Hanna's POV
I had just arrived home. My mom was working, so Aria, Spencer and Emily had picked me up. I still hadn't told anyone about how I maybe saw Alison. Part of me thought it was either a dream or a hallucination but part of me thought it was real. I was pretty sure that Spencer and Emily wouldn't believe me even if I did see her. Aria was the only other one who seemed to think that Ali was still alive. She actually seemed positive about it. I just had a hunch but she seemed sure of it. I was in a cast and a wheelchair. I really wished that I knew how to heal myself.
"Fuck this thing itches." I declared.
"Well it's not like we can take it off." Spencer remarked.
"Unless you can heal it." Aria said.
"Are you on that magic thing again?" Spencer questioned.
"We saw her do magic." Aria pointed out. I did wonder why she was having such a hard time believing it. "Can you do some right now?"
I then made all of the lights turn off. I wished that I had a real spellbook. I didn't trust that one that Mona had.
"So why don't you tell me what's going on with your lives?" I asked. I kind of needed a distraction from the fact that I was crippled.
"I told my dad about me." Emily declared.
"You told him that you're a succubus?" I questioned.
"No…I told him I'm a lesbian." Emily stated. Oh yeah she was that too.
"So how are things with Noel?" I asked Aria. Since I wasn't having sex maybe hearing about someone else's sex life would help me."
"Well he wants to wait to have sex." Aria answered. Okay, there goes that idea.
"So who got you this panda? Sean?" Emily questioned as she held out the bear.
"Lucas." I answered.
"That's sweet." The redhead commented.
"Yeah but him kissing me while I was asleep isn't." I remarked. "I want some fucking food."
"Your mom said that there's dinner for you in the fridge." Spencer remarked.
"Pass. I want a Pop Tart. I've had to survive on hospital food for a week." I responded.
"Well how about you eat and we'll go get the rest of your stuff." Aria offered.
The three of them left and I noticed the box was on the top shelf. Fortunately, I was at least able to levitate it down to me.
At that point, the three of them came back into the kitchen.
"You know I think I want take a nap." I announced.
"We're you going to eat first?" Aria asked.
"Well I'm going to eat then take a nap and I don't need you to take care of me." I told them.
"Okay…" Emily replied.
"Sorry, this pain is kind of messing with me," I apologized.
"Okay well you can call us anytime." Aria said before the three of them went out the door. God I really needed to find a real spellbook.
Emily's POV
My family and I were eating breakfast together. I hoped that my dad hadn't told my mom about me and I still had to find a way to tell them that I needed to eat men's souls to survive. I didn't know how I was going to keep doing that. It would basically make me a serial killer. Things were strangely quiet.
"I like these bangers. Are they chicken?" He asked. That was what he called sausages.
"No, they're turkey." Mom replied. She then turned to me. "So does your friend have any allergies?"
"What?" I responded.
"Is there anything that I should know about what Maya eats,." She clarified. Dad thought that maybe Maya and I should tell her together.
"No, She eats everything that I do." I remarked before Mom got up. "Dad, I know it was my idea, but do you think maybe I should cancel it?"
"I think that she's looking forward to it. She was up all night preparing the menu." Dad explained.
"Dad, there's something else that I need to tell you…" I started. He looked at me. I tried to find the words. I was essentially going to be telling him that I was a murderer. "…I have to get to school."
"I'll give you a ride then."
Spencer's POV
Alex had just dropped me off at school and I was giving him a goodbye kiss before he went to his own school.
"Get inside." He suggested.
"It's tempting but I'm going to have to pass." I said. "Besides, you have to get to school too."
"I don't think anyone would really care if I skipped." He admitted.
"Well they would if I did, especially since my new brother-in-law works here." I replied.
"Sounds like a good reason not to go." He stated.
"Yeah, but I'm just going to have to see you later." I said. I then started to go into the school and he drove off.
There were some thoughts going through my mind. Alex and I had been going out for a while and I was starting to think that maybe we should have sex, but I wasn't quite sure how to bring it up. Hanna told me that it went horribly when she tried to have sex with Sean. I probably also needed to try to get the pill or something, but I would have to find a way to hide it from my parents.
At that point, my phone went off and I got a picture from Ian and Melissa. I wanted to throw up. I wanted to talk to my parents about it but I had kind of broken up Ian and Melissa in the first place as well as Melissa and Wren so I was not in a position to judge. I also was wondering if anyone was still looking for Jenna. She was still at large and I assumed she was still dangerous as well.
Aria's POV
So one thing that we were doing while Hanna was at home was getting her homework for her. I felt like I should probably be doing her homework since she was only that way because of me. I still didn't know how I was going to tell them that. I didn't know if they would be able to forgive me. Even if I wasn't in control of myself, I had still almost killed Hanna after all.
"So maybe we shouldn't give her all of this at all. Hanna isn't exactly booksmart after all." I said to Emily.
"Hey Maya." Emily greeted her girlfriend. You know I had to admit they looked cute together.
"Hi." Maya retorted. You know I'm not sure how I would feel about dating a girl so much taller than me. Linnea was only about an inch taller than me. She was fun to be around.
"Are you still coming over for dinner tonight?" Emily asked. You know I was a bit surprised that she hadn't asked one of us to be there as a buffer but it was probably to come out to your parents without anyone else there.
"Yeah if your folks still want me to. What should I wear?" Maya replied. What does one wear when coming out? I might need to know that in the future.
"Anything…doesn't matter…a dress." Emily stated.
"A dress? Seriously?" Maya asked. I was pretty sure that she was serious. I don't think I'd ever seen Maya in a dress though. I smiled at her. "Is it formal or are you afraid of me looking butch?"
"Can you please not say things like that?" Emily requested.
"You know I should probably go." I stated. Things were starting to get awkward and I did not want to be around for that. "Also if you're going to wear jeans, you should definitely iron them."
I then saw a somewhat familiar head of blonde hair from behind. I shook my head. There was no way it was her, was it? She wouldn't be in Rosewood. I then started to look around for Noel.
Emily's POV
Okay, it was a little weird how she stopped suddenly. Who had she been looking at? I was really starting to feel hungry but I had a feeling that food wouldn't help with my cravings. Maya would probably be scared when she found out that I'm a succubus, even though I was pretty sure that I was no danger to her at least.
"Why are you acting so weird?" Maya asked me.
"It's just I'm kind of nervous about this." I lied. It wasn't like I could tell her that I needed to kill someone. "It would just really help if you're supportive for this."
"Alright, I'll wear the girliest dress I have. It'll be total black Barbie," She joked.
"Maya, this isn't a joke. I'm pretty sure that my mom is a raging homophobe." I stated. I was half-expecting her to try to throw me out.
I then went to English. It was weird without Aria there. I couldn't help but wonder what she was doing since she wasn't in English. Fitz was talking about The Great Gatsby. I heard Aria say how she thought it was overrated.
Aria's POV
So I was in the library. I was trying to work on my writing. It wasn't the easiest thing to do.
"Ms. Montgomery?" A voice interrupted me. I looked to see the secretary.
"Yes?" I whispered. We were in the library. Sure the librarian didn't shush everyone, but it was still the polite thing to do.
"Since you don't have a first period class anymore, I was wondering if you would be interested in showing a new exchange student around." She replied. I knew it wasn't a request. It sounded like a request but it wasn't a request.
"Sure." I responded with a fake smile. I supposed that there was nothing wrong with it, but I just didn't want to do it. I picked up my stuff and put it away before I started to get up and walk with her. It was a little odd that we were getting an exchange student this late in the semester though. "So where is this student from?"
"Iceland." She stated. I had a bad feeling about this. "You're also the perfect candidate since I know you speak some of the language."
Emily's POV
After class, Spencer and I were in the hallway.
"I'm not sure that I want to be there." I told her. I needed someone to vent to other than Maya.
"It'll be fine, but don't let Maya do all of the talking." She suggested. Part of me did feel that Maya might say the wrong thing and make things worse. "You might need to take control."
"Spencer! Emily!" Mona interrupted as she ran over to us. "I just found out that Hanna's mom has some bank thing in Scranton and won't be home until really late. So I want to do a surprise party for Hanna."
How exactly do you do a surprise party for someone who can't leave their house?
"I've checked with Mr. Hanna…" She continued. Was that supposed to be Sean? "…And Sean is totally down with it."
"Mona, I don't know if Hanna wants to do this right now." Spencer remarked.
"Of course she does. She's been stuck in that place for far too long." Mona argued. "She needs to socialize with people."
Well that would be a reason to skip dinner.
Aria's POV
So it turned out that the new student, who the secretary would not tell the name of beforehand, had actually gone home because they were still getting over jet lag or something. It sounded a little bit farfetched but I supposed that was what happened.
I got my chance to talk to Noel. I needed to spend some time with my boyfriend.
"So you're really not going to be in English anymore because you had a fling with the teacher?" He asked.
"Could you not say that so loud?" I requested. "But yes."
"You know I might have to use this information to get a good grade in English." He joked. At least I hoped it was a joke.
"Or you could not do that and not tell anyone that I told you." I replied.
Spencer's POV
I went outside to find Alex was there. I went over and gave him a kiss.
"Hey, I'm sorry I'm late. Practice went long, then I had to take a shower." I stated. I then noticed a pamphlet in his hand. "What are you reading?"
"A member of the club gave it to me. It's about a tennis clinic in Sweden." He explained.
"Sweden? Can you afford to go to Sweden?" I questioned.
"He wants me to apply. He said that a lot of people who go to end up playing in the Swedish Open." Alex stated. That sounded big.
"Do you think you'll get in?" I asked. "I mean you're pretty good at tennis and I could get an internship over there."
"I told my uncle that I would work for him. He needs bodies." He said.
"I'm sure he can find other bodies." I declared as I linked arms with his. "This is an opportunity that you probably won't get again."
"Maybe I don't want to go." He replied.
"Would you rather spend your summer doing construction?" I challenged.
"I'm not interested in being a professional." He declared. "I'd rather be here working and saving for college."
"But how can you turn something like this down?" I asked.
"Like this." He replied as he threw the pamphlet into the trash can. He then hooked his arm around mine again. "Now I believe we had a date."
Emily's POV
I was seated at the table with my parents and Maya. To say that things were a little bit awkward would be putting it lightly. Maya had at least stayed true to her word and worn a dress.
"So where are you going?" Maya asked my dad. He was being deployed once again soon.
"Fort Hood but I'm not leaving just yet." Dad answered. "So Emily how did you and Maya meet?"
"She moved into Alison's old house." I said. I hadn't told any of them about how Alison and I had kissed.
I decided that it would probably be best just to get on with it. Whatever was going to happen needed to happen.
"Mom, I have something to tell you." I replied. At that point, everyone looked at me and I thought that maybe I shouldn't do this at the moment. No, I had to do this. "I'm a lesbian. Maya is my girlfriend."
At that moment, there was even more awkward silence. It looked like my mom was trying to process things.
"Pam, could you please say something?" Dad requested.
"What do you expect me to say?" She asked. She sounded angry. "That I'm supportive of this? Because I'm not. Am I going to say that you can't live here? No. Am I going to say that you can't date her? No, but I am disappointed in you."
"I'm sorry if you wanted grandchildren," I replied. The truth was I wasn't even sure if I wanted kids. For all I knew, I would be passing my succubus lineage down to them. I still didn't know what I wanted to do with that/
"I'm worried that you're going to die and you won't get into heaven," She said. I was pretty sure that I was already not bound for heaven because of what I was. Though, I also wasn't sure if mortality was something that I needed to worry about. Mom then got up and went upstairs.
Hanna's POV
So my mom was out of the house which meant that I would be alone all night. I thought about calling Mona to come over. I could have called Sean, but then I would want to fuck him and I was pretty sure that he didn't want to do that, so there would not be any point. I then heard the doorbell ring and rolled my way over to it. I opened it and there was Mona.
"Hey, I was just about to call you." I told her. I noticed that she had a bag in her hand. "What's in the bag?"
"Everything that we need. Come on we need to start getting ready." She stated.
"Ready? Ready for what?" I asked.
"Your party. I already told everyone." Mona said.
"Mona, I can't have a party. My mom will kill me." I stated. Plus there was no way that I could have a good party while I was crippled like this. Why would anyone even come to a crippled girl's party?
"Your mom won't even know about it." She declared. "She'll be gone until late and we'll kick everyone out before she gets back."
"There's no way I can talk you out of this, is there?" I asked.
"Nope." She replied. "Now let's go to your room. I brought you a killer dress that won't get caught in your chair."
So I actually heard that there were like handicapped models or something. I wondered if they had to take that into mind. Mona took me into the bathroom so I could change. I just hoped that dress she chose was long enough that it wouldn't give everyone who looked at me a free show.
Emily's POV
I had been a little unsure about going to Mona's party at Hanna's house before, but since my mom's blowup, I definitely wanted to be anywhere but home. I even brought Maya with me.
"So that went well." She commented.
"Are you fucking seriously doing this right now?" I snapped.
"I'm just trying to lighten the mood." She stated.
"Well you don't always need to lighten the mood." I told her. I didn't know if she had any alcohol, but I could really go for a drink right now. There were quite a few people there when we got there. I started to look for my friends. I knew Hanna would be there but I wasn't sure if Aria or Spencer would be there at all. I would meet back up with Maya later.
Hanna was indeed the first person that I found. She looked kind of uncomfortable in the dress that I assumed Mona had given her to wear.
"Hey." I greeted her.
"Hi." She said with a bit of an uneasy smile. "So I guess Mona told you about this."
"Yeah, she said that she wanted it to be a surprise." I said.
"Well I was definitely surprised." She admitted. "How did things go with your mind?"
"They sucked." I declared. "Well she didn't exactly kick me out or anything but she specifically said that she didn't support it."
"Do you want to stay with me for a few days?" She asked. I imagined that she probably wanted company, but I didn't want to seem like I was the one running away from things. "Maybe by then everything will blow over and your mom will be okay with it."
"I don't think she's going to magically stop being homophobic," I declared. I then noticed that Noel was there and he had brought some beer. I went and grabbed a cup.
About an hour later, I had had a few drinks. It was getting a little bit hard to see. That was when Maya found me. I went over and kissed her.
"Emily, don't take this the wrong way but I think you've had too much." She said.
"I haven't had enough." I argued.
"Why are you even drinking like this?" She asked.
"Maybe because my mom hates me, my girlfriend doesn't care about my problems and I'm freaking killer." I stated.
"You're not a killer." She remarked. She didn't know that I was. "And I care about your problems. I'm sorry for making jokes. It's a defense mechanism so I don't have to deal with whatever issues I have."
"You don't even understand what it's like to be me," I told her. "I'm going home now."
"At least let me walk you." She offered.
"I can get home myself." I said as I headed out the door.
After a few minutes, I couldn't help but notice a person that I very much did not want to see.
"Hey Dyke." Ben greeted me.
"Ben, you should really leave me alone right now." I declared.
"I don't really have any reason to be afraid of you." He responded as he got closer. Maybe it was because I was drunk or maybe it was because I was hungry, but I kissed him and bit his tongue and fed until he was dead. It felt so good. I wasn't even aware I was being watched.
Spencer's POV
So Alex and I were at the party together. I was still upset with the fact that he didn't want to play professional tennis. He could make the money that he didn't have growing up and people would stop looking down on him. He wouldn't have to deal with everyone calling him a townie wherever we went.
"What's on your mind?" He asked me.
"I really think you should reconsider that program." I said.
"Are you still hung up on that? I already told you that I don't want to do it." He replied and I still didn't understand why he didn't want to do it. There were people who would kill for an opportunity like that and he was literally throwing it away.
"But you could be more than the kid that everyone looks down on." I declared.
"Do you know how many professional tennis players there are right now?" He asked. I really hadn't ever thought of that. "Almost 2000. How many of them could you recognize? 5? 10 maybe if you followed tennis? At least if I'm working here I can do something of worth."
"But you could be somebody." I replied.
"That's what this is all about. You're ashamed of me. You're ashamed that I'm not rich like you are and you want me to be rich so you're not embarrassed to be seen with me." He told me.
"That's not true." I responded through my tears.
"Well why can't you just love me for who I am then?" He challenged. I didn't have an answer for that. "That's what I thought. I'll see next time you're at the club."
He then walked out and I started to cry some more. I was pretty sure that I had just been broken up with.
Hanna's POV
It was late at night, everyone had left and Mona had helped me clean up before leaving herself. You know being alone at the end of the night wasn't all that it was cracked up to be. It was boring and a little bit scary. It was then that my phone rang and I noticed it was from my dad.
"Dad?" I answered in surprise.
"Your mother told me about your injury. She said that a wolf attacked you and it bruised your spine." He replied. He didn't seem surprised. It sounded pretty hard to believe that a wolf would be that strong when you said it like that. "Please tell me that you didn't let it bite you."
"No." I remarked. Why was everyone concerned about it biting me. "Is that the only reason why you're calling?"
"No, I also have the spell to heal you." He declared. He said some works and suddenly I was no longer hurting. I stood up and I felt fine.
Aria's POV
It was the next day at school I was kind of glad that I had skipped the party. Parties really weren't my scene. I prepared to go to the library to work on my novel before I saw the secretary with a blonde girl not much taller than me. I could not believe it. It was her.
"Linnea." I said in surprise.
So it's been about four years since I updated. I just got inspired to write a new chapter of this story. I don't know if anyone will read it. Linnea is played by Zara Larsson. If you do read, please don't forget to review.
