Standing on the edge of the harbor's waters after single-handedly sinking a Fire Nation cruiser, the green-headed woman once known as Katara held her head proud and determined. She had prevented the horrors they were prepared to unleash - and it was amazing.
"Katara, it's well after midnight. I think it's best that you take off the mask and we head home. We can talk about what to do next tomorrow." Oh Aang, always trying to be the good guy. Not a bad bone in his body, she thought. Too bad he was dead wrong.
"I'm sorry Aang, I'm afraid we can't do that. There's so much evil in the world to battle. I must punish them."
Sneering in his face, she continued. "I'm no longer Katara anymore. I have powers gods can only dream of. I have a responsibility to be the bringer of light, the avenging angel of the weak. I am Arashi - and I am the storm they will forever remember!!!"
And in a flash, she was gone. Aang and Sokka could only stand there, wondering what hell had just been unleashed.
In minutes, Arashi had arrived at Pohuai stronghold, on the western edge of the Earth Kingdom. Fifteen thousand men and countless supplies were stationed at the ready for an attack - and they each were unprepared for the horrors that awaited them.
Slipping into an officer's uniform and morphing her head into a regular man's, Arashi made her way into the main hall. Mimicking her voice into a deep baritone, she called out for all to hear.
"A-TTEN-TION! A-TTENTION! Line in order, please!"
Once the men were in proper order, the disguised Arashi began to speak.
"All right men. Orders have arrived from headquarters, we're shipping out to Gaoling tomorrow. Defenses are down, and we are ready to strike. I need you all to report to your bunks and be ready at 0600 sharp. Oh, and one more thing…"
Morphing back into her green face, Arashi screamed the last words they'd ever hear.
"GOD TOLD ME TO BOIL YOU ALIVE!!!!!!!!"
The soldiers began to crumple and wince in pain, their insides getting hotter and hotter with each passing second. In no time at all, bodies littered the floor, their organs cooked to over 400 degrees.
Leaving the main hall to find her next victims, Arashi soon found them in the medical ward, five doctors with scalpels and forceps by their sides.
The doctors suddenly heard a female voice booming through the room.
"Hello gentleman. You cut up people for a living, now it's time to cut your way out. A toxic gas is filling the room as we speak. To get out and get the antidote, you must cut off your own leg. You have two minutes - or you die."
As the doctors began to panic, the voice came back again after only fifteen seconds.
"Time's up, gentlemen. Sorry, I'm bad at math."
Pulling a rope outside the door, Arashi peered in a few moments later to see her work. Mangled saws hung from the ceiling dripping blood, the doctors' bodies decapitated in all different types of cuts.
Carnage continued from room to room, floor to floor. Twenty men in one room found their bodies inflated with water before popping like balloons. Forty more men were found with icepicks in their chests, blank stares the only thing that showed they were once among the living.
Satisfied with her work, Arashi made it to her final destination - the general's quarters. The once-fearless Colonel Shinu cowered in front of her green face, begging her to show him mercy.
"Please, ma'am. I was just following orders. I have a family, I can't leave them alone."
Arashi scowled back in disgust. "I had a family once too. A loving father, a doting mother, a sense of peace. You took that from me, and I'm repaying the favor."
Pulling out a hockey stick and dropping a puck, she smiled. "Besides, your kids are going to have a much better world than the one you've created, I know it. Hope you can catch."
With one swing, the puck was sent flying toward Shinu's head. As the puck went clean through his skull, a mess of blood, bone fragment, and other substances covered the chair in which he sat.
Leaving the fortress behind, Arashi watched the giant waves she had created pull it back into the sea. A lot of good had been done tonight, but there was still so much more to do.
"I will destroy the Fire Nation. It is my destiny. I must destroy them, I must, I MUST!!!!!"
