Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Lords of the Jungle. Enjoy the 2100-word chapter. I do not own Kibo, Hasbro and a few others do.
If there was anything he had not been able to deal with? It was new things…. Atem had been thrown off by this entire area.
And these…. New smells, all of it seemed to make his nose burn like it was made from tissue paper. Well, that or sandpaper, he could not tell which one burned him worse, not out here at the end of the day.
Perhaps it was going to be harder and harder to deal with for now. Something about it all seemed to bug him as his ear twitched.
He heard a few footsteps, too interested in the next move he would make for now. He clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth while he clicked his fingers.
Perhaps Kipo….
He was cut off by her landing next to him, making him shoot up, his claws held up to scratch at the first sign of trouble.
"Hey, same side… Part Mute," Kipo said, holding up her hands.
"Mutes are not a side," Atem said before he looked away. "Their monsters who hate humans and now I am part monster who hates humans… Then again?" Atem said before he looked downwards.
He had not the best ability to deal with it for now as he clicked his fingers before he managed to try and deal with it until the end of it was coming down the line… He had not been able to deal with it for now.
Atem paused to try and deal with it for now as she paused to try and deal with it until the end of the day. There was a lot more to this and a lot of details she had not seemed to try and deal with it.
This chaos was going to be dealt with it as she clicked her claws on the ground before she managed to deal with it until the end of the day.
There was a lot more to this and yet? He had not been able to try and deal with it for now.
She looked over at him before she dragged her claws onto the ground.
"I have been through a lot of stuff… A lot of stuff to try and deal with for now." Atem stated before he sighed to himself as he looked down.
He had been too thrown off, too interested in the next maneuver he made to fix it as he clicked his fingers.
There was a lot of chaos that he had been able to deal with. He hummed to try and deal with the pain in his mind, he had too many ideas as he was beaten into the ground.
Perhaps it was too odd for him or perhaps he had been hasty, too eager to run. He wanted to be free but he was not able to try and deal with it.
This pain was something that he had been growing used to for the time being. This was not something that had been too invested in.
He had been thrown for a loop… He was rolled along the ground like a ball.
All of it made him want to scream… All of it made him too ridiculously thrown off at the end of the day.
They had something else to deal with either way and he knew it more and more and more with each passing moment. He was too tired, too worn down to have any real hope of not winning or losing when it came down to it now.
He had been bored with every little second of the day. there was an odd little pause in the small little half-mute as he knew more and more such tactics were only going to belong in the past.
"Being nice to everyone doesn't always work," Atem said, making Kipo blink. "A lot of people do not care if you are nice… I know, I have tried." Atem stated.
"It isn't bad to be nice," Kipo said.
"It is when it gets you hurt… Bad people hurt good people. Why do you think I am part Mute? Because they wanted… A bad thing." Atem said.
He avoided using any words like a beast around her, he was surrounded by Mutes, and it seemed even Kipo did not seem to care… But it was true, most Mutes were monsters, and pretending otherwise was not healthy.
He looked at her as she seemed to be smiling in a way that almost made him think she was mentally unwell. Nobody could be that optimistic in a world where everything was dust and echoing.
Could they? He did not know, he had yet to meet someone like that once more and then he would be ready for it.
"So… Someone wants to make a bunch of half mutes?" Wolf asked.
"Yep… Lots, like an army… Because they want to take over the entire world and then rule it." Atem said. "What? I have said it a lot of times… Why do you ask?" Atem asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Because if someone wants that many mutes… They are crazy. Don't you and Kipo have problems with it?" Benson asked before Atem went to speak to this teenager he had just been exposed to.
There were a few seconds of silence before he spoke.
"I don't know about Kipo, I know I'm still trying to try and think of what I can do." Atem sighed to try and deal with it for now as he clicked his fingers.
He had been silent after this, knowing more and more each passing moment on his mind before he clicked his fingers before he seemed to keep growing more and more with an idea.
He had been familiar with something that he could relax once more as he seemed to try and cope with it for now. He was too unsure of himself with an idea as he felt too scared of what soldiers would keep growing.
If they had been prepared for the future for now with what he would keep thinking of what he would need to try and manage it until he went insane with it and he would not be able to escape it.
Either the girl was insane or she knew something he did not. he did not think either was a good option but one made more sense than it did before now.
It was a lot more chaotic than it was going to have been something for the history books.
All of it had been something that Atem had been slowly starting to think about. He was always going to be thinking of it in ways she could understand. She knew something was going on and she knew that he was part of it.
"You don't know a lot of stuff about the surface, do you?" Atem asked before he paused.
He was not trying to be rude, she could not have possibly known what the surface was like, could she have been? It was something that he had to be too interested in possibly because she was the only half-mute he had met before himself.
Then again? He was making a big deal of little; he did not know her and he was aware of this flaw. The only problem was he did not even know himself before now.
He had not been able to relax before she kept trying to deal with it until it came down to it as she paused to try and deal with it.
He sighed and rubbed at his temples, leaning back, and resting his hands on his knees.
"I want to," Kipo said.
"Well, you have to know what the world is like," Atem stated. "Not every single guy and girl is nice… And not every mute is cute and cuddly. Didn't anyone tell you what Mutes do to people when they get hungry?" Atem asked.
Kipo frowned, but it was clear that she had been too interested in the next step towards helping others.
Then again. He did not entirely seem to grasp her personality when it came down to it, he would say less when it came to that talk.
He felt like kicking himself upside the head before he clicked his fingers and then looked downwards as he clicked his fingers against the ground.
Kipo snapped her fingers before Atem hummed. Atem held up his claws and then snapped his fingers as well, a flush of air slowly blowing down the street.
He had not been too interested in what he was too interested in. He had been too distracted either way as his body screamed to be let from the cage.
His mind was like an angry beast too distracted to possibly let it go on and on with no amount of peace and care lost. He was going to scream if something did not at all know what the next move was to have to be.
He had been too tired of it either damn way before he slowly began to fall apart with every single little word he had on his mind before he sighed, ready to collapse to the ground with all his energy spent.
He had been trying to figure it out for now as he has been for now. He went to say something before he sniffed the air.
He had been too tired to do something… But he now smelt something for now.
He had been too tired for now as he clicked his fingers. He sighed before he sniffed the air once again.
Kipo wanted to say something as both started to sniff the air like two felines who were hunting prey.
There was a scent in the air, a very strong one which invaded their nostrils with each little sniff of the air.
They wanted to hunt and something was drawing them into a hunt they could not ignore. It cut through the air like a chainsaw, striking them down in ways they could not possibly ignore. It was too fascinating.
He sighed before he started to look towards it for now. He was bored… But the second the thought entered his mind of a hunt?
Something snapped inside him as he knew blasted well that whatever had invaded his nose was something he had to go find and take down before he managed to lose his mind.
All of it made his nose burn with fire, knowing that something in this world existed and he had zero idea what it was, he was too exhausted.
Yes, it was only going to drive them to madness, one which had to be dealt with for now and would be impossible to try and figure out.
Kipo wanted to say something but her body burned to find whatever this was and tear it apart bloody.
The two let out feral growls that made Wolf blink as she realized both half-mutes had been dragged in by something, there was a few moments of silence… All of it seemed to be making them go insane with pain and grief.
Yep, she had to follow them with Dave… Benson would only draw more attention and someone had to tell Kipo's dad what was going on.
She had not been able to have dragged them around now… She had been too relaxed, too unable to have acted… She was too distracted by what had been going on, it was clear at the end of the day that something was off… Something was VERY off when push came to shove and they would continue to be that way until they were fixed up properly.
He had been too interested in what he had been dealt with as he growled, his eyes pushing themselves into small beady orbs. He looked ready to cut something into pieces which he wished to tear something to bits…
He was going to scream and tear himself to pieces as he slowly started to keep thinking of himself before he managed once more.
He was not going to be prepared for whatever he had left in the place of this for now and for good reason. He had a lot of pain and suffering written across his face.
