Chapter 26: Definitely a Traitor

"What did you two do?" Ginny asked as she sat with her brother and best friend.

"Hermione is the one who pushed us away." Ron said.

Ginny rubbed her forehead. "Why can't you just be happy for her? She appears to be happy."

"I would be happy if she was with anyone else instead of Malfoy." Ron said.

Harry watched Hermione at the Slytherin table. She was laughing and playing cards with Draco and his friends. He ignored Ginny arguing with Ron about the whole thing.

Ginny was right, she was happy with Draco. She seemed to be getting along with the other Slytherins. Dumbledore and McGonagall were okay with it too. Harry, on the other hand, was with Ron on this one. He felt Hermione was going to be a follower of Voldemort if he didn't step in to break them up.

"We should break them up." Ron suggested as if he could read Harry's thoughts.

"Ron, I swear, if you try to break up Hermione and Malfoy, I will not only tell McGonagall but mum and dad too. And you know mum won't be too happy about that."

"Ron, let me talk to my mum and dad and see what they say. I need to talk to dad anyway about the last task." Harry said, getting up.

Ron shrugged. "Fine mate. If they don't do anything about it, I am going to break them up."

Harry just ignored his best as he headed out of the Great Hall. He headed to the Transfigurations classroom where McGonagall was preparing for a detention with a student.
