Third Person POV
As the remaining commandments and Meliodas looked at Prime and Mavros, they all waited for any movements, openings, or weaknesses as all beings had to have a flaw no matter their strength. This was a law in any world that couldn't be broken. This was their thought process.
Even everyone in the cage was quiet knowing they could do nothing without any of their powers. They would only be a hindrance.
Sighing at their inaction, Prime scratched the back of his head in annoyance.
"You all should really protect your mind. All of your thoughts are essentially being broadcasted to us. I've always despised reading the minds of others, it brought the fun out of things. Sometimes though the power just activates when the Abyss senses the fear my enemies have."
No one moved as Prime spoke as if his words were the words of God. An evil god but a god all the same.
"I will answer your thoughts for you. Make things easier for you all to finally take action." Smiling with a sinister grin, Prime took a single step toward the group as they all tensed in reaction. "I don't have a weakness to exploit. At least, by the likes of you."
Appearing in the center of the Commandments and Meliodas, Prime had a grin on his face as his hands rested in his pockets. Knowing they had no choice but to fight they all launched their attacks toward Prime. Screaming as they let their demon sides take over. Falling into the darkness.
The first one to reach Prime was Zeldris as he was the fastest one of the group. Neither Prime nor Zeldris reacted as two hands came out of the earth and cocooned them. Darkness exploded in the cocoon as Zeldris activated his skill.
"Ominous Nebula!"
The Darkness of Zeldris spiraled in the cocoon as small strings of power shot around at God-like speeds. Both Drole and Zeldris hope to combine their powers to make it where Prime couldn't move and Zeldris's darkness finish him off.
"You fools!" Meliodas screamed as he formed a giant fist breaking the cocoon to grab onto Zeldris who he managed to pull away as Prime's hand wrapped around one of his seven hearts. Causing Zeldris to spit out blood as he grabbed onto the hole in his chest. Looking at Prime who held his hand around one of Zeldris' hearts.
"Impossible nobody should be able to dodge my darkness with such a little room. Even Father would have trouble if he didn't have magic immunity. How did he do it? Is he immune to magic as well?" Zeldris asked, in shock with anger in his words.
Prime laughed as he dodged punches from Derieri while he casually walked toward Drole who was away from the group as his size would get in the way. He took a bite out of Zeldris' heart with a grin, he winced in pain as he felt the damage from his heart's destruction.
"You may have God-like reactions by using your darkness, but did you forget you're fighting a being above a God? Then again your world doesn't really have a god, to begin with." Appearing on the shoulder of Drole who tried smashing Prime with one of his hands. However, before it could even reach him, he felt an overwhelming pain as his shoulder exploded. As Prime kicked himself down like he was breaking a floor before continuing on to Drole's second arm which was attached to his left torso.
Blood rained from the sky as Drole collapsed to his knees wailing in pain. Nobody could do anything as they all slowly were being drenched in blood. The only ones lucky were the ones in the cage who were being protected by the top of the black-blooded cage.
Prime looked up at the sky as he landed on the ground without making a sound. A smile on his face as he watched the blood fall.
"Wouldn't Chaos be a god though?" Mavros asked as he snapped his fingers to stop a fire spell from Monspeet.
"I guess. However, she doesn't really have true power. As it can only be used by others."
Neither Prime nor Mavros acted as if they cared that they were being attacked as they had their conversation out loud.
"He is just playing with us!" We don't even stand a chance!" Gloxina yelled.
Everyone was thinking the same thing, but they knew they had to fight or it was death.
"This is getting boring," Mavros said, as he slashed his hand like a claw as flames spiraled toward them.
Zeldris jumped in front of everyone as magic enveloped him as if being attracted to him. Everyone else was protected and those who knew the ability that Zeldris had didn't make a reaction, but the ones in the cage were another story.
"They're doom. They lost their strongest fighter." Ban said, hugging Elaine to his side.
"No, Zeldris is alive. He is immune to magic attacks." Elizabeth mentioned, watching the scene. "However, they're going to die either way."
Zeldris walked out of the flames not a scratch on him from the flames. However, he did have a hole in his vest from the heart that was destroyed.
"You're acting like you don't care, Elizabeth. Don't you love the captain?" Diane yelled, in anger.
Smiling as she hugged her legs as she didn't divert her eyes from the battle.
"Of course. I'm just not naive." As Elizabeth watched Prime side-step a kick from Meliodas. While grabbing his leg and tossing him into Monspeet. With a force that broke Meliodas's leg.
"Are you sure it isn't because of your feelings for, Prime?" Gowther asked, curiously while staring at Elizabeth's reaction. As he could read the emotions she felt while talking about her past with Prime and he didn't read any hate.
"I don't know." She didn't deny the words Gowther asked as everyone else was in shock.
"How could you love someone like that? Someone so evil they hurt those closest to him. The way you're acting is just as heartless."
"Is it? I'm not seeing it that way. Earlier he mentioned we lived together for two hundred years but skewed my time. So, it felt longer for me. I was expecting we were together for twenty-three thousand years." Her words stunned everyone as she continued talking. "Of course, it was only two hundred though. Either way, during that time the children we had were the only rays of hope I had. He only let me see them through his gates but watching them grow up filled me with more happiness than I ever felt with Meliodas."
"I guess, I'm saying if Meliodas has to die for me to see my children again... so be it."
King got angry as he grabbed Elizabeth's shoulder. Not even thinking, he raised a fist to punch her. As he did, he felt a current of electricity course through his body as he screamed in pain. Before being forced to let go and collapsing to the ground as his body slightly smoked.
Elizabeth didn't react as she expected these remembering words from Prime. Everyone else screamed in shock while checking King's wounds.
'You are mine and mine alone. No one shall have you.'
"I see those words still have meaning."
Still watching the battle, Elizabeth noticed Prime's gaze land on her. As he heard what she had said. His eyes were black like looking into the Abyss, so she knew it was Prime looking at her. When a smirk appeared on his face, she felt a shiver down her spine.
"She is under his protection. No matter what we do we wouldn't be able to harm her. Must feel great to have someone with such power watching you."
Elizabeth laughed at the words she heard the words Merlin say. As even one with her knowledge was this naive.
"I may be under his protection, but that hardly makes me safe. I meant what I said earlier, 'Prime is a friend to none.' I'm more like a trophy for him. Maybe in some dark twisted way, he cares or wishes to, but his darkness is all-consuming."
"Sometimes in the darkest places, we find the brightest lights," Elaine said, looking at Elizabeth with a serious look.
"You think so?"
"I know so. Prime may have killed me and defiled me in timelines I can't remember, but the memories I do have of him. He truly tried to care for me. The joy on his face, as he played with me, couldn't have all been fake."
"Believe what you want. Prime is pure evil."
"You say he is pure evil. However, you love him. Hearts work in such mysterious ways. How can you love the one you obviously hate?"
"Gowther, I... I don't have an answer for you."
Mavros POV
'Quite amusing that she loves us. We tortured her for centuries before letting her return to Meliodas. She never let him touch her the same way we did. We would have killed him if he tried until she understood this.'
'It seems the memories are merging with you faster than expected. Which means Hikari will be waking up soon. Probably by the time we finish here, she will be awake. However, you are correct 'we' are a possessive being. Probably because of the Abyss's influence.'
'Then again, I was always willing to go to extreme lengths to... protect what I believed to be mine. Even if it wasn't. The Abyss probably just intensified this feeling. As I noticed that since everything came from it, I had a desire to devour everything of high power. Like it was enraged at being separated from itself. That's what made Hikari so difficult to not hurt. As she was the strongest being second to us. Made directly from my being.'
'There is probably some truth in that. As I learn more about our past, I noticed times when it should have been easy to maintain our sanity. We lost control. Like when Erebus managed to cut off one of our arms. While our lust was taking control and we toyed with Nyx. It wasn't the first time we had been damaged and lost a large amount of blood. However, it was the first time to lose a limb. Either way, we were too prone to anger in that battle.'
'Anyways that doesn't matter right now. We should speed this up before we run out of time.'
"You're right. Playtime is over!"
Prime's words did cause everyone to grow nervous as we appeared next to Monspeet and Derieri. Without even trying our hands had wrapped around the last hearts they still had from the Holy War. They had tried preventing us from doing anything by gripping our arms to hold our hands still. However, we easily stopped this by slamming them into the ground. As they spit up blood.
"Go ahead and tell her, Monspeet. My power is holding back the commandment. Consider this a mercy."
'You aren't as heartless as me. However, you killed those sister Goddesses so easily.'
'If I was in the same situation, I would like to tell my loved ones how I feel. They didn't have anyone to say anything to. There was no need to do this.'
'You would say something like that. Ophis and Eri. I see.'
'The others too.'
A barrier surrounded the two demons and me as the rest of the commandments and Meliodas attempted to stop me. Not able to break the barrier their attempts were futile.
Monspeet turned his head to Derieri who was still trying to thrash around. Monspeet had given up as he reached a hand toward Derieri. Placing it on her arm causing her to still in her attempts as he slid his hand into hers.
"All these years I've wanted to say these words to you, but the commandments have kept my words at bay. I love you, Derieri."
Derieri blushed as she looked Monspeet seriously in the eyes. Making sure his words were sincere.
"How could you love somebody like me? I'm not lady-like at all."
"That never mattered to me. Even if I wished to have seen you wear a dress once or twice. As I thought it would have looked good on you."
"Your such a big dummy."
"Only for you-"
Before they could say any other word, I pulled their hearts out. Crushing them in my hands as all life vanished from their eyes. Still having the barrier up. I reached into the black hand grabbing onto one of the artifacts from Remnant.
Pulling my hand out of the black blood, I pulled the Sword of Destruction out while Backbiter slowly slid out into the grip of my blackened hand.
The presence of both blades sent fear into all present as they could instinctively feel the dark energy coming from them. Not suspecting a blue woman to fly off one of them with an ecstasy expression on her face like she was lost in lust. Her breath showed in the air as she breathed deeply.
"Ah, my lord, I feel your presence. You have returned, haven't you? I knew you would. Why did it take you so long to summon me? Was I not a loyal servant?"
"Back in your sword, Viviane."
"OH YES! MY LORD" Moaning in pleasure like she was having an orgasm by hearing Prime's voice.
'Crazy woman. Made her very enthusiastic in bed though. The only reason I kept her. Probably was in the top five of my toys.'
"I hope you all are ready. As we are running out of time, so we will be going for the kill. Give up now and I'll make your death painless."
Gloxinia and Drole were the only ones to kneel as they knew they didn't have a chance. As Drole was still missing his arms, Gloxina knew they didn't have a chance.
"So, only three left to fight me. Grayroad, Zeldris, and Meliodas. The first to go will be..."
Appearing in the air in front of Grayroad, I sliced both swords horizontally as the demon screamed in pain. As she couldn't handle the pain of her soul being destroyed. However, I made sure not to slice up the commandment in her body.
"Also, if it wasn't obvious commandments don't affect us. So, you all were just entertainment this entire time. However, you couldn't even be that for long."
"Zeldris?"
"What do you want Meliodas?"
"I want you to know that I'm sorry for betraying you."
"Why would that matter now?"
"Well, we will be dying here so I wanted you to know she is alive. I saved her as I knew how you felt about her."
"Her? Are you talking about Gelda?"
"Huh, I just thought about how to make this even more interesting. Plus, it will help to heal our hand."
Prime took control as he sliced a tear into the world with the relic of Destruction. As he reached in as he pulled out a blond-haired vampire woman. Dropping the swords as they floated next to our body.
Forcing the woman to face Zeldris and expose her neck at the same time. Holding her in place so she couldn't get away.
"GELDA!"
The woman in our eyes looked at Zeldris in surprise feeling she was powerless to get out of our grip. Knowing what Prime wanted I called on the Dracul bloodline that was still in our body. Our eyes glowed red sensing the presence of another vampire. A pure-blooded one.
"Zel-AHHH!"
The woman tried speaking as my teeth shredded into her neck. As I drained her blood. Not holding back so as to restore a wound like a missing limb would take all she had. As the blood of a pure-blood vampire can heal wounds. However, certain amounts of blood are needed. Over time a Pure blood could heal a wound without losing their life, but Prime nor I cared about waiting.
Zeldris rushed toward us as he pointed his sword toward my head. Hoping to skewer me. However, even with his insane speed. A vampire can drain blood fast. In this case, I'm a blood dragon that can control blood. So, the speed was almost instant.
To make matters worse, for Zeldris it wasn't I that killed Gelda. A vampire can always be revived with blood as long as a few things are intact. The heart or the head stays attached.
Right before he reached us, I adjusted the position of Gelda causing Zeldris's blade to stab the one he loves in the heart. She could only weakly touch his cheek as he looked in shock at what he had done.
Grabbing onto Gelda as he collapsed to the ground with her in his arms.
"It's okay, I'm just glad I got to see you, one last time."
After those final words, she turned to dust as Zeldris started crying, grasping at the dust.
'I take it back. You're just as heartless. This is priceless. Hahaha'
"Wow, that must hurt. I was just going to drain her blood. She could have been brought back."
Zeldris turned to me as his Demon Mark grew on his forehead. However, he did nothing as he looked up at me with tears in his eyes. Like he gave up on life.
"You're a monster."
"We know."
"Just kill me, I'm done, do what you want."
Meliodas was watching his brother give up after seeing the love of his life killed in front of his eyes. He looked over at Elizabeth as their eyes met. They both knew this was the end. Prime and I were just too strong for them.
"I'll always love you. I'm sorry I couldn't keep my promise."
Elizabeth's eyes drifted to Prime and me before she spoke and turned back to Meliodas.
"I forgive you."
Meliodas frowned as he noticed she didn't say she loved him back. He knew it was because she let him go and it would only hurt more if she answered her feelings. Or said the words in her heart.
So, it was better to let him go with little words spoken to him.
"Prime, can you grant me one thing before killing me?"
"I know what you want. However, I want to hear you say it. What do you want?"
"Please, make Elizabeth happy. Take care of her."
Prime started laughing at hearing Meliodas' words. As essentially the love of his life is going to be in the hands of another man and one that tortured her for centuries.
"This is perfect. A better performance than I could have imagined. However, I'll grant your wish. I'll make her really happy."
Meliodas scowled at Prime's words but said nothing as he kneeled in front of us.
The circle below started glowing as all the people the circle targeted had given up or perished. The blood that was in the circle shot up and started wrapping Meliodas, Zeldris, Gloxina, and Drole. While I opened up a hole below Gowther and Hawk in the cage.
Hawk screamed as he fell while Gowther had a stoic look. The magic circle wrapped Gowther in blood. However, left Hawk alone.
"What do you plan on doing with us?" Meliodas asked, not fighting his bindings.
"I'm opening a gate. One to Purgatory," I answered as I had Hawk float in front of me.
Hawk was shaking in fear, not knowing what to do. As he knew he couldn't escape. Whimpers escape his body and tears stream down his face.
"You're going after our father. His main body is there. So, it makes sense."
"Correct."
Grabbing Hawk's head roughly. I stared into his eyes. Seeing the swirling blackness that hid behind. As I saw the large form of another staring back. Once they noticed me looking, they quickly tried escaping.
"You can run, but it will do you no good. This spell seeks you out wherever you are."
As if I was plucking someone's eye out, I reached my index and thumb into Hawk's eyes. Everyone in the cage besides Elizabeth yelling for me to stop.
Hawk screamed in pain as slowly I pulled my fingers out a black viscous liquid-like substance following my fingers. Eventually, the liquid snapped out of Hawk's eye as I solidified into a ball.
Hawk was almost unconscious from the pain, but they were alive. So, I swiped him away, sending him to the invisible wall. At a speed that would have crushed his body. However, the wall never formed as he kept flying away into a forest that was off into the distance.
"He was no longer needed and killing him would not benefit us."
Looking closely at the ball that came from Hawk's eye, you can see what was on the inside a dark desolate place. That the very air would poison any who entered.
Tossing the ball into the center of the circle, my wings popped out of my back as I ascended into the sky. Where I once stood was a small black hole that slowly expanded. Stopping inches before reaching any of my sacrifices.
The circle glowed as the ones held by it started screaming in pain. Even Gowther was not immune to the damage.
Zeldris and Meliodas' bodies started to melt and go into the black hole. Soon their screams were no longer a part of the symphony that was the sacrifices.
The blood of Zeldris and Meliodas went into the portal searching for their father. I was using his own bloodline against him. Nothing he could do would stop his own blood.
While this was happening the other sacrifices went quiet as their bodies turned into a mass of darkness that held commandments.
The few commandments I had absorbed were in my body, so I willed them out as if my body was purging its impurities. The commandments fell down into the portal. Forming into a net while the other commandments joined their counterparts.
"Anything that comes through the portal if their power matches the commandments will lose their power for a short time. As it will take a moment to reassimilate to their owner."
I felt my eyes drift over to Merlin, her eyes showing an intense desire to see the outcome of my actions. What I was about to do was what she had planned for thousands of years.
'Sorry Merlin, we took over this show.'
As we waited for anything to happen the portal started to ripple like something had touched it. Those in the cage went quiet as they felt the power imitating from the portal increase like a strong being had come near it. It didn't take long for a large black hand to shoot up and get wrapped up in the net I had made. The hand tried to force itself to go back into the cage, however a chain made of blood was wrapped around it. I was forcing it to be dragged to the surface. The hand eventually gave up as it used its enormous strength to haul its body the rest of the way through.
The Demon King came out of the portal the net that I had placed wrapping his entire body. Now that it had come through. The sky started to darken as Britannia couldn't withstand the pressure of a Demon King, it needed a balance. If the Supreme Deity descended, she could probably counter the effects, but she probably felt what was going on a feared the outcome of her descent.
"Welcome, Demon King. I hope the trip wasn't too painful. That spell can be rough at times when people fight against it. Which everyone always does..."
Growling at Prime's words the Demon King stepped forward but as he still hadn't accustomed to his power returning since he didn't recall the power himself, he collapsed to the ground. The ground shook at the force with which he fell. As he rested on his knees, he looked down at his hand in disbelief, shocked at his weakness.
"We understand what you're feeling the powerlessness it's humiliating. You believed yourself to be at the top, but when your power ends up failing it's like a part of yourself is missing. Even now that feeling is swirling in my body. Before we wouldn't have needed to prepare this much for you, we could have summoned you with a thought or destroyed you even in purgatory."
"Prime... it has been a long while since you were in this realm. If I had remembered you, I could have prepared for your return. Gowther with his act of selfishness destroyed the world. As with my death, the balance will be broken. I'm sure the Supreme Deity will soon follow. Meaning Chaos will envelop the world."
Grinning at his words, I didn't answer as I looked toward the cage. Seeing Arthur glaring down at me. As if he wished he had attempted to strike me down when he had the chance.
The cage opened up under him as he fell out. Trying to catch the cage as he fell. Landing on his feet and drew his sword attempting to take me down. Excalibur pulsed with a golden light as I could see several souls appear around him. Directing his movements as if attempting to pass on their skill. However, even with the skill of dozens of master swordsmen. No matter the skill he had his movements were...
"Slow."
As he attempted to slash me, I went into his guard hitting his hand with enough force to force them open as his sword fell out of his grasp. Catching it as it fell, I used his own blade to stab him through the heart. Seeing life leave his eyes as he weakly grasped at the blade.
"You don't need to worry about Chaos. She won't be able to descend onto Britannia. She will become a part of us. Her strength will bring us closer to the power I had before. Then it will be just that damn dragon."
"I see. You have thought of everything, have you?"
"No, I'm not omniscient. I never was unless I wanted the answers."
"That's probably the only reason this worked."
Raising an eyebrow at his words. I suddenly was overcome with pain as a blinding white light surrounded my body. As if the heavens themselves were trying to smite me. The light emitted a heat that evaporated the blood I had set up and the cage that surrounded the Sins.
The weight forced me down on my hands and knees. As I attempted to stand back up. However, it was like the gravity was increasing making it even more difficult.
"Infinity! Gravity increases."
As my body collapsed to the ground. I forced my eyes to look up, seeing that my cage no longer held my prisoners. As they all prepared their attacks to kill me. Only Elizabeth hadn't moved as she looked at the scene with a dead look in her eyes.
"About time you descended, any longer he had killed me."
"Demon King, I agreed to lend a hand as this monster was too much for either of us to handle. It's quite fortunate that these sins were nearby as their abilities can help us. Disappointing that my daughter refuses to help us. Seems she is in shock."
"Well, she did have a relationship with Prime. I'm sure you remember, as once I was aware of it breaking Gowther's spell wasn't difficult.
"Please, if you could do it, I could as well. Now, add your attack in before he breaks out of this. As this attack wouldn't even hold you for long. The mage I'm surprised she is helping us, but seeing as her host of Chaos has been broken, she must be seething in rage."
Flexing his hand as his power was increasing again, he threw an orb of darkness toward the light. As they merged together in perfect harmony. As both forces attempted to destroy Prime and I.
"Artificial Sun." Merlin cast a spell that put a sun above everyone as Escanor increased in size. As he took his glasses off his face.
"Cruel Sun!" Escanor used his magic power to send a sun into the mass of attacks.
"Hunter fest!" Ban used his stealing skills to try and steal organs.
"Disaster!" King increased any damage done by making even the little cuts spew even more blood.
"Crazy Rush!" Diane controlled the earth to attack.
As all their attacks landed. I lay there thinking of my actions. If I had ended this fight right away instead of putting on a show. Everything could be over with already. No, I had to be cocky. Looking back at my memories and Primes I realized we always acted cocky. As if we didn't have a fear of death. Which neither of us had to ever fear. I was immortal for a long while. Prime just was so powerful he had little to fear. However, now we both have things we fear and it's not death. We won't be dying, at least not until we save them.
Elaine was conflicted about whether she should attack as she looked around the battlefield, but as she looked toward Elizabeth, she saw the look in her eyes. The look of someone who knew the outcome of this battle. Which made Elaine's instincts go off.
"NO! DON'T!"
It was too late. As all of the abilities of the remaining Sins and the Demon King and Supreme Deity struck. Being amplified by Disaster as it sensed someone was harmed inside of the mass of attacks. The first one who knew something was off of the ones attacking was Ban. As he felt his fingers all break as something attacked back.
The next moment something shot out of the mass of energy and the earth, attacking with a blinding speed no one could have seen it coming. A sword was drawn as it was covered in blood from slashing a target or several.
Everyone turned to see Prime/Mavros standing behind them not even looking in their direction. Their shirt was completely shredded revealing his chest that had been covered in blood as disaster made the littlest cuts continuously bleed. His sword rested in his grip pointing toward the ground as it dripped blood.
"Bye, my old friends. It's strange your deaths hurt this time. Is it because I won't resurrect any of you again or could Mavros' emotions be seeping through into mine? He does have more emotions than I do."
The next moment all of the remaining sins' bodies came apart. Several lines of blood opened in their bodies. Even Ban wasn't spared as the blade that sliced him was Backbiter. A blade capable of killing immortals.
Another blade floated close to Prime as he looked at it with an emotionless stare.
"Viviane finish this."
Coming out of the blade Viviane clenched her body as if trying to contain her pleasure. As she was heavily breathing Prime's words for his orders sent shivers down through her body. Her eyes were glazed over like her mind was in a haze.
"YES! MY LORD!"
As her whole body tensed up Viviane snapped her fingers as her destruction energy went toward the fake gods. As they had no resistance to pure destruction, they stood no chance as the energy washed over them. Their bodies crumbled to dust.
"I can feel it. The locks have loosened some of my power is returning to me. They aren't completely released though I still need Chaos."
Turning to Arthur whose sword was glowing as if calling something, I knew what was about to happen. However, I wasn't going to let him rise again. He was just a beacon to release the seal. I'll be taking all the benefits.
I looked up to see an energy descending and before it even had a chance to reach Arthur. My head shapeshifted into my draconic form. As my body increased in size slightly. My maul snapped shut around Arthur and his sword. I was using his body to draw it to me... Chaos.
As the power touched my maul. I latched on with my own power. Drawing it into my being avoiding Arthur altogether. It felt as if a dam had broken as the power was absorbed. Like my previous feats were nothing compared to what we could do now. Spitting out Arthur's corpse as I didn't wish to eat a sword.
My body returned to its normal form as I started hearing voices. They were calling out for me. Wanting me to release my power. Almost begging for me to cause destruction... no some chaos. The voices were very prominent, but I was easily able to ignore them. As this was a different feeling from my hunger. This was the power of Chaos wanting me to release it. Not the Abyss.
"Prime... how could you? Why did you have to kill them?"
Looking over at Elaine she knelt over the remains of Ban and King. Tears streaming down her eyes.
"That's what I've always found interesting. I've been asked that question numerous times and yet my answer has never changed. Why did I kill them? I killed them because I had the power to do so. They attempted to stand in my way and so I removed them. I tried giving them a way out. They didn't take it. So, they were punished."
"I told Elizabeth that Pure evil didn't exist, but I was wrong. You are nothing but evil."
"We know, Elaine. We don't pretend we aren't," I said to her taking control from Prime as I placed her under a spell to cause her to lose consciousness. As she fell asleep my whole body screamed at the power it released. It was just a little spell I should have easily been able to cast that a million times before anything happened.
Collapsing on the ground, I couldn't hold it down as I felt myself vomit. As I wiped my mouth and looked at my hand, I saw blood. As if my body wasn't accepting the power and destroying itself under the pressure.
'It seems that your body has reached a cap. As no physical being can hold the power I once held. You could manage fifty percent. However, that seemed to have been all you could handle now we are around seventy. Thinking back on it the only reason you probably only survived using my power this long was because you were a dragon.'
My muscles start to contract as if they were trying to crush themselves under the pressure.
"Master, are you okay?" Viviane asked as her hand went to my shoulder holding me.
I couldn't answer as I was in too much pain. I did feel the hands of two people holding onto me. The only logical choice is Viviane and Elizabeth. The latter probably worried that if I was to die, she wouldn't see her children again.
'Explain more.'
'In my past, I wasn't really a human that evolved into a god. I was something else. I'm not quite sure what you'd call it as I found no other being in my life who was the same. However, as you know I could accumulate the power of other creatures by eating them. Well, as I ate more and more my body evolved with me. Turning me into something beyond what a mortal was capable of. So, by the time I met the God of Destruction, I wasn't human.'
'I guess, the closest term for my race had been a chimera. As I was an amalgamation of several hundred creatures. When I got my teeth onto a God, I evolved to be able to hold the abyss. So, to make it where I could house it the abyss turned me into a spiritual being with the ability to make a physical body. Similar yet different than gods.'
'So, if my theory is correct, we are evolving yet again. To what I once had been. So, prepare for pain. The first time is always the most painful.'
"You bastard!" Raising my hand in the air as my body fought against me, I smashed it into the ground as a void swallowed my body whole along with Viviane and Elizabeth.
"I'll take us someplace safe just you worry about surviving this. Otherwise, I just might be the victor."
Hikari
Right before the Demon King's arrival
As I went through another... dream of seeing my father eat my corpse and being able to do nothing but scream in pain and fear. I wanted nothing but this to end.
I've long since 'woken' up to realize this was a spell but I haven't found out how to break it. My father, even in a weakened state is truly someone to fear. Being able to put me into an illusion such as this is a feat. Then again, my guard was down.
My world went dark as my father had devoured me yet again. As I woke up in a room that didn't look familiar, but I'd seen it a thousand times through this vision. It was an unsettling feeling as the room was filled with things I enjoyed or had wished to see and do with my father. I was seeing a photo of us using our powers to create a world. Another of me crying as I blew up a star with a sneeze killing a solar system. Apparently, even as powerful as I was, I could catch a cold. Which makes no sense as I was a soul.
Another memory of a woman, I couldn't tell the identity of trying to teach me to swim. As my father watched with worry on his face. Something he would never do.
None of this ever happened but I can remember it as if it happened yesterday.
"What was your goal in showing me this father?"
Walking out of my room, I felt my clothes change into a dress befitting a queen. Great another one of these visions.
"Abyss, my apologies if this comes off as rude but I've hadn't had the fortune to see your daughter this evening. I hope she is feeling well. It would be very unfortunate for her to have fallen ill on her birthday."
"Oh no, don't worry it's not rude at all. She is on her way now. Just you know how women are they just can't ever decide on what to wear. What about you Tristwin? I've heard your daughter found a boy she just can't seem to keep her eyes off of."
"Yeah, Touya. He is quite amazing, that boy. He was only here a few weeks and was able to save my life along with my niece and sister-in-law."
"Ah, I heard about that. My apologies I couldn't come when requested these creatures that were immune to magic and incredibly sturdy invaded and I had to take care of them personally."
Why am I even listening to this? It isn't even real. Time to get eaten in front of my guests.
"Are you really going to accept this?"
Who's there? Stopping as I looked around trying to find out the location of the voice. The world shattered as I found myself in a white void. A speck of darkness swirled into existence before a person formed. Looking like a mirror version of me, however, unlike my blond hair and white eyes she had a dark tent to her features. Black hair and black eyes.
"I'm your emotions that you've kept buried. The parts of yourself you didn't want to release knowing that you'd be just like, father."
What is she talking about? Is she another soul that Father placed in me at my creation?
"Ha, no nothing like that. I'm not a soul just pure emotion. "
She can hear my thoughts. That would be impossible unless she was father as no other being has the power to break my mental barriers. So, this must be the truth, she is me. What does she want?
Spreading her arms wide the void behind her started being devoured in darkness. Rapidly approaching us. She started laughing as the darkness approached.
"I want to come out and play!"
I barely released a scream as the darkness surrounded me as I didn't expect myself to attack. I felt myself lose consciousness. While hearing the voice of my... mirror surrounding me.
"Don't worry. I'll make sure Father pays for our pain. After all, I've done it before."
Author Note:
So, Chapter 33 is finally finished. Probably could have shortened a lot of this but I just found myself writing and writing and couldn't stop. So, the chapter probably has a lot that some would find unneeded, but it fills things out in my opinion so I'm keeping it.
Hikari's Darkside is coming out to play. I teased it in an earlier chapter by hinting at the darkness in her eyes. This dark side is basically Prime's daughter if she was more like him. One who likes hurting others with a bit of a childish nature. She loves to play games and have people join for her own amusement.
Ah, poor Mavros. You thought your dragon body could hold the power of the abyss. So naive. Hopefully, you can survive the transformation. If you don't Prime might just be the one to take over and no one wants that.
