After a short amount of minutes, the school bus made it's way out of Royal Woods through the roadway exit and it was now headed towards the Oscorp building outside of town. The middle school students were happily chatting to each other to let time pass on their trip, while Lincoln was still seated next to Gwen.

"Seriously? You live with ten sisters in your family?" Gwen asked with a very surprised expression.

"Actually, my oldest sister is away at collage so I'm only living with nine of them." Lincoln answered. "But yeah, I have ten sisters in my family."

"Guess I should be lucky I'm an only child." Gwen said, chuckling a little bit. "I'm guessing all of your sisters are different, then?"

"In their own unique ways." Lincoln said. "Lori's a master at golf, Leni is really talented with fashion, Luna loves to play rock music, Luan is a master jokester, Lynn is obsessed with any type of sports, Lucy's your typical gloomy goth, the twins are exact opposites, with Lana being a muddy tomboy and Lola being a pageant princess, Lisa is a little super genius, and Lily is just a lovable little toddler."

"Wow. They sound like a handful for you." Gwen admitted.

"It's true. They do tend to get in my nerves at certain times." Lincoln replied. "But I still love my sisters and I help them out whenever they need it. I wouldn't trade them for the world."

"That's really nice." Gwen said with a smile.

As Lincoln and Gwen kept chatting with each other, Clyde, Rusty, Liam, Zach and Stella watched them from their position in the bus.

"Those two have only just met each other and they're already getting to be nice friends." Stella commented.

"Yeah, Lincoln is super good at making good." Rusty said in agreement.

"It's just one of his traits." Clyde replied. "It's why he and I are best buds."

"I can't help be feel like those two are gonna make a mighty fine pair, one day." Liam told his friends, keeping his voice low so Lincoln wouldn't hear him.

"Are you sure, Liam?" Zach asked, having a little bit of doubt about that theory. "Lincoln's never been very good at getting himself a girlfriend."

"He's got a good point." A voice said as Lincoln's friends turned to look at Chandler, who was leaning against a seat in front of them. "As if Lincoln Lame's ever gonna get himself a lover in his dumb life. Take Cristina and Ronnie Anne for example."

"Nobody asked for your opinion, Chandler!" Stella retorted with a glare.

"And for your info, Ronnie Anne didn't reject him as a lover! They just agreed to stay as friends!" Clyde stated firmly.

"Whatever, McBride. Your best friend's still a loser." Chandler replied with a smug smile, making Lincoln's friends very infuriated.

"I'd like to see him trash-talking to old Rosie." Liam muttered.

"That jerk doesn't know what he's talking about." Rusty replied.

"Yeah, he's an idiot." Stella said in agreement.

Just then, everyone on the bus noticed a large building that was labelled 'OSCORP' at the top that was in front of them on the left. When the bus got right next to the building, it pulled over and stopped immediately.

"Alright, here's the Oscorp Tower." The bus driver told everyone. "This is where you kids wanted to go for your field trip, right?"

"It is. Thank you, very much." Mrs Salter replied as she stood up from her seat and faced the children. "Now, class, remember to stay close to me during the entire tour around this building. If you need to ask me something or if you have the urge to go to the bathroom, just let me know."

"Yes, Mrs Salter!" Everyone said, nodding in understanding.

"Good. Now let's go and see the amazing things that Oscorp had to offer." Mrs Salter told the children before she opened the bus' door and walked out it.

Lincoln, his friends, Gwen and every other student got out of their seats and walked out of the bus. Once they got in front of the Oscorp Tower, everyone awed in amazement at it's amazing size.

"Man, look at this place!" Lincoln exclaimed with a huge smile.

"It could fit right in with Great Lakes City!" Clyde stated.

"Without a doubt, this place looks really great!" Stella said, very impressed.

Lincoln noticed Gwen a few distances away from his position. The blonde girl looked behind and waved to Lincoln, who kindly waved back to her in response.

"You really like her, don't you?" Rusty asked while snickering at Lincoln, causing him to redden up a little bit.

"Uh, yeah. I think that Gwen and I are gonna be good friends." Lincoln replied, trying to hide his blushing.

"You sure about that, partner?" Liam questioned.

"I mean, you do look a little read." Zach admitted, smiling teasingly. "Maybe that means you wanna be more than just friends with her."

"Knock it off, guys! I'm not ready to get myself a girlfriend, yet!" Lincoln stated annoyingly.

"Keep telling yourself that, dude." Rusty said.

"Just leave him alone, guys." Stella told her friends, crossing her arms.

"Yeah. If Lincoln says he doesn't wanna be Gwen's boyfriend, then we should respect his choice." Clyde agreed. "Besides, he's still got his best bud around to have fun."

"Thanks for that, you two." Lincoln said to his two friends.

"Alright, everyone is here." Mrs Salter said as she finished checking off everyone on her list. "Now then, we're officially ready to get our field trip started. I hope you're all excited to see the amazing things at Oscorp like advanced robots and genetic formulas."

"And not aliens?" Zach asked suspiciously.

"Zach, quit it with the alien thing." Stella whispered firmly. "These Oscorp guys are not alien hunters like you and your parents."

"I'm still not dropping my suspicions." Zach replied before he took out some kind of scanner device.

"Prepare to be disappointed, dude." Rusty said, rolling his eyes.

"Okay, let's all head in now." Mrs Salter told the students before they walked towards the Oscorp building.

"This is gonna be sweet." Clyde said with a smile.

"You know it, bud." Lincoln agreed before they both did a fist bump.

Once the entire field trip class walked through the main entrance into Oscorp, they all gasped in total amazement from all the scientific properties that were seen on this floor and the ones that were higher up. They could see scientists working at computers, engineers repairing some very expensive equipment and even some nice-looking weapons.

"Now this is a mighty big place!" Liam commented.

"We should go to places like these more often on our field trips!" Stella stated.

"These people make way cooler inventions than your little sister, Lincoln!" Rusty told the white haired boy.

"Just be glad she's not here. She'd be super offended if she heard that." Lincoln replied before bringing out his mobile phone. "Speaking of Lisa, I'd better take some photos of this place for her."

"She'd definitely like that, seeing as she's a master of science." Clyde quipped.

"Hey, Mrs Salter? Is anyone gonna be touring us around this place?" Zach asked his Middle School teacher.

"Actually, yes. The owner of this very company said that he himself would be giving us a tour personally." Mrs Salter replied, looking around for their guide before she spotted that specific person. "Ah! And here he is, right now."

The children looked to where their teacher was coming and they all saw a man with brown hair that was neatly combed back, a grey buisness suit with a dark-blue and white tie, grey trousers and a pair of black buisness shoes.

"Everyone, let me introduce to you the CEO of Oscorp Industries himself, Norman Osborn." Mrs Salter introduced as Norman Osborn stood next to her.

"Thank you very much, ma'am." Norman replied before turning to the students. "Hello, children. I'm glad that you've all come here today for a little tour around my company. It's always a pleasure to have some young minds see what we do here to make the world a better place."

"And we're all happy you could give us a tour of your new facility today, Mr Osborn." Mrs Salter said.

"Well, I was able to convince my Board Of Directors to let me have a little break from running my company to show you how we do things around here." Norman said with a smile. "Now then, why don't we start off with something special on one of the upper levels?"

All the students began saying their own words in response, meaning that they were all on board with the idea.

"It sounds like they're all excited to see what you've been making." Mrs Salter told Norman.

"Wonderful. Let's go." Norman instructed before walking off with Mrs Salter in tow, causing the children to follow after them.

"So that guy's in charge of the entire Oscorp company? He sure kinda nice." Lincoln told his friends.

"Yeah, he's kinda like a bunch of other humble buisness men." Liam replied. "Not like that Joyce lady that tried wrecking up our town."

"Just be glad Lincoln managed to expose her, Liam." Clyde said, shooting a smile to his best friend. "We wouldn't be here if he didn't come up with another one of his nice plans."

"No problem. I am the Man With The Plan." Lincoln commented with a proud smile.

"Wow, like we've never heard that before." Rusty said sarcastically.

"It's just something he likes saying, Rusty. Can you really blame him?" Stella questioned.

"I know I can't." Zach replied, causing the others to chuckle a bit as they followed their class to an automated staircase that took them to a higher room in the building.

A few moments later, Norman Osborn had led the group into a room that seemed to contain some highly-valuable chemistry and there was also some formulas that were either green or blue. There was also a few microscopic equipment on the tables and some glass containers that seemed to contain many species of spiders within them.

"Dang, take a look at all those spiders." Clyde whispered to his friends, pointing towards the eight-legged creatures.

"I'm just glad Leni isn't here. She'd have a panic attack from seeing those things." Lincoln admitted.

"In this room, our top scientists are working with genetically modified DNA to see if we can use it to help enhance a normal person's capabilities." Norman explained. "We've managed to create formulas for some certain species, but over here is a wide collection of modified arachnids."

"So what makes these spiders different from normal ones?" A students asked while raising his hand up.

"For one thing, some have enhanced senses that allow them to detect anything that would pose a threat to their lives. Others are able to create webbing that has a tensile strength similar to steel." Norman explained. "And finally, the rest of our spiders have greater physical strength and climbing abilities to help them adapt to any environment they're not familiar with."

"Those sound like the kind of powers that makes a superhero." Zach said, a little bit impressed.

"If I was a spider hero, that'd mean I'd be shooting webs out of my butt." Clyde joked.

"Come on, Clyde. That'd just be silly." Lincoln chuckled humorously, making sure to take some photos of these modified spiders. "No superhero would have that kind of power."

"Has there ever even been a spider-themed superhero?" Rusty asked in curiosity.

"Not that we know of." Stella answered.

"Seriously? You losers are talking about dumb superheroes?" Chandler asked with a smug smile, walking next to the group. "I've gotta be honest, your lives are just sad."

"We're not in the mood, Chandler." Lincoln replied, glaring at his school bully.

"Why don't you just waste your life by taunting someone else?" Zach suggested sternly.

"Yeah, man. Screw you." Rusty added.

"Whatever." Chandler scoffed before nudging Lincoln away and walking off.

"Sometimes, I wish I could just kick that jerk in the lower area." Stella told her friends, shooting an angry glare to the redhead bully.

"Forget it, Stella. He's not worth it." Lincoln said.

"Chandler will get what's coming to him, one way or another." Clyde said, agreeing with his best friend.

"I overheard you guys from the back. I've been hating that creep ever since the first day back." A familiar voice said as Lincoln and his friends looked to their sides to see Gwen approaching them.

"He's had that effect on a lot of people." Zach replied.

"So you're Gwen Stacey, right?" Rusty asked with a cool smile. "Pleasure to meet ya. I hear you're good with drums."

"Of course. I'm part of the Middle School band." Gwen answered.

"Nice. You know, one of Lincoln's sisters is in a band of her own." Stella replied. "You'd get along well with her."

"I know. Lincoln's told me all about his family." Gwen said, giving the white haired boy a kind smile.

"I'm sure he has. Now, why don't you find some lady friends to chat to?" Clyde suggested while folding his arms.

"Clyde! Be nice." Lincoln retorted, surprising the African-American boy. "Gwen just wanted to say hi."

"It's alright. I don't wanna cause some trouble." Gwen reassured. "So, Lincoln, why don't you and I get a closer look at these special spiders Mr Osborn is telling us about?"

"That sounds nice." Lincoln said kindly before he and the blonde girl walked off, leaving his other friends behind.

"Knew it. Lincoln totally has a crush on her." Rusty said with a smirk, only for Clyde to grunt annoyingly.

"Hey, Clyde? Are you feelin' okay?" Liam asked in concern.

"Sure. If Lincoln's okay, then so am I." Clyde answered, sounding a little bothered by the fact that Lincoln ditched them for Gwen.

"Wait, are you… jealous?" Stella questioned.

"Yeah, you really don't seem to like Gwen." Zach admitted.

"Hey, I'm not jealous. I just think it's not good for Lincoln to hangout with someone he's barley met." Clyde replied, hiding his obvious jealousy from them.

"Yeah, you're pretty bad at coming up with excuses." Rusty muttered.

As the students and Mrs Salter kept following Norman, the CEO of Oscorp then stopped in front of a few stacked glass boxes that each contained a spider.

"Here, we have a wide collection of spiders that contain the combined enhanced structures of all the other spiders we've previously seen." Norman told the class. "By extract some certain parts of their DNA, we were able to implant them into these fifteen radioactive super-spiders."

"Man, that sure is cool." Lincoln said to Gwen as he took a photo of the spiders.

But when Gwen took a closer look at the glass containers, she noticed that one of them was missing a spider inside.

"Excuse me, Mr Osborn?" Gwen asked while raising her hand, earning the CEO's attention. "There's only fourteen spiders. One of them is missing."

"Really?" Norman asked in surprise as he took a look at the container, seeing that the spider within was indeed missing. "Hmm, I suppose the researchers are doing some extra testing with that one. I don't know why I wasn't informed."

"Perhaps we should simply leave if and continue with the tour?" Mrs Salter suggested.

"Certainly, Mrs Salter. Let's all move onto the next site, now." Norman said before he and the class began leaving the room by the nearest exit.

"So, when do you think they're gonna bring back that other spider?" Lincoln asked Gwen in curiosity.

"No idea. Let's just focus on the rest of the tour, Linc." Gwen replied.

"Good thinking." Lincoln agreed, following his classmates with the blonde girl by his side.

However, nobody noticed that the missing spider was crawling around on the ceiling before it lowered itself down on a piece of thread and landed next to Lincoln. The spider then crawled towards the white-haired boy and got onto his leg without him knowing.

A few hours later after touring around the Oscorp tower, Mrs Salter and her class were seen walking out of the building with Norman following behind them.

"Alright, children, that's the end of our field trip." Mrs Salter said. "Say thanks to Mr Osborn for showing us around his tower."

"Thanks, Mr Osborn!" The students stated.

"That place was total wicked!" A boy said with a huge smile.

"I want to comeback here again, one day!" A girl added gleefully.

"You're all welcome. If any of you ever want to work here, you can sign up for an internship when you're older and work hard enough to earn a spot in our ranks." Norman said with a smile. "Have a nice trip back to your town."

"We will. Come on, kids." Mrs Salter instructed. "Let's get you back to your homes."

As everyone began to walk back to the school bus with their teacher, Lincoln decided to stay behind and he turned his attention to Norman.

"Hey, Mr Osborn?" Lincoln asked, causing the CEO to look down at him.

"Yes, young man?" Norman questioned.

"I'm Lincoln Loud, and what I got to see in your company's building was very great." Lincoln said kindly. "One of my younger sisters is very interested in your work since she's an amazing scientist and she'd one day like to come work here."

"Well, it sounds like your sister dreams big for a young girl of science." Norman commented. "You know, I'm something of a scientist myself."

"That sounds nice. Lisa would definitely enjoy working with a guy like you." Lincoln replied.

"I'm glad. You should never be afraid to dream big." Norman said with a smile. "Now why don't you head back to your class? I can tell you're going to do big things in your life, Lincoln."

Norman then turned towards the Oscorp Tower's entrance and he walked into it to continue with his important work, while Lincoln simply waved goodbye to the CEO.

"What a nice guy." Lincoln said to himself.

But just then, the missing radioactive spider from earlier appeared from under Lincoln's shirt and crawled itself onto his hand. Lincoln gasped in surprise at seeing the spider and it suddenly used it's fangs to bite him, causing the white haired boy to yelp in pain and grip his wrist. The scene switched over to show the inside of Lincoln's hand, which had some strange liquid being infused into his body from the spider's fangs. The liquid spread all across his body and it even made contact with his blood cells, making them glow in a light-blue colour.

When Lincoln quickly recovered from the spider bite, he swatted the arachnid away and it crawled away into a nearby bush.

"Stupid spider." Lincoln muttered to himself before seeing the bite mark the spider left on his hand. "Dang it, the girls are gonna start going ballistic when they see this."

"Lincoln, come on! We've gotta go!" Clyde called out from the bus.

"Okay, I'm coming!" Lincoln replied before he quickly rushed up to the bus and got inside.

Once Lincoln got into his seat near his friends and Gwen, the bus closed up it's door and drove it's way back to Royal Woods. When Clyde, Rusty, Liam, Zach and Stella looked at Lincoln, they noticed that he had a little bit of sweat dropping from his forehead.

"Hey, Lincoln, are you okay?" Clyde asked with a raised eyebrow, which was loud enough for Gwen to hear as she looked at them

"What do you mean, Clyde?" Lincoln questioned, hiding his spider bite.

"I think he means you're looking a little bit sweaty, pal." Rusty replied.

"Yeah, what's the matter?" Stella asked.

"It's nothing guys. The heat in here is just really getting to me, I guess." Lincoln said, smiling assuringly.

"Well, if you say so." Liam shrugged.

"We've just been on a good field trip, so there's no reason to be worried about you." Zach admitted.

"But seriously, Lincoln, you shouldn't be afraid to tell us something that's bothering you." Gwen told the white haired boy, not noticing Clyde was shooting a glare at her.

"I understand, Gwen." Lincoln replied with a smile.

Later, the school bus arrived in front of the Loud House and it opened up it's door to let Lincoln walk out of it with his backpack in hand. After the white haired boy waved goodbye to his friends, he noticed that Vanzilla wasn't parked in front of the garage and this meant that Rita was still out collecting his other sisters. Lincoln walked towards the front door and opened it up, noticing Leni, Luna and Luan sitting on the couch as he walked inside.

"Hey, girls." Lincoln said in a tired tone.

"Hi, Linky. How was your field trip?" Leni asked with a kind smile.

"Did ya like it, bro?" Luna questioned.

"Yeah, it was nice. We got toured around by the CEO and he was pretty nice." Lincoln explained, stumbling around a little bit.

"Hey, are you okay?" Luan asked with a raised eyebrow. "You're looking like a real sweat job. Ha ha ha ha ha! Get it?"

Leni and Luna only rolled their eyes annoyingly.

"Look, I think I'm just gonna go lay down on my bed for a bit. It's been a long day for me." Lincoln said as he began walking up the stairs.

"Well just to let you know, dad's cooking us some dinner." Luna told him. "You want one of us to come up later and tell ya when it's ready?"

"Yes, please." Lincoln answered, completing vanishing in the upstairs area.

"Okay, bye." Leni said while waving to her brother.

Once Lincoln got into his bedroom, he simply tossed his backpack aside and limped down onto his bed. He closed his eyes and began tossing around a bit before he soon started drifting away into a deep sleep that was about to give him a very unusual dream.

(Linebreak)

When Lincoln woke up within his dream, he found himself in some kind of dark void with no one else with him.

"What the… where am I?" Lincoln asked himself in a quiet tone. "Hello? Is anyone else there?"

Suddenly, Lincoln noticed a bright light show up behind him and he quickly turned around to see a huge light-blue web that glowed like a lightbulb, which was very shocking to him.

"Wow! Is this a giant web?" Lincoln asked, his jaw lowering down. "Where did it come from?"

As Lincoln walked towards the web and stared at it in wonder, one of the slots on it began showing an adult figure through some kind of magical screen. It appeared to be an average man, but he was wearing a red and blue one-piece suit that had cob-web designs, wide white eyes and a spider symbol on the chest. This spider superhero was fighting against some green-skinned villain in purple cloths and was holding a pumpkin-looking device in his hand. Lincoln was very amazed by this hero he saw, but then the glowing web began show even more heroes that were based on arachnids and they were all battling various types of villains or crooks.

There was a short teenage boy wearing a black and red spider suit, a tall female teen that wore a white and black suit with a hood over her head, a muscular man that was wearing a blue futuristic-like suit with some red highlights and sharp talons on his fingers, another man in a more dark-grey suit that looked like he came out of a 1950s movie, a punk-rock spider hero that had some metal spikes on his head and was playing an electric guitar for a bunch of fans, another similar spider hero with a red and black suit who was fighting some flying drones with turrets on a bridge, a young Japanese girl that was standing bellow a huge spider-like robot, an African-American woman who had a red biker-suit with some spider features and was driving a modified red motorcycle across a city, an average-toned Indian spider hero that had some golden bracelets on his arms, and finally some kind of cartoon pig that had the same spider suit as the first hero and was swinging across a local neighbourhood with a hot dog in his hand.

"Holy moly." Lincoln gasped, truly amazed by all these spider heroes he was seeing. "Who are these people? Are they superheroes?"

"Lincoln Loud." A mysterious voice said, making the white haired boy jump in shock. "It is time for you to become part of the Spider-Verse."

"Who's there?! Who just said that?!" Lincoln asked frantically. "What the heck is a Spider-Verse?!"

"Lincoln… Lincoln." The voice said repeatedly as Lincoln began closing his eyes in nervousness.

(Linebreak)

"Lincoln!" Luna's voice called out, making her little brother wake him in a shocked state. "Dad's finished making dinner! Come on down so we can eat!"

"Uh… okay. I'm coming down, now." Lincoln said, shaking his head around to snap himself out of his previous state.

That dream he had was truly astonishing to him, but it also put a lot of questions in his head. Who were those spider-themed people? Who was the source of that strange voice? What is the Spider-Verse. Lincoln decided to forget about the dream and he stood up from his bed, opening his room's door and leaving to go downstairs for some family dinner time.

Next time, Lincoln will discover his new gift
