Well we have come to the end. It has definetly been one heck of a journey and I will say that I'm happy I got back to this and am ending it instead of just letting it be. I don't think this chapter will be very long but, I felt the conclusion deserved to be it's own separate one. Thank you all for staying on board if you did.

[1st Person POV: Garret (Because I gotta end this through his eyes. Wouldn't be right if I didn't)]

It was hours before the others Guardians made it to our secluded location. As they landed I saw that everyone was well but tired and worried. They took turns hugging us, asking what had happened, where Autumn was and more. It was as we started answering that the glow from below in the valley grew stronger and glowed brightly. Soon there was a silent boom and it vanished. Adelia and I dropped everything and raced over to the edge. Both of us watched as Kuroi was…looking strange and crying while a tired Autumn flew up to where we all are.

We backed up to give our friend room as he landed. Right when his feet touched the ground Hilaria bulldozed through everyone and threw her arms tightly around our friend, crying into his shoulder and scolding him for scaring her so terribly. She said it was the worst prank ever and pulled away to flick his nose. Autumn took it all in stride though and gave the group a smile.

"What happened down there mate? Are you okay?" Bunnymund asked as North began eyeing the Guardian with worry.

"Half of a miracle happened and while I am the definition of tired I still need to finish my work. But I need all of you to help me. And Garret, I need you to put all you've got into helping Kuroi. He needs to remember what it is to live…to remember all that he still has. All this time he's been mourning and unable to ask for help to move on, to stop grieving every death he's felt. I know that he has been nothing but pain for us but we never saw his pain. We need to let him know he's not alone. Please…all of you." Autumn explained to us, eyes bright and hopeful.

Silence ruled for an impossibly long moment before the small golden man stepped forward from the crowd and smiled up at the new Guardian of Life. One by one all the other Guardians followed until I was the only one left. With a shaky breath I looked up at them. They stared expectantly, all waiting for me to join.

"Hey, A/C Killer, you we can't do it without you." Jack said with a grin.

"We're all here with you, and because of all you've done." Tooth chimed in.

"And we will still be here when it is all done. The belly knows." North added.

"So whaddaya say mate? Let's go get grandpa back. Our family won't be complete without the old fart." Bunnymund joked.

"Family? Is that what we are?" I asked in bewilderment. So much had happened and passed but that had never occurred to me.

Stepping forward Eros and M.N. stepped forward and smiled at me. Eros then asked, "Of course. What else would we be?"

Smiling and nodding I wiped away a sneaky tear and replied, "You're right. Let's do this."

Together all of us went down with haste as Autumn explained how this was going to work. Through him and I the rest of them were going to channel all of theirs powers through to Kuroi while we literally were going to breathe life back into his mind body and soul. It was dangerous to say the least and could backfire and explode on us. However, it was the only way to fully save and help Kuroi…or Nox I guess. That's what Autumn calls him.

When we reached the bottom of the valley Ku…Nox was still huddled on the ground crying and asking why. He didn't notice us or the darkness as it pooled around him restlessly. Honestly, as much as he hurt all of us, it was painful to see him like this. He was so lost and broken, crying to the sky and begging for help. While everyone got into position I took a few steps closer and prepared myself. Autumn came up next to me and looked at the fallen Guardian.

"Nervous?" Autumn asked.

"Only a little. I just want to help now that I've seen him." I answered.

"I'm glad. Don't worry bud, we'll make it through this…all of us."

That said we heard the okay from the others that they were ready. So together Autumn and I waded through the hissing shadows and lift Nox up with us. He could barely see and kept begging for forgiveness and to see his family. Together we pretty much carried him to the center of the circle of Guardians, kneeling down carefully and each of us holding one of his hands. The others came in closer, closing us off from the encroaching darkness, and put their hands on our backs and shoulders. Next there came light, so bright I thought I'd go blind. After that, I remember screaming and watching as the shadows were at last fully pulled from Nox once and for all. There was pain but gosh I was so happy to see him saved that I forgot about it. He opened his actual eyes to look at us all, the light, and himself. And as his bright, peaceful eyes opened I felt mine close.

Sometime later, not sure how much later, I heard the distant echoes of voices. They were all warm and inviting, beckoning me back to the world. And just like it was 300 years ago the sun was rising and it was so beautiful and comforting. I felt safe and knew I had finally found my purpose, my core…my family. After spending so long alone and in the dark, lost and afraid to love or ask for help, all of us had found it. My name is Garret Sun and I am the Guardian of Summer and Families including the one I waited centuries to have.

There we have it. The end of what I can only hope is a good adventure. Thank you all and I hope you enjoyed it.
