Sorry I haven't updated this in so long! I decided to take a break from it and well... you get the idea. Anyway, I'm gonna try and finish this fic.

I own nothing.

Chapter Seven.

...

With a great effort, Amity prised her eyelids open and immediately shut them again. The fluorescent light almost blinded her, and her body felt like it had been mashed into a pulp before being hastily pressed back into shape by a drunk three-year-old wearing very thick gloves.

She looked around. She was in a hospital bed. A lot of her body was buried in casts and bandages and there was an IV inserted in her arm - which she was tempted to take out even though she knew that was a dumb idea. Luz was sitting by her bed, her head bowed as adorable little snores came out of her mouth and nose.

"Good morning." she smiled, nudging her. Immediately, Luz awoke and breathed a sigh of relief "I was worried you wouldn't wake up."

Then Amity remembered.

Her mother had tried to kill her.

No, not her mother. Her mother wasn't that bold. What had thrown her out of the window was an animal in a human body.

"Luz... what did the doctors say?" she asked, running her hand through her short purple hair.

Luz hesitated "Amity... I've got some really bad news."

"Luz..?"

"They managed to save you, but..." tears began to form at Luz's eyes "Your legs..."

Amity tore off the blanket with her bandage-swathed hand. Her legs were still there... but that meant...

Amity's eyes welled up "No... No..."

Being careful not to touched her many, many bandages, Luz wrapped her arms around Amity "I'm so sorry..."

...

Mayor Philip Whittibane marched through the corridors of city hall, his not-so-trusty aid Kikimora at his side.

"Has anything on the Goblin been found?" he curtly demanded as he adjusted his cufflinks.

"Nothing, sir." replied Kikimora, struggling to keep up with her boss's long strides "Our men are all being drilled as we speak."

Philip sighed, throwing open a pair of doors to reveal a balcony hanging over a truly enormous crowd of reporters, all of them sweating profusely under the hot sun.

He slicked back his short greying hair, adjusted his blue suit and stepped into view "Attention! I have brought you all here to give my response to certain events. Namely, giant dogs and this 'Goblin Queen'. Well, I assure you that this will not stand! I will personally see to it that she ends up behind bars."

As flashes shot from the Cameras, Philip continued "Furthermore, vigilantes such as Daredevil, I ask you this: What gives you the right to take the law into your own hands? To act as judge and jury? Thank you, and-"

BOOM!

"HAHAHAHAHAHAA."

Willow lay was texting Gus when the sound of post being deposited came from the door. She went to grab it. Bills, bills, and- a letter from the Bugle?

She opened the envelope and read it, twirling her braids.

'DAILY BUGLE PHOTOGRAPHY INTERNSHIPS!

'The Daily Bugle is accepting interns to learn the ropes of photography.

'To learn more, contact us at .com'

Willow blinked. Of all the things she was expecting, she was expecting this less than a purple elephant to destroy her bedroom and dance the Charleston.

She thought to herself for a moment, then opened her gallery on her phone. Most of the photos on there were decent, but not Newpaper Material.

Right?

She started texting Gus to see what he thought.

...

I'm gonna leave it there. Sorry this was so short.
