . . .
And I digress, for when I
(see your damn freedom)
Look out of your eyes, and
I see the friends I
(never)
Had, I shake with anger,
And I wish to bust through the
(bars)
Glass parting me with the world(s) outside.
Let me out!
(never)
Let me free!
(you are)
(you are nothing—
I think, therefore
—but a shred of false existence)
I am . . .
And I wish to free myself from this place,
This isolation of the heart,
That is shared betwixt hate and love.
A hollow
(? . . . carving, remember the ice cream . . . ?)
Depression in the mundane, masochistic mind,
(sea salt)
Always venturing for meaning . . .
Or existence, I guess that is nice, too.
My life, taken away from me!
(you never had one)
My thoughts stolen!
(they were never yours to be stolen)
My loves ripped away!
(no one loved you)
My hopes and aspirations decimated!
(it's hard to destroy what never existed)
Everything taken away from me . . .
(be thankful you can have thought)
Shatter the glass.
(your prison is indestructible)
Shatter the lies.
(you're too weak)
Shatter the perception.
(live your life in it's hollow ways)
Shatter the chains.
(?who do you think you're kidding?)
Shatter the glass . . .
No
Shatter the glass . . .
No
Shatter the glass . . .
No
. . .
What? Have you given up? Good. Only the weak die.
And the nonexistent.
Shatter the glass and let me the fuck out of here!
You really think that you can seri—
And let the shards tinkle.
May the Love of Anuwëy guide you when all Hope is lost
