I followed after Wanderer, she stopped long enough to look over her shoulder like she was being followed. She stopped and looked at me, I could see the questions in her eyes.

"You are leaving, are you not?" I question as Kagome's suspicions were making themselves known.

"Something tells me that Mel's still there as well," Kagome states, as she was filling my mind with ideas of finding someone very dear to her. Lately, her barrier against me had weakened, and I learned about Shippo, Inuyasha, Souten, and Kagome's younger brother Sota. They all seemed to be like my friends as well, I needed to see them, to see if they were safe.

"Yes." Wanderer answers

I bit my lip as I blurted out what I had wanted to know since Wanderer and I arrived and were inserted into these bodies. "Wanderer, is your Host still there alive inside your mind?"

Wandener's eyes widen in surprise, as she thought over my question.

"I thought as much." I remarked, "I want to join your escape, even though I can't stand that seeker."

After a few days, we made our way through the desert, with Kagome's Japanese heritage the sun's heat wasn't nearly as frying as it was towards Wandener's white skin. We each had cases of water, we were trying to save them but by the end of the fourth day, it was no use.

'Shadow, you made my body weak.' Kagome grumbled. As I trekked through the Arizona desert, Wanderer and I finally lost the last of our energy near a brittle tree, we each fell laying down.

Was this how I was going to die, without seeing Inuyasha?

I thought I felt cool water being poured into my dry mouth, opening my eyes, I tried to focus as an image of a dog-eared man appeared in my vision.

The man growled as he saw the visible sign of my inhabitation of Kagome's body.

I heard Wandener's voice croak out "Jeb" and Where's Jamie and Jared. But I wisely kept my mouth shut. As I knew that they didn't realize that Kagome and Melody were still very much present in our minds.

Kagome watched what was happening and the man with the machete was making the hair on the back of my head stand up, he was threatening us.

Inuyasha growled "Come near her and see what happens." he stood protectively in front of me or us.

Jeb had the final say and both Wandener and I were blindfolded and led away.

I could tell that the demons of the group were wary of me, but I kept my head down and just let them take me wherever.

Once we were finished, the blindfold was taken off and we were in an underground cave. I stood to the side as Wandener step closer to Jared unable to help herself. The man backhanded Wandener.

Inuyasha looked at him. Before shaking his head.

Wanderer and I were separated, we were kept away from all the other humans. But the one person that I needed to see wasn't among the group. Sota. Where was my...I mean Kagome's little brother?

Inuyasha stood away from me.

I stared at the wall in the room where I was put. he was guarding me along with Shippo. They each took turns.

"I'm sorry" I whispered as I glanced at Inuyasha, his ears twitched as he heard me. "I understand if you hated me, but i didn't choose my Host, I just requested a female."

Inuyasha turned to me and stared at me.

"You wouldn't believe me, but Kagome's consciousness is very much still alive." I admit.
