Once again, the last one was a big hit and I got a request to do another one. Honestly, you guys are just keeping me thinking here aren't you? NorthernMage suggested North reads Tooth/North.
Inviso-bella: Personally, I don't ship any characters (at least not in most fanfics) but if you're a Jackrabbit fan, that's totally cool. Everyone has their own opinions and no one has any right to judge.
Jack was fuming. 'Me and Bunny? And Pitch? What did I ever do, world? I thought I did well when I saved the children, why am I being punished in the worst possible way?'
It didn't matter how much Jack hung out with kids, she still got confused by the ones on the internet. Especially teenagers, which was most likely what most of the authors were. Teenagers to young adults. Not exactly Jack's area of expertise.
She sat at her lake, thinking. 'Oh I am going to kill North. Then again. And maybe one more time. Laughing at me when I was in a crisis.'
Before she could do any planning, a hole in the ground appeared beside her and Bunny hopped out. He looked absolutely furious. All he said were two words to explain. "Read fanfiction."
"You too, huh? Sorry, Bunny, but if you ever make a move, I'm gonna blast you so hard you'll be taking the fast way to Man in Moon."
"Ugh, don't even mention making a move."
Jack nodded and the both just sat there for a few moments. Then Jack spoke up. "North almost died of laughter when I told him. Jerk. Made no attempt to even look slightly sympathetic."
"Yeah, he did the same thing to me, Frostbite."
She jumped to her feet. "I think we ought to get back at him!"
In all the years Bunny had known Jack, he knew it was not a good idea to get on her bad side, which he usually was. She had an annoying habit of pranking people and freezing ears when she was getting back at someone. "What do you have in mind?"
At first, she thought. Just a normal prank wouldn't do it. No, now it got real personal. Something original, something that would make him wish he'd never even considered laughing. Then, almost by magic, the perfect idea came to her. She grinned mischievously. "Oh I think I know just the thing."
North was humming to himself and chuckling quietly. Oh, the past two days had probably been the funniest in his life, and that was saying something.
He had just gotten up to go grab some cookies when Jack and Bunny raced through the door, both grinning gleefully. Jack was holding a laptop. "North! You'll never guess what we found!" she yelled.
'Oh no.' He knew that laughing had caused him to get on Jack's bad side. He had seen some of the revenges she had done on Bunny. Whatever she "found" couldn't be good.
She held up the laptop. "There are stories about you as well! Isn't that wonderful?"
"Go on. Read some of them, North," Bunny grinned.
With a gulp, North looked down and started to read. He tried to look as calm as he could as he read some of them, seeing as how Jackie and Bunny were standing right there, but it was difficult. Him and Tooth. That's what they were showing him. There were stories about him and Tooth.
Bunny watched as North's eyes grew wide when he realized what the stories were about. 'That's right, ya gumby. We aren't the only ones that need to suffer.'
North's face was slightly pale when he stopped reading. As much as it pained Bunny to admit, Jackie was good. "Well?" he asked. "What did you think?"
"Did you like them? I thought they were adorable!" Jack added. "You and Tooth."
"Yes," North said, stroking his beard. "Me and Tooth. She is a remarkable woman."
Had Bunny been drinking anything, he would have spat it out. "Wait what?"
"Are actually considering it?" Jack asked in disbelief.
"Perhaps. I should talk to Tooth, see what she thinks. Maybe I could show her some of these." He looked up and waved to the pair, whose eyes were boggling out of their heads. "Well, thanks you two. It's been fun." He turned and walked out the door.
Once out of eye and ear shot, North snorted. Oh, the looks on their faces!
He thought back to the story of him and Tooth and shuddered. He and Toothiana had been friends for centuries. Never anything more, though. They were both kind of parental about Jack (which the young winter spirit always got annoyed by) but that was as far as it went. Never any romance between them.
All of the Guardians had seen Rise of the Guardians. Jack hated it, but everyone else was fairly impressed. It was kind of accurate. A bit off, but closer than most movies. But there had been no indication in the movie of him and Tooth together. Where did that come from.
North shook his head. Some people on the internet…
So? How's you all like this one? Good? Bad? Funny? You should just stop while you're behind? Hopefully not the last one, but you never know.
I've got my fingers crossed that this is the last one, but if someone gives an idea for the next one (and sorry, just saying "please make another one" probably won't count. Depends on how generous I feel) then I'll most likely write another one.
