Well. It appears that you guys want even more of this. Which makes me have to keep thinking but seeing as how it is summer and my brain gets lazy, that's probably not a bad thing. Plus the reviews I've gotten for this arc have made me laugh so hard, and I've never gotten this many suggestions before.
I'm going to do the invisible arc sometime soon, but I do readers suggestions first, then my own ideas. Unless I come up with a brilliant idea that must be written down immediately. This one was suggested by FlockPack. The idea made me laugh really hard so hopefully the actual story makes you all laugh even harder.
NorthernMage: Yeah, it's cool. I'll probably do that next.
Disclaimer: Haven't done one of these in a long while and I am broke and can't afford to be sued. Just in case you all forgot, I do not own Rise of the Guardians or any of its characters.
That was not supposed to happen. When Jack pranked someone, she never had it backfire. It pained her to say, but North played that well.
'Me getting outwitted? That won't do at all!' she thought. 'This is war, North.'
She considered asking Bunny for help, but quickly pushed that thought aside. After reading some of those fanfics, she wasn't too excited about being alone with Bunny.
'Sandy then,' she decided. Jack had known Sandy the longest out of any Guardian. He had been nice to her when none of the other Immortals would. Plus she knew he loved a good prank almost as much as she did.
Well, maybe not that much.
Jack flew around until she came to a town that had golden sand floating around. 'Three guesses who's here.'
"Sandy!" she called, waving at her friend. The little man turned and a smile lit up his face when he saw Jack coming towards him. He gave her a little wave.
"Hey, Sandy. How've you been?" Sandy gave two thumbs up and smiled. Jack grinned. "That's great! Listen, I need your help with something."
She explained the situation. About how Jamie had shown her fanfiction, how people were putting her and Bunny or her and Pitch together. Of how North found out, then Bunny, and how they tried to get back at North for laughing only it backfired on them.
Her friend looked like he was trying a really hard time not to laugh by the time her story was done. Jack glared at him. "Not helping! Speaking of which, will you help me or not?"
He thought for a moment before nodding. It had been far too long since he had played a good prank on anyone, and Jack was the master of pranks. He made a light bulb above his head, showing he had an idea. Jack leaned forward. "I'm listening."
Tooth was relaxing at last. Her night shift was over and no more teeth needed to be collected.
One of her fairies flew up to her and handed her an envelope. She squeaked that North had given it to her, then flew away, giggling silently to herself.
Curious, Tooth opened it and read the letter that was inside. It was an invitation from North. He wanted to meet her outside of Burgess. The letter said that he had a surprise for her.
That was odd, to say the least. This wasn't very North-like. But curiosity got the best of her and she got ready to meet him.
North was just waiting for the Pole to be frozen over. He knew Jackie was mad that her last prank hadn't worked, so he was fairly certain something bad was going to happen very soon.
Then Sandy flew in, frantically. His sand said that Jack had hurt herself near her pond and needed help. 'I'm sure.' *sigh* 'Might as well get this over with. If not now, then some other time.' He told Sandy he would just get the sleigh, all the while wondering what sort of prank the winter spirit had in mind. Maybe if he was lucky, he prank was just for him to rush in there expecting her to be hurt and look dumb. But he doubted it.
"Did he agree to come?" Jack asked. Sandy nodded. "Thought he might. Besides, if I'm pranking here than the Pole is safe. That thought probably appealed to him."
Jack and Sandy were hiding behind some bushes. In front of them was a clearing, the clearing they had told both Tooth and North to come to. There was a table with two chairs in the middle, with candles and wine glasses and food for the pair.
She couldn't wait to see their reactions.
North showed up first. He landed and looked at the table, confused. Then when he saw Tooth arrive, realization dawned on him. He took a deep breath and looked around slowly, his eyes hunting for the winter spirit.
Tooth landed and approached North. "Hey, I got your letter. What did you want to show me?"
"Uh…"
She gave him an odd look before spotting the table. Her eyes grew wide. "North, I…I'm sorry, we don't…I mean…"
He cut her off. His face was even more red than normal. "No, Tooth, this isn't what it looks like. I-"he stopped. "Jackie! Get out here!"
She winked at Sandy and crawled out of the bushes. As soon as she saw their faces up close, she burst out laughing.
Tooth looked between them. "What's going on?"
"I may have made our winter spirit angry earlier. Seems she thought of a lovely prank to get her revenge," North explained.
Jack shrugged. "Actually, Sandy came up with the idea."
North looked apologetically at Tooth. "I'm sorry about this." Then he turned to Jack. "Jacklyn Frost when I get my hand on you…"
"And that's my cue!" Jack yelled. She summoned the Wind and took off at top speed.
