The girls held their composure until they got back upstairs, then they let loose screaming, jumping, hugging each other.
"I can't believe he said yes," Violet screamed.
"I wasted so much time with Schroeder, why, when that hunk was under my nose the whole time!"
"Pinch me, it must be a dream," Patty cooed.
Lucy pinched her.
"Ouch," Patty cried and pinched her back.
"Ow!"
"Call your parents before you two start fighting… besides… you don't want him to see your bruised up skin, do you?"
"No," Patty cried from the headlock Lucy had her in.
"Then stop the horseplay."
Lucy called home.
"Hey Lucy," Rerun answered.
"Tell mom and dad I'm staying over Vee's tonight, okay?"
"Sure thing, sis. Is everything okay?"
"It's more than okay. We asked Charlie out and he said yes! Love you, buh-bye," she hung up.
"We," he looked at the house phone confused.
"Mom… can I stay the night over Vee's?"
"Sure kiddo, you let me know if she hurts you again."
"She won't do that, we're much better now."
"Good. Have fun, then."
"Bye mom, love you."
"Love you, too," she hung up.
"Sleepover," Patty sang.
"Damn. You got something we can sleep in, right," Lucy wondered.
"Lu, Lu, Lu," Patty walked over, circled behind her, slipped her hands under her shirt and bra, pulling the slightly taller girl in close embrace, "did you forget?"
"Oh yeah… the thing… you were talking about."
"Is it weird you two look kinda hot like that?"
Patty walked towards the bed and Lucy slapped her butt.
"You girls positive you wanna do this? It's okay if you've changed your mind."
"I'll do it," Lucy walked over.
"We can stop whenever."
"I'm game, let's do it… it's for him and I don't wanna be any kinda disappointment. How do we start?"
"Hmmm… how about with me, I don't mind being touched at all… at least by you girls, other than him. When you feel your ready, you can undress and tell us what's okay to touch and not too touch, it's about building confidence and in this case, trust with each other."
"Can we… undress you to start?"
"Yes."
"I'm kinda nervous… can you two undress me… to help get my nerves up- when I'm ready."
"Of course," Patty smiled.
"Sure, we're in this together. This will be like officially opening completely up to each other, no more secrets."
"When you're ready."
Lucy started to pull Patty's shirt off, Violet waited before going for her shorts, Lucy left the rest for Violet while she undressed herself, Violet slowly undid Patty's bra, and pulled her underwear down, then she climbed in the bed.
"Wait a minute! Before you let your dad keep pumping up your ego… how, just how are you going to date three girls?"
"I've been spending time with each of them and we've learned a lot about each other. I care about them deeply."
"You can care deeply about them and not date them. How would you even manage- that's just not right. I know we try to be open to things, but polyamory, aren't you worried what people will think about you juggling three girlfriends?"
"No, not at all. Other than the past few weeks they have been close friends since elementary school, so it's not like each of them are total strangers."
"I am just worried."
"I think your mom is worried that people will tease you and you'll start spiraling. If that happens this time, you'd be dragging those girls down with you, especially if they care as much as you think they do."
"I don't think that's going to happen. Sure… some students don't like them, but objectively they are some of the most attractive girls in school, even those who don't like them agree. And a guy like me, who's rather average looking, date three of the hottest girls in school… me, the one despite who I came to be, most girls have no interest in, if anything they'll be jealous, and at the worst question why I of all people would want to associate with Vee and Lu with their reputation- they aren't the mean girls they used to be. Lucy and Violet were over here the other night."
"Yes… Violet doesn't seem like anything I heard about. But what about their parents?"
"Violet's are barely in her life, the Van Pelts, well you know how they can be, mom."
"Jenny, his mind is made up. All we can do is trust him and let him learn for himself. We don't even know hardly much about this kinda thing."
"Right. The world isn't like it was when we grew up," she sighed, "if this is what you want, you have our support and best wishes."
"It's the best we can do," Reginald nodded, "after I heard about this morning, it's safe to say they must be crazy about you."
"Oh… that," he chuckled.
"If they care so much about each other, they might last a long time together. It will get rough here and there, but if it last, you and those girls will be legends in this small town. Have a good night son."
"You too dad, mom."
The girls had stayed up late getting to know each other, by the time they were done they were much closer than they had ever been, or would be if it wasn't for Charlie. They lie cuddled up close together with Violet in the middle, Lucy pressed against her back, Patty pressed close with her leg between Violets. Patty's arm was stretched across both girls and Violet was holding her.
"Violet… hey," Patty moved her hair and rubbed her cheek, "wake up sweetie. Violet sweetie."
Violet slowly opened her eyes to Patty's, "mmm… baby girl."
They kissed each other's foreheads and nuzzled noses. Violet giggled when Lucy moved around.
"What is it?"
"Lucy has her hand in my crotch."
"Are you okay with it?"
"After last night… sure."
"I'm proud of you for doing this with us," she kissed her forehead again.
"What are you two whispering about," Lucy moaned.
"Mornin' hun," Patty said.
Lucy sat up and stretched before shuffling to the bathroom.
"She always wakes up grumpy," Patty said.
Lucy walked back in the bedroom, "baby girl, sweetie," she kissed both their foreheads.
"Aww, thank you hun," Violet smiled.
"Guess what."
"What?"
"I'm proud of you and I think you're beautiful," she kissed her forehead again.
Violet sat up and hugged her.
"I bet you want coffee," Patty sat up.
"I do want coffee… but I don't want clothes on," she whined.
Patty and Violet giggled and got out of bed.
"It's just the beginning," Violet held close and nuzzled her neck, "it's not like we can't do it again," she looked at Patty, "right?"
"Duh."
"And… I've got robes, so we don't really need to get fully dressed. Let's go to the kitchen, I'll fire up the espresso machine and back here, toss'em and maybe moooore bonding?"
"You're really getting into this bonding, huh," Patty asked.
"Of course! I want to be as comfortable in my skin as you two, plus I'm doing my best to treat you better than I did, I want you girls to know I'm all in."
"Alright, sweetie," Patty slapped her butt.
Violet grabbed three of her robes from her closet and they went downstairs.
Charlie woke up nice and refreshed, had a nice shower and went downstairs for breakfast.
"Morning," he greeted everybody.
"Yeah, it's afternoon, actually," Sally rolled her eyes.
"Even better," he smiled, "last night seemed like a dream."
"It wasn't, if you mean you coming home with three girlfriends," Reginald looked from behind his Sunday paper.
"You what‽ Them‽ Tell me you're not now dating who I think you are," Sally growled.
"I am, so get used to it. Me and you have gotten close and you even started getting close to Lu. Don't let this distance us again. I do wonder what they're doing, probably waiting on me to call them."
