Chapter 13: Final fight

An hour had gone by and many police cars surrounded the Acme building, as Mr. Chairman and the higher-ups explained to the police what had happened. The Warners also explained what had happened too. During this, the police also searched for Townly, but couldn't find him. They had also gotten word about the capured Acme employees from General Marius, which were safe now. When the police went to check Townly's place out though, all the dip was seemingly missing and no crew members of his were around. All they left was their papers and products around.

Ultimately, the police decided to escort everyone home for their own safety. Since all their personal vehicles were destroyed, the higher-ups called their family members to drive them home. The police would then serve as protection for them until they got to the safety of their homes. As for the Warners, they didn't have a car and Mr. Chairman didn't have any relatives to get him home. So a bus was called to take them home. And you could only guess who was driving the bus. That's right, Charlie.

The silver and green bus pulled up as a familiar face opened the door. "Well, I didn't expect to see you kids again," Charlie said. Yakko, Wakko, and Dot groaned. "What? It's just a bus driver," said Mr. Chairman. "That's another long story," replied Yakko.

The bus was on it's way to drop everyone off to their home, with about 4 police cars surrounding the bus for protection. Nothing major happened through part of the trip and it looked like everyone was about to go home safely. The only major thing was Charlie being a chatterbox as usual, but that was to be expected.

"So, we're headed home? To where you guys live?" asked William. "Yes," replied Wakko, "Home sweet home!" The Warners all smiled. Not only were they reunited, but Yakko, Wakko, and Dot could hardly believe that their parents were coming home with them. After 10 years of separation, it looked like they could really be a family again.

Just then, a loud fan noise could be heard. "What the hell is that?" asked Mr. Chairman. "I think I turned up the air conditioning too high," Charlie said. "But it's not even running," said Angelina. Suddenly a click on top of the bus could be heard and the bus just lifted off the ground. The police officers in their cars immediately stopped and looked up. The bus was being taken away by a helicopter. It turned out Townly was flying the helicopter. His hair was messy and tie loosened after what had happened earlier, but other than that, he escaped without much injury despite the damage to the suit.

"Hello guys," said Townly from the loudspeaker of the helicopter, "Mind if I take you for a ride?" He began flying erratically while laughing. "Oh, and if it isn't the bus driver from earlier. I remember seeing you many hours ago as I recognize this bus." "Anti-toon group..." Charlie growled.

The helicopter was flying by Burbank and close by to Los Angeles. Townly then went to an industrial area where it looked like his employees had set up to stay since their original place got raided by police. "Oh yeah, did I forget to mention we had a backup place?" Townly laughed, "It's an old brick building and it's falling apart, but we're only using it to get rid of you guys. My plans may be toast, but I'll just go undercover to continue my line of work from this point forward." Everyone didn't know what to do, as there was no way they could escape this one.

As luck would have it, they would find a way to escape, though not the way they had hoped. Townly began lowering the helicopter to land, when the tail rotor clipped the side of another building. The helicopter became uncontrollable and was about to crash. "Everyone hold on!" said Charlie. "OH NO!!!" Townly screamed. The helicopter crashed through the roof of the building with the bus. Many of Townly employees who were preparing dip were caught completely off guard by the helicopter crashing through the ceiling and got out of the way. The helicopter and bus crashed violently to the ground and a fire immediately started from the helicopter as the fuel poured out of it. The employees ran away from the area as the fire spread throughout. The fire alarms went off very shortly after.

The Warners, Mr. Chairman, and Charlie climbed out of the bus. A bit bruised, but nothing much other than that. As for Townly, he looked worse than he did before. His hair was even messier, his glasses were cracked and partially broken, his tie was even more lose than before, and the rest of his outfit was ripped in some spots. His leg was trapped under part of the helicopter, but he was able to free himself. He was about to go after the Warners and everyone else, but the fire surrounding him and the helicopter was far too hot to take any chances.

"Hey!" Townly called, "Get me out of here! You won't let me die here, will you?! Get a fire extinguisher!" Everyone gave Townly a cold stare. "A monster like you doesn't deserve to be freed," Angelina said bluntly. Wakko then walked as close as he possibly could to Townly, without risking getting burned. Tears were running down his face. "I HOPE THAT YOU BURN," he said, pointing right at Townly. The expression on his face was powerful and unforgettable. Townly himself didn't say a word, he just stared with an angry expression himself, though nowhere near the same levels as Wakko. After that, Wakko went back to where everyone else was and left to find an exit.

It was very smokey due to the fire, which made it pretty hard to see. Many of Townly's crew tried shooting dip at the Warners and taking down Mr. Chairman and Charlie, but they were unsuccessful. All of which after losing saw no point in trying to get them down and ultimately decided to get out of the building while they could. It wasn't necessarily because of the Warners, chairman, or Charlie getting the upper hand, but rather because of the fire. To add to this, the old brick building was coming apart due to the fire and crash, making it more and more likely to collapse.

"Notice everybody we've fought seems to give up rather quickly?" asked Dot, "Why is that? They weren't that easy before." Mr. Chairman looked up, seeing the structure starting to fall apart. "Maybe it's because we could be crushed by the structure of the building at any moment, or worse," he said. They then saw the exit right up ahead where all of Townly's crew were running out. "There's the exit!" said William. They all ran towards as fast as they could.

A big piece of metal from the top of the building fell. It was a metal structure from that came loose from the ceiling. Charlie saw this and yelled, "Look out!" They all may have missed it, but this split the group pretty much in half. William, Angelina, and Mr. Chairman were closest to the exit, while Yakko, Wakko, Dot, and Charlie were stuck on the other side. "NO!" Angelina bellowed as she tried to get her children to their side, but she was nearly hit by falling metal and brick. "You guys leave! We'll find another exit!" said Yakko. The 4 ran in the opposite direction. And as much as Angelina didn't want to leave her children again, she knew she had to since the building was really coming apart.

Yakko, Wakko, Dot, and Charlie looked around for another exit. They then saw a ladder leaving to the roof. "If that's the only exit, then we must take it," said Charlie. So he made sure the siblings went first before him. So while they climbed up the ladder, Charlie went to check on Townly and to see how he was doing. All he saw was a gigantic ball of fire with the area of where the crash happened. Townly didn't seem present.

Right as he turned back to the ladder, Townly was present and immediately stabbed him with a sharp piece of glass. "Looks like your days of protecting those toons and driving busses are over," he said. Charlie collapsed to the ground, with a look of fear on his face. Townly just snickered as he went up the ladder.

The Warners had all just got up to the roof, having no idea of what had just happened. "Alright sibs, now we just have to wait for Charlie to get up here," said Yakko. Townly popped out of the smokey exit and looked upon Yakko. "Yakko look out!" said Dot. It was no use though, as Townly picked up Yakko and threw him at his siblings. The 3 of them hit into a vent. Townly then walked up to them with a nerf like gun filled with dip that one of his employees dropped.

"What a shame," Townly said, "You could have stayed at the Warner Brothers movie lot and I could have never got you guys. But it looks like my prayers have finally been answered! So thank you guys for making my life so much easier!" Right as Townly aimed his weapon at the Warners, a crack could be heard and he noticed as he looked down at where he stood. The Warners looked at where Townly was and saw what was happening. Cracks formed where the man was standing. Townly's face went into a state of shock and fear, but before he could react, he fell through the roof.

Where Townly once stood, was nothing more than a hole where smoke came rushing out of and screaming could be heard from down there. It was obviously Townly being burned alive, but it sounded so unreal and unholy that it was almost unbelievable to know it was him down there. Yakko helped his siblings up as they quickly got off the roof of the building and went to the next one adjacent to it. He didn't even bother to see Townly, as it was too smokey and he got a pretty good idea of what was going on down there.

As for Townly himself, it was impossible to get a clear look of him. All that could be seen was part of his face as he continued screaming. True fear could be seen on his face. The fear of losing to toons, which he hadn't felt in several years.

The roof then began collapsing and the entire thing ended up falling onto Townly and whatever else was on the ground. The building then completely collapsed into one giant fire, crushing everything what once stood inside it. So if Townly wasn't already dead by then, he was definitely dead now. A monster who died the way he lived.

Wakko and Dot sat down on the other building's roof as Yakko checked on them. "Are you guys alright?" he asked. Both Wakko and Dot nodded as tears ran down their eyes. Fire trucks could be heard arriving on the scene. "Don't worry," Yakko said softly, "It's all over now." He then wiped their tears with his partially smoke covered gloves.

"Children!" shouted Angelina. The siblings saw their mother and father from down on ground level. Mr. Chairman was also there, just kinda standing around awkwardly. Yakko, Wakko, and Dot immediately went down a ladder which lead there. Just like when they were reunited a few hours ago, a big hug was formed. But it was a whole lot more different. They were actually reunited for good now and were planning to stay in Burbank.
