Hey! I'm back with the next chapter of Rampage. I really liked my first chapter and was relieved to see it be so well-received by my readers as well. I was worried people would think I was overdramatizing his skill and the effects it would have on him, but people did understand why I was emphasizing his skill and its effect on his relationships.

Freya will actually fall into a role similar to that of a more nurturing one for Bell. She wants to see him succeed, not because she is in love with him, but because she is fascinated by him and her Syr side has grown to genuinely like having him as her friend-even if she has become disenchanted about her love for him due to the dark spot on his soul. So, she will still provide him with help, but that help will be for different reasons and she won't HAVE to go to the same lengths to get Bell to become stronger. Bell's growth rate and rate of encountering disasters are both going to be higher than in cannon (scary thought) so she will have no reason to as he is getting stronger quicker.

THANK YOU! I feel vindicated after seeing the reviews agreeing with my views on the Juggernaut's horror being toned down too much in the anime. I feel like it's because if they went through too much more gore and violence in the Juggernaut parts they would have to restrict its viewership away from certain groups of people and they wanted to avoid that, so its understandable but still very annoying they turned down the horror elements the Juggernaut had.

You are correct that this will draw Bell and Aiz closer together, as they will both end up teaching each other how to better balance their skills and emotions. Aiz will learn to not give so much to her Avenger skill, while Bell will learn that it's okay to sometimes give into it and that it can be useful to him. The reason I have the 3 of them together as a trio is also because Ryuu would work well for this relationship, as she learns to accept that just because her actions came from a darker impulse that she gave into, doesn't mean the actions were wrong. The 3 of them will help each other and that will make a world of difference. I feel like Ryuu got done dirty in the latest LNs, as despite having a spot light, she got turned into some sort of Deus Ex Machina and she didn't deserve that.

But, Ryuu and Aiz will both have changes occur that will affect the main canon of the story, as Aiz will actually be more willing to listen to Bell about the Xenos as she will better know him and his view on monsters, meaning she will be more hesitant about just striking him down as she understands he wouldn't just side with them for no reason. Ryuu will actually join the Hestia Familia after coming to terms with the loss of her old Familia and meeting with Astraea one more time and learning the truth about why Astraea left and seemingly turned her away- a much needed conversation for them both to gain closure.

Hestia Familia will also grow with more members. For starts, I am putting in the characters that should have always become members but were excluded for stupid reasons: Aisha, Daphne, and Cassandra. They were so perfectly set up to become members for them to then be put into other Familias felt almost like a cop-out, especially as the feel like members of the Familia with how present they are in the story. They have been present and assisting Hestia in every arc of the story since their introduction, so I'm simply taking that next step and making them members after they join up.

Chapter 2: The First Rampage

Bell walked into the dungeon on hesitant legs. He had thought he had gotten over the majority of his hesitation about going into the dungeon when he rushed into the dungeon after being insulted by Bete and realizing he needed to grow stronger to ever achieve any of his goals.

But the news that Hestia had given him changed his outlook. He was more worried about the effects of his skill and how he would have to keep it in check. He would have to take it slow and steady moving down the floors, and as he promised Hestia, no going for more than 6 hours or going further than floor 6, so that meant he would lose a good bit of time, but if it let him keep his sanity-he was all for it.

While he was reflecting on his conversation with his goddess, Bell realized something: he was a lot more of a mess than he thought he was. He thought that he had successfully pushed through the sheer loneliness and despair that came from losing his last remaining relative when his grandfather passed and from being rejected by so many people when he came to Orario, but he wasn't. All that he had done was bottle everything up to the point where it finally overflowed and created a rampage through the dungeon that was enough to give him a skill that would negatively impact him for the rest of his life. How the hell was he such an idiot?

While Bell was inwardly cursing himself, he finished the trek from the entrance of the dungeon down onto the first floor.

"Okay," Bell mumbled to himself, "I only have 6 hours in here, so my best bet to progress the fastest and make the most valis is to rush my way to around floor 3 or 4 today. I don't want to push too far on the first day and have the goddess scream at me again, after all." He let out a little self-depreciating chuckle, he knew he would be breaking the goddess' rule eventually, but he didn't want to do it so soon after Hestia had gone through so much trouble for him.

Bell made his way through the first 3 levels with ease, sticking on the established path that adventurers went through and only encountering singular monsters at a time. But even that was enough to get his heart pumping. After each monster encounter, he had to stop to take a breath and calm himself down enough for the next monster not to trigger his rampage ability, as he wasn't sure the amount that he had to face to trigger it.

Once Bell was down to the 4th floor it was a different story. The established path veered off to the side, which meant that the majority of adventurers were staying on level 4 and grinding and that no large party had come through the dungeon to go deeper.

The way the dungeon worked is that the established path wasn't an actual thing, it was just a trail where monsters had been slain by adventurers who had gone through prior to the most recent person, and the established trail varied day by day. Some days when there were big expeditions or a lot of adventurers going to the middle floors, the established path led all the way down to floor 10, where it was then erased due to the massive increase in monster spawn rates past that floor, enough so that there was never a path past the floor. Other days, like today, there were more people branching out in the first 4 floors and that meant that the gods were sending out new adventurers and testing how they performed in the dungeon. On these days, experienced adventurers were either already deep in the dungeon or training in their Familia homes to get better.

Today was the day that less experienced and novice adventurers experienced the dungeon for their first time and got a feel for the lifestyle, deciding whether they wanted to stay in the life or not.

The gods phrased it as giving their new children a chance at their dreams, but the reality was the gods were testing the new adventurers to see if they were cut out for the lifestyle and if they were capable of providing enough entertainment for them. It was a sick show for the heavens, seeing new adventurers quit or prevail.

But, because today was a day for novice adventurers, that meant the path to floor 5 was almost to the brim with monsters, which meant if Bell went any further, he would have to risk the rampage activating.

Bell did some math in his head, he had 1000 valis leftover from his prior dungeon runs, having done a few weeks' worth prior and gaining a little bit of valis each day. However, because of how poor his Familia was, his entire valis production was going towards getting them enough food and clothing for them to survive as well as the guild tax for living in the city that was paid monthly. Because Hestia had a full-time job at the Jagamaru stand, they were able to stay afloat between the meager production of valis her job provided and his meager production of valis from staying on the first 4 floors and getting very minimal magic stones and almost no drops.

His first trip to floor 5 had been a disaster, but for him to stay alive for the next 3 days and make a profit worth going into the dungeon for, he had to progress further. Bell took a deep breath to center himself and try and focus only on the positive events in his life, as his goddess had recommended before he left for the dungeon.

Bell took his first step off the established path and onto the path to the 5th floor. Immediately, a goblin jumped out at him, their survival instincts having told them to stay off the established path for the day and to only attack people that left the path. Bell immediately used his knife to cut down the goblin with ease.

"Holy," Bell breathed, any rage that might have been gained towards a rampage extinguished by the sheer shock of how easily he took down the goblin. Was this the difference of almost 100 status in agility and strength? The last time he was in the dungeon, he had to be wary of the goblins and keep his focus on the fight, but this time, the goblin went down in a single slash.

Another goblin came up behind the first and before long, Bell was surrounded by 10 goblins, Bell felt an intense ire towards the goblins. Did they seriously think he would fall to 10 mere goblins? Did they seriously have the gall to try and entrap him after he had so easily killed one of their own?

Bell couldn't see his back where the falna was, but it was glowing with a rusty red color, almost like the color of blood. It was a light glow, but it was visible through the thin shirt he had been wearing, especially with how sweaty he already was from speed-walking all the way down to the 4th floor.

Bell brought his 2nd knife out and lunged for the goblin in front of him, simultaneously striking both the goblin in his very front and towards his right. He stabbed right into the one in front of him while slitting the throat of the goblin to his right, instantly finishing both of them off. The other 8 goblins lunged towards Bell, but he abandoned his knife he had in his left hand, leaving it inside the dying goblin, while turning around at break-neck speeds. He slit the throat of the goblin closest to his left with his right hand as he turned, his other hand grabbing the club one goblin was using and swinging the goblin from the club, knocking all of the other goblins away with the force. The goblin that Bell stole the club from laid on the ground in front of him, not prepared in the least for the loss of balance from Bell stealing his weapon. Bell grabbed the club and swung it down with all his might, splattering the blood and brain matter across the dungeon floor and over himself. The other 6 goblins recovered from being thrown away from Bell, and Bell lunged forwards, throwing himself into the fray once again.

Bell tossed the club from his hand and smashed another goblin in the head with it, breaking it wide open from the force of the throw. The other 5 goblins started trying to run, seeing their hunting party be decimated by the rampaging Bell. But Bell did not stop, he did not let them disengage. They had been the ones to pick the fight with him, and now that they were losing, they tried to leave? Unacceptable! Take their loss with pride and accept their deaths!

Bell leapt off the ground and smashed a goblin into the ground under his body, gripping his knife with both hands and driving it down deep into the smashed goblin's body, instantly vanquishing it. With the other 4 goblins not focused on him at all, they missed the window to strike him and Bell rushed after them, cutting them down with quick brutality one after the other, not an ounce of mercy or hesitation.

Once the goblins had all been decimated by Bell, he started to calm down. Bell gasped for air, feeling the loss of stamina all at once, he had never taken down a group of monsters before, typically only killing the stragglers to try and grow his status without putting himself in danger as Eina had suggested to him. But, today, he had no hesitation, he fought like a more experienced adventurer, no need to use a fighting style or give them any sort of dignity, just destroy his opponent by any means necessary.

But, as Bell came down, he looked down at himself, covered in the blood and guts of the goblins he had smashed apart, he winced. This was exactly what Hestia had warned him about, that his skill would take control of him and make him more reckless than he already was. What was he thinking challenging a group of monsters like that all of a sudden? Where had the thoughts about pride and challenge coming from? He didn't think like that, deep down…did he? As Bell gathered his magic stones, he thought over his actions taken during the fight. He had been so reckless that he provided an opening for the goblins to kill him if they had actually been focused on the fight instead of running away. When he lunged for the goblin and focused only on killing it, he left himself completely open to being attacked by another monster, if they had taken the opening, there is no telling if he would have survived the fight.

As Bell reflected on the encounter with the monsters and collected his magic stones that the monsters had dropped, he noticed something on the ground: a couple of the goblins had dropped some items: goblin bones to be specific. These items were used by blacksmiths throughout the world for lower-level weapons for low class adventurers, specifically war hammers, pommels, gauntlets, and spears. Having two of them was great as it would net him a good bit of valis more than just the magic stones.

As Bell finished collecting the magic stones and drops, he failed to notice that he had attracted a crowd of newbie adventurers who had watched his display in shock. Some of them were completely new with it being the first battle they had seen in the dungeon, while others were just in shock by the sheer brutality of the encounter- seeing a young boy fight like that.

"I better go, I'm nearing my limit," Bell muttered as he realized that his six hours would almost be up and he didn't want to trigger the rampage skill again today. By the time he got back to the entrance of the dungeon, 6 hours would surely pass. Bell took the magic stones he collected, managing to get about 23 in total for the day, as well as the 2 goblin bones and placed them in a small backpack he had brought for the sole purpose of keeping his items in.

The crowd would disperse shortly as Bell walked away without noticing them, just happy with the haul he had gotten for the day. While Bell did not realize he had attracted a crowd, they would surely remember that encounter forever-spreading word of it and creating the start of a new legend. The legend of the berserker bunny was one that was just getting started.

More importantly, the encounter stood out to two people who were in the dungeon for different reasons. One was a blonde-haired woman with sharp blue eyes that had watched the encounter with a tilt in her head. 'Is he like me?' She thought curiously, feeling a sense of familiarity from this adventurer and deciding to follow him to have a conversation with him about his skill.

The other adventurer who had watched the fight was a blacksmith with red spiky hair. His eyes zoomed in on the two goblin bones that Bell had collected and he let out a smirk. 'A new adventurer, huh. And one with skills like that and luck like that, wonder if he has a smith yet,' The red-haired man smirked as he decided to follow Bell to the item exchange, neither him nor the blonde-haired woman realizing they were both following the same person.

The encounter between the 3 at the guild was one that would shape the future of Orario for better or worse.

Done! I am sorry this chapter is so short, but I felt like the end of Bell's first rampage was a great place to leave off and having the 3 conversations that are going to happen and shape this story would be better off in the next chapter.

For reference, these are the 3 conversations I am referring to:

Hestia, Freya, and Loki

Bell, Aiz, and Welf

Hestia and Hephaestus

These 3 conversations will all be taking place next chapter, as will an explanation as to why Aiz was in the dungeon when mostly new adventurers were in the dungeon that day. Also, the part about the gods was not something Bell knows about, but it is the reason for the event, and I figured it would be better to have it in for readers to understand why the gods had days when just new adventurers go in the dungeon.

To be fair, that is not all of the gods reasoning, but, a lot of gods only take on a Familia to stave off boredom and get some excitement in their lives, as anytime they update the Falna, they view all the events of the person's life from the last update point onwards- creating a personal reality TV show for themselves. The next fic to be updated is a reaction fic, it will continue on where the first chapter ended with the different characters all discussing the fact that their protagonists were Isekai'ed.

Please let me know what you thought of the chapter!

Sorry it was so short once again, but I felt that ending it naturally if a bit early was better than forcing an ending later and screwing up the pacing of the chapter.
