p style="margin: 0px 0px 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: Verdana;"So there you have it: my take on the "Judgment" scene from emFire Emblem Awakening/em, if Morgan was there in place of Chrom, and its aftermath. I apologize for any similarities to other fanfics based on that kind of twist, and I also apologize for all the updates./p
p style="margin: 0px 0px 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: Verdana;"It was important to me that Lucina speak for herself, and for Morgan to find it in her heart to forgive her mother without being talked into doing so. While I thought it made sense for Robin to try and talk to Morgan after that argument, I also didn't want him to be the "fix button" and bail Lucina out of their daughter's wrath. With the small flashbacks, you could get a sense of why Morgan wound up not being able to reject Lucina's apology, and why she felt guilty about their argument. Thanks to all the love and comfort Luci gave her, Morg just loved her too much to turn her back on her./p
p style="margin: 0px 0px 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: Verdana;"I don't know if this take on Lucina may have come across to some as too "sentimental" when she and Robin first met Morgan, but the way I looked at it, the older time traveler saw the arrival of a daughter from the future as not only being a welcome surprise, but a possible sign that the Shepherds were making a difference. Ultimately, my characterization for her was as if she had some latent motherly qualities thanks to Sumia trying to keep her and Cynthia safe for a large part of their childhood. Plus, in FEA Luci emcan/em say she wants to spoil Morgan silly if they're on an event tile, or activate a random conversation event in the barracks./p
p style="margin: 0px 0px 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: Verdana;"I was on the fence with Robin telling Lucina and Morgan about the gemstones. In the end, I reasoned to myself why he would possibly do that, in addition to feeling bad because he didn't count on all that business happening with the two ladies. For Lucina, it was to reassure her he would not kill Chrom (even though he would still err on the side of caution later, telling Chrom confidentially to kill him if things go south). In Morgan's case, because he told Lucina, he did not want their daughter to explode at her (again) and him if he held out on telling her./p
