Inspired by the Beatles song by the same name.
Disclaimer: I own nothing here.
The word repeated in his mind, over and over. Love. Love. Love. It made his head pound in a way that would have been sickening if it hadn't felt so wonderful. He was an up-and-coming mad scientist, making things that couldn't be made, doing things that couldn't be done. There was no time to slow down, to exchange his brain at the door for some⦠girl.
But she wasn't some girl, she was Penny, the beautiful Laundromat girl who had the beautiful hair and the pretty lips and the unique clothes and who was always smiling even if she was sad.
But he knew that even if he didn't get his dreams, even if the League rejected him and all of his inventions and heists failed, he'd be ecstatic if he could just meet her. Because, really, love was all he needed.
If only she'd love him back.
