Note: Now that Sil and the girl are mates, there will be times when 'making love' happens often. Just a warning.

During the day in Ha'rar, the girl went around the village to see how the capital Gelflings did things while the Chamberlain would be off doing other activities. She saw that they sold food and garments to each other just like humans did on Earth, though the way they paid for their stuff was different.

The Gelflings were a little standoffish to her and some were more welcoming. But at least she had heard that Gelflings didn't murder one another like her kind did back home. Even if they didn't get along. There was a guard accompanying her all the time as it was Sil's orders as a lord, but also considering she didn't know all of Thra's ways.

There were times that she would introduce herself and try to help solve the problems that the villagers were having. If she did a good job of helping solve their issues, she was rewarded with food and accessories, along with new friends.

Sil was surprised when she would bring the rewards back to their room when she came back to join him in the evenings. The guards would stay out of their room.

"Where did you get those?" he asked.

"I got them for helping solve some of the issues among the villagers." She replied. "They were definitely relieved when I helped them. Hope you don't mind."

"Hmm. Why would I mind? Human deserves payment for being lord of Crystal, like Chamberlain, being my mate." Sil complimented.

"Actually, you mean Lady of the Crystal. Lords are usually males." She corrected.

"True."

"It was just something I heard once even though I never lived in a royal household back home." She explained. "So, what did you do all day?"

"Help All-Maudra in throne duties. Talk about crop rotations, how other Gelfling fare. Many others to count." Sil replied.

"How long are we staying here? I can't stay long in a cold environment." She stated. Her sinuses were starting to get sniffly as it was.

"We can leave in morning." Sil said. "Is Human cold?"

"Warm enough, it's just the cold air dries my airway out and the mucus has to start running to keep my nose moist. But it's annoying." She explained.

"Chamberlain sees, hmmm."

The girl had been glad to know of the Vapra Gelfling village/city, but she was ready to leave to a warmer place. She slept with Sil sleeping on top of her that night. It was just a keeping warm method. They didn't mate that night.

….

The next morning, Sil and his mate were ready to depart from Ha'rar. They had a good breakfast before departing. The guards got on their Landstriders to lead and follow them to their next destination.

"Where are we going next?" she asked him.

"Take you to see Sifa and Spriton Clans to see what we do for them." Sil replied. "Warmer places. Does that please Human?"

"Yes, it will indeed." She smiled.

So much of her youthful enthusiasm seemed to fascinate the Chamberlain. She had such a zest for life. He felt he did too. There were many things that he knew about Thra that he had learned in his youth, and he mimicked his subjects, but he still had his darker side. For now, he was determined to keep that side of himself hidden, as the other Skeksis hid theirs from Gelflings as well as they could.

It was a long ride from Ha'rar to the Spriton Plains. Even as any Skeksis would prefer to stay in the carriages until they reached their destinations, the girl on the other hand had to get out every once in a while, to stretch her legs.

Eventually, they also arrived at the castle to give the tithes to the Collector. The girl wasn't allowed to enter the castle under her punishment. She stayed at the entrance in the carriage area while Sil and the guards took the tithes inside. After that was done, Sil returned and new guards were commanded to take the other ones' place to accompany them to their next destination.

Sil would have preferred to stay here at the castle really, but he had to accompany his mate. New Armalings were also assigned. They both got on board the carriage again and then left the castle for the Spriton Plains.

It had been a long day on the road with minor stops. They had just entered into the plains as the suns were ready to set. They would stop there for the night. A special tent was set up for Lord Chamberlain and his wife. The guards were to stand watch and take turns sleeping.

A campfire was made to keep wild animals away. It was set a ways away from the tent.

An animal was caught for Sil to eat but he wanted it split with his wife. Sil could eat his raw, but the human had to eat her meat cooked. One of the guards cooked the meat until it was edible, then she enjoyed the meat. She didn't eat meat often here but would eat it. She thanked the guard for cooking for her. He was happy to be of service.

Sil kept his distance from the guards a bit more and sat on a slight hill watching his mate talk to the guards on what they could be expecting upon getting to their destination. He saw how she seemed to get along with the Gelflings in ways that he just didn't connect with them even though he had tried many a time. But he was one of the easier going of the Skeksis. It took quite much to push his buttons. Sil was also listening and smelling around the area too, to make sure there were no dangerous animals nearby.

Tonight, the girl seemed to breathe much easier in this warmer area. The cold was too much for her allergies and health. She talked to the guards, listening to stories about their pasts and village life, getting to know them better. These ones would most likely stay with her and Sil the rest of their time out here on the lands.

When Sil had enough of his wife giving the guards attention, he decided it was time for bed. They had a big day tomorrow.

"Come, Human. Time for bed." Sil ordered. He headed towards the tent.

The girl looked over at him. "Ok. Well, good night, you guys." She said, getting up to follow her mate.

"Good night, Milady." The guards replied.

She went into the tent too. "What was that all about?" she asked Sil.

"Human getting too close to Gelfling. Best not be that close to them. Still Chamberlain's mate." Sil told her.

"I know I am, and I won't do anything stupid with them. Just exchanging stories of their village lives isn't a crime, is it?" she asked in a demanding tone.

"No. Suppose not." Sil replied.

"I was also curious about what to expect from the Spriton Clan too upon arrival tomorrow." She stated.

"Expect friendly greetings. Spriton some of best greetings. Much gratitude from them. They give much food and supplies for castle and other clans. Even supply Landstriders." Sil explained.

"Okay. That helps a lot too." She said.

"Time for bed. Long day past." Sil said. He began undressing down to his gown.

"Okay. I need to go relieve myself and I'll be back in." She declared and left the tent. It wasn't long till she was back.

Sil was waiting for her on their makeshift bed. He watched her as she began to undress down to her gown too. When she went to get next to him, he began to get a little grabby and pushed himself on top of her.

"You must want me that much, right?" she inquired.

"Hmmmm." He grinned mischievously at her. Sil pulled up her gown and spread her legs, getting into her again. It made her moan softly.

There was another mating session. Sil made sure that the girl didn't forget that she was his. He licked and bit at her shoulders, creating new wounds. He was just wanting to make sure she didn't forget her place as his mate.

The mating could be exhausting for her, but she let Sil have his way with her. Being sexually active was usually part of a honeymoon. Sil was definitely having fun in that department.

Outside, the guards had heard some noise from the tent and figured what was going on. It wasn't their business.

After the mating was over, Sil fell asleep on the girl, finally exhausted. It took her longer to sleep as she was sore, but she found sleep. She definitely needed some of that motivation to get her tired enough since she wasn't used to all the animal and strange noises out here.

…..

The next morning, all the guards were awake and began making breakfast for their consorts. It took Sil and his wife a while to wake up. They took their sweet time waking up. But when they were up and dressed again, they came out of the tent. The girl was more careful in her movements. Sil had been a bit rough last night.

Breakfast was ready when they sat by the fire still going. This time, it was only vegetables for food. Even Sil ate them up. He gave his mate a look. She was intent on eating her food, but she saw him looking at her. She nodded at him, and he went on eating his food too.

Soon after breakfast, the fire was put out and the supplies were gathered up. Sil and the girl rolled up the tent and placed it in the carriage. Then they got in and the guards got on their Landstriders. They and the Armalings had been close by.

Now it was on to Sami Thicket, the village of the Spritons.

It wasn't too long a ride this time. At least they were all refreshed after sleeping. The Spritons should have been expecting them. There had been a Windshifter that had sent the message.

Soon, they arrived at Sami Thicket. The girl looked through the window to see outside to see what the great village looked like. She saw many Gelfling gathering to watch and admire their arrival. Sil knew she was just curious about all this. He smiled at her curiosity.

They soon arrived at the Maudra's house and got out. The Maudra and paladins greeted them openly, bowing before them. "Lords of the Crystal, welcome to Sami Thicket." She greeted them. "What's ours is yours."

"Yes, Maudra." Sil replied. "My mate here wishes to explore Gelfling village to see what can be done here. She is allowed free reign under Lord Chamberlain's rules."

"Yes, my lord." The Maudra stated.

"Guard will see to it that way." Sil added on as well. One of the guards nodded.

The carriage was left where it was and the Armalings were allowed to get some food, as were the Landstriders after they were dismounted.

Sil stayed with the Maudra while he allowed his wife to go exploring in the village. Gelfling gathered around her and there was talking. They graciously showed her around their village.

She was shown the huts where their armor, crafts, and clothing items were made. Then there were the animal areas. There was so much work to do here on a daily basis.

The Maudra showed Sil to the place where he could stay with his mate while they were here.

The girl marveled at what the Spriton Gelflings did in a typical daytime. So much work to do and not a dull moment. They all had dark hair and dark colored skin rather. They wore hats on their heads to help protect themselves from the suns.

The girl thought that she wanted to stay here for the majority of the rest of her honeymoon, to learn more from this clan. She definitely got into making crafts and caring for animals. That night though, she was shown to the Maudra's home and that was where she found the Chamberlain, waiting for her.

She went to sit down at his table. "Have good day, Human?" he asked.

"Yeah. A lot of what they showed me was really interesting. Lots to do here to make sure everyone has a job to do." She explained.

"Chamberlain knows. Looked over musicians and other weapons ready for use. Much to decide on. Agree with mate that we stay. Much to do." Sil smiled at her.

The ones serving dinner there soon brought some bountiful plates of food to their table. There were fruit and vegetables tonight. Sil ate them without complaining. The girl was glad to have something to not have to be cooked. She liked Gelfling cuisine.

And soon after dinner, Sil led her to their room to get some much-needed sleep. It had been an exciting day.

Can anyone think of anything else that would make the story more interesting? Looking for ideas.
