Fern was another one of Homeworld's many different Shipmasters, a tall peridot with her gem centered around her chest, she stood with her hands resting on the center console of her flagship, The Voyager. She gave it the name after being inspired by Black Diamond's speech before sending her and many other fleets out to search the unknown reaches of space beyond HomeWorld. Though she was unlike many of the other shipmasters who aptly kept their ships nameless, she found a certain attachment to her flagship that she couldn't quite explain.

Though she wouldn't dwell on that fact and glanced up as a technician reported to her that they'd successfully established a Forward Operating Base on the surface of the visibly cloudy planet that they were orbiting. A majority of the fleet was sent down onto the surface of the planet in order to do so, this left her with twenty or so ships to keep on guard above the planet's atmosphere.

There was also a particularly interesting thing about this planet, one of the peridots working in the research field had given her a very detailed report on how the magnetic field of the planet had been disturbed to the point that any sort of communication to and from the planet's surface was impossible. The only way she knew that the FOB was actually constructed was because a small scouting vessel was sent back up and out of the planet in order to make it known. She then gave it a brief list of commands to do afterward before sending the ship back down to the planet's surface and leaning against her ship's center console with a slight grin on her face.

Everything was going well, she established a base, and she was soon to completely take the planet for the glory of Black Diamond, and HomeWorld. She was content with herself, so that's why she allowed herself a few moments of reprieve from dutifully watching the emptiness of space and micromanaging the rest of her ships in orbit with her. She crossed her arms and let out a sigh before letting herself fall back into her chair, crossing one leg over the other as she then cast a glance over at one of the many holo pads hovering above her.

It wasn't until a few hours of meandering around above the planet did one of her technicians finally catch her attention with a particular detail, she pressed a button and her chair turned automatically to the technician, she pressed a hand to her mouth before coughing. "Shipmaster, there seems to be floating debris approaching, I advise we turn our ships in a ninety degree so that the front end of the ship can absorb the initial shock of the collisions."

"Shouldn't we be able to move out of its projected path?" Fern would ask with a raised eyebrow, she didn't see the use in letting the debris collide against the ship when they could just move out of the way.

"It seems to be impossible with how rapidly the debris seems to be floating through space, shipmaster," the technician said while folding her arms behind her back. "By the time we maneuvered the ship out of the way, the debris would have already been on us."

Fern squinted her eyes," Just how fast is this debris moving?" to garner such precaution.

"As fast as one of our star fighters," the technician said with a nod. Much to Ferns's surprise as she sat up in her chair and glanced at the technician as if she heard her wrong, as fast as a starfighter? That was oddly... Susp-

Before she could even let the thought run through her head, she and everyone on the bridge of the ship was jolted forwards as multiple things collided against the side of the ship. This caused Fern to shake her head from the dizziness before moving to open her mouth to speak, but she was stopped when a bright flash of light caused her to pause and snap her head over to the viewing port. Her eyes widened as she witnessed one of the smaller cruisers combust into a ball of flames, its debris shooting outwards as its carcass drifted off course.

She suddenly stood up, pressing the button on the side of her helmet to activate the gravitational lock on her boots, ignoring the internal groaning of the ship as she leaned forwards and opened a line between the rest of her fleet. But she turned and gave the technician a slight glare, "I thought you said this was debris? What kind of debris blows up a cruiser!" she said with grit teeth.

"That's because it isn't debris, they're boarding crafts!" the sudden crackling of one of the other cruisers in the fleet cried out in response as she extended her gaze out and noticed the cruisers start to send a salvo of fire out towards the visible debris, noticeable explosions lighting up the assault as Fern straightened herself and barked out orders into the comms line.

"-!" Fern suddenly turned as one of the crafts collided against her flagship, the technicians scrambling to straighten themselves as they activated the ship's weaponry and started relaying information to each other. But they all were stopped and suddenly silenced by the deafening sound of crunching and bending metal that filled the interior of the ship. Her eyes narrowed and she suddenly turned over to her side to where a group of techs was looking up and around themselves before a deep whirring sound caused her to shoot one hand to the sidearm on her hip and the other out as she shouted.

"Get away from that side of the shi-!" but the words were suddenly interrupted as a very sharp metallic point penetrated through the side of the ship and gave no time to react before it roughly expanded in a circular fashion. Seemingly sawing through the metal and causing the technicians to let out sounds of shock and panic before scrambling to get out of the way, two were unlucky enough to get hit by the wall that used to be attached to the side as it was shot outwards. Poofing them instantly from the force.

"Scramble the troops and tell them we need help in the bridge! Get the starfighters up and out of the ship! We're being ambushed!" Fern shouted as she hopped over her chair and aimed her sidearm up and at the darkened hole left in the wall. The technicians that hadn't pulled out their own sidearms and aimed out at the hole along with her were frantically giving out orders to the personnel deeper in the ship.

She focused back in and narrowed her eyes as multiple glowing red-eye lights glowed in the darkness of the hole before crouching down and stepping out into the light, revealing themselves to be the towering forms of the chaos legion troops. Their heavily armored forms and gruesome visage caused her to falter for a moment before she tightened the grip on her gun and immediately started firing it at the enemy. She grits her teeth as manic laughter started pouring into the bridge as more and more of them shuffled out of the hole and towards her and her group.

Between the three of them with weapons, Fern is able to only down two of the troops before they crossed the threshold, uprooting the consoles and chairs between them and rushing at them. And the other two technicians are only able to down one or two before they were rushed and poofed by the troops, their shocked faces only increasing the maniacal laughter of the Legion's soldiers as they swung and shot their weapons at Fern and the rest of the technicians.

She rolled out of the way of a trooper swinging their chain sword down at her, being given no room to breathe as their movements were rapid and erratic, her only being able to fire measly amounts of bullets into its bulky armor before finally being able to use the increased strength given to her by her armor to block its chain sword with her gauntlet. Before she stuck her gun into the part where the helmet met the chest plate and rapidly fired, causing its laughter to suddenly stop as its body went limp. It threatened to crush her before she quickly rolled out of the way and narrowly dodged a swing from another soldier, and she had no time to react as bullets started flying her way again.

But as the alarms and the laughter and the shouts drowned out her own thoughts, she was still able to manage to keep herself alive for the moment as she was backed into a corner, having picked up a piece of broken wall and using it to shield herself from the bullets and in turn shooting back at the enclosing soldiers.

But she was given some reprieve as the soldiers were suddenly blown away by a sudden rocket shot behind them, Fern glanced up and noticed that the Gem soldiers below had finally gotten up to the bridge. But much to her shock, there was only a single gem soldier barely standing on her feet, her armor riddled with bullets and broken pieces as she dropped the discarded rocket launcher she was holding and quickly crossed the threshold. Fern shook her head and dropped the metal shield down and quickly moved to meet her in the middle, stepping over and past the downed legion soldiers blown to pieces by the launcher.

"Where is everyone else?" Fern asked as she glanced at her own weapon and gave a slight grimace before tossing it aside as the ammo counter read zero. "Facite, rank?" she said as she glanced down and picked up one of the large and jagged weapons of a dead Chaos trooper, she checked the ammo before glancing back up at the gem soldier.

"Jasper Facite-91111, cosign is hell jumper," the jasper briefly said as she plucked a bullet out from her chest plate. "The rest of my squad is poofed and hasn't shown signs of reformation, there are Chaos troops all over the ship and the rest of the gem soldiers are trying to fight them back, I'm all you got right now."

Fern thought for a moment, before glancing up at the Jasper, "I need you to take one of the escape pods down to the planet's surface, you need to warn the rest of the fleet that we're being attacked."

"What about you shipmaster?" Jasper would ask as she looked at Fern, who'd walked over to the viewing port and was staring as another cruiser combusted and collided against a smaller cruiser, causing it to split in half as she grimaced. She then swiped her hand up and brought a holo pad up, she briefly swiped through it before nodding, "There is only one escape pod remaining, it's down near subsection eight, and as for me, I'll.." she stopped as warning signs flashed over all of the holo pads and she widened her eyes and looked up as countless amounts of Chaos ships jumped out of the warp. There were so many that she couldn't even begin to estimate how many there were exactly.

"You need to go, now," she said as she tore her eyes away from the sight of the ships opened fire on the already decimated fleet, the flagship rocking as it was also buffeted by gunfire and missiles. "I'll give you cover as you drop," she pushed the gun into the Jaspers' hands and motioned for her to go. "You need to move fast soldier, you're running on borrowed time."

"Understood," Jasper said after a moment before turning and quickly sprinting out of the bridge and into the halls that were flashing red, she could see the bodies of Chaos soldiers along with poofed gems.

Fern sighed and walked over to her damaged console, she brought up a glitchy holo pad and watched as the last functional escape pod flashed green before it was ejected out of the ship and rocketed down towards the planet. The comms array was damaged and she couldn't contact Homeworld or any of the other ships that were somehow still alive, she pulled up the status of the ship and grimaced at everything flashing red. It was on its last legs.

She slammed down a button on the console and the emergency blast door shut over the open door leading into the bridge and the viewing port was reinforced with a see-through metal, then she pressed a few more buttons before the center opened up and outwards, revealing a control wheel. She grasped one side with one hand and use the other to center all power into the thrusters, she then locked her feet in place and grit her teeth as she struggled to turn the ship to the left, the alarms blared louder and the metal groaned.

She then slammed her hand down on another button as she was facing the oncoming fleet, the single-operating Mac cannon roaring to life as it shot out blast after blast as she rocketed into the sea of missiles and bullets. If only to give the ground forces a few more seconds of preparation for the battle.

The escape pod shook as it rocketed through the planet's magnetic field, the jasper gripping the sides of her seat tightly as she was jerked from side to side, she glanced down as the holographic viewing port finally cleared up as she broke through the clouds expecting to see the rest of the fleet untouched, her eyes widened in shock as she could see fire and flames below. Missiles and bullets narrowly scraped against her pod as she neared the ground, confusion filled her head as she took in the figures of chaos troops and gem troops getting closer and closer as her pod crashed into the middle of the battlefield.

She slammed an armored fist down onto the release of the pod's hatch and braced her weapon as it hissed before ejecting from the ship, colliding against an approaching Chaos marine, but they were quickly replaced as a group of marines quickly honed in on her pod and started rushing towards her as she jumped out of it. She did a small three-sixty before backstepping out of the way of a chain sword and striking the marine across the helmet with her fist, causing them to stagger back as she raised up her weapon and fired into his chest plate. A mist of red bloodshot out as the armor was pierced and she quickly rolled to the side and engaged another marine as it approached, quickly dispatching it and two more before the weapon ran out of ammo. She flipped it and used it as a melee weapon against a marine, parrying the chain sword before knocking them back with a kick as she backed away.

Her eyes scanned for a weapon before she picked up a chain sword just in time to clash with the marine, its superior strength winning out as she was pressured down, but she was saved as an anti-materialization rifle struck the marine in the head, tearing through their helmet and causing their brain matter to fly everywhere. She grimaced and stepped out of the way of the marines body as it crashed down next to her and turned to look as a squad of four heavily armored gem soldiers quickly approached her. They used their heavy weapons to push back the marines surrounding the jasper, and she grinned behind her helmet before quickly approaching the taller gems.

The leader, whose helmet was painted with a skull, shrugged her rifle onto her shoulder before pulling out her sidearm, still a very bulky and powerful weapon, and pushing it into the Jaspers arms. "There's no time to chat, take this and help us defend the FOB!" her gruff voice said before she aimed her rifle up and started firing at the chaos marines with her squad as they started walking further into the fray. Jasper briefly glanced at the FOB in question, she could see the hastily built defense turrets in flames as they shot at the waves of enemies, she could also see gem soldiers and vehicles trying to push back the onslaught and nodded her head.

She quickly started sprinting towards the FOB, ducking and weaving past wreckages and dead bodies as she got closer and closer, the sounds of gunfire and missiles deafening as she blew a hole through a marine lunging at her and stumbled before righting herself.

Above Jasper flew a single squadron of starfighters as they initiated dogfights with the various amounts of Chaos starfighters, the pilots pushing their ships to their limits as they tried to dodge their fire. There were four gem starfighters left, the rest being destroyed as they were suddenly ambushed from seemingly out of nowhere, one was currently on fire as it banked to the right and led a group of ten Chaos ships away. It disappeared into the clouds as the remaining three gem fighters dodged and weaved around in the vastly outnumbered dogfight.

One's wing was clipped by a missile shot at it, the missile missing and careening down into a group of ground fighters, another was brutally shot down by a barrage of missiles, and the remaining fighter, the wing leader lasted the longest as it managed to take out three of the fighters before two chaos fighters flew alongside it and ejected out cabled from their sides. They stabbed into the sides of the gem fighter and left no room to struggle as the two ships banked left and right respectively, ripping the fighter's wings off completely. It sent the flaming cockpit spiraling down toward the ground, the pilot quickly ejected out of the ship but was immediately blown up in midair by a missile.

The cockpit spiraled in a plume of flames before crashing into one of the walls of the FOB, causing a massive explosion that left a gaping hole in the defenses. And without any air fighters in the air, the chaos fighters focused on shooting at the FOB itself, the anti-air cannons shifted out from where they were hidden and started trying to shoot down the fighters.

Meanwhile, Jasper had managed to group together with a squadron of gem soldiers that were just outside the front entrance of the FOB hiding behind a battered barrier, she was crouched down and looking at the squad leader, an amethyst with a missing arm as she barked out orders to her squad. They had two ground vehicles with mounted turrets providing covering fire as she stopped and pressed two fingers to the side of her helmet, she narrowed her eyes and nodded.

"Just got word from that we need to get to the remaining cruiser and defend it while the techs try to fix the generator so it can get out of the atmosphere and jump to safe space!" she said, to which the rest of her squad nodded out before she stood up, Jasper following behind her as the two sprinted over to the vehicle and boarded it, with Jasper taking the wheel as amethysts settled into the passenger seat. She stepped on the pedal and the vehicle lurched as it shot forwards, quickly being followed by the second as the two made their way through gunfire and explosions.

"Broadcasting to all remaining Gem Soldiers, the battle it lost, I repeat, the battle is lost. Abandon the FOB and focus all attention on defending the cruiser from the Chaos Legion."

"What exactly happened?" Jasper said as she swerved around a gem tank and ran over a few Chaos marines, "how did the Chaos legion get to the surface without us knowing?" she said as Amethyst focused on trying to reform her arm.

"We honestly don't know," Amethyst admitted with a grimace. "One thing we were waiting for the scout ship to return with the shipmaster's orders and the next we were being assaulted by drop pods from out of nowhere!" she said with exasperation. "What about the fleet above the planet? Please tell me they're doing a better job at pushing the Chaos legion back," Amethyst said with hope.

And Jasper shook her head as she stepped on the gas harder, "the fleet orbiting the planet has been decimated, we were ambushed by drop pods that crippled our ships, the only one remaining is The Voyager," she said solemnly. To which Amethyst looked at her with widened eyes, "Every single ship? Oh my diamond," she said while rubbing at her face.

"She sent me down because I was the only one left on the flagship, she thought they hadn't reached the surface yet and was expecting me to be able to warn you guys before well... All this happened," she said as she motioned outside the vehicle window. "Seems like it was useless."

"Not useless if we can get that cruiser in the air and get word back to Homeworld," Amethyst said as they quickly approached the cruiser where it was parked, there was already a huge group of gem soldiers congregated there.

Jasper and Amethyst jumped out of their vehicle and joined the group of Gem soldiers gathered around the cruiser. The atmosphere was tense, and worried whispers filled the air as they assessed the situation and devised a plan to get the cruiser operational. But there was little time for actual conversation as the cruiser's outwards defense cannons suddenly perked up and aimed upwards towards the distance as the sounds of incoming ships rang out. And with the deafening sound of a Mac cannon tearing through the cockpit of a Chaos starfighter, the battle was upon them once again as the hordes of Chaos marines quickly started approaching once again.

The murky clouds above started dispensing more drop pods as they landed on the battlefield below, Amethyst had finally been able to reform her arm and readied herself as she started giving orders to the ground troops. Jasper grit her teeth and gave a look up at the cruiser they were meant to protect, her eyes trailing to the missing thruster that was most likely blown off, and let out a breath. She turned and raised her own weapon before firing into the sea of enemies.

But with how many of the marines that were gunned down and the vehicles that were destroyed, there seemed to be an endless amount that seemed to replace their fallen brethren. Gem soldiers were being pushed closer and closer to the damaged cruiser as they lost ground to the Chaos marines, they were being mercilessly stabbed and slashed by the chain swords and ripped apart by the bolt guns. Most of the gem soldiers were unaugmented so they weren't able to compete with the mutated strength of the marines, only the heavily armored gem soldiers were able to compete with their strength. Even then, there were too few as most of them were lost at the beginning of the ambush, and the squad that previously saved Jasper was struggling to fight them off.

Jasper was crouched next to one of their tanks, firing at the waves when the gem soldier controlling the cannon took a shot to the head, the bullet completely ripping her head off and poofing her instantly. And as Jasper's weapon clicked she tossed it aside and climbed up the side of the tank and sat down in the turret's seat. She gripped the controls firmly before firing into the approaching enemies.

It seemed like hours as the gems fruitlessly tried to defend their remaining cruiser as the technicians hastily tried repairing the damaged systems, the captain at the helm of the cruiser gripped the sides of her control panel firmly as she stared at the battle happening outside. She was a peridot with a damaged visor, a grimace forming on her face before she turned away and looked at the technicians. "How long till we are operational?" She said with urgency, her voice forcefully calm and cool as she glanced at the scrambling technicians.

"Systems are at 90 percent operational! the engineers below have reported that they are almost done circumventing the missing engines' power leakage, captain," but peridot shook her head, "that doesn't answer my question, how long?" she said firmly.

"Five minutes," another tech called out from across the room, she was missing an arm and wasn't focused on reforming it. "Five minutes until were capable of leaving the planet's atmosphere, and ten minutes until were able to jump to warp."

Peridot nodded before turning to glance out of her viewport and down at the losing battle they were fighting, gritting her teeth as she pressed a few buttons on her panel and cycled through the weapons.

"Just hold out for five more minutes Gems," Peridot's voice crackled through the comms. "Five more minutes and we'll be up and operational," before her voice fizzled out.

"I don't think we got five minutes," a jasper would say as she shouldered a rocket launcher and fired at an approaching line of Chaos marines before tossing it aside and grabbing a discarded rifle from her side as the Ruby crouched next to her hurriedly reloaded the launcher. There were poofed gems littered all over the place as they lost more and more of their soldiers with every minute that the battle raged. "We're barely holding them, if at all," she grimaced before taking the reloaded launcher from the ruby and shouldering it once again.

Though a round embedded itself into her shoulder, breaking through her armor and causing her aim to fly off course as the rocket careened out of track as she bent over and groaned in pain. But she fought through it and managed to pick up her rifle before peeking back over her cover, only to be immediately barraged by a salvo of bullets, riddling her body before poofing her. The Ruby widened her eyes in shock before pulling out her own weapon and firing at the Marines as they broke through their cover, her bullets hardly bothering the marine as it laughed before swinging its chain sword down at her. Her form was split in half before she poofed.

And as moments passed, the gem soldiers were widdled down more and more until it was just a handful of them all huddled in a final line of defense, it was Jasper and what remained of her squad, two of the heavy gunners, and a single tank piloted by two Rubys. The tank was on its last legs though, with its armor heavily damaged and smoke billowing from beneath it.

"We are fixed and ready to launch, brace for liftoff," the voice of the peridot crackled through the comms. "Give them hell girls," was the final message given by the captain before fizzling out.

The remaining gem soldiers glanced up at the cruiser as its thrusters roared to life, the engine whirring as the defense turrets deactivated and the cruiser lifted off the ground, kicking up dust and rocks as it started hovering upwards. It pivoted upwards briefly before the thrusters flared and the cruiser surged forwards, rocketing up and into the murky clouds above the battlefield.

"And what now?" a gem soldier said as she ducked from the incoming bullets, "what do we do now?" she said with a slight edge to her voice. She gripped her sidearm tightly as it was the only weapon she had left.

"What do you think we do? We take out as many of these deranged creeps before they kill us!" the pitched voice of the Ruby controlling the tank's turret shouted down before switching from single fire to full auto and letting out a shout as the Ruby pilot drove forwards. It left the remaining gem soldiers watching as they dived into the sea of Chaos marines before looking at each other. And without any words, they all stood up and leaped over the barricades, rushing forwards into the sea of enemies as they shot their weapons. It was all they could really do.

The cruiser broke through the clouds and finally rocketed out of the planet's atmosphere and was witness to the absolutely decimated fleet of gem cruisers before them, the flames crackling along as the ships floated dead in the water. And the absolutely impossible amount of chaos cruisers and ships completely surrounding the planet, the peridot widened her eyes as she stared out at the carnage. None of the chaos ships were damaged or even destroyed, it was simply all of the gems ships.

And as they floated alongside one of the larger gem ships that were destroyed, peridot was able to see through the viewport the bolded white letters alongside the flaming hull of the ship, her eyes widening as her stance faltered.

"Jump to warp," she said as she tore her eyes away from the sight of the wrecked flagship. Quickly turning to her crew, "Jump to warp now!" she said with a shout.

"We can't, captain! The warp drives are still cycling after their repairs!" a technician said from her seat, her body shifting nervously as she fiddled with her holo pads.

"Use the emergency warp, use anything! We just have to get out of here!" peridot said with absolute panic in her voice as she focused back down on her control console and started swiping up and trying to open up a comm line back to Homeworld.

"Yes, captain!" the technician's voices rang out as they started the process.

Peridot's heart raced with anxiety as she waited for the emergency warp to engage. She knew that time was of the essence, and they needed to escape the overwhelming chaos surrounding the planet. Her hands trembled slightly as she continued to swipe and tap on her control console, desperately trying to establish a communication link with Homeworld.

The technician's fingers danced across their holopads, working swiftly to initiate the emergency warp sequence. The cruiser's engines hummed with anticipation, ready to propel them away from the devastating scene unfolding before them.

"Systems failing!" a technician's panicked voice rang out, causing her to spin around. "what?"

"We're being locked onto!" another shouted.

Peridot's eyes widened with fear as the realization sank in. The Chaos forces had detected their attempt to escape and were actively targeting their cruiser. The situation had gone from dire to critical in a matter of moments.

"Evade! Evasive maneuvers!" Peridot shouted, her voice filled with urgency. She gripped the controls tightly, her mind racing to come up with a plan to outmaneuver their pursuers.

The cruiser jolted and veered sharply, narrowly avoiding a barrage of enemy fire. The Chaos ships pursued relentlessly, their weapons blazing with destructive energy. Peridot's crew worked frantically to divert power to the shields and counter the enemy's attacks.

"Keep them off our tail!" Peridot commanded, her voice unwavering despite the chaos unfolding around them. She maneuvered the cruiser through a complex series of evasive maneuvers, utilizing its agility to its fullest extent.

However, the Chaos forces were relentless. Their ships swarmed the Gem cruiser, firing relentlessly. The hull shook with each impact, alarms blaring throughout the ship.

"We can't hold them off much longer!" a technician shouted, her voice laced with desperation.

Peridot's mind raced, searching for a solution. But she was unable to come up with one quick enough as a bright green light caught her attention as the chaos ships suddenly split off and let one single ship through. A vortex of profound green energy swirled at the helm of the ship, and Peridot could only watch as she knew exactly what was going to happen. A grimace formed on her face as she closed her eyes just as the ship shot out the green vortex of energy at their ship.

The green vortex of energy struck the Gem cruiser with devastating force, engulfing it in a blinding flash. The ship shuddered under the impact, and alarms blared in a cacophony of warning sounds. And just as their cruiser was intact, it gave one last shudder before exploding in a shower of green and orange flames.

The explosion sent shockwaves rippling through space, the remnants of the Gem cruiser scattering in all directions. Its debris joins the rest of its fellow gem ships drifting over the planet, officially marking the fleet's loss.

But hidden just inside of one of the wrecked cruisers on the farther side of the battlefield, the same last remaining gem starfighter sat floating, the flames having dissipated from its wing and having survived being chased by the enemy starfighters. The pilot, an onyx, gripped her controls tightly as she witnessed the destruction of the final cruiser, and with no more friendly signals being projected, she started the process of her ship's warp capabilities, she had to get word back to HomeWorld about their loss.

The onyx pilot, determined to fulfill her mission, engaged the starfighter's warp drive. The engines hummed to life, generating the energy required for the jump. The pilot's hands moved swiftly across the control panel, inputting the coordinates for Homeworld.

As the starfighter prepared to jump to warp, a sudden jolt rocked the cockpit. Alarms blared, indicating damage to the ship. The onyx pilot gritted her teeth and quickly assessed the situation. Enemy starfighters had detected her ship's activation and were firing upon her, attempting to prevent her escape.

With expert maneuvering, the onyx pilot evaded the incoming enemy fire. She executed evasive maneuvers, utilizing the starfighter's agility to its fullest extent. Laser blasts streaked past her ship, narrowly missing their mark. As she maneuvered, she quickly started up the warping process again before slamming her hand down on the button and flying back in her seat as the starfighter shot through the warp.

She'd escaped, she let out a sigh of relief as she slumped back in her seat.
