We're all back at Plaza del Losers for the night, and leave first thing tomorrow. Scott won, Mal is gone, and now there are no more worries. Dawn is even helping Ezekiel return to his human self. All in all, this was a great season, way better than the original All Stars. Right now I'm chilling by the pool area with DJ and Geoff.
"Dudes, this is awesome man. Now we can kick back and totally hang without having to worry about anything." Geoff said chugging a bottle of soda.
DJ nodded. "You've said it man. The hotel was nice, but it feels good to hang around here with all of are friends again. Old and new."
"I hear ya." I said. I looked around to see Scott and Owen devouring the steak like pigs, while Courtney was just watching with an amused smile. Everyone was just doing their own thing without a care in the world. "It's a pretty big family we've got huh?"
"It sure is man." DJ agreed.
"Well it's about to get bigger dudes. I heard Chris talking about doing another season with a completely new cast, on a whole nother island." Geoff told us.
"Seriously? I five seasons of almost dying, people still wanna sign up for this show?" Noah said walking towards us.
"Hey, maybe they just want a taste of being a member of the Total Drama family." Geoff said with a smile.
"Or they've got nothing else to do so there parents told them it was either this or military school. Personally, I would have chose military school." Noah said walking away.
"Well whoever the newbies are, they better be ready. Knowing Chris, he won't make things easy for them." I told them.
"No doubt about it." DJ agreed.
I'm sitting inside eating a slice of pizza when Zoey walked up to me.
"Hey Duncan, do you have a sec?" She asked.
"Sure Red, what's up?"
"I just wanna thank you for everything you've done. You and Scott were able to bring Mike back just like you said. I honestly don't know what I would have done without your help."
"Hey it's no problem. Just glad we were able to defeat Mal for good." I told her. She then gave me one of her big hugs, and I hugged her back.
"I'm gonna miss you when we leave tomorrow." She said.
"We'll keep in touch, don't worry. Who knows, maybe I can even pay you and ol Mike a visit."
Zoey nodded. "You're an amazing brother, you know that?"
"Can't be an amazing brother without am amazing sister." I said to her smiling, tightening the hug.
It was now night time, and everyone else have gone to bed. But I'm still outside, laying an a lawn chair staring up at the night sky. In prison, you can never see the stars, so it's like a nice reminder to know that I'm a free man. I was so absorbed in my thoughts that I almost didn't notice someone sitting in the chair next to me.
"Hi Duncan." Lindsay greeted. "What are you doing out here?"
"Just staring up at the stars." I said. "It's a nice relaxing sight after a stressful season. What're you doing out here?"
"I saw you out here alone and wanted to keep you company."
"Just like the first night huh?"
"Mhm." We stayed quite for a while just staring up at the stars. It's peaceful.
"Lindsay?"
"Yes Duncan?"
"You were my first friend I made during the season. If not for you, I don't know what could have happened. You're just as big a part of stopping Mal as I was." I said to her.
"Awe thanks Duncan. We make a pretty good team don't we?"
"We sure do." I then felt something in my pocket. I reached in and pulled out Geoff's camera he let me borrow earlier. Then an idea came to me. "You know, this whole thing started with the two of us, so how about we end it with the two of us?" I said holding up the camera.
"Let's do it." Me and Lindsay stood next to each other with an arm around one other. I held the camera up with the starry sky in the background as I took the picture. It was perfect. We then went to our rooms and parted ways for the night. I'm now laying in my bed about to go to sleep.
"What an adventure." I said to myself before closing my eyes with a satisfied smile. I've finally done it. I have officially redeemed myself.
I woke up to the sun's morning rays shining in my face. Getting up, I start to adjust to my surroundings before noticing something. I'm not in my room at the Plaza. I'm in some bedroom. I get up and walked around before stopping in front of a mirror. I don't look like a teen anymore, I look thr same I did when I was 22, but different. I have a small beard, and no face piercings. I still have my trademark mohawk, but it's died black like the rest of my hair.
"What happened?" I asked myself. Regardless, I decided to walk out if the room and see where I am. Stepping out, I notice a stair case and went down it. I ended up in a kitchen, and saw a familiar face.
"Morning punk rock." It was Gwen. She looked older too. She wasn't as goth anymore, but was still the same beautiful Gwen I remember.
"Hey pasty." I said almost instinctively. I think I'm starting to get my memory. Not my memory from before this whole thing, but my new memory after it. Me and Gwen got back together and bought a house. Then the door bell rang. "I'll get it." I went to open the door and saw Scott and Courtney. Both looked older as well. Scott had a goatee, and Courtney's hair was a little bit longer.
"Hey you guys." I told them inviting them in.
"Hey Duncan." Courtney said hugging me before going in the kitchen to talk to Gwen.
"Hey Scott." I greeted.
"Hey Duncan." My memory of these two are returning as well. They both also bought a house near us. "I've got something to ask you." He pulled out a small box and opened it, revealing an engagement ring.
"Hey, if you're gonna propose to me at least buy me dinner or something." I remarked.
"Very funny. But it's for Courtney. I been thinking about it for a while, and I think I'm ready to pop the question. Do you think she'll say yes?"
"If she said yes to a shoelace ring, she'll definitely say yes to an actual ring." I told him. "Don't sweat it dude, I'm more than sure she'll say yes. You just gotta be confident."
"You're right. Thanks Duncan."
"Anytime dude." The smell of bacon then appeared.
"Gotta go, bacon's a calling." He said before dashing to the kitchen followed by the sounds of him stuffing his face and Courtney telling him he eats pig like a pig. I can't help but laugh. I reached into my pocket to look at my phone. When I turned it on, I saw my wallpaper. It was a picture of the entire Total Drama family, including Chris, Chef, and the Pahkitew cast. We were all posed infront of the island. Owen was holding up a sign that said 'Our family'. I smiled at this picture. Everyone is living their best life right now. And it's all because of that show. It's amazing to think that that terrible show was able to bring us all together. Without Total Drama, none of us would even know each other. Thank you Chris, for bringing our family together. There's a bright future ahead of myself, and I'm going to spend it with the people I love. My friends, my family.
"Duncan! Come on and get some breakfast before Scott eats it all!" I hear Gwen yell from the kitchen. Welp, gotta go. Looks like its breakfast time. This is Duncan signing off. Smell ya later!
And with that, Duncan's Redemption All Star Addition has finally come to an end. I started this story a year ago today on May 26th, 2022, and now we end it today on May 26th, 2023.
