Chapter 27: Fear About Everything
"Oh hello Harry. What can I do for you?" McGonagall asked, smiling.
"I was wondering if dad was around so I could ask him about the last task. Moody hasn't been answering my questions."
"I think he may be in his office. There is still time for you to go talk to him before curfew. I can even have Snape escort you back to your dormitory. He's on watch tonight." McGonagall asked.
Harry nodded his head. He gave McGonagall a hug before heading to Dumbledore's office. He was thankful it was just him and the Headmaster.
"Harry, my boy, what can I do for you?" Dumbledore asked.
"I wanted to talk about the third task." Harry said.
"Harry, you know I can't say anything about it."
Harry looked down at his feet. His shoes were a little scuffed from where Malfoy pushed him to the ground. Hermione didn't do anything to stop it. She just looked away.
"I understand. I'm just really scared at what can happen." Harry said.
Dumbledore motioned for Harry to walk up to him. Harry did as told.
"My boy, you will do great. I know you will. So far you've been extraordinary. Just keep working with Alistar. He will help you get through this." Dumbledore said.
"What about Hermione, dad?"
Dumbledore tilted his head in confusion. "What about your sister? Is she okay?"
"I don't know, sir. I feel like Draco and the others may harm her. They could be manipulating her."
"I can assure you, they are not. I will not let that happen." A deep voice turned their attention to the entrance to the office. It was Snape.
"Severus…" Dumbledore started.
Snape held up a hand. "Minerva asked for me to escort Harry back to the common room."
"Ah. I didn't know how late it was." Dumbledore said.
Harry turned his attention to Dumbledore when he said his name. "Hermione came to Severus about letting her sit at the Slytherin table and hang out in the Slytherin common room. Now I don't know what you and Mister Weasley did, but you hurt your sister's feelings. So I suggest you fix it or I may have to talk to your mum about this. She won't be happy to know that two of her Gryffindors hurt her only daughter's feelings."
Harry nodded his head. "Yes sir. I am sorry sir."
Dumbledore smiled as he just patted Harry's hand.
