Chapter 31: Celebrations and Payback
Stella had arrived home, and rushed inside to check on her son. She found Ann, who had been tending to him and the blonde mother gasped.
"Pierre!..."She said, and her baby let out excited sounds.
"Mama! Mama!..."He said, as he reached out for her.
Stella felt her eyes water a bit, as she went and took him from the maid. She held her son, and kissed his forehead tenderly.
"Mama's here. I'm sorry that I'm late..."She said gently, as she hugged her son.
There were a few close calls tonight, and she had genuinely been worried that she wouldn't see him again. She was just glad that wasn't the case.
"Madame Bevier, where is your father?..."Ann asked, not seeing the head of the Traville family anywhere.
It was then that Stella realized that she had left her father at the hospital. She gasped.
"Oh dear. He must still be at the hospital..."She said, surprising her servant.
"The hospital?!..."Ann asked in alarm.
"It's a long story. He's not hurt too bad, but I can't believe I just left him like that. What's wrong with me?..."Stella said, as she pulled out her phone an quickly called his number.
After a few moments, there was an answer.
"Hello?..."Richard's voice was heard.
"Oh, Daddy. I'm so, so sorry that I left you behind. I wanted to see Pierre and I...I'm sorry!..."Stella said in a frantic way, feeling guilty.
Thankfully, her father is an understanding and forgiving person in general. He wasn't mad at her.
"It's alright, Sweet-pea. I know that you probably had a lot on your mind and just got distracted..."Richard said, while Stella still felt badly about this.
"I'm still sorry. I'll send someone to pick you up right now..."She said, but her father refused.
"No need. I'm at Kirk and Joy's house right now..."He said, surprising his daughter.
"Why are yo there?..."Stella asked, not understanding this.
"It is his birthday, and we're continuing his celebration at his house..."Richard explained.
"Oh, I see..."She said, not sure how to react t that.
"Why don't you join us? I'm sure that they will be okay with an extra person at the party..."Her father said.
Stella thought about it, but she noticed her son tugging on her sleeve, trying to get her attention. The blonde mother already knew her answer.
"Thank you for the offer, Daddy but...Pierre needs me right now and...well, it's been a long night. I'm kind of tired..."She said, though that was only part of the reason.
"And things are still too awkward between us. I can't just go attend their party like we're still some big, happy family..."She thought, knowing that even if they won't say it out loud, her presence isn't exactly welcomed in her ex-in laws home.
"Very well. Still, I'll try and bring you and Pierre some cake when I get back..."Her father said, making his daughter giggle a bit at that.
"Thank you, Daddy. I hope you have fun. Just don't stay out too late..."Stella said.
"I know, I know. See you later, Sweet-pea..."Her father said before hanging up.
Once he did, Stella sighed but put her phone down.
She was glad that her father is alright, but she also knew that he was at one of the few places that Stella knew that she is not welcomed at. Even so, she wouldn't say anything since she felt that it was not her place to.
"Well, at least he's having fun..."She said while her son tried to get her attention.
"Mama?..."Pierre let out.
"Yes, my little angel. Now, I do believe that it's past your bed time..."Stella said since it was already quite late.
The mother soon left to go rock her baby to sleep in the room that they were staying at the Traville Estate. After she managed to get her son to sleep, Stella ended up doing the same thing as well.
Despite what had happened, she is just grateful at least that Star and her father are okay.
After the day that they all had, they more than deserved some time to have fun...and in her case...a good night's rest.
Meanwhile
At Kirk and Joy's house
It was late in the evening and everyone was now at Kirk and Joy's house to continue his birthday celebration.
They ordered some pizzas and other take out that Joy had ordered and extra cake to recreate the party.
"Make a wish, Honey..."Joy said after they all finished singing happy birthday to him.
Kirk did so, making a quick wish and blowing out the candle while everyone cheered.
"So, what did you wish for, Pop-Pop?..."Star asked.
Joy shook her head.
"Uh-uh, Star. You know that if you tell your wish, it won't come true..."She said, smiling at her grandchild.
"And I already got my wish..."Kirk thought as he saw his son and grandchild here and they looked like they truly wanted to be here.
The small party continued. Everyone was truly having a nice time.
The stress, tension and danger from the last few days was finally gone and they could finally enjoy themselves. Especially with the Forces of Nature no longer being a threat. Things may not be like they used to be, but right now, they were even better.
"Happy Birthday, Pop Pop. It's been a heck of a trip..."Star said, sipping her drink.
"Yes. Well, we have a lot to celebrate aside from Kirk's birthday..."Richard said.
"Yeah, we managed to kick ghost butt and send those Freaks of Nature packing..."Jack said, being that that they managed to do some ghost hunting in New York.
"We also managed to mend a few personal bridges..."Johnathan said, smiling at his parents who smiled back.
"That, and enjoy it without seeing Beatrice..."He quickly added, not hiding his distaste for her around her husband.
"Yes, Beatrice...and celebrate the fact that I am no longer moving to Switzerland..."Richard said, like he was talking about the weather.
His words caught everyone's attention, especially his granddaughter.
"Really, Grandpa?!..." Star asked, excited while her grandfather nodded.
"Yes, these last few days...spending time with your mother...Pierre and you...reminded me of how much you two and our family means to me..."Richard said, in a tone of realization..
"I enjoy traveling but I wouldn't be happy moving so far away. And personally, I would miss New York and the Atlantic is too much distance to put between myself and my grandchildren..."He said, being sincere.
Star responded by hugging him.
"I'm really, really glad that you're not leaving!..."She said, as her grandfather hugged her back.
"As am I, Star..."Richard said, sounding happy.
"So...what about that wife of yours?..."Jack asked, pointing out the elephant in the room.
Richard sighed but knew he had to acknowledge it. He tried to explain as best he could.
"She already bought a home there, and purchased a bunch of new furniture, all which are non refundable. But it's no big deal, we had been thinking about getting another Summer home and Switzerland is lovely this time of year..."The old man said, waving it off.
"I can always visit here when summer ends over in Switzerland, and when its her birthday. It won't be so bad. It'd do us both some good. Besides, Beatrice clearly needs some time to end by herself and I think that with time alone, away from the big city may be beneficial to her mental health..."He said, trying to rationalize this decision.
"And being several thousand miles away from that screeching banshee will be good for your mental health too..."Johnathan muttered under his breath, also glad that she far away from him too.
Star heard this, agreeing with her father. As far as she was concerned, she only had one grandmother. Still, she loved both her grandfathers and wanted them both to get along. She wanted them all to be happy.
"The farther away she is, the better..."She said to herself, as her grandfather went to get another drink.
"Plus, maybe with an ocean and half a dozen countries between them would help grandpa realize divorce is a good idea and cut her out of all of our lives. Maybe then, he can look for a much nicer woman to make him truly happy..."She thought, still thinking her grandfather was too good for that old bat.
"Anyway, come on. Cheers. This is a happy day and we still have much to celebrate..."Richard said, smiling as he poured the sparkly grade juice and handed it to Kirk, who smile.
"You can say that again..."Kirk said, taking a sip.
"Now your talking my language..."Jack said, as he chugged his own drink down.
Everyone else continued to chat, merry-make and enjoying the food, as they all continued the birthday party happily without a care in the world .
Later
The small but intimate party continued and everyone seemed to be in high spirits...except that there is still one loose end that needed to be dealt with, and Team Phantom knew it.
Namely, the loose end that caused most of the problems they faced during their trip in the first place.
Danny, Star and the others were still mad, since one piece of this troublesome puzzle was still left unresolved.
"It makes me so mad just thinking that old bat is getting away with nearly destroying all of New York and trying to trap you with that lousy box, just because she wanted to get rid of you!..."Star said, extremely angry by the old bat's petty attics.
I'm not surprised. She's the third worst person I've ever met..." Danny replied.
The second was Vlad and top of the podium was of course his future evil alternative self. Still, Beatrice was a special kind of evil that he wasn't able to stand.
"I'll say. She's lucky she's already on the other side of the planet, otherwise I'd sucker punch her teeth out for even trying to pull behind our backs!..."Star said, still enraged by her former grandmother and her evil stupidity.
"Agreed, this is so typical of one percenters like her. She might not have meant to, but she was the cause of all of this! All because she's an opportunistic witch, who doesn't care about anyone or anything besides herself!..."Sam said, angry.
Danny had told them about Beatrice's evil monologue...about how she was going to bribe a judge to get her hands on Star and child protection services to rip the rest of the team from their parents, all out of spite.
Sam had met some selfish awful people before and after Danny's accident, but Beatrice was going to ruin peoples lives just to marry her granddaughter of to an abusive creep, and to get back at them just for having the guts to call her out on her crud.
"And I thought my parents could be jerks, but that old bat takes the cake!..."She muttered, wanting payback and and bring that bitter woman to justice.
"You have no idea. What I would give to give her a piece of my mind and "repay her" for nearly dooming New York and ruining our trips and my Pop-Pops birthday. I'd love to punch her in the face right now, among other things!..."Star said angrily, enraged right now and her grudge against Beatrice getting worse now.
"I did tell her that I'd sent her to the Ghost Zone if she caused trouble again...but I have no desire to fly all the way to Switzerland to see her ugly mug again and dragging her across the Ghost Zone..."Danny said, shaking his head.
"Besides, when you get down to it, it would be more like we were punishing all the ghosts by having them deal with her. Sure, they are bad guys in their right, but even they don't deserve to deal with that screaming, irredeemable old bat making them all miserable..."The ghost boy said, showing his ghost enemies mercy.
"True..."Star admitted.
"I think I speak for all the Ghost Zone, dude when I say "Thank you for the mercy..." Tucker commented. "Plus you don't need another reason for your enemies to hate you by ditching Beatrice the Terrible on them..."He added, knowing that it would just make matters worse for them in the future.
"A very good point, Tuck..." Danny agreed.
"Hate to admit it, but you're right.." Star admitted, but she was still angry at her ex-grandmother and what she has done.
"I just wish that we had a chance to get her back for the huge mess that she caused!..."She said, wanting payback on her nasty ex-grandmother.
"Wish granted, Blondie..."Was heard.
Team Phantom soon saw the adults freeze in place, and they saw Puck appeared.
"You again?! Isn't this eavesdropping thing getting old?!..."Sam sassed, momentarily forgetting who was the most powerful being here right now.
Puck sent her a glare and still didn't view the goth girl in a friendly light at all. She was the mortal who had misrepresented his Queen on stage and the fair folks didn't forgive quickly. Still, he settled for using just his words for how.
"Well hello to you too, Sunshine. You dried off quick..."Puck said sarcastically, before returning to a much more jolly expression for the others.
"Hi, Puck. Uh, not that it's not nice to see you again, but why are you here? Don't you have somewhere else to be, Puck? Like a poker game with Hercules?..."Tucker asked, trying to keep Puck from turning Sam into a pigeon or something.
"Nah, that's not till next Tuesday. Also, it's Heracles, not Hercules, that's the Roman variation..." Puck said, having pulled a calendar out of nowhere to double check.
"Wait, he's real? Actually, never mind. Why are you here?..."Danny asked.
"Just stopped by to pick some stuff up. And since I'm here in the Big Apple I thought I'd have some fun and check up on you guys before I left..."The fairy said, and Team Phantom suddenly paled.
Pucks idea of fun involved some kind of chaos and it probably would be worse because Vlad ticked him off.
"Uh... what fun?..."Star asked, nervous.
"You're gonna like this type of fun ..."The fairy said, smirking.
"Anyway, I heard your evil Ex-granny still hasn't leaned her lesson. No need to worry, I've come prepared..."Puck said, snapping his fingers as an alligator print suitcase appeared out of nowhere.
"And don't get all hissy with me, Sunshine. This is imitation...After all, animals are mortal after all and I can't harm mortals. Remember?..."He added, seeing right through her.
Sam fumed but didn't say anything she didn't like the fairy, but she unlike the Fruitloop wasn't stupid enough to pick a fight with him.
"Since I'm gonna be busy dealing with Plasmius for a while, I can't deal the same punish on her the way I would like, but I think I have something in mind that you will find fitting and entertaining..."Puck said, as he pulled out a sword and held it like a big cello.
"A sword?! Are you...uh..."Star paused, with a pause as she made a slicing motion with one of her hands moving across her neck.
"You know that I can't kill mortals...but I am more than willing to give them a little scare! And that's what this bad boy is great at!..."Puck said, sounding excited for what was about to happen.
Star still didn't get it and neither did Jazz, but Danny soon noticed the king of sword that he had and panicked.
"Wait...is that the Soul Shredder from the Fright Knight?!..."Danny exclaimed, since he recognized it immediately.
"Ding ding ding. We have a winner!..."Puck said, as he applauded Danny.
"How did you get that thing from Fright Knight?!.."Tucker asked, worried that the Halloween Spirit would appear to retrieve his signature weapon and cause havoc like when Danny stole it for his haunted house.
After all, New York's had enough ghost problems without Fright knight showing up to make things even worse.
"Oh, I just borrowed it. And don't look so worried, I left a note. Plus, Tall, dark and purple cape can't track me and his fancy little butter knife here doesn't work on me..."Puck said, not looking worried at all. "Plus, we go way back. So, he won't mind that I use this for a while..."Puck said, confusing the teens.
"What does that mean?..."Danny asked, sounding uneasy while Puck smirked.
"Oh...lets just say that he's no stranger to me and my tricks ..." He replied in a mischievous way, as he thought about his "old friend".
Meanwhile
In the Ghost Zone
The Fright Knight was in his spooky, medieval castle that towers over many over realms in the Ghost Zone.
He was spending today to make plans for how he'd spread fear and terror on the mortal world. After all, there was no chance of anyone being stupid enough to free Lord Pariah again. There was no way in the universe there were two people living in this millennium stupid enough to do that.
Anyway, right now, he was taking it easy.
"Nothing better than taking a hot shower after weight lifting to keep my strength in tip top shape..."Fright Knight said, having finished taking a shower and began to dry himself off.
He walk by as his armor, which had recently been polished.
"There is no one that can stop me from letting me spread so much terror across the human world now that I'm free..." He said evilly, planning on making mortals remember why they should fear the spirit of Halloween now and forever.
Well, with the Soul Shredder, he'd make them taste fear again. He was sure of it.
The Fright Knight reached for his armor, to put it on, and last but not least grab his sword. However, he sensed that something was wrong and he no sooner knew what that was.
"What... the?..." He thought before he saw a certain important item of his was no longer there.
He gasped when he saw that his prized Soul Shredder was no longer in it's scabbard next to his newly polished armor. He soon became angry and started yelling throughout his castle.
"WHERE IS IT? WHO DARES TO STEAL FROM THE FRIGHT KNIGHT?! IF THAT GHOST CHILD HAS DARED TO HAVE STOLEN MY BELONGINGS YET AGAIN, THAN I SHALL HIM CLEAN THE ALL OF MY CASTLE IN IT ENTIRELY AND SHOVELED NIGHTMARE'S STABLE WITH A SMALL SHOVEL AS PUNISHED THIS TIME! AND THEN I'LL DESTROY HIM!..."Fright Knight yelled, thinking that Danny might not have learned his lesson the last time he stole from him.
However, he soon noticed a note on the strap of his scabbard. He frowned, as he picked it up.
"What in the name of the Ghost Zone?!..."Fright Knight said as he began to read the note.
"Hey F.K, it's been a while. I picked up your fancy sword to torture-I mean punish a nasty old bat for a while. It won't take too long, so I promise to bring your soup scrubber real soon. So no need to start chopping heads off with other medieval tools. Also, start considering some throw rugs or something as your décor is deplorable...Hugs and kisses...Puck..."The Fright Knight said before his eyes widened and he dropped the note once he read that name.
The evil knight stepped back and groaned bitterly.
"N-No, not him! WHY MUST THIS BE?! WHY DID HE HAVE TO COME BACK?!..." He said, having recalled the last encounter that he had with that magical trickster.
Puck, due to being a fairy, is one of the few beings that his soul shredder has no effect over. However, it doesn't mean he couldn't use it if he felt like it.
The Fright Knight sat down, his hanging in defeat. He knew that his sword was pretty much gone right now, and he won't get it back until that mad fairy was done with his latest scheme, whatever it is.
Puck might not be able to directly affect real ghosts with his powers...but he is still very tricky and powerful. Their last encounter nearly left him without his trademark armor and left him trapped in the South Pole as a ghostly ice sculpture for a month.
An experience that he did NOT want to repeat!
The Fright Knight is ticked off that his signature weapons has been swiped, and he had no way of knowing where it is...but he also knew that only a fool would dare cross Puck or try to get between him and whatever unfortunate fool who became his target.
So, unfortunately for the ghostly knight there was only one thing to do. Loudly vent his anger.
"CURSE YOU, PUCK!..."Fright Knight yelled to the cosmos, as he shouted so loud that half of the residents of the Ghost Zone can hear him.
His faithful steed, Nightmare, came flying to his aid but was confused by his behavior, as it's master was currently yelling in fury and dismay right now.
Back with Team Phantom
The teenagers were stunned to see that the fairy had the accursed sword and made it sound like it was no big deal at all. Stealing from Pariah Dark's second in command is dangerous, but the male fairy just acted like he was borrowing a cup of sugar from a neighbor.
"Okay. Now, I'm off to give Wrinkles another visit. Wanna see what scares her off her wits ?..."Puck offered.
This made the teenagers rather curious to say the least. They all stared at Puck .
"We of course we know you put the fear of flying in her, Danny. Good job on going all "tall, dark brooding vigilante" on the bitter old bat by the way, but now I think we need to be a little more...creative..." He said. "And I have just the thing to do it..."He added, smirking.
Suddenly it made more sense why Puck had the soul shredder, and that made the teenagers all the more interested in this plan.
"I wanna see!..." Star said, wanting to make a mental note of this, just in case she might need to deal with that nasty, old witch again.
"Me too!..."Danny said, both out of excitement and curiosity.
"That makes three of us!..." Jazz said.
"Make that four/five of us..." Sam and Tucker said simultaneously.
Puck smirked.
"Okie dokie. Next stop, the lady Grinch's summer house..." Puck said, as he snapped his finger for a sparkly magical portal to appear.
"I'm just gonna need to borrow your voice for a moment, Danny.. "Puck said, asking in a polite tone of voice.
"Borrow my voice...what do you mean?..." The Ghost Boy asked, but covered his mouth once he realized his voice was replaced with Puck's.
"What did you do?..."Danny demanded, using Puck's voice.
"Like I said, I need to borrow your voice. I wanna mess with the old bat for a bit. Don't worry, I'll bring it back once I'm done..."Puck said, using Danny's voice.
Star heard this and cringed.
"This is too better give Danny his voice back right this second. This is getting creepy..." Star commented, while her boyfriend nodded.
"I'll say, Puck. I get you wanna mess with that old bat. I do too, but my reasons are way more personal than yours... " Danny said, still using the fairy's voice.
"I'm happy with this arrangement in the least... So, give it back..."He insisted, and Puck frowned.
"Party pooper..." He complained, but nevertheless complied.
Danny cleared his throat, before speaking up.
"Testing... One, Two... Three..."He began, but to his shock, he now sounded like Star!
"What The?... Danny-Boo, you sound like... Me?!..." Star said, slowly as she soon realized she now sounded like Danny.
Both teens glared at the fairy, realizing what had just happened.
"PUCK!..."They both yelled at the fairy, who was laughing right now.
"Sorry, I couldn't resist..." Puck snickered. "Come on, lighten up a little, you two share tongues, why not share voices?..."He teased.
Danny and Star blushed furiously by that comment, annoyed as he kept laughing.
"Wow, this is weird. I know I said I wanted a little sister, but not like this..." Jazz said, earning some laughs from the others.
"Not funny Jazz!..." Danny said, still sounding like Star.
"Kinda is, Dude..." Tucker snickered, and even Sam cracked a smile at that.
"Oh, you think so Foley?..." Star growled, still sounding like Danny.
"Then maybe we should ask Puck here to switch your voice with Jazz, see if you still think that's funny!..."She said, still sounding like her own boyfriend as she said this.
Tucker wisely shut his mouth, while Jazz looked appalled by the mere suggestion of what Star just said. However, the fairy thought about it and shook his head.
"That's a waste of my craft..." Puck said, giving Jazz a wink as if he was implying he didn't want to put her through that.
The couple huffed at his blatant favoritism, before grumbling to themselves.
"For the record, Starlight as much as I like your voice, doesn't mean I want it as my own.." Danny said to his girlfriend, still speaking in her voice.
"Ditto on that, Danny-boo." Star nodded, before cringing. "It's so weird calling you that with your voice..."She said, not used to this.
"I second that emotion..." He said, still sounding like Star, before turning to face the fairy.
"Now Puck, you're supposed to cause grief to Beatrice! Not us!..." Danny said, looking annoyed.
"Give us our real voices back. Now!..."Star insisted, and the fairy rolled his eyes.
"Fine, fine..." The fairy said airily. "Can't blame a guy for having a little bit of fun before the main event begins..."He said, snapping his fingers once again
After Puck did switch Danny and Star's voices back, they gave their voices a test drive to make sure they really got their voices back.
"Testing...testing..."Danny said, and was relieved to have his own voice said.
"1...2...3..."Star said, smiling as she had her own voice back.
"Yes..."She said, while the fairy smiled.
"So, I'm guessing since you invoked the rule dibs...I'm guessing you have a plan..."Puck said.
"Dibs is a rule for fairies?..." Star asked.
"Less of a rule and more like a guideline but hey...Danny boy here makes good mischief when he feels like it..."Puck said, as he jerked his thumb in his direction.
"So, what did you have in mind?..."He asked, while Danny sent him a serious look.
"Well, since scaring her and giving her a fear of flying didn't seem to work...we are gonna have to try something a little more...cruel and unusual..."Danny said, as his eyes glowed green with anger
"Now you've got me interested. Tell me, what do you have planned?..."The male fairy asked, intrigued.
"I say we hit her in the only place and I need your help I need you to-..." Danny leaned over whispering into the fairy's ear.
Puck nodded as a bigger and bigger smile made his face almost cut itself in half. Once he was done, the fairy sent him an approving look.
"Not bad, kind. Not bad at all. If you ever want lessons in causing chaos, let me know. I'd be willing to take on a student..." Puck said. "Especially if that student might be my brother in law in the future..."He said, sending a flirty look to the red haired girl of the group.
"Over my dead body!..." Jazz snarled, not wanting anything to do with the fairy but Puck seemed to take the rejection well.
"Okay, fine. I get it. Don't worry. I'm not Vlad. I can actually take no for an answer..."The fairy said, but Jazz had a feeling this wouldn't be the end of it.
"Anyway...you in?..."Danny asked, and Puck smirked.
"Duh, I'm in. I really like the way you think, kid. Let's get that no good, old crone..."Puck said, as he as he snapped his fingers and soon vanished, taking the ghost kid with him.
All the while, leaving a portal of viewing to the teen audience. Star and the others saw that they all finally had a plan for payback that they all agreed upon. They now had a front row seats to witness how it'll all play out.
"This is gonna be sweet!..."Star said, eager to see justice delivered to that despicable old bag she no longer viewed as a relative.
"I just wish we had some popcorn to really enjoy the show we're about to see..."Tucker said, also wishing for some refreshments too.
Suddenly, several buckets of popcorn and some soda appeared, along with a note saying "Enjoy the show, love Puck".
Star and the others gave the fairy several thumbs up, except Sam, who still had her own issues with him.
Anyway, they all sat down and Tucker decided to pull out his PDA to record everything that's about to happen, waiting for the "show" to start.
Meanwhile
In Switzerland
In a very expensive looking lake house, an elderly woman was in the middle of finishing her moving.
She was looking around her new home. She then heard something was about to be dropped and angrily turned around.
"Careful! That sofa costs more than your annual salary..." Beatrice complained, as the delivery people brought in the new furniture that she bought.
"Diese alte Fledermaus ist der schlimmste Mensch, den ich je getroffen habe!." The delivery guy said, in German. "Auch verrückt!..."He added, frowning.
The old woman just glared at the workers as she continued to criticize them
The guys soon went back to work, as the old woman just sat in her new home. She just sat there, as she waited for them to be done and to leave already.
This old woman was Beatrice Traville, who was currently in hiding or more accurately...she was running away from her problems.
She sneered at the workers, she didn't want to be disturbed under any circumstances, while she complained that they couldn't they understand simple English.
"Okay, it's been a few day since the fiasco with that ghostly box. I think that I'm finally safe..." She thought in an uneasy way.
"I'm safe and sound..."She whispered, almost like a mantra.
Beatrice just had to get away from the ghosts and the other unwanted pests that made their way into her life. However, her troubles didn't seem to be over yet as she received the email from her husband .
Beatrice angrily threw a tantrum as she read an e-mail from her husband, telling her that he wasn't going to move to the other side of the world.
"What a worthless man did I marry! No matter! As long as I'm far away from that Phantom Menace...and I have access to Richard's bank account, I'll be okay..."Beatrice thought, angrily but being forced to accept this for now.
Anyway...sometime later after the movers were finished, the old lady was alone with her thoughts and for the first time in a long time, she felt like she could think clearly.
"Good, they're gone. Maybe now I can finally have some peace and quiet. It was such a nightmare on that boat..." She thought, once the delivery people had left.
She recalled her journey hear and grown. She was just glad that it was all over, and she can rest.
She now sat in the middle of her temporary new home, in her new, expensive looking living room.
She wasn't sure if Switzerland was far away enough, but it was the only place suitable on such short notice for a grand dame like her. She didn't care if she was running for her life or not, she however wouldn't settle to be among the commoners.
She looked around her new lake house, which would serve as her home until she could find a better, more fitting place for a woman of her status.
It was an expensive looking place which for some was perfect but wasn't enough to satisfy her needs. Still, it was all she could get on a short notice and as much as she didn't want to... she would have to "tough it out" until her husband came to his senses and decided that moving was the best course of action and she can get access to his check book and the rest of his credit cards again.
Even until then, the old bat was sulking and for the first time in a while had the luxury to sit and relax, now that she felt that she no longer had to fear for her life.
"It's all that horrid Phantom's fault, along with his ghostly minions! First, he corrupts my weak-minded traitor of a granddaughter and sabotaged all my plans to make her a proper lady and marry a wealthy heir to ensure her future, as well as turning that foolish daughter of mine against me and making Richard question my authority! I hate that punk so much!..." She thought in bitterness, still blaming him for her troubles.
"I don't know how yet but I'll make him pay! I just gotta buy some time!..."She thought.
Despite her hate, she was still in no rush to confront that freak of nature.
After that nightmarish trip to Amity Park, her traitorous daughter had cut off all ties with her and she couldn't for the life of her understand why she would dare do such a thing after all she has done for her! Beatrice wanted to reach out to someone like her other children, such as her son Liam, to make him talk some sense into her rebellious sister and get her to see reason, but Phantom's threat made her too scared to even try.
She was too afraid to even leave her house, unless it was to obtain anti-ghost artifacts or more blood blossoms. She couldn't even get a good night sleep in her own home since that trip, she either stayed a week all night or suffered nightmares.
She felt like she was slowly losing her mind, especially after some ghost turned her into a bat and did all sorts of terrible things to her that she was desperate to get more anti-ghost artifacts to protect herself...that box being one of them.
"Much good that did..." She thought angrily. "Still, I just got to keep trying. Sooner or later, they'll all know that I'm right!..."She thought, still as narcissistic as ever.
However, things have not gone the way she wanted. Even before the box incident, she had made little progress in her plans. A while back, she had tried to call her son in hopes of getting an ally for her future attempts.
Liam had always her favorite child, and she always believed that he would be by her side. However, Liam had stonewalled her and that infuriated her. Apparently, Richard had blabbed to him and told her about her "episodes" and Liam had only told her to rest and let it go, acting like she had gone crazy.
She hated that word as much as she hated that freakish ghost kid.
"I am NOT crazy! Not now or ever! That Phantom Menace is!..." She thought, still seeing him in the wrong.
She refused to see herself in the wrong, but unfortunately, she didn't have anyone on her side anymore!
She had tried to contact her son several times in hopes that he'd help aid her against the evil ghosts and traitors, but instead... Liam had stonewalled her and sometimes didn't respond to her calls, to the point where he and his wife came to ask Richard to make her cease and desist or else they would go the legal route just as Stella had done.
She couldn't believe her own son would do that to her, and she knew whom she blamed for his unreasonable behavior towards his very own mother.
"That accursed Phantom has made my precious son go against me, just like the rest of my so-called family! He'll pay for that too!..." Beatrice thought angrily blaming him for everything.
She punched the arm of the couch as if she was throwing a tempter tantrum. Even worse, her daughter's attorney had been from the same office as Estelle's mongrel father and aided in making the restraining order with that fool, it made her blood boil.
She was not happy and now those ghosts had probably destroyed her once beautiful home and who knows what else they would have done. She sit down angrily but then calm down .
It was maddening and then some..
"Whatever the case, it's not my trouble anymore..." She grumbled. "Those ghosts can harm those filthy commoners and traitors for all I care. It's not my problem anymore..." She said callously, not feeling guilty at all.
Now, Beatrice was here in Switzerland of all places... driven from her home by more ghosts but she'd find a way to get life back to the way it should be.
She'd never believed of ghosts in the first place, so they must have something more effective than that box for her next attempt.
Just then, the old bat stood up with a determined look in her face, still seeing herself as the victim in this whole mess.
"Sooner or later I'll succeed! And when I do, they'll know never to cross the Grande Dame! I will make that abomination pay for what he did to me!..."She thought in anger, determined to get her revenge.
Whatever it would take, she'd make sure she brought it back to get rid of that peasant monster who corrupted Estelle and ruined her life. Then Beatrice would get Stella back in line and regain her rightful position as head of the family. Then she would ruin her former son in law and get everything back on track.
I'll get what I deserve!..."The former Grande Dame thought, nearly crushing a remote control in her fist as she continued to daydream on her upcoming revenge schemes.
Beatrice was pulled out of her thoughts, when the phone rang. The old hag scowled, looking confused right now.
"Oh, who could that me? I haven't even given Richard my new number yet..." She muttered, as she went to go answer it.
The grand dame picked up the phone, ready to tell whatever idiot who was on the other end not to bother her and to leave her alone.
"Hey, you old bat. It's been a while..." A voice on the other end spoke evenly.
However, it was a voice that made the old woman's blood run cold, as she instantly recognized it.
Beatrice's heart started beating rapidly as she recalled her last encounter with the owner of this voice...remembering him holding her high in the air by her leg and nearly killing her in a matter of seconds.
She nearly dropped the phone and scream but the fear in her was so great that all she could manage to do a whisper.
"N-N-No...No, it can't be...it can't be him!.."She whimpered out, shaking right now.
"P-P-Phantom...I...I..."She squeaked out, fear replacing her previous emotions in an instant.
"I see that you remember me. I'm touched..." He mocked in a fake-happy tone of voice. "You know, I thought after the last time I didn't think I'd ever have to talk to you again..."He said, his tone losing it's false friendliness.
Beatrice gulped at his cold, angry tone, and tried hard not to let her dignity soil onto her new carpet, which was easier said than done.
"W-What...*Gulp*... What do you want? I've stayed out of Amity Park!..."She said, trying to sound stern.
"Yeah, I know that you haven't seen foot in my town but that doesn't mean you kept your end of the deal..."He said, sounding ticked.
"What are you talking about?! You're the one who called me!..."She said, trying to use anger to cover her nervousness right now.
"You're right...I did...funny story. Star's here in New York, with me. We were visiting Kirk for his birthday. You probably remember Kirk and Joy Strong. You know...a cute old couple...Mr. Strong's parents and Joy being the only GOOD grandmother that Star has, since she's nothing like you? Them?..."Danny's voice said, a hint of mocking in his tone.
Beatrice grit her teeth being reminded of that grease monkey and the judgmental peasant who'd given birth to her former son in law. She never liked them since they reeked of middle class and in her eyes, they weren't worth Estelle's time, unlike her..
"So, what's your point? Did you just call me to mock me? And how did you get this number? I didn't give it to anyone else..."Beatrice said, spooked out as she tried to hide her growing fear.
"I have my ways...like how I know that you are currently hiding out in an overpriced lake house, all the way out in the mountains of good ol', Switzerland. Really?..."Danny's voice said, before chuckling a bit.
"Couldn't you hide further? Like the South Pole?..."He asked, sounding amused now.
Beatrice gasped and nearly dropped her phone, looking around in horror as she almost expected him to appear and attack her.
"How do you know that?!..."She asked, terrified out of her wits.
"Like I said...I have my ways...anyway, as I was saying. While we were here, Star and I learned about your recent little "hobby"...and how you wanted to get your way and get rid of me. You see, your magic ghost box...you know, the one you bought in hopes of CAPTURING me...you know how it was occupied and those ghosts ruined Kirk's birthday and tried to destroy all of New York...those same ghosts who caused so much destruction and who's leader also tried to either marry or kill your own daughter, and hinted that he'd try to do the same thing to Star once she was legal age. I'll give you a guess on which one ticks me off the most!..."Danny's voice said darkly.
"I have no idea what you're talking about..." Beatrice tried to deny it, but obviously that didn't end well for her
"Save it! The jig is up. We know that you were the one who bought that box, unleash those creeps and instead of owning up for what you did and try and clean up your mess, you ran away to the other side of the planet to escape responsibility and save your own butt! You were so desperate to leave, basically leaving everyone else to do your dirty work and clean up the huge mess that you left behind!..." Danny said, sounding both disgusted and angry.
Beatrice started to sweat nervously now, she couldn't believe that she was caught. And by the last person she EVER wanted to be in any form of contact with.
"I...I..."Beatrice tried to lie her way out of trouble, but her fear was too much and she was stammering now.
"Don't even bother trying to coming up with an excuse. I know EVERYTHING. I also know you tried to get rid of me and still marry Star to some other rich snob!..."Danny said, furious. "You really don't know the meaning of the word "No", don't you?..."He asked, sounding angry and disgusted .
Beatrice was silent, as he kept berating her over the phone. Too scared to talk.
"I tried to be nice to you...I thought keeping you out of my city would be enough and everything would be okay, but it seems like that little talk we had in your hotel room wasn't enough, so I guess I need to make things much clearer for you..."The ghost boy said, Starting to sound angry like he was that night.
Beatrice broke out in a cold sweat, she gulped and could only whisper.
"What do you want from me?!..."She asked, her hands shaking as she was even more pitiful than before now.
The ghost boy then spoke in a more chilling cold tone of voice, as he kept calm while talking to her .
"I'll make this crystal clear, if you try to do anything and get another anti ghost cursed doohickey... I'll know and trust me that only then you'll know I'm not playing around..."He said, seriously.
"So do us all a favor and drop any little plans you have, just so your granddaughter will end up a abused trophy wife and get rid of me. It's never gonna happen!..."He threatened sounding just like he did that night, "Do I make myself clear?..."He asked, sounding like he means it.
Beatrice could only hyperventilate in fear, and was gasping now. She still didn't answer him yet.
"Hello?! Anyone there. Again, do you understand?..."He asked coldly.
"I understand..."She quickly stammered out, fearing for her life right now.
"Good, oh and one more thing..."Danny said evenly.
"What else?!..."Beatrice asked, her voice cracking a bit due to her fear growing by the minute.
"Since you didn't learn your lesson last time we talked ...I guess I may have to stop by for another little visit and make sure that you don't do anything like this again..." The ghost said, not sounding pleased right now.
"You know, just to make sure that you really understand where you stand in all of this..."He said, sounding serious.
This time Beatrice dropped her phone and walked away from it as if that would be enough to distance herself from the teenage menace.
He had to be bluffing! There was now way he could do anything to her a continent away...right?!
"See you in a few..." He said, before it turned into a gloat she could imagine the glowing eyes glaring at her while he threatened her.
Beatrice paled.
It was a bluff, it had to be!
"Y-You...you don't have any ways of getting here...even if you know where I am. You're just trying to scare me!..." Beatrice bellowed out, making mental plans to move out of here A.S.A.P.
After all, she was Beatrice Traville, people didn't scare her.
She was ABOVE them commoners! That's what she has always known!
She was a grand dame surrounded by peasants and upstart commoners, nothing more, nothing less. She was also on the other side of the world, and that monstrous boy couldn't reach her...right?!
On the other end, she heard a click...and then a chillingly familiar voice.
"Wanna bet?..."Danny's voice was heard, sounding sinister.
Beatrice had a bad feeling about this, fearfully looking around. There was an eerie silence in her home as looks around for the ghost boy.
Suddenly, a portal appeared in her living room, one that was glowing green and going to her.
"What the f-..."Beatrice's curse was cut short when some ectoplasmic goo flew into her mouth.
"Now, is that any kind of language for a civilized person?..."Another voice was heard as he entered the living room.
Within the portal, Danny appeared in his ghost form. His eyes glowing green and his body emitting ecto-energy and he sent a intense look to the terrified Grande dame who was shaking like a leaf right now.
"Mmm..."Beatrice whimpered out, her eyes wide as the ghost boy was right in front of her.
"Boo..."Danny said mischievously, floating in the air.
That did it, Beatrice lost it. Both her dignity onto the carpet, and any rational though flew out the window as the ecto-goo dissipated and she screamed.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!..."She let out a blood curdling scream, as she turned around and ran for the door.
"I GOTTA GET OUT OF HERE!..." Beatrice screamed as she ran out the door, but as soon as she was outside, she came in contact with what looked to be a sword.
"Nice try, Granny. But I think it's high time that you learn a little of the meaning of life..." A robed figure said, as he lifted the soul shredder inches away from her throat.
"AHHHH! THE GRIM REAPER?! No, please! I'm too young and beautiful to die!..."She screamed, fearing that this is the end for her.
"You wish. But no, Grim sadly has his hands busy with work elsewhere. And young and beautiful? Really? Do you even OWN a mirror, lady?..."The figure said, as he finally stabbed the old bat with the Fright Knight's sword.
The old bat's body began to glow and as soon as the process started, it ended. She didn't feel any pain at all.
"What?..."She said, not understanding what was happening, but Phantom and the "reaper" did.
Suddenly the environment changed, not that she noticed yet.
"I'll say this is quite the improvement..." Danny smirked, while his minion laughed loudly at her.
Beatrice was confused, not understanding what is going on here.
"What is going on here?..."She asked, but soon looked at her clothes.
She then gasped in horror, once she realized what she was actually wearing right now.
Instead of her expensive dress, shoes and hat, she was now barefoot, her clothes were now had patches and looked little more than rags. She also lost all her jewelry she had on a few seconds ago, replaced with some cheap knock off.
She was horrified and confused.
"What is this?!..."Beatrice exclaimed, as she looked at herself. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME?!..."She yelled, looking appalled right now.
"Oh, you're just experiencing you own worst fear...the only thing you fear as much as Danny here..."The figure said, as he held the sword and pointed at the Ghost Boy.
Beatrice pulled out her purse, but saw that it was now old and ragged. She saw that she had no credit cards, cash or a check book.
It was all gone!
"NO! THIS CAN'T BE! WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?..."Beatrice shouted. "This has to be some sort of nightmare!..."She yelled, wishing that was the case.
"Nope, this is all 100% true!..."Danny said, while his minion laughed at her dumbfounded expression right now.
"Don't you get it you old hag? You're broke now, you know Poor...bankrupt, penniless. Pobre..."The figure said, being frank with her.
"You know everything you hate..."He added, while the old bat seemed to be on the verge of a mental breakdown right now.
"ME?! A POOR PERSON?! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!..."Beatrice shouted, sounding truly horrified.
"Yup, you're assets has been frozen. Don't worry, only you can't access anything, your husband will still be able to get all he needs, as if nothing ever happened. But you can't..."Puck/The figure said, smiling. "And look you now have a house fitting of you... Status..."He said, laughing loudly right noe.
To Beatrice's horror, she turned around and now saw that her once lavish home now nothing more than a very small broken house located under a highway overpass, on an old overgrown playground filled with litter.
"This can't be!..." Beatrice yelled out, horrified that her once luxurious home was replaced with a poor man's filthy hovel.
"Believe it..." Danny snarked. "I mean that's all you can afford now that you're...you know... Poor..."He said, while the grande dame flinched.
"STOP SAYING THAT WORD!..."She screamed, slapping herself as she hoped that this was all just a bad dream.
The ghost and his minion just snickered.
"Yeah, well...guess what? Your words mean nothing since you're no longer of the upper class, you're the lowest of the low, quite fitting if I do say so myself..." Puck said matter of factly. "Let's go, Phantom..."He said, giggling while the old lady panicked as they were about to leave.
"Wait, I can't live like this! You can't leave me like this!..."Beatrice yelled, but they didn't care.
"Sure we can, and you better learn to live like everyone else. Or else..." Danny said, smirking as the old woman continued to scream.
"B-But...what am I suppose to do?! I don't have a dollar to my name! How am I suppose to pay for that disgusting place or pay for food or or... for getting my hair done?!..."Beatrice asked, looking like she really was losing her mind. "Look at it! It's a mess!..."She yelled, pointing at what looked like a gray birds nest on her head.
"The same way PRODUCTIVE members of society...get a job and work for it..."Danny said, smirking.
What he said seemed to be like a death sentence to the old woman, who was stammering in shock and nearly looked like she was about to faint right now.
"A J-J-J-J-J-J..." Beatrice couldn't even finish that word, to her it was poison.
"A job..."Danny said flatly. "Yeah, you better start searching the want ads before you end up on the streets..."He said, while the old bat was still processing her new reality.
"Yeah. As much as we'd like to make this last forever...this sword isn't ours. So, I think a month will do for now..."Puck said, while the old hag looked like she was about to drop to her knees in despair right now.
"A MONTH?! LIKE THIS?! You can't be serious!..."She shouted.
"Serious as a heart attack..."Danny said. "So you better get used to it..."He said, while the old bat felt like she was facing a fate worse than death right now.
"B-But...I don't even know how to do ANYTHING on my own! I've never had to do any kind of work before! I've never even washed a single dish in my entire life! I don't even know how to brew my own tea! You can't do this to me! I won't be able to survive like this for a month!..."Beatrice yelled, acting like she was given something worse than a death sentence.
"Oh, don't say that. You'll never know unless you try it..." Puck said in a faux caring way.
"Cheer up...you'll have your money again in a month's time...maybe more... That's way more than most people get to look forward to. You're such a lucky old hag, aren't you. You haven't worked a day in your life, but now you get to learn. I guess you're never too old to learn something new..." Danny said in a mocking way, "Ooops, did I hit a nerve now?..."He mocked, smiling.
"NO! I CAN'T ACCEPT THIS!..."She yelled, please you can't do this .
"You don't got a choice, Madame Liver spots. Think of it this way, you'll finally understand what it's like to actually earn your money...ya know...like normal people do..."Puck said, while the old bat kept screaming bloody murder right now.
"BUT I'M NOT LIKE MOST PEOPLE! CAN'T YOU SEE THAT I AM NOT A NORMAL PERSON?!..."She yelled, sounding utterly desperate right there.
"Truer words have never been spoken..."Danny said, and Puck nodded.
"Okay fine, I suppose I can make things a little easier for you..." Danny said, as he got something out of his pocket and dropped two cents onto Beatrice's waiting hands.
The former rich old bat was appalled by the very low amount she how had in her procession.
"Remember when we met I wanted to give you my two cents and you said you didn't want them?..." Danny said. "Now you don't have the luxury of turning them down..."He said, feeling like this was the icing on the cake for his revenge.
Beatrice's face turned red with suppressed rage, however anything she wanted to say was cut short and Danny got in front of her face.
"Listen and listen good, Beatrice. This is strike two!..." He snapped.
"Any more funny stunts like the one you tried to pull...and trust me, strike three won't be pretty ..."Danny said in a menacing way.
"It will be a thousand times worse than what you're experiencing now. Never forget that, since there won't be anymore chances after that!..."Danny said in a sinister sounding way, as he glared at her.
He was making it clear that his patience and mercy is near it's limit. Beatrice gulped nervously, feeling fear course inside of her as the ghostly boy and his minion both hatefully glared at her.
"Oh, before I forget... when you finally croak, Stella reserved a time for Mr. Strong to dance on your grave. He promised that Star and I could have a turn after him..."He said cheekily, before he turned around.
"I think I'll join in the fun..." Puck said,
"Oh, and one last thing..."Danny said, ready to give the old hag a final parting "gift"
"What?!..."Beatrice asked, wondering how this could get any worse.
The ghost boy began to glow green, his eyes bright green as he duplicated into 4 copies...all of them with glowing fists and pointing them at the old bat.
"BOO!..."All the Danny's said darkly, while the old hag screamed and and ran as fast as she could, only to run into a nearby pole and knocked herself out.
Puck laughed at that.
"Nice one!..."He said, while Danny smirked.
"Thanks. That was very cathartic..."He said, glad they could do it.
"Come on, let's go..."He said, seeing that their work is done.
Soon the two of them soon left for home, leaving the now unconscious and impoverished woman to suffer in her month long punishment.
Leaving her to receive the the harsh lesson that was LONG overdue.
A few thousand miles away
In America
Danny and Puck returned to the Strong living room, which is still frozen in time, with the exception of the teenagers and the fairy.
Danny smiled as his wonderful Starlight and the others had witness the entire thing and applauded them.
"Nicely done..."Star said, pleased as she clapped.
Danny and Puck both took a bow.
"Thank you, thank you!..." Danny said like he was on stage.
"Oh, you are all too kind..."Puck said, acting like he was receiving a standing ovation from an audience.
"Do you think it worked?..." Star asked.
"I hope so. It's getting exhausting playing up the ghostly spookiness. But hopefully the message has finally sunk in. If she knows what's good for her..."Danny said while everyone was clearly entertained by what they had just witness.
"Man, did you see the look on face when you told her that she's now broke and had to get a job?!...Tucker said, laughing.
"Classic. That was too good!..."Jazz said, giggling.
"Priceless!..."Sam said, glad that old witch got what was coming to her.
"I knew you'd guys would love it. Too bad it's only temporary, but the soul shredder isn't ours and even I'm not willing to let her deal with it's effects for all eternity... No matter how tempting it may seem..." Danny said.
"Sometimes, you're too nice, Danny-Boo..."Star said as she wrapped her arms around him and planted a kiss on him.
"What? I don't even get one. I was the one that got us the sword in the first place..." Puck said in a faux offended way.
Star rolled her eyes, but since she was in a good mood, she turned to Danny and he shrugged.
"Fine..."Star said before she blew a kiss to the fairy in gratitude.
Puck saw this and smiled.
"I would have preferred one from Jazz, but I'll take it..." He said.
"So not happening!..." The redhead said, but Puck didn't look unfazed at all.
However, the goth of the group still had her doubts about something.
"Not that I'm doubting the fact that you guys gave that old bat what was coming to her...but what's going to stop her from coming back once she has access to her money again? I mean clearly she's both stubborn and stupid to try again?..." Sam reminded them.
"If she does, she knows it will be strike three. And like I said, it will be a thousand times worse than what she's going through now..." Danny said, making it clear that his mercy on that old bat has a limit.
"Right... you almost gave her a heart attack last time..." Star said.
"Remind me never to make Danny mad..." Tucker whispered to Jazz, who nodded.
"Anyway, As much fun as this was. I gotta go...Plus, my favorite bakery is selling these chocolate crepes in Paris that I really need to get some..." Puck said, craving them.
"Wait...what about Vlad?..."Jazz asked.
"No worries, Jazz. He's dealing with his punishment right now...and believe me when I saw, he'd rather switch places with Beatrice right now than go through his current predicament a moment longer..."Puck said, snickering a bit as he knew the kind of misery his captive is going through right now.
"Which is what, again?..." Tucker asked.
"Sorry, can't say. New fairy policy. Just knows that he is really regretting ever coming to New York..." Puck said before he made a final bow.
"Anyway, gotta go. As they say in Paris, au revoir..."The fairy trickster said as he disappeared.
With Puck's disappearance, the adults awoke from their frozen state and continued with the party as if nothing had happened. Danny and his friends began to enjoy themselves again. However, one of them was still bothered by something.
"Wait...there's something I don't get..."Star said, as she recalled something.
"You say something, Star?..."Danny asked, while she held a finger up.
"There's one thing that's still bugging me..."The blonde girl said while they stayed close as to avoid anyone else hearing her.
"What is is, Starlight?..."Danny asked, taking a sip of his drink.
"I mean...if Puck was with Vlad and and it was only 3 ghosts in that mystic box that were released...what was with that trash monster that attacked us earlier?..."The blonde girl asked, recalling the incident.
Team Phantom all stopped upon hearing her words, as they recalled that ugly, smelly, disgusting looking creature that nearly attacked Danny and Star before Joy got rid of it with her taser.
"Yeah, that's a good question. What was up with that trash monster ghost?..."Sam asked, having heard about it from them.
"To be honest, I was so taken away by the awful smell, I forgot that my ghost sense didn't go off. I don't think it was a ghost..."Danny said, looking lost.
The teen couple were silent for a moment, pondering over the creature.
"Honestly, I have no idea where it came from or why it tried to attack us..."Danny said, clueless having not given the trash monster a lot of thought.
"Maybe it was one of those other ghostly legends of New York. You know, like the ones that your dad was talking about..."Tucker suggested.
Danny and Star both considered it, though the latter was unconvinced.
"Maybe, but I lived her for more than half my life, and I don't remember a legend about a garbage covered ghost that smelled like sweat socks and onions. I don't think it wanted a fight either..."Star said, still looking lost.
"Not sure why it came after us...maybe I looked like someone it hated..."Danny said, not knowing that it was the furthest from the truth.
His girlfriend just shrugged.
"Who knows, but it's gone now. Whatever, my Nana beat it with a taser she got from a door to door salesman, so it's not that powerful. I think that we're fine..." Star said after thinking about it.
"Yeah, you're probably right. It was probably nothing important..."Danny said, deciding to end it here.
The teens then relaxed, continuing the birthday celebration and to enjoy the rest of their stay in New York.
Later that night
After the party everyone returned to the hotel at around almost midnight, and they were all tired.
They had almost immediately gone to sleep without concern over what happened.
Unaware of a certain someone finally waking up from their taser injuries now.
"Oh, my head!..."A pain-filled voice said in a daze, after finally escaping the sewers of New York, and kept running in a frightened, deranged manner.
"I hate this city!..."The figure yelled, as they kept running off into the night to get away.
The next day
Team Phantom, The Fentons, The Strong and Solene, no longer having to worry about ghost attacks or unwanted drama, got to enjoy the rest of their visit to New York.
They soon spent the entire day, finally feeling like they were actually enjoying their vacation. They all had spent most of their day with Kirk and Joy, and even Richard joined them for were all enjoying each other's company .
Stella had been invited, but she chose to stay to take care of her son, though someone figured that it was to avoid any more awkwardness with her former relatives.
Anyway, they had their lunch and continued to tour the amazing city that was now ghost free...well...as far as Danny's parents knew.
As they walked, Danny and his friends looked over to see the view of the city.
They were kind of surprised to see that the famous city was going about like it was a normal day... as if the night before there hadn't been a fight between a ghostly trio of freaks of nature, along with a power hungry ghostly sociopath from Wisconsin, against a teenage ghostly superhero who had his patience tested more than once.
In fact, the damage from yesterday's fight was already being fixed, and everyone got back to business as usual. Almost like it had only been a dream.
"Wow, it's almost like nothing happened. You'd think that everyone would make more fuss on what just happened. Even our town had freak outs during the first major ghost invasion.." Danny pointed this out to Star.
Star, being a native New York, just shrugged and smiled.
"What can I say, New Yorkers are tough and are more resistant when something crazy happens. We will survive and rebuild, it would take more than a ghost attack to turn things upside down..." She said, like it was no big deal.
Danny, who had a B in history, knew plenty of crazy stuff has happened in New York in the past, but not this crazy.
Still, he took her word for it.
"This city sure is full of wonders..."Danny commented, smiling and holding his girlfriend's hand.
"Yes it is, never a dull moment here..." Star said, before smiling at her boyfriend and gave him a flirty wink.
"Of course, you're the greatest, Danny-boo!..."She said, giving him a peck on the cheek that made him smile
Sam saw this and rolled her eyes, and Tucker shook his head at their mushiness.
"It's way too early for me to deal with you two lovebirds flirting and almost making me hurl..." Sam snarked, but it was lighter compared that usual.
"I'll say, I don't need to see this first thing in the morning ..." Tucker agreed, wanting to have fun. "Let's get some more grub and see some sights before we have to leave. Plus, I promised Val and my mom that I'd bring back some souvenirs.." He said, recalling his promise.
"Something for Val?..." Danny teased, with a chuckle while his friend shrugged.
"You're not the only lover boy around here, Dude..." He said. "So, souvenir time anyone?..."He asked.
"What Tuck said. There are still a lot of gothic sites that I have been meaning to see. Besides, I promised my grandma that I'd bring her a snow globe from this place for her collection..." Sam said, recalling her own promise.
"Alright. Why not?..." Star said, as they all went to get some souvenirs and continue sight-seeing the amazing city that was FINALLY free of megalomaniac ghost villains with overgrown ego's and delusions of grandeur.
Later
Team Phantom had gotten to tour the sights, thankfully without seeing any problems from ghosts again, or creeps either.
They managed to get a lot of great souvenirs and taken a lot of pictures and videos at the city's most famous landmarks. Sure, they couldn't do a lot since they had to be attentive to the fact that both Kirk and Joy still had their injuries, but the elderly couple insisted on doing these things.
Overall, they had a lot of fun going to these places.
Joy and Kirk even acted as something of tour guides to their new friends, and Joy even helped Solene with some shopping and even showing her the right way to get a cab around here.
Johnathan saw this, and was happy to see that his parents and his girlfriend truly seemed to be getting along and weren't just acting nice for his sake, like they did in the past.
It seemed like they were truly enjoying themselves.
"Something that should have been done a long time ago..."He thought, as they continued to enjoy their day together.
They also visited Richard at his home to spend time with him for, Stella and Pierre during "tea time" before they had left to go eat out at another restaurant that Johnathan loved and was nostalgic about...one that thankfully had both meat and vegetarian options on the menu, much to Sam's relief.
Though, he had an ulterior motive as to why he wanted to dine there, but would be revealed once they got there.
All in all, it was a really great day that they enjoyed in the Big Apple.
However, their trip wasn't over yet...and a certain couple still had plans of their own.
Later that evening
At the restaurant
Everyone had sat down and repeated Kirk's birthday dinner at the restaurant which was similar to Otto's, so that they could redo the celebration.
While they did have a small party last night, Johnathan insisted on eating there since he wanted his father to have a better memory eating out at a nice restaurant...he wanted it to go better than the last time.
Thankfully, the repeat birthday dinner had gone off without a hitch, this time without family drama, no Heather St-whatever her last name was, no running into Chip and dealing with his crud, and best of all, no ghosts trying to destroy the city and no Vlad trying to ruin everything with his pettiness and his deranged attempts steal Maddie.
It was awesome!
After that, they had dessert and everyone had a good time talking and making happy memories about the trip.
Now it was late, and Danny and Star were alone now, managing to sneak away from their families for a moment.
He carried her in the air in a bridal fashion, wanting to make the most of this chance.
"Where to?..." Danny asked, holding Star tenderly.
"There..." Star said, as she pointed ahead.
He landed her on one of the edges of a tall Building, near one of its gargoyles. The two teens soon stand next to the gargoyles and admired the view, of the city.
It was already late and all of New York's lights were turned on. They saw various bright, vibrant lights that seemed almost magical to look at right now.
It was truly breath taking to watch.
"This is a sweet view..." He admitted, admiring the sight.
"Told ya..."She said, holding his hand and squeezing it a bit to get his attention.
Danny noticed and smiled at her. The two continued to hold hands, enjoying their private moment. After all they had gone through, they really needed this.
"Man, it feels like forever since we had a moment like this. Just you and me...no ghosts...no drama...just us...alone..."He said, feeling happy right now.
"I'll say. This was probably the craziest vacation yet...but it's also the best since no matter what...we're together and that's all I wanted, Danny-boo..."Star said sweetly, making Danny smile more at that.
"You took the words out of my mouth, Starlight..."Danny said, chuckling a bit.
Star giggled, before they both stared into each other's eyes. The young couple felt as much love as ever right now, as they continued to admirer each other now, in stead of the view.
"I love you, Danny-boo..."Star said lovingly, wrapping her arms around him.
"I love you too, Starlight..."Danny said, holding her tightly.
The two hug each other intimately and leaned in, making their intentions quite clear right now.
The love birds soon shared a kissed tenderly, before it became more intimate. They stayed like that for a long time, as they finally got to enjoy the romantic moment in New York that they have been looking forward too since they arrived here.
All in all, it was the perfect end to the perfect day in good old New York city.

REPLIES to my loyal and totally awesome reviewer:
RonaldM40196867:
1) Joy and Kirk. Christopher does too.
2) They mostly go to their house if Heather isn't there, but they mostly hang out in other places.
3) While they tried to be nice to her, they found her prissy, shallow and spoiled ways to be grating at times.
4) She hated how snobby and bossy she was, as she felt that her brother could do much better than her.
Fiction Realm: NeoMark has written some side stories. However, if someone else wants to do the same thing, they could ask me first and I will decide if they can.
Pokemon fan 1991: Thank you :)
Here are my responses to your questions:
1) Most likely.
2) I'll think about it.
3) I think I would pair Danny with either Marinette, Kagami or Zoe Lee.
4) I prefer Hawkmoth since he is more complex than Vlad is.
Danifan3000:
1) Yeah.
2) For now, those creeps are still demoted and paying off a huge debt as punishment for their actions.
3) Well, Colette hasn't found him yet.
Invader Johnny: Yeah.
Jebest4781: Thank you :)
Luiz4200: Yeah :)
Guest: How's this?
JDF Legacier Morphicon: Thank you :)
Here are my responses to your questions:
1) Not really.
2) It would be interesting.
3) I think he served the Egyptian king, and became mummified at some point.
4) It would be hard having to fight the one she loves, as he has no control over his own actions.
5) I wouldn't like it, since I do see Skulker as a good parent.
:) I hope you enjoyed this! Remember to read and review :)
