I should be cleaning today. But honestly sitting and writing while listening to metal lofi just feels like a better use of my time. So here we are.

-Story Start-

David leaned forward on his arms as he enjoyed the heat of the sun on his shoulders. It was rare for the group to find themselves outside before noon, usually laid up on some piece of furniture in the house. Well one of the girls would be at least, he did pride himself on being an attentive boyfriend after all. Today found them on a pier in Heywood. Teenagers and couples seemed to be out and about in force today. David turned around to just people watch while next to him Lucy gazed out quietly across the water and out into the bay. Not far away Rebecca was grabbing food for the three of them.

"You know, it's to bad we're not big on boats. Almost wouldn't mind just sailing off into the sunset one day." Lucy for once wasn't smoking, deciding to cut back on the sticks.

David himself considered that, "That could be fun. We probably have more than enough money for a decent boat. We could sail out and travel the world."

"Yeah, it might be nice. Maybe find a quiet island somewhere. Do nothing but relax day in and day out, screw each other's brains out."

David snorted, "Yeah, how long do you think the other one would last?" They both turned to look at the bouncy Rebecca skipping her way back to them.

"I'd give her a week, maybe two tops."

"I'd give it a day max."

"Give what a day?" Offering a pair of generously topped hot dogs to the pair with one hand, she was chomping down on another.

David accepted his with glee, "How long you'd last on a ship out at sea."

"Oh screw that, I'm not setting foot on some smelly water coffin. Nope, happy and safe on land thank you very much."

Lucy just started at the girl and blinked, "Are you….scared of the water?"

Rebecca huffed, finishing her hot dog before spinning and leaning against the rail next to David. "I'm not scared, but I sure as hell respect the ocean. It is out there and I am back here. Those two worlds don't need to cross at all."

Lucy couldn't wrap her mind around the fact that her friend was apparently scared of the ocean. Woman could gun down Maelstrom borgs or Animals three times her size. But the ocean freaked her out? "It's water, what's to be scared of?"

"Have you seen some of the shit they used to pull out of the water? There's some scary big shit down there and I have no reason to disturb it."

David chuckled and tuned the girls out as his phone started to ring. Blinking and watching the caller id scroll over his vision, he wondered what V could need now. "Yo V, what's up?"

'Hey uh, just a heads up, got a lead on something. Gonna be in Pacifica for a few days maybe. Not sure if I'll need ya but I'll call if I do.' V sounded upbeat at least.

David nodded, "Gotcha, be safe man, Pacifica is just about always a shit show."

'Yeah man I know. I'll hit ya later.'

"Nova." Hearing the call end, David turned to see Lucy and Rebecca watching him. "Just V, has a new lead out in Pacifica."

Rebecca frowned as she finished off her food, "Ew what could he possibly find in that hell hole?"

Lucy thought about that, there was one group out there that might have something. "There's that voodoo group, what was their name again?"

David grinned, "The Voodoo Boys?"

"Oh yeah, kinda, in the name huh?" Seeing the taller man still smirking at her, Lucy slapped his arm and turned away while she considered the possibilities. The Voodoo Boys kept to themselves pretty much exclusively. What would they want with some random merc?

David turned his view to the city skyline, idly watching AVs and service bots crisscross the sky. "We should probably pick up some jobs ourselves before we start dipping into our savings."

Rebecca balledup her wrapper and tossed it over her shoulder, "What for, we haven't been doing anything besides eating, drinking, or fucking."

David looked down at the shortstack, "Someone has a weapon fetish."

Pausing to think and then pausing some more to run the numbers, Rebecca had at least some decency and turned away with a light blush. "I'm not that bad."

Lucy leaned around so she could see the other woman, "We had to talk you out of a gold plated Defender light machine gun."

"It was badass, I thought David would like it."

David chimed in now, "And the armor piercing explosive ammo for your crusher?"

"Everything is better when it can make things explode."

Lucy sighed, "Maybe you should take her home and bang some sense into her."

David was already grinning, picking up the shorter girl and putting her over his shoulder, "I'm not opposed to that."

Rebecca was laughing as they started walking back towards the car, "Wait wait, I'm not that bad!" Feeling a hand smack her rear while some people started to watch, the girl flushed, "Hey!"

"You're that bad Becca." They'd go back out later, but right now David felt like seeing if he could in fact, knock some sense into her. Next to him Lucy was scrolling through her contact list, coming upon Wakako. Making a call, she waited for the older woman to answer.

"Ahh, Lucy dear, how have you been."

"I've been well auntie, how's life treating you?"

"Oh you know, I have not been blessed with a new husband yet, but business is good. Shall I assume you are free for work?"

"Yeah, we've got some free time for a few days, figured I'd hit you up first."

"You're always such a dear. How do you feel about poking at the Tyger Claws a bit?"

Lucy developed a rather nasty grin, "Oh those shit heads? I'm so game."

"Good, I have three jobs that need to be completed. One is much more urgent that the others. I'll transfer you the info now."

"Sure thing, till later." Call dropping, Lucy accepted the data from the fixer. Whistling Lucy turned to the others as they reached the car, "Wanna fuck or wanna blow up some Tyger assholes?"

Rebeccca sighed, "No both option?"

Lucy scrolled through the missions and shrugged, "At least one of these you might be able to, it's more of a solo thing."

David was in the front seat while Lucy sat in the back and Rebecca slid into shotgun. "Well let's hear it and make some decisions." He started the car while ignoring Rebecca poking at his side.

"First one is a rescue job. Some gonk on Tyger's payroll got nabbed and landed in prison. They want him to ice some guys and they're using his wife to make sure he performs. Job is to nab her to send her off to a safe house."

David thought about that one, "She'll probably be safe for a while, but that sounds like something we'll want to get at first."

Lucy nodded, "Next we have a direct job against the Tyger Claw boss himself, Taki Kazo. Wakako wants us to sneak into the Shinto shrine he's been using for secret meetings and install a listening bug for her. Seems more my thing, probably in and out within a few minutes."

Rebecca sighed, "Sounds like a snore fest."

David leaned over, "We can entertain ourselves while we wait."

"Sold."

Lucy giggled and shook her head, "Last we have some casino dealer who used to work for the Tygers. Apparently she had been skimming the books and got caught. She hid the credchip she stored all of her money on and apparently they killed her before they could find out where she put the money. Job's to find the chip and drop it for pick up."

"To bad we can't just nab it ourselves." Rebecca had moved on from poking the big man to running her hand up and down his thigh. She would not be denied!

Lucy refuted that in a hurry, "Really wanna cheat Wakako out of some money? Bad idea. Buuuut nothing said we can't install our own little skimmer while we're there and continue the good dealer's work."

David looked over his shoulder at the woman while he swatted at Rebecca's hands, "Think you could do it?"

"Oh absolutely. I think this one is for myself and Rebecca. Everyone knows you to well."

"Like they don't know Rebecca?"

"The Claws don't, and that's all we need."

David nodded as he reversed out of their parking space and moved to pull out into traffic, "Well I'm never a fan of Tyger Claws, so I'm down for a day of beating the shit out of them. The woman comes first. Then we can hit the other two in order of whichever is closest to us."

Rebecca mentally wondered if they had enough weapons with them. "Think we should head back to the house for weapons?"

"Don't we always have something in the car?" David brought up while Lucy transferred him nav data for the missing wife's location.

Lucy however was already pulling down half of the rear seat and exposing the trunk. Looking in she nodded, "Couple of lexingtons, Becca's carnage and crusher, oooh a G-58 and a TKI-20. And a masamune."

David nodded, "So enough for assaulting pretty much everything short of a MaxTac squad." Turning and heading towards Japantown, he accelerated away, "Looks like we're headed for Raymond st. Know anything about the area?"

Lucy shrugged, "Besides it's Tyger turf, not much. Looks like warehouse district though, so they're probably hiding, so I wouldn't expect reinforcements just in case we aren't, stealthy." Both of the taller members of the car looked at Rebecca.

"I can do stealthy, it's David!"

"You can do stealthy? When? We've never seen you do stealthy."

Lucy sighed, "I'll jam comms and camera's as soon as we're on sight. But I suggest trying to keep it quiet at least. This is in the middle of the city." Hearing both of her lovers agree, she leaned back and tried to enjoy the ride. The car descended into silence as Rebecca shimmied her way into the back seat and into the trunk. Handing out weapons to the others, she was back out and checking ammo and weapon status while Lucy gave the lexington in her hand a dirty look. "What do I need this for?"

Rebecca loaded her crusher and started filling a spare magazine for it, "Just cause you're an uber great techhead doesn't mean someone can't get the drop on you. Better to have something than nothing."

David nodded, "It's just insurance is all. Think of it as Becca's way of loving you."

"Hush, I like my way better. Less mushy."

"You do mushy just fine."

"I have something that likes getting mushy." Cackling as she got a groan out of David, Rebecca went back to her work.

Lucy herself decided that she would listen, finding a holster and attaching it and then her new weapon to her right thigh. She guessed that if she ever got into a situation she couldn't hack someone she'd probably appreciate this.

It wasn't long before they were weaving their way through Japantown and parking half a block around the corner from the location of their mark. Exiting the car with their weapons and locking it, putting it in standbye mode just in case, David and the girls walked around the high walled workshop.

"Any ideas?"

Passing the locked gate on the street, they all saw the broken section of wall and looked at each other. Saying nothing they made sure the Tygers weren't watched and dove through it. Within moments there were on the property and Lucy was scanning the shop's internal network.

Both David and Rebecca waited for Lucy's go ahead. It was another minute before Lucy gave a thumbs up, "Cameras are locked on a loop and their comms are jammed. I've pinged half a dozen guys up top and 3 more in the basement."

David began to grin, "Easy work." He and Rebecca shared a fist bump and they stood to walk around the back of the warehouse.

Lucy sighed, "So, no stealth? Just going to zero everyone and carry the girl out?"

Rebecca nodded, "Simple and efficient."

Queing up several quick hacks Lucy pushed ahead as they rounded a corner. "Fine, but let me make it at least a little easier." Walking past trash and a full dumpster with the high dividing wall within arms reach, she edged her way out so she could see the main yard. Several broken cars greeted her, one man was closer to them and looking away, while two more were further out and talking to each other. Thankfully facing the street. The workshop main door was closed which was perfect as far as she was concerned. "I can disable the far guys."

Davd started forward, "Then I got this goon." He didn't need to watch as Lucy unleashed hell on the jabbering Tygers further away. Torching their brains and flat lining them within seconds. The Tyger he was aiming for looked at his comrades in confusion, which left him open for David to reach forward and grab the guy's head, twisting it harshly with a sickening crack. Dropping the gonk, David turned back to the girls, "See. Stealthy."

Rolling their eyes, the girls took the lead as they came up to a side door. Lucy opened it slowly, noticing no one was on the work floor. Pushing inside, they were met with an empty space but they could hear a tv from the employee break room. That door was open but no one was coming, yet. Pinging them again, Lucy nodded that all three of their missing Claws were inside. "Should we head straight down?"

David nodded, "Yeah, we'll clean them up once we know the target is safe."

"It's Lauren, she'll probably appreciate her name more than target."

"Yeah yeah, you're right." All three circling around past heavy storage racks and a vehicle lift. They moved through the dark space and found stairs leading down into the basement. Treading slowly, Lucy led them while she scanned everything ahead of them.

"Here's our three. I can zero one but the other two have some good wetware."

Rebecca grinned, "Mark em." Her vision changing, they looking down over the cluttered space at three men all working at something on a table facing away from them. The men on the left and the right were highlighted, "I'll take the one on the left." Whispering she brought up her shotgun.

David nodded, putting his assault rifle to his shoulder and taking aim at the other man's head, "Ready."

Lucy pulled up her hack and counted down, "Now." Setting it loose, she covered her ears as both guns went off with single center man went down with a gurgle, cyber brain frying and sending his body into convulsions. The man on the left wasn't so much shot as the space his chest used to be just ceased to be. The man on the right fell quietly, a single shot to the back of the head doing him in. Everyone satisfied things went as planned, they began searching. Rebecca kicked around the work area looking through crates. David found a door leading to what looked like another office. Finding first a bathroom and then to his left a computer terminal and another door.

"Hey Lucy." Said woman was by his side in a moment, "Think you can get anything off this terminal?"

"Don't even have to ask, I'll skim it." Sitting down at the computer David tried the door. Locked of course but he didn't still have some impressive chrome for nothing. Pulling, the door slid into the wall with a shriek of abused metal. Patting himself on the back he was met with a dirty storage room. Inside was another small storage rack, a mattress on the floor, and the woman they were looking for.

"You must be Lauren Costigan."

Coughing the woman frowned, "That'd be me. Who are you?" Missing her shoes but at least she still had her clothes, the woman was just done with the bullshit it seemed.

"We're just concerned mercs tasked with finding you by your very worried husband. C'mon, time to go."

"That bastard. I wouldn't be here if not for him." Trying to stand, her legs gave out, "Sorry, it's…"

David slung his weapon over his shoulder by it's strap and walked forward to pick the woman up in his arms, "Don't sweat it. We'll get you out of here." Standing and easily managing her weight, he left the storage room in a hurry. "I got her, we good to go?"

Lucy looked up at the tired looking woman in David's arm, "Yeah, all done here, let's bounce." 'Rebecca time to roll, wanna unleash some carnage?'

'I thought you'd never ask!'

Both David and Lucy waited for a moment as Rebecca's running footsteps echoed up the stairs. Waitng for a few seconds, they started up after her, Lucy now holding her gun out while David had his arms full. They ignored the sudden commotion of a shotgun firing on full auto. As they reached the top of the stairs and reached the back door, they looked back towards the employee area to see the one way window broken and bloody, a grinning Rebecca waving at them, "Got em!"

"We see, let's go then!" David spoke up and ushered everyone outside, Lucy leading the way and Rebecca bringing up the rear just in case. Lucy was already calling Wakako and letting her know they had the target secured. Making it out to the street and putting away their guns as they could, they walked back towards their parked car. "What's the word Lucy, we taking her somewhere?"

"Nah, Wakako has a car coming." So saying, by the time they made it to their own car there was another waiting for them behind it. Lucy strode forward to talk to the driver before standing up and waving David forward. Opening the rear door for him she watched as he helped Lauren into the back seat.

"Thanks….for saving me."

"You're in good hands now, get going." Getting a nod David closed the door and watched as the car pulled away and left them alone on the street. "Well, that wasn't so bad."

Lucy gave them a thumbs up as creds rolled in, "Easy job for easy money. C'mon, the shrine is closer this time."

Rebecca bounced ahead, opening the trunk and putting her shotgun away, doing the same to the rifle David handed her, "Hmmm, means we can have some fun."

David got an idea, since he was very anti Tyger Claw, "Wanna fuck around and piss them off by sabotaging their rides?"

Rebecca's eyes began to shine as they all piled into the car, "Yes yes yes yes yes!"

Lucy leaned back with a smile as they drove away, "Sure, leave me to work hard while you play."

David grinned back at her, "It'll be a good distraction in case you run into a problem." Driving back onto the main road, their next target was at the Milagra Terrace. Idly David wondered how V was doing. Hopefully not to bad.

-b-

V however was pissed off. While he wasn't one to deal with the spiritual or the like, dealing with the Voodoo boys was something else he'd rather never do again. Placide was an ass, considered him very expendable it seemed, and now he was headed to the Grand Imperial Mall in order to gain access to some tech van. Yay.

'You know, you could just ice them all and talk to this Bridgette woman directly.' Johnny was full of suggestions.

'Something tells me icing all her crew and then asking her for help would not go over well.' Coming up to the two lookouts he had been told to find, V waved, "Yo, you been watching the Animals?"

"You must be the gonk Placide is sending inside yes? Animals likely just muscle, someone else is calling the shots here." The random Voodoo boy sent V directions to the entrance, "Be careful, there's a lot of firepower inside."

V nodded as he turned and walked away, "I'll keep that in mind."

'Oh will you? You've already taken one bullet to the head, what's a few more holes?'

'You remember if I die you die too.'

'You're the one who took this suicide mission.'

'Isn't this like, the only way to get in touch with your netrunner friend, Alt?'

'Yeah true. Maybe. Just reeks is all.'

V came up to the loading area, ducking down and shuffling his way behind loading crates and cars as Animals patrolled the road, 'Everything in this city reeks, but I know what you mean.'

'Not that edgerunner crew you've made friends with. Seem like a decent crew.'

'Yeah. They're good people.' Wasn't often anyone went out of their way to help someone else out. But he didn't want to involve them more than he had to. One death on his conscience was enough. Pausing and watching as the patrolling group walked further down the road with the two Voodoo boys in plain sight, V shook his head and he edged around the corner. Coming out behind a dumpster, he looked over the parking lot he now found himself in. The space was enclosed with a few possibly usable vehicles, but most were dead. More trash than ever, there was only one man he could see on a set of stairs leading up into the rear entrance.

'Gonna have to ice this one.'

'Better make it quick, just in case you alert someone else inside.'

Pulling a new and heavily modified assault rifle from his back, a M2515, he sighted his enemy while making sure the silencer was on properly. Keying his scanner and pinging the area, he was satisfied to see this guy was the only one here. Looking back quickly to see the Animals were even further away, V turned back and took the shot. A single bullet took the man in the forehead and he went down without a word. Body falling backwards from where he was leaning against the rail, the corpse landed in the pile of trash waiting below.

'Nice shot.'

'Thanks.' Running forward and inspecting the guy for anything useful, coming up with a credchip and not much else. Taking a few trash bags and covering the body, V was quick to move up the stairs and through the rear entrance. 'And we're in.'

'Now the question, gonna do this silently or mow your way through everyone in sight?'

'I'd like to live through this thanks. Take a back seat, I need to concentrate.'

'Yeah yeah sure, leave the ghost to it's own devices.' Silverhand however did go quiet, leaving V to his thoughts. Looking around the dark space he scanned and found a working camera on the other side of the hallway, thankfully not pointed at him. Hacking it and leaning against a crate, he got a feel for the interior network. Seemed there were absolutely a shitstorm of Animal's here, the yoked out body junkies handling blunt weapons or massive light machine guns. Ah, there on the first floor tucked away in a corner, there was the van he was here to find. Target acquired V got to work on something he'd thought of trying once. Pulling up his still limited hacking tools, he found the shortcircuit hack and started flowing through the cameras again. System under his control for now, he started frying Animal's cyberbrains that were all alone. Hopefully he wouldn't alert them to his presence this way. Flipping through cameras and being careful, it took about ten minutes of quietly hiding away here in the back but soon the entire second floor was clear. The first floor was a different problem all together, but this gave him time to move around and figure it out. For now it was time to move. Putting the camera's on an internal loop so he wouldn't be caught, he set about finding the bodies and hiding them away while looting what he could. Quietly edging along empty shops and repurposed spaces, V was able to carefully look over the guard rails and look down towards the first floor. Seeing another group, along with some out of place black suits, V scanned them as well.

'Well I'll be damned.'

'I thought you were going quiet.'

'I was until you found fuckin Netwatch goons. How'd they wrangle the Animals to do their dirty work?'

'It's netwatch, these guys could probably threaten to drop a nuke and only be half joking.' V pinged the remaining force and grimaced that there was still a lot of them. However the floor near the van was empty, so he could at least drop down near it and sneak over. Plan set, V started fast walking his way around the large space. Several of the shops were dark, barely lit by the natural light coming through the main skylights at the center of the building, but it worked for him as he remembered to drag the corpses he had left from his hacking spree into the shadows were hopefully they wouldn't be found for a while.

'You're just a regular little Solid Snake aren't you?'

'And who, or what, is that?'

'God I forget that was from my time, you kids wouldn't know anything about cool spies.'

'Sorry grandpa, my generation ruined cool things.'

'Damn straight, better make up for it.'

'I'm just waiting for you to call me a whippersnapper or something at this point.'

'Ass.' There was silence again as V proceeded down cluttered and trash filled hallways. Idly making sure to ping his surrounding from time to time, V decided that no, today really really sucked. This Alt better be really worth it.

'One way or another for sure.'

'Oh god, is she an old girlfriend?'

'What can I say, the women loved old Johnny.'

'So gross.'

'When you've got an impressive cock like mine, you just have to use it.'

'The last thing I needed was the mental image of you with your cock out.'

'Prude.' This day was just getting longer as far as V was concerned, but he pressed on. Determined to finish this job out without having to call on David and his team, sure that they were probably up to something way more important than him.

David was leaning over the roof of his car while he watched the entrance of the shrine. High on the hill overlooking Night City, it was a rather nicely designed place. Peaceful too, as a shrine should be he guessed. Guests were coming and going slowly, visitors looking for something that they for sure would never find in the city. David had a hunch they wouldn't find it here either.

Behind him and rolling from underneath a different car, Rebecca popped up with zip ties and some string in her hands, "So, one count of grenades tied to the fuel cell, one count cut brake lines, and two counts screwed up accelerators on the bikes."

David nodded, "Someone is gonna have a bad day really soon."

Over their net Lucy sighed, 'I'm glad you two are having fun.'

Rebecca crawled into the back seat of the car, putting away her supplies in the trunk through the pulled down seat. Didn't want to draw attention after all, 'We could have been getting sexy out here instead. Windows have a dark mode after all.'

'I think I'd rather deal with that audio that this.' Lucy herself had already gotten into the shrine itself and was depositing the listening bug on Taki's computer. Job done and making sure no alarms went off, she began making her way out. 'I'm done, see ya in 60.'

David nodded and got in the car, starting it and waiting, 'That was pretty fast.'

'Stealth is actually my thing.'

'We can do stealth!' Both of her lovers yelled over the net, much to her secret pleasure. Taunting them was always fun.

'Sure sure.' Slipping past the guards and jumping up and over the wall, she allowed the cameras to go back online fully only as she dropped down into the bushes. A few quick leaps and she was back in the parking lot and entering the car. "All done."

David nodded and pulled away, entering traffic and heading to their third and final job. "Think we have time to get this one done today?"

Rebecca grinned, "It's an underground casino, we've got plenty of time."

Lucy however was laying down in the front seat, head on David's lap, "We could leave it for tomorrow? Give us something to do."

David shrugged, "I figured we could sprint out some jobs, maybe some bigger stuff too and grab Falco and Kiwi. I'm thinking we should build up our reserves."

Rebecca frowned, "Why's that, something going on?"

"I still plan on leaving this place, with both of you. I want to snag as much money as we can before we go. I never want to come back to this city if we can help it. Heck, I want enough that if we decide to go Lucy's route and go to the moon, we can be comfortable up there as well."

Lucy smiled gently as she hugged the man around the middle, "You big oaf."

"Good thing he's cute huh?"

"You said it."

"I'm serious."

Rebecca waved him off, "We know you are. We're not saying we aren't down to work hard for a while." Leaning forward she put her mouth next to his hear, "We're just here to keep you from going over the edge. Gotta remember to relax, take a breath, and then get back to it."

David nodded as Lucy gave him the nav point for the Casino. "I know. Promise, we'll never take more jobs than we can finish in half a day. We're keeping our morning schedule."

"Good, I'd have to shoot someone if we started waking up early."

Lucy was now teasing the man by rubbing her head in his lap back and forth, "Speaking of, we better make this job quick, I'm starting to get amped up."

David sighed and increased their speed. If there was anything that was going to kill him, it wouldn't be cyberspsycosis it'd be this two succubi.

I'm going to work in changing perspectives better between the edge crew and V. I think I've said that before but oh well, you get old and the memory get's foggy. I'll always try to update this story at least once every 2 week. I saw I was getting to 10 days and felt like I was neglecting a child. Till later.
