The Primal Fire Elemental.

The Primal Water Elemental.

The Primal Earth Elemental.

The Primal Air Elemental.

The Primal Star Elemental.

All of them, bathing within the new magical energy flowing into them, were left to not be disturbed unless the situation demanded that they would rise up to wreak havoc in the name of Ainz Ooal Gown.

The Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown had always commanded their respect after the downfall of Asura, but beyond that was the one who bore the divine privilege of holding this ultimate weapon of the Gods.

The words had been called out to the Primal Elementals, who up until now were but thoughtless beings, traveling astray in a vibrant and colorful realm, which harbored a diverse ecosystem of its own. But it was known to everyone in the social hierarchy within this realm that everyone fell under the total control of these pulsating elemental giants.

No one was foolish enough to stop them, and the same could be said for their stubborn views on keeping things at a status quo. Asking otherwise was essentially asking for a death sentence, and the pain of having to go through such an unimaginable experience was not worth it whatsoever.

For several kilometers, different species of monsters, who were spending their times thriving in the gargantuan floating islands that were created in this realm, had started to feel a strange change in the magical ley lines. No doubt that the flow of mana was changing too. It could be said that it was both an insurmountable change and one that was relatively insignificant to them.

It was as though nothing really happened, but their intuition as magic users regardless of what species they were told them that something indeed underwent a series of changes. At the same time, it was not wise for them to interfere with the current state of things, but the perturbing change in magic was nonetheless giving anxiety to the monsters that were now subservient to Ainz Ooal Gown.

While the commotion was still chaotic, no one knew that something had escaped under their noses. There were foreign entities who had wormed their way into this dimension filled with extravagant landmasses and diverse creatures of the like.

They could not brute-force any further to go further beyond this realm, which was a little frustrating. But as people who had to wait millennia to observe even the most slim changes of whatever took their interest, they could afford waiting a little longer to meet their person of interest.

These ones in particular identified themselves as Gods, and much like Hades and Loki, they had finally gotten their wits together and began to pursue their shared goal: meeting Ainz Ooal Gown in person. Each of them knew that they had to step up as soon as possible, especially since those ones were starting to take notice of the subtle shift in the Gods' behaviors.

At first, everyone was still hotly debating on whether or not serving Ainz Ooal Gown was a foolish endeavor that would only shackle them to a status of subservience. Their pride as former Gods were still making them somewhat hesitant while others such as Hades were keen enough to relinquish their former statuses for some bewildering reason.

But now there was something that greatly perturbed their minds. The feeling was a nostalgic horror to the Gods, comparable to when they tried putting aside their differences and working together to defeat the Devourer of the Nine Worlds. They had failed spectacularly in this mission, and resulted in many of their former peers falling from grace. This moment of weakness served as enough cause for other powerful beings that were labeled by the Gods as "World Enemies" to enthusiastically join the Devourer's reveling of destruction.

To no one's surprise, the ones who did not join the side of the Gods during the great battle that shook the very Nine Realms were the ones who slept beneath the depths of Midgard and those who slumbered in the cosmos.

Fortunately, the Devourer of the Nine Worlds and the World Enemies were no longer here. Without the presence of the Nine Realms, the Devourer along with the rest of the World Enemies had essentially undergone a permanent stasis, seeing that there was absolutely no point to continue its path of destruction.

In this way, the Gods who had lost a majority of their power against the fight with the Devourer could sigh with relief.

But it was that very same entity who made those particular Gods utterly disinterested in vying for dominance of the Nine Realms.

While those fiendish aberrations were technically of a godly race, it was too complicated to unravel the actual truth behind their existence. It turned out to be the right decision to not pursue this foolish thought any longer as one day, a cocky Pantheon had poked the hornet's nest.

Without saying a single word, one of them had crossed untold spans of time and space in order to unleash divine retribution. To every Gods' horror, their entire lineage was wiped out in less than an hour.

Some of the wise Gods knew it could have taken even less were it not for the one with a thousand forms relishing in the now-extinct Pantheon's suffering. The one who was responsible for destroying an entire Pantheon had made their names known before departing, but frankly, every single one of the Pantheon Gods made extra sure to keep that name forbidden from popping up in every-day conversation.

One way led to another, and negotiations had been set up between the Pantheon Gods and the abominable race who had refused to speak to anyone until that fateful day.

Hades was made the singular representative while on the other side, a certain man who draped himself in yellow represented his kind.

Without hesitation, the God of the Underworld knew for a fact that the man who had stood in front of him in their meeting place could simply wipe the Pantheon Gods off of every known existence without having to barely lift a finger.

That nagging feeling in Hades' mind ever since the extinction of a Pantheon had transformed into a barely concealed terror. The one who put up the front of a gentle diplomat was merely just one of his abominable kind who was extremely patient and did not rush into things compared to its brethren.

Now that the Devourer and the World Enemies were no longer pursuing their ambitions to destroy the Nine Realms, there was a different threat looming on the horizon. The rest of the Gods knew deep down that if those ones were to get to Ainz Ooal Gown first, in which that undead was considered to be the only remaining surviving Player of the Nine Realms, it would risk the complete annihilation of their own Pantheons, and subsequently, themselves.

While there was still friction between the Gods due to them hailing from different Pantheons, what kept them in check was their united purpose to not have their last salvation be taken away from them and be given into the hands of the monstrosities who did not have a remote sense of morals, which was saying a lot for the average God.

That was why they began to make their move, hellbent on beating those ones in this grand race for Ainz Ooal Gown. There was still more to it than meets the eye, but it was at this point that the bread crumbs leading to the undead were laid out there for a special reason still unknown to the Pantheon Gods.

Thankfully, there was one among many who would be willing to take the treacherous journey that both Hades and Loki already undertook with major success. It was someone who had the most resonance to the great undead that was spoken in hushed tones. Other Gods who felt strongly attached to the ancient arts of necromancy were interested too, but they decided that they should be represented by one sole individual since they had to keep an eye out for the ones who were most likely lurking about outside of their known discretion.

This God was originally supposed to meet Ainz with their mutually trusted friend Hades, but at the lost moment they were arrogantly stopped by her father, who felt that they were not worthy to be in the presence of the undead.

But seeing that they were no longer within Loki's reach, the God could now take it upon herself to see who this Ainz Ooal Gown really is.

This God had gone by the name of Hel, and she was a fellow "God of Death" as there were other people who held that title as well. She was now hovering on top of the highest mountain peaks in this realm.

The air at this elevation would suffocate even the most powerful beings here save for the Primal Elementals, but much like them, none of the Gods required any air to breathe. They had no need to worry about potential asphyxiation at this time.

Both her and the group behind her were in their complete spiritual forms as she deemed it necessary for her plan. They kept their eyes on the Primal Elementals, and once they felt a volatile spike within the surrounding magicules, Hel immediately shouted to her godly peers.

"—Choose any one of the Primal Elementals except for that one among the rest! If you try to usurp the soul of that Elemental, I will personally see to your soul's damnation before those wicked beings get to you."

Despite her fierce resolve, the harsh voice coming from the death Goddess faltered for a little. She hid the trepidation on her face, instead concentrating her bubbling emotions into the furious shaking of her fists.

One by one, the other Gods and Goddesses gave their own words.

"—Please, no one would dare think about going against your plan, Hel. But I would like to say the same for my own pick. It resonates with, how would one put this…mood? I can only hope that no one holds any ill will against each other, but that might be asking too much out of anyone within this group, really."

"—Naturally, the same goes for me, everyone. I pray that this Elemental will lead me to understand more about Ainz's goals and his perspective towards this world's humanity, should there be one."

"—Once again, you show the same loving aptitude for those pathetic beings. At the very least, I can at least take solace in the fact that Ainz Ooal Gown no longer depends on what you refer to as your 'humanity.' True, there were a few among them on a particular homeland where they birthed truly powerful beings in their mind, body and spirits, but I'm still holding my tongue until I see their power for myself."

"—I can only hope that Loki is not playing tricks with Ainz Ooal Gown. The other Pantheons were displeased with his behavior for countless millennia. It clearly should have been Hel to go before him, but now we have to make due with what is presented in front of us. Let us just move on already before we miss our chance."

After everyone finished, Hel curtly held a look of confidence on her face.

She thought that everyone needed to be in high spirits despite the growing fears of what might happen to not just her own Pantheon. They were no longer able to enjoy the divine protection of their strongholds that had once stood strong within the Nine Realms.

Everyone, even the most legendary ones such as Zeus, Shiva and Ra, had expressed themselves in meeting Ainz Ooal Gown. They would rather fuel their mutual interests instead of being involved in petty feuds that had only fueled everyone's aggravations back then.

Tsk…I shouldn't haven't reacted like that in front of everyone. I was at least spared the humiliation when Hades and the other Gods of Death vouched for me to be their representative. This mission must not fail at all costs.

Hel remembered this crucial fact.

Despite that odd behavior that she showed to her father Loki, it could be said that everything was now hanging onto the hopes of Hel and her group. Her plan to establish the second meeting with Ainz Ooal Gown would—no, it had to acquire them beneficial results that would spare their lives from the cosmic lurkers.

Having hardened their resolve, the Gods speedily departed through the air, cleaving aside any flying creatures that had unfortunately gotten in their way.

Without the Primal Elementals noticing their cloaked presences, they began to shone with a brilliant light that pertained to the mastery of their respective elements, floating into the cerulean and purple skies above them. They disappeared in a powerful magic-filled blast, making every monster within half a kilometer radius shudder greatly from the shockwave.

When this disturbance had finally ended, a flickering trail of elemental particles began to blanket the skies with a colorful glaze, aweing the eyes of monsters that had already recovered from the huge disturbance of magic.

It had only been a few minutes since she declared to be the protector of Ainz Ooal Gown and his two servants. Now she was under fire by the summons who swore that they were protecting Ainz Ooal Gown from her.

Why do people have to be so complicated sometimes—Milim thought to herself as she gave a backhanded slap to the charging Primal Earth Elemental. Don't they know I'm with Ainz Ol' Goon and the others? And just when things were going well for me, they had to ruin it!

A thunder echoed upon the moment of impact, throwing the behemoth of rock and stone into several dozens of trees. Their gargantuan roots were easily torn off the ground as they were swept away with the Primal Earth Elemental.

"Prithvi! Damn you—you won't get away with this, child! [Triplet Maximize Magic: Nuclear Bla—"

"—Too slow with your magic!"

Before the casting could be finished, the Primal Star Elemental was pummeled into the ground by one of Milim's fists. The dragonoid used some means of propelling herself even further, destroying more of the Jura Forest as she dragged the summon face first against the earthen soil.

The other Primal Elementals hurriedly followed the two, with the Primal Earth Elemental having already recovered from Milim's hit. It was clearing away for its brethren by using its own body to ripple through the thick density of the forest.

They quickly surrounded the dragonoid who was on top of the blazing Primal Star Elemental. She looked ready to hand another beating to Staff's summon.

"Insolent…"

The Elemental's mouth released a dissonant hiss, but nothing else came out of it other than scorching heat which Milim casually brushed off.

"Wa-ha-ha-ha-ha! You guys are strong, I'll give you that. But you'll have to try a lot harder than that to get even a scratch on me!"

"—Are you serious? A Primal Elemental was supposed to be a fearsome being in eons past. How has this puny child managed to treat it like it's some sort of toy?!"

A snap was heard from Milim, who sucked in her breath. Her eyes twitched after processing the words she had just heard.

"…What did you just call me?"

Upon hearing the red flag words which Ainz learned not to say in front of the now angered Milim, Ainz, who had been using [ Hawkeye ] from faraway, calmly turned to Staff.

She was standing on the stairway leading to the wagon's entrance. The woman was holding Rimuru who seemed to be enjoying being held for some reason, but the undead was not focusing on that detail right now.

"—You two go down this road while it's still undamaged. It's not safe here right now, and I fear Milim now has justification to destroy the Primal Elementals."

Staff had a bewildered look on her face. "But what about you, Ainz? Are you going to attempt to calm Milim down?" she said, now sporting a look of worry.

"Yes," Ainz continued, watching the four remaining Primal Elementals rise up in the sky with Milim in sync. Sporadic explosions of magic began to appear in droves as the dragonoid's cackling laughter echoed in the air. "I'm not exactly sure what it is that I can do to stop someone of Milim's caliber, but I plan to make this battle—no, this confrontation as short as possible if negotiations fail."

"Does that mean you have something up your sleeves, Ainz?" Rimuru said, also watching the aerial spectacle in awe. "If it's something that can curb Milim's destruction, everything else might be a walk in the park for you. There's no way we can just meet someone that's more powerful than her, right?"

"There's still not a lot to go by since she is the only person we have met so far in this world that possesses enough intellect for negotiations. But right now I can tell the Primal Elementals will easily be crushed if I don't intervene soon. There has already been enough misunderstandings, after all."

At the very least, there was one ray of hope that shined down on the undead, and it had dawned on him during his time of browsing over the skills that the Harvest Festival was steadily giving to the undead.

There, a particular skill stood out in his repertoire. Something that Ainz thought would give him a slight chance against a Lovecraftian entity now that it had been majorly reworked.

The changes made were interesting, and the reason for those specific changes being added to the Super-Tier spell also served as the answer to why the Voice of the World was forced to place Ainz Ooal Gown inside a dimensional subspace. The subspace created from [ Small World ] was to originally contain the undead, but its secondary effects allowed it to serve as a protective barrier from potential threats that could arise and disturb the Harvest Festival's process.

The threat was in the spell itself. To be more specific, the Super-Tier Magic, Iä Shub-Niggurath, was deemed by the Voice of the World as a highly dangerous ability.

There was no further explanation after it was stated within Ainz's head instead of being publicly announced, much to Ainz's piqued curiosity. It was as though even omnipotent entities such as the Voice were showing a degree of carefulness at exposing this knowledge.

Regardless of how much of a threat [ Iä Shub-Niggurath ] posed in this world, the Voice still elected to elevate it to a more powerful status than before. Instead of its infamous "Dark Young" summoning effect Ainz was familiar with, [ Iä Shub-Niggurath ] allowed for Ainz to summon the "Avatara" form of Shub-Niggurath.

The completely insane part about the Super-Tier spell was the removal of a summoning time. It was already done for all of his summoning skills, but Ainz found it absurd to have an Avatara of an Outer God under his permanent command. He began to sympathize greatly with the Voice's concern, and swore that he would only use it as a last-resort trump card.

I don't want to have to use it, but if push comes to shove, then I will let it out, but only for a minute at most. Even if Milim can easily deal with a temporarily uncontrollable Avatara, I'm not going to take the risk and keep it out any longer than necessary.

"Then, I'll be going now. Tell the golem horse to start moving—preferably have it move one-hundred meters forward. And tell the Eyeball Corpse you summoned earlier to halt its investigation. Have it keep a close eye on the people in the sky, but make sure it maintains a safe distance away from them as well."

"Understood. Good luck," Staff quickly said as she began to step towards the warbling door. It shifted enough to allow the woman inside the wagon with ease. The golem horse let out a deep-sounding neigh, and its feet began trotting on the dirt trail.

"—Don't get too ahead of yourself, Ainz! Make it back in one piece, alright? You've still yet to tell me about your friends!" Rimuru shouted, waving his small and slimy arm to the undead.

The silhouette of the wagon grew smaller as Ainz continued to wave them goodbye.

Now then, let's just get this over with.

When the fight broke out between Milim and the Primal Elementals, Ainz felt like he was going to get included in this fight, somehow. Since they were Staff's summons and not his, he could not recall them back. That would leave it up to Staff to do it, but she had said she was unable to do such a thing.

Seeing the situation was out of his control, Ainz had buffed himself with several hundred spells. As a result, his stats were rapidly increased with his already ridiculously high mana pool threatening to burst out any moment.

He was able to do all of this in just a few seconds as he now had the assistance of the Extra Skills [ Parallel Processing ], [ Multi-caster ] and [ Heavenly Rite ]. Thanks to the Ultimate Skills of both Loki and Hades, these abilities were naturally parted on to the undead, who held complete authority over the two Gods that had voluntarily sworn themselves to become absolute servants under Ainz Ooal Gown.

Casting a levitation spell on himself, Ainz calmly flew from the ground, soaring into the sky.

After flying so high, he felt curious and looked down. The Great Forest of Jura must have been more than two-hundred meters below him. He could still make out the wagon where Staff and Rimuru was in, but it was so small that he would have to use [ Hawkeye ] again to get a closer look.

Ainz jerked his head up after hearing a few growls from the Primal Elementals. They were now being joined up by the Primal Earth Elemental, which was most likely being assisted by the Primal Air Elemental's own levitation abilities.

He separated himself from both the Primal Elementals and Milim. It was clear that the dragonoid's attire was now different.

Her arms, midriff and most of her legs were covered by jet-black armor. Two dark-purplish wings sprouted out from her back, and a red horn jutted out from her forehead's center.

Even her hairstyle was different which was something Ainz could not figure out as to how exactly that happened. Ainz hypothesized Milim had just used a transformation skill, but there was no need for him to be so attentive on such details.

Rather, Ainz's attention was caught on an interesting looking sword she was holding. It radiated untold amount of power—possibly even more than a Divine-Class item. But he could not accurately pinpoint the various differences in the weapon's strength compared to Yggdrasil items.

"Milim. You're looking different. If I may say so boldly, your current outfit is far better than your previous one."

The hardened look on Milim softened, then it turned into a mischievous grin. She rested the non-sharpened edge of her sword on her right shoulder.

"Well thanks! Anyways, those guys over there—what do you call them? Primal Elementals? They're way stronger than an average Demon Lord. But…"

One of Milim's eyes glowed the same frenzied blue color Ainz had seen before. She audibly gasped before letting out her signature four (Ainz: Or was it five?) stage laughter.

"Ho? What did you just do now, Ainz? You're way stronger than them! Carrion and Frey couldn't hope to match against you before you powered up and all that, but now I think you could be an even more interesting challenge!"

"I'd hate to disappoint you, but this was merely a precaution I had taken to—"

"Huh? Demon Lord? Is that true, Ainz-sama?"

The dissonant crackling of a voice caught Ainz and Milim's attention. They looked at the Primal Star Elemental who was floating in the center of its group.

"…Yes, that is true. Milim is one of the Demon Lords of this world, and a considerably powerful one at that. While I had never expected a Primal Elemental to talk, I could easily figure out that summons will work differently in this world compared to how they did in Yggdrasil."

"Summons? Ah, I see…I have not shown you the true form behind this elemental body, Ainz-sama. Excuse me then."

A few grunts were heard from the Primal Star Elemental, but the nebulae aura that coursed through its myriad-colored surfaces began to flare with astronomical proportions. The brightening fury of the aura forced Ainz to fly back at a lightning pace.

What the—!

The undead wasn't looking who was behind him, and he felt something press up against his back.

"—That was close!"

Using her free left hand, Milim had caught Ainz before he could fly back any further. The speed at which he flew was too fast for him to measure, but the dragonoid simply shrugged it off and caught the undead easily.

"Ah, my apologies," Ainz said, moving away from Milim who only offered a smile. The light from earlier had died down remarkably fast, so he turned his head around to see where the Primal Star Elemental had previously been.

Except now, Ainz was staring at someone whose appearance he could not forget.

"…Hel?"

The one referred to as such had shrunken their form compared to the Primal Star Elemental's original looks, now bearing the looks of a young and beautiful woman with an extremely pale complexity. Her black hair began to fly wildly in the air, making her look more deranged than usual.

She was wearing an obsidian black dress that had multiple torn spots, but Ainz could thankfully see they were much smaller tears instead of huge ones which would have made her outfit more provocative. What was more noticeable was the lack of pupils within her eyes.

They were pure white, so to speak, and Ainz felt his emotional suppression was going to go off any second now when he felt a stare from the Goddess of Death. Or was it a glare? He could not tell right now.

"—I'm truly glad you are able to remember me, Ainz-sama. It's still a shame that you hung up on my offer for marriage. It really did sadden me, you know?"

"Huh? Wait, what are you saying…"

A small pout then formed on Hel's face while Ainz did his best not to look away and cringe.

"I see, you have already forgotten about it. That makes sense. It must be because of that woman you were with. She is a looker, I will give her that."

In the midst of Ainz's mental crisis, he remembered a quest where several guildmasters all over Helheim who wanted to build relations with Hel had to bring them to their guild base. At the end of the day, the Great Underground Tomb of Nazarick was chosen as the Goddess of Death's favorite abode as both primary and secondary conditions were fulfilled in the quest.

She might have recognized Albedo while she was visiting Nazarick. That's the only connection I can make based on her comment from just now.

"Are you referring to Albedo? It is true that she might be here along with the rest of Nazarick's—"

"The Great Underground Tomb Of Nazarick is here?!"

Ainz was startled by Hel and the Primal Elementals' simultaneous screeching. He was dumbfounded by how they were able to recognize the guild base so quickly.

"Then—then that means Loki is here as well, right? Where is he now?"

"Ah, yes, yes he is here. He and Hades should be getting acquainted with one of the Floor Guardians as we speak."

"So, then…I'm too late…"

The undead then felt a tap on his right arm, prompting him to look at Milim who looked guilty for some reason.

"—Hey, I don't know what to feel about this, but now I kinda feel bad for trying to destroy the person you love, Ainz. I didn't mean to stumble into something so sensitive between the two of you."

"N-no, that's not…"

Ainz's mouth gaped at the growing misunderstanding. He was unable to provide an explanation at this moment.

Meanwhile, Hel let out a noise of affirmation. The Goddess crossed her arms and started to side with the dragonoid.

"So you do understand the situation, Milim Nava! I feel bad for calling you a child, now that I think about it. It seems you are more mature about this situation compared to the undead who has broken my heart and left me to wallow in my own palace."

"Ehh…? Ainz, that's not really nice of you…I don't really know if I can continue fighting now that I know this, even though I said I would be protecting you. Don't tell me you treated her as a harlot…"

"A harlot—! How do you know that word, Milim?"

Milim's eyes widened. Her form hastily switched back to her original looks as her mouth started quivering. She pointed at the undead as though he was accused of a heinous crime.

"So you did treat her as one! I thought you were a good undead, Ainz!"

"No, that's not what I meant! I was only surprised at how you know those words."

"Frey taught me what a harlot is along with something called a 'red light district,' something that should never, ever be visited! You're a dirty undead, aren't you?! I didn't even know a dirty undead was possible until now!"

What are you even saying…! Wait, this world has red light districts? Was it due to the natural development of society within the species of this world that led towards this concept or was it forcefully brought into here by otherworlders? Wait—that isn't what I'm supposed to be thinking about right now!

As Ainz's mind went into overdrive, Hel furrowed her eyebrows at the dragonoid's words. The Goddess tried re-interpreting the message in her head before coming up with a different conclusion than what she had earlier.

"No, he is not a dirty undead. I seemed to have let my feelings get ahead of myself for a moment."

Ainz snapped his head towards the Goddess and silently sent her a "Thank you!" in the form of rapidly nodding his head up and down. Milim scratched the top of her head as she had trouble with something unknown to the undead.

"Well, I think I am starting to get the picture. So it is true that you were only trying to protect Ainz-sama. My apologies," the Goddess said, bowing her head. The other Primal Elementals surrounding Hel also bowed their dragon-shaped heads.

"No, it was my own fault. It seems I have more to learn about Ainz Ol' Goon, after all. This is really troubling…"

Milim had a downtrodden look and shook her head. Ainz covered his face with one of his palms and tried to think of something to say.

This is why I don't like getting into these kinds of relationships! And it was just game dialogue, wasn't it? The fact that Hel remembers it too…does that mean she remembers the entire dialogue where I was forced to read out something akin to a rejection letter? This is embarrassing…

Ainz mentally cursed out to the Yggdrasil developers for giving the undead one last middle finger.

"Well…it seems we managed to clear out most of the misunderstandings," Ainz said, looking at the confused dragonoid for a moment before turning his attention back to Hel. "If everyone is done pushing each other's buttons, I'd like to move this discussion over to the vehicle that I have created for my entourage including Milim."

Hel smiled before bowing once again, this time with due deference.

"It is as you say. We have caused too much commotion for our own good, it seems."

The Goddess made a slight gesture towards the ground, making everyone else stare at the small, rectangular shaped object on the dirt road cleaving the Great Forest of Jura.

"[ Hawkeye ]," Ainz whispered to himself. The skill allowed him to bring objects within his peripheral vision into a much closer view.

What initially looked like a bunch of small green dots were what appeared to be goblins. They were slowly surrounding the wagon, but made sure to avoid the golem horse who kept stomping the ground in seeming anger, scaring some of the goblins.

It's one problem to the next, I suppose…
