AN: (stares at the last time I updated this story) Well…guess I'm not good at holding promises, huh? Turns out, my pile of assessments are more worrisome than I thought. And only less than a fortnight until I'm out to be free without any worry. Ha, ha, ha.

But even though it took a month or two, I have been thinking of how to continue, so I'm doing my best. So for those who are still following, sorry for keeping you all waiting.

Also, you all heard of the new trailers that came out? Well, I'll say, I'm actually excited for the upcoming FNAF movie! I'm not sure of how it'll go, but it looks pretty promising (I'm still confused about the springlock trap Mike seems to be getting in the teaser...). The Ruin DLC trailer looks equally promising as well since I wonder if it'll fix some mistakes of the story. Maybe someday I'll add elements of the DLC for the final night of the story. But for Help Wanted: Part 2...I don't know what to think. Until they give more news about it, I'm neutral.

Hope you enjoy this chapter; it might not be much, but it's starting to rise.

Chapter 40 - A Night to Remember

Roxanne Wolf's POV

…well, that's unfortunate I didn't get to say a word for a while. Initially, I would brag a little about how I made my return. But after the whole chicken farm underneath my raceway and black magic seemingly entered the Pizza Plex…I don't even know if I should trust my words.

The fourth day went alright. Not that much energy as last time, but me and my friends did our best. While we didn't take that much time to interact with the kids in between performances, we gave our all. Besides, we get to talk with many guests outside shows. I still get to go to my raceway to check on the kids.

However, when I was there, it made me feel a little more worried than feeling usually empowered. There were guards around, but I thought a kid might sneak into that secret passageway we found last night. If they did come close to finding the elevator, they wouldn't be safe if more Toy Animatronics spawned around there.

I know it was for the best to keep the elevator shaft a secret, but I felt it was wrong to keep it hidden. It didn't feel right. The confirmation of my suspicion should be reported to deal with it instead of leaving it out. Bunch of cowards leading this entire place, I would say.

But I had to wait for a while and need to have faith that no one would get hurt around there.

When night came, I thought things might simmer down by then. Maybe we would be able to get some headspace before returning to another funky night.

It didn't go to plan when some of my buddies seemed to be freaking out. At the moment, I just found Melody patting Chica's back as she continuously consumed garbage from a filled bin…and vomited back out. I couldn't see the sick procedure of her stuffing her beak with those leftovers, but it wasn't a pretty sight.

The anxious Melody looked at a loss for words. This was probably the first time she was aware of Chica's craving episodes. The girl didn't even look like she was ready to handle this situation. I felt stupid for not realizing this earlier.

"How…long has she been doing this for?" I asked.

"Ever since the last kid left the Pizza Plex," said Melody, biting her lip. "Pretty much nearly three hours now!"

"You got to be kidding me."

It seemed that my voice brought Chica back into the light since she turned to me. Eventually, her attention was drawn away from the garbage bin, focusing on me. As I was about to take a step forward, she suddenly crumbled down.

She was crying. Her hands were over her eyes.

She must have been doing this for a long time. Even after our…talk about her problem.

"Chica?" I said, bending down on one knee. "You're OK?"

"Are you alright?" asked Melody in concern.

Chica didn't look upwards. She was trying to hide her face. I tried reaching my hand on her shoulder for comfort, but she only flinched when I did. It was as if I was a stranger.

She really did do this for a long time.

I took a deep breath, trying to think of what to say. "You know you wouldn't be able to continue this for long. It's going to get yourself-"

"I know! I know…" squeaked Chica, not making eye contact. "Please don't…come closer. I'm just…gross and…eating things like that! I could smell the scent right here and I couldn't help it!"

I sighed, trying not to sound irritated. "Yeah, I understand that's how you feel when you become hungry. But I don't understand why you didn't tell me if you were at this for a while…"

"I don't know…I don't…" Chica briefly looked up but turned away, ashamed. "It only started a little after seeing those ghosts. I…I had no idea what else to do. But then, last night, it became worse and faced with the fact that the statue of Bonnie could hurt…"

She eventually tilted over and her body slammed against the floor. She was really vulnerable at this point, pulling her legs to her chest as she wrapped her arms around them.

"That voice is nagging at me again…" she whimpered. "Makes me feel safer than anything else…like getting to be in heaven again. It's…it's like…?"

"Like an addiction that you cannot shake?" filled in Melody, her eyes widening in realization.

Chica nodded meekly.

"...I don't know how I should explain it. I don't think you could take it a second time…"

I couldn't lie; she had a really good point. And once again, I was starting to feel like we would…lose this game the rabbit lady placed us in. With all of the tricks and spells planted in the Pizza Plex, it would be nearly a matter of time until everything shatters. And that was what I was afraid of. In fact, I didn't take the time to…think about what could happen if we all failed to survive.

It made me feel sick of feeling scared like this. I shouldn't be! I shouldn't be acting like this! That would be what a loser would be thinking.

But…for some reason, I wondered if I would end up doing the same as Chica. If this was her way of dealing with the stress…

Remember when I said I wasn't sure if I had something I wanted that wasn't mine?

At the moment, I felt like I want it to solve everything.

I briefly glanced at Melody. She opened her mouth, but I raised a finger. She nodded, letting me speak.

"Chica, maybe I'm a little mad that you're back into eating when you're not supposed to," I said carefully. "And maybe I'm also mad that I'm…powerless in fixing this craziness around us. But I'm not mad at you since…we don't exactly know what's going on."

Chica slowly looked up at me. She looked like she could cry already. Being covered in grease didn't help at all.

"How can you not be mad at me when we should have focused on…this?" She weakly waved her hand above her head, gesturing everything.

"Because I want to be safe," I said. "I want you to feel safe. And if it's due to investigating the elevator shaft without alerting everyone in the first place, then I'm sorry. I kind of also…forgot how it feels like to feel worthless when we feel that we are on our own."

Chica gulped. "S-Same. And yet, you…came for me?"

"You're my friend, Chica," I said, a little too bluntly. "Why else I cannot see my sister? You confided in me first and I did take the time to think through. I rather try to help you now, but I cannot do so you don't trust me on this one."

It was brief, but Melody looked like she could tear up already. She looked away bashfully but slowly wiped one of her eyes.

Chica stared at me for a while, considering my words to her. This time, I felt I was in a good position to help. Neither of us felt good about the situation dawning over us. I really want Chica to be with me to get through it together. This would be what I could give back in return for her. And it wasn't pity for her hunger issues; I'm surprised myself that I feel completely connected sympathy to her.

Immediately, Chica jumped upwards and wrapped her arms around me. I returned the favor, letting her rest her chin on my shoulder again. This time, I could hear her sobbing. It sounded like the first time she cried. Ever. And it even made me a little emotional since she was scared as I was.

"I'm so sorry…" whispered Chica. "I'm so sorry for…"

"It's alright," I said, stroking her back gently. "I understand. Just be careful with how much you eat. We're in this…together?"

"...my hunger is still there, but…I can try."

I smiled. "And never forget that."

We remained in this hug for a while, but throughout, I noticed that Melody wasn't smiling at all. I thought she would be relieved that I managed to get through Chica. Or if she would want to add anything else. However, she was choked up. She had a similar look, much like Monty at times. I couldn't really tell, but it seemed to be her turn to crave something she wanted.

It made me wonder if she was…upset with this scene? Emotional as well? I couldn't really tell, but she just appeared solemn watching this.

Even when we let go and Melody stepped in, the security guard didn't appear to regain the previous spunk I had seen from her before.

"S-So…" she sputtered. "May I take…you to clean, Chica?"

Chica glanced at me and I gave her a reassuring nod.

"Sure then, kiddo," said Chica, smiling sadly as she held Melody's hand. "I don't mind."

"Is there something on your mind, kid?" I asked Melody.

The lavender-haired girl shook her head. "No. It's just…something on my mind. Let me think through it."

That was new. Melody seemed to keep to herself or act on defense from what I heard. But this seemed like the first time she ever sounded unsure herself. For such a young girl, she really held some kind of special armor for a long time now. I wasn't sure how to feel, but I became curious about what she thought so far.

"Oh, also…" said Melody, rubbing her chin. "I feel that you might need to hear this."

"What is it?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I got a message from Freddy a couple of minutes before…he reported that there is a large crack in Monty's glass window. Something happened on his side."

For some reason, I didn't feel too surprised. "Huh."

"Oh no!" said Chica, alarmed. "Is Monty going through some kind of break-up?"

This managed to crack a smile on Melody. "No, no, no. I think it's some kind of argument or thinking about what we discovered…like you did? I don't know the full story, but Freddy is already trying to help out."

Chica was nearly speechless. "Ooh…well, that's strange."

I shrugged. "I can see how they are doing. What about Augustina? She hasn't arrived yet."

Melody narrowed her eyes. "Hmm, it's…something, something sightseeing the Pizza Plex."

"At least it's not something too bad. She still got a lot of time before the Pizza Plex shuts for the night."

I decided not to worry about it. Either way, Augustina could handle being locked outside. She could just hop back home and collect her paycheck tomorrow. It wasn't like we needed more guards. With Chica and Melody making their way to parts and service, I made my way to the green rooms. I was curious to see what was going on with Monty.

Monty did run into that statue of Bonnie. Don't get me wrong; things could have nearly gone wrong for Elena. But the damage was slightly less compared to what I experienced. So I wondered why he made that big of a deal that he punched his window that badly. I know that he could have some temper issues here and there, but it seemed that him breaking things were starting to slowly increase.

To my surprise, this thought was confirmed when I entered to hear…shouting?

"We do it right now and it'll leave us alone!" yelled Monty's harsh voice. "Now's the perfect time to get rid of it!"

I turned around the corner, expecting a fight to happen. But it was only Monty's window that suffered anything. My goodness, that was a REALLY huge crack in his glass window. It nearly touched the frame of it. The white disjointed stripes on the glass could easily make a hole. But it wasn't the main attention.

Monty was trying to march towards where Bonnie Bowl might be at, but Freddy was holding him back, his hands on Monty's chest.

"Monty, we should really think about this," said Freddy, visually sweating. "I know that you're really paranoid of Bonnie and-"

I noticed Monty's fists tightened, but they were trembling like his voice. "P-Paranoid?! Of Bonnie? Or the statue?"

"But if we remove it, then we don't know what else can happen!" pointed out Freddy. "It might grow worse judging by Elena and Neptune's vision last night."

Monty growled, slapping Freddy's hands away. "Who cares?! It will grow worse if we don't do something about it! Rip it off the stage! Cut it in half! I don't care as long as it's REALLY down!"

"And you don't suppose it might be a trap as well?" said Freddy, sounding angry himself. "How is this going to solve anything if you do something that reckless?"

Monty looked like he could pop a circuit in his head. He was silent, but his body was already shaking in pent-up anger. Before I made this my move to interfere, Monty stomped the ground as he raised his voice much louder than before.

"Are you kidding me?!" roared Monty. "You're saying that we chicken out?! I guess that's what you mean when you said 'let the managers handle this, they'll understand'!"

Freddy's composure was close to breaking down. "Monty…

"The second before, you told me of what our home holds. And now you're just gonna let it go?!" He placed a finger on Freddy's chest, dangerously on the tip of his claw. "Maybe the company won't like it, but no one will notice, and unfortunately, that's the bad part as well! How can you expect a normal night if we take the 'safe way'? You know those plastic bastards out there are still hunting for flesh!"

Freddy flinched. I couldn't blame him since this was the first time a swear word like this came out from any of our mouths. I would want to, but my programming didn't make it easy for me. So seeing Monty suddenly saying that could mean…

"Monty, listen here," said Freddy warningly. "And watch your-"

"Don't give me that bulls**t, Freddy!" snarled Monty. "It cannot go perfectly as you are! Think about those ghosts! Think about Vanessa! You don't think they have control over our advantages in this situation?! You don't seem to worry about what they do behind our backs!"

I whistled to myself. Monty really had a good point. I mean, Vanessa was in that elevator, so it was up to anyone's guess what she was doing. From my last scan, no strange anomalies from her and her ghost. I didn't think much of the ghosts since I found them cool to stay.

Monty was really going deep, much like Chica, huh?

Any firmness from Freddy was removed as his eyelids slowly drooped to appear sad. His ears lowered, similarly reflecting my growing worry about our home.

"…and so?" muttered Freddy. "You also investigated behind my back. I-I know I wouldn't take it well, but…we would be…safer if we all did it together."

Monty's jaw was wide open, but he closed it when he seemed to think. However, being still in silence only seemed to frustrate him more. He kept shaking his head, muttering things I couldn't detect. His tail was swinging around in irritation. When he turned around, that was when he started growling. Eventually, it became a roar as he swung his fist into the nearest object he could find.

CRACK!

I was relieved that Chica wasn't here or she might have started eating the spilled garbage from the now-dented bin. Monty looked like he wanted to crush the bin further but held his fist back from temptation.

A sympathetic Freddy tried to come close to him, but Monty sensed him.

"Stay back! Stay back!" shouted Monty, suddenly afraid.

"Monty…" whispered Freddy.

I was surprised to see Monty this vulnerable already. It got me wondering if I would end up in this state. From the start, he had been chill and easygoing. But it felt like any of that cheerfulness was gone. It didn't feel right seeing him like this…in fact, it didn't feel right seeing my friends beating themselves up like this.

Monty was giving a lot of signs that he would nearly need space. He couldn't stop moving around, trying to keep his hands behind his back. The sudden twitches told me he was indeed angry, but him backing away meant he didn't want to hurt Freddy. Even when the worried bear tried coming close to him.

Eventually, Monty slapped himself over the face and his programming seemed to reset. He took a deep breath, but he let out a growl.

"I'll save you the trouble for the next few hours, Freddy," he grumbled. "Take care of the security guards. I want to search."

"Search for what?" asked Freddy anxiously.

But the alligator was in no mood to talk. He had already turned away but was heading in the opposite direction of Bonnie Bowl. I suddenly felt pathetic for hiding away. I should have stepped in to defend Freddy! I mean, I could deal with hothead Monty. But it was too late and he was far from hearing.

Evidence of this, he passed by me but barely batted an eye at me.

His glowing red eyes only remained determined on his mind goal.

When Monty was gone, Freddy slowly sat against the wall quietly. I nearly thought he would cry, but not even a scream. His yellow eyes went dim like he just…stopped.

Knowing what I might have to do, I strut forward.

"So, he's...gonna tear down that Bonnie statue?" I asked once I got close.

"It looks like so," said Freddy despondently. "I just hope that he doesn't get himself hurt or…"

He trailed off, looking up at me. I wasn't too surprised since he could be sensitive at times. But it was strange seeing him appearing this worried by now. I decided to sit next to him to give him some company, the least that I could do.

"Hey, Roxy," he suddenly asked.

"Yes?"

"Is it selfish for me to not want to take down the statue? I mean, I can handle Bonnie not being with us-"

"Well, you did have a special connection to him from what I noticed," I answered without thinking. "Maybe a little selfish? Though, you still know him and so does Chica."

"Yeah, I know that," clarified Freddy. "But it's mostly on...maybe the company wasn't honest with us about their choice of making the statue, but I don't want to go on the deep end on taking…hasty decisions. Can't fight fire with fire after many mishaps, can we? Monty did have a point that we need to do something before someone makes things worse, but...I feel like we all have our own way in the end."

"We're not exactly," I tried to reassure. "Who gave you that idea? I mean, last night, it suddenly became kind of urgent? The Daycare Attendant wanted to see the elevator shaft already, so I thought of giving them the tour before they lost their energy…" Wait, this wasn't helping my case. However, we came in time. "We did manage to rescue Vanessa, however."

"I know I might be saying it again, but I don't want any of you hurt. And I should be the one looking out. Like, what if Gregory is caught?"

I noticed a crack in Freddy's deep voice. Usually so confident, but he sounded more solemn than cheerful and ready.

"Gregory won't get caught," I remarked. "He's a smart kid. And I won't go into anything stupid…" Freddy gave me a look. "OK, but that was not serious! Not serious...just trust some of us on this one. I'll have to see about Monty, though. I can tell you what I'm doing if it makes you feel better."

Freddy's eyes glowed. "That's...reassuring." It didn't last long when he turned his head away. "Do you...also think Monty is right about our home? That it is...dangerous?"

Wait, that wasn't what Monty exactly said. "Freddy-"

"I-I know it's a stupid question," stuttered Freddy. "But it's...our home too and...it's really where it all started from. I'm really thinking back on that statue. It feels like we might accidentally break something meant for us. Or destroy the whole thing like we are no longer safe here. Like we...might not be safe to be around kids anymore."

Something told me that this question in his mind was due to his thoughts. He would know about the past events of the previous pizzeria. As we sat silently, I tried thinking about what to say. I already did this with Chica, but with Freddy was new rules. He was the leader of the band, so it felt a little…unnatural.

I shouldn't be feeling like this. I already have minds to pick and choose. Yet, seeing nearly everyone distressed was unnerving. I wished I wasn't scared at this point, but I was a little seeing Freddy nearly resigned.

Once again, the growing fear seemed to help me understand.

Man, I must be on a roll that night, huh?

I decided to give a short summary for him.

"I can see why it's hard," I said. "I would have to wonder what kind of illusion is on us. I'm more familiar with fire pits than any kid visiting here, but let's just say we won't lose everything by the end of the day."

Freddy scoffed a little. "And your point is?"

"We all are trying to help the children. It's what we're made to do and I would have died doing so. I don't think we'll lose everything for good. At least you also got your fans who might understand you." I paused for a second, thinking about what to add. "Reminder that I know we might not be together when trying to figure out what the female rabbit freak is up to, but trust me, I know what I'm doing. I trust you that you'll try taking care of Gregory."

Freddy had a thoughtful look, his eyes returning back to their healthier glow. Unlike Chica, he seemed to take this more calmly. That was in his gentle nature. He smiled sadly, but it would take time for him to save this in his head. He nodded before ruffling my hair. I tried refraining myself from rolling my eyes (and not wagging my tail), but good thing he didn't notice.

"Yeah…and he did say that he knew he could rely on all of us, even the security guards," muttered Freddy. "I don't know why I forgot. I thought it…"

I shrugged. "Guess that it's not automatic. We're animatronics, but…know what, I rather not go deep into this!"

He chuckled a little. "Then I should be lucky for already past the existential crisis part."

"Oooh! This looks so pretty!" squealed a voice.

I froze.

Freddy's eyes widened.

That was a new voice.

My instincts kicked in as I leapt upwards. I sniffed, trying to identify the stranger. But I didn't expect a brown-haired girl to enter the room, carefully skipping around. She even stopped to admire the pink shiny wall beside her, stroking it like a pet.

"Ooh! This is really shiny, even at night!" she chirped. "No wonder why it was a little expensive to get a ticket."

"You got to be kidding me," uttered Freddy.

I know, right? I wasn't sure if I was seeing things, but it was definitely someone who stayed overnight here. I don't think this person had her ID details in the files. I wondered how she even managed to stay here until midnight. Wouldn't the guards find her by now? While Elena and Gregory managed to get in here, this wasn't a regular thing to happen.

"Something about this place is getting me vibes from a certain movie," said another voice.

A silver-haired girl entered the scene, holding what appeared to be a clipboard. Turned out that the brown-haired girl didn't come alone.

"This reminds me of-"

The silver-haired girl was cut off when a pink-haired girl took a swipe at her head, causing her to accidentally bumped into the brown-haired girl. Those two girls fell into a pile while the pink-haired laughed victoriously.

"Yes!" she hissed. "Vengence is already mine!"

And then, that was when things became more surreal.

"Guys, please don't wander off," said a blonde coming into the scene.

"Aren't you gonna scold Ross for attacking us?" cooed the brunette.

More girls were beginning to appear. New shades of hair colors flashed around, nearly matching the colors of the Pizza Plex.

An orange-haired girl helped the two fallen girls.

A blue-haired girl was observing the room, shaking her head in disgust.

A black-haired girl quickly climbed on an advertisement sign, waving her phone around to get a signal.

"Augustina, I'm just thinking that maybe we're in the middle of the Pizza Plex!" said another new voice.

Freddy's jaw was wide open that it could drop.

I was just shocked, unable to even move.

I counted about like eight girls, including a redhead accompanying the weary Augustina. It was already crazy to think a group of girls were innocently wandering into the Pizza Plex. Late at night! Never thought that we would have an audience this huge visiting us.

Were they…friends of Augustina she brought over?

As the unexpected crowd of girls filed in, Elena, Vanessa and Gregory came in as well. So did Chica and Melody from another entrance.

Surprisingly, Monty didn't appear just yet.

Once all eyes fell on the girls, they all froze.

Elena inhaled sharply. "Yeah…I'm telling the truth…"

Vanessa was dumbfounded. "Elena? Why do we have a group of girls who probably hid on the stage?"

Surprisingly as well, none of the new visitors didn't react at all. Except for the redhead, who kept looking at Augustina as if asking her to defend their visit. Augustina sighed and stood in front of the muttering group of girls.

"Now…hear me out," she said nervously. "These are my sorority roommates from my university and…they wanted to stay here overnight to experience the thrills of the Pizza Plex."

There was a long silence. I was speechless as well. I glanced at the girls and one of them flinched upon seeing me. Though, I didn't feel mad. In fact, I felt…kind of impressed.

Maybe I should ask them the full story of how they roped Augustina into bringing them in.

I took a quick glance at Elena and Melody. The former seemed to know already, shaking her head in disappointment and embarrassment. The latter was gawking at the seemingly successful sight of a group of girls breaking in.

"...what?" said Chica flatly, mirroring nearly everyone's surprise.

Vanessa shook her head. "Augustina! What did you exactly do?!"

"Hold on, Officer Vanessa," said the redhead quickly. "It was our decision. We accidentally dragged Augustina along when she chased us on our way to the Pizza Plex."

"With a trolley cart attached to a van," added a pink-haired girl.

Gregory was starting to appear confused. "Are you allowed to come in here?"

"Eh, it should be fine," said a black-haired smugly. "Though, if we were security guards, we would ask you and that braided-haired chick why you two are here as well?"

Elena's eyes snapped open. "Excuse me?"

"W-Why come here?" asked Chica. "What specifically?"

The girls looked at each other with unreadable expressions. Some of them were whistling innocently. I smell trouble. If I were close, I would have done a scan in case they have criminal records (though that would be interesting to find out). Eventually, they turned to the redhead with one pushing her forward to speak.

The leader cleared her throat, recomposing herself. "We all just need a little break for the week. And unfortunately, we couldn't book a single slot during the daytime due to classes, boyfriends, stuff like that. Girls like us deserve a big award."

Melody voiced her thoughts, her expression still the same. "So…you're…crashing over here for the night…hoping to have your own private party…here?"

A collective nod amongst the girls.

A brown-haired grinned. "In a nutshell."

Vanessa sighed, shaking her head. Elena stepped back with a knowing look. Gregory and Melody were already growing concerned by this. Freddy decided to stand upward, putting on a fatherly presence that would show he was the boss of the room.

"Pardon me if I appear rude," he said. "But isn't it unwise to break and enter into a building at night time? When it's closed? You would all be trapped here."

This fact fazed none of the girls.

"We know," said the redhead flatly. "We just don't care. We can get into trouble whenever we want to!" She paused, her smile tightening. "OK, we won't bang up any of the rides. We'll just…admire and play around in the party room…"

"I can lock all of you up in the lost and found room," said Vanessa, putting her hands on her hips. "Until I find your parents and get them here."

"That can work," muttered Gregory.

"...especially you two, Elena, Gregory. No exception."

"Oh, c'mon!"

"Please, don't worry!" said a blonde-haired. "We all ensure we won't leave a tiny scratch on anything."

"Yeah," agreed a silver-haired. "We're already responsible women. Grown women."

"So, you're all suddenly 25 years old?"

The girls immediately burst out laughing. Vanessa's face reddened. She glared at Augustina who could only give her a sheepish look reading 'this is out of my hands'. Almost every other human in the room looked resigned to the situation.

I looked back at Freddy and Chica, the latter already coming close to us. Both of them were quite wary about this. Having a group of girls staying here would be crazy. Not to mention getting close to the Bonnie statue or the elevator vault. But thinking on those two things…I find myself hating to worry.

These kids looked like they wanted to have fun. I could respect their bravery and stupid boldness. In a way, I realized that if we locked them up, they would break out much like how they broke in here with Augustina. This would give me the ire of the security guards, but this felt right to ensure the girls weren't encouraged to do anything stupid.

I stood up, whistling. "Yo, these girls are cool to stay."

Vanessa sent me a glare. "Don't encourage them."

"What?" I said, lifting a hand up sassily. "It would be fair to let them have their fun instead of finding ways to leave more scratches if you end up putting them in lost and found."

Freddy hummed, nodding. "Roxy has a point. Though, I'll say to keep an eye on them so they don't run off."

Hearing this, the girls cheered loudly. They appeared to be wearing backpacks since they tossed them in the air like graduation hats. Augustina let out a low, long sigh, unhappy with this idea.

"Are you sure about this?" asked Chica. "Let's think through this."

"She's right," said Melody, stepping in. "We should think about what to do with them."

"Wait, but you guys took care of me and Elena," pointed out Gregory quietly. "So, wouldn't it be the same with them?"

"I think this is quite different," said Vanessa.

"Maybe yes, but they came here for the big stars, right?" I said with a smirk.

Before Vanessa could speak, Augustina spoke up.

"Y-Yeah…" she said awkwardly. "Well, they would be…attracted to the…Glamrocks better because they are the idols, the handsome, the…beautiful with those curves and shapes and…most likely to listen to them. You know that kind of thing with girls my age…"

Gregory hummed, surprised. "She actually makes a good point!"

"So you mean like children obeying them?" asked Melody.

I nearly thought of smirking, but it seemed that this was the wrong thing to say. Nearly every new visitor was already giving a stink eye at Augustina, Melody and Gregory. Needless to say, they didn't seem to appreciate the comment on who they were more likely to listen to.

It was enough to get the redhead to elbow Augustina in the arm.

"Hey!" yelped Augustina. "S-Sorry, Cassandra. I thought-"

"T-That's not what we're here for," stuttered Cassandra, flustered. "W-What she meant is-"

"I'll tolerate then," said Vanessa.

"...what?"

Vanessa crossed her arms. "As long as the Glamrock Animatronics keep their eyes on you, no sneaking off. Unless you need to use the toilet."

Things didn't ease off yet as the girls glanced at Augustina and Melody. The two security guards nearly looked away, sheepish of what they said. Before they could say anything, Freddy filled in the noise.

"Works for me then!" said Freddy, slowly looking excited to have other guests. "You all will need to be best behaved, but I'll look forward to spending the night with you all."

Eventually, I followed along. "Yep! Who says that we cannot get into trouble again?"

Freddy and Chica gave me a scowl.

However, it didn't discourage any of the girls as they cheered loudly with high-pitched squeals. They came rushing in, looking like toddlers lining up for candy.

"ALRIGHT!"

"YAY"

"THIS ROCKS!"

Within seconds, they were already crowding the three of us, their eyes sparkling like puppies. In fact, they were acting like puppies. Trying to bounce up and down to get our attention. A good number of them remained calm, looking up at us in awe. All of a sudden, I felt like they were more like kindergarteners than young adults.

Nonchalantly, Vanessa stepped away. "Good luck!"

And with that, she walked away. Wait, no. She didn't walk away. She RAN away.

"They're not kidding when they said that the paint job is supreme!" said the blue-haired girl, holding onto Chica's arm.

An orange-haired chuckled shyly, coming close to Freddy. "Oh, Freddy, I'm…not really a furry…but I do find you hot."

Freddy blinked innocently. "Well, I'm not a furry as well. But I find you hot."

The security guards stared at him in silence before Melody broke into a giggle. Gregory tried to suppress a snicker, but it was failing.

On the other hand, Vanessa and Elena were cringing, clenching their teeth.

Freddy remained oblivious to what he said. He probably thought this was a nice way to tell teenage girls.

The orange-haired remained oblivious to those reactions, enamored by the smooth, deep way Freddy presented.

"Oh…wow!" she sighed, putting a hand over her head.

"Simp," deadpanned the blonde-haired.

"Like you know tastes better."

"Hey, hey, ladies," I said with a grin. "No need to fight. We got the whole night long!"

Chica had to put on a smile when the girls got close. But when she heard this, she slowly turned to me with a scared look. I quickly waved my hand, gesturing to her that I didn't mean THAT. I just gave her a cheeky smirk, telling her it was a joke.

"Oooh!" cooed the brown-haired, not getting it. "Spicy!"

"Opal, please," said a nervous silver-haired. "They're not toys."

I laughed a little, finding it amusing how they saw me. But yet, it was fun this way and even breathless. I don't think I mentioned much of this before, but whatever way, I was more than happy to soak up the attention. It was a shame Monty wasn't here to share it, he would definitely like it, but for this moment, it was nice that we have older fans looking up to us.

I wondered if their decision to break in was due to me. Their appearance looked normal, but maybe there was this rebel underneath them. Guess that explains why they must find me cool! Feeling nearly superior, I flexed my hands around, letting my claws shine. A couple of girls cooed as I struck a pose. A tingling feeling briefly spread through my spine.

Oh yeah, this felt REALLY good…

Maybe this night wouldn't be bad after all!

"Not saying this to get you to run over the place," said Chica, uncaring to the mass attention. "But do you have anything you brought over to keep yourself entertained?"

"Already packed," reassured the blonde-haired, pulling out her backpack to show. "When out for an adventure, never forget your essentials."

And boy, there was a lot in there! I wondered if they brought an entire setting for a birthday party. I even scanned the bag to confirm the possessions she had. There was a container of cupcakes, a board game, a computer and a boombox.

There were just a few small things such as golden rings, tissues and-wait, was that a grenade at the bottom of the bag?

"Well, at least you girls aren't freeloaders."

Elena's voice snapped me out from looking further. Clearly, she wasn't comfortable, distancing herself from the crowd. She even looked guilty. This went the same for Gregory, who was shuffling his feet around. I would have told them not to feel bad since their situation was different, but one of the girls beat me to it.

"But it sounds like you got a good blessing here," said the black-haired, grabbing Elena's hand for a handshake.

Gregory cracked a small smile. "It seems like so."

"Say, was it really alright with Augustina? She can be a little dramatic about every-?"

Immediately, Elena pulled her hand back. The black-haired girl yelped, nearly falling forwards. Elena shifted her eyebrows in a pissed manner. She looked back at Augustina, standing in headlights. The security guard was trying to process everything that happened, seemingly appearing envious. To my surprise, Cassandra was still standing there with her.

Elena huffed before turning back to the black-haired. "Nah. I'll say, the…most unlikely places let you understand one another better. Guess that you all were really busy at university to do things like that, huh?"

The black-haired didn't have a witty comeback, huffing. However, she nodded in approval.

Gregory was confused. "What was that, Elena?"

"I'll tell you another time," hushed Elena.

Augustina blushed. Cassandra glanced at her. The two girls stared at each other awkwardly. Eventually, Augustina gave her the thumbs-up and Cassandra joined her fellow girls. However, she didn't appear as happy as her friends were.

I was starting to guess that Augustina didn't get along with these girls from her university. I looked at her with a concerned look. It was cool and all to have an audience, but seriously, I didn't have a problem with her. She was a good person to hang out with. However, she continued holding up a thumbs-up with a sad smile.

It didn't feel like the response that she would be alright.

Especially if she wanted to look around the Pizza Plex on her own.

Fortunately, Melody came to her, patting Augustina on the back. The two of them seemed to give each other a wordless agreement and walked away together. Once they passed through us while the girls clamored in excitement, Elena joined the two with Gregory soon following behind them.

The rest was hearing the girls' chatter as Freddy called for their attention to follow us.

Elena's POV

I was surprised that neither Augustina nor Melody said a single word as I followed them mindlessly to one of the office rooms. Gregory seemed to notice since he wasn't smiling the whole time. I wondered what Neptune would think about this since he returned to me, but he didn't say anything yet.

Augustina was quiet, not making a single peep. It was clear she was flustered from the little tiff back there. It gave me the impression that she felt ashamed of making herself look like a fool in front of her sorority girls.

Meanwhile, Melody had been keeping to herself. She wasn't trying to act tough or the same determination she had that got her bouncing on her heels. Whenever I caught a look at her expression, she was…stoic.

I would have thought that she was becoming more serious, but seeing the usually excitable Melody acting grimly was frightening.

Something was telling me that she wasn't being herself.

We eventually arrived at a mint green security office room. There wasn't a clear instruction of what to do. Augustina pulled out a chair and collapsed on it, sighing loudly. Melody just opted to stand up straight with a blank look. Meanwhile, me and Gregory took our seats on the other side of the table.

The mint green walls seemed to have an effect. Away from the noisy girls and the bright pink, it gave me time to recollect my thoughts. It was the same for Augustina who rubbed her eyes several times, trying to process everything that happened minutes ago.

I sensed a little of the ghosts residing with Augustina and Melody through Neptune. I couldn't tell, but Ruth and Iodine didn't seem to be in talking mood. Neptune himself stayed silent. I tried sending a mental message to him why, but he seemed to feel less engaged with the potential topic between me and the security guards at the moment.

There was another ten seconds of radio silence between us until one of us dared to speak.

"Well…this is awkward," stated Gregory.

Melody nodded in agreement.

"No crap," muttered Augustina.

I raised an eyebrow. "Is there a reason why we came all this way here?"

"No, no. You didn't have to follow me. I was just needing a space to think and…"

Melody sighed. "Well, it is indeed awkward. With those girls, of course."

I didn't really get it. Sure, it was awkward, but it was only a small moment and the girls shrugged it off.

"Not really," I said. "It didn't grow too worse. The girls appear a little eccentric and…excessive. But they are kinda nice-"

"Elena, just don't say that kind of thing," growled Augustina, shaking her head. "I was suddenly in there trying to speak my mind and now it's going to blow at any time. I don't care if it's 'small'. They heard it and they might…" She stopped herself, closing her eyes shut. Frustration wrinkled her face before she opened her eyes solemnly. "I-I'm sorry, everyone. Sorry, Ruth. I-I'm not adjusted with my fellow roommates."

By the sound of it, it didn't seem like Augustina did not have a good relationship with her sorority. However, she and Cassandra appeared to have some trust, given that the latter appeared sorry for the awkward turn of events. Before I could ask again, I remembered what Augustina told me before.

"I just wonder why I have to get into the way of people who think that I can't really do well. It's like…they don't trust you on what you really want to show them. But this job might be the case. No one else has ever done something like this before."

And I was starting to wonder if her sorority looked down on her multiple times before.

Gregory seemed to catch on to this. "So it wasn't easy living with them?"

Augustina was about to speak, but she took the time to think. Any signs of agitation slowly disappeared and provided a softer look. After a few seconds, she was able to explain properly.

"Well…you can say that," she mumbled. "I just…don't really like how they act and behave like entitled princesses. Their antics I can deal with, but they appear intimidating. Ruth did…tell me that I should try talking to them more, but…I guess I got caught up in this job that I feel more comfortable here than with them. I-I couldn't help blurting out what I think of them…it's not easy giving them a chance magically or wondering how I should fit right back in with them…."

I hummed. Now that was what I was getting out of here. So it was like she was uncertain about them and while she might have known them for a while, it was as if she was at the start of her relationship with them. And she was more attached to the Pizza Plex or one of us.

"Hey," said Melody, gently patting Augustina's shoulder. "It's…not your fault you say things like that."

"Doesn't excuse that I have been judgy on them."

"Well, at least…the girls didn't retaliate, right?" asked Melody, putting back on a hopeful smile. "At least they aren't bullies. So it seems like they would get over what you accidentally say quickly. No need to fret."

"You were involved in asking further and you barely showed any emotion," I pointed out.

Melody cleared her throat. "Well, yeah, but I just…thought about it. Yes."

I nodded quietly, not sure what to ask next about this. Well, it could have been worse. Remember when I said at the start that there were three types of people? The manipulative, greedy ones, the insane ones and the misguided ones. I would nearly label Augustina's sorority roommates as insane, but they seemed a little misguided.

I thought back to how they appeared and I would have to admit they look strong in numbers. Yet, I couldn't say the same thing about feeling intimidated by them, especially since I showed off a little anger when one girl told me that Augustina was 'dramatic'. The girls might appear snobby and reckless, but maybe they might be misguided.

I could be wrong if they turned out to bully other students.

Melody cracked a smile, nearly forced. "So…think one of the girls will have her head in Freddy's jaw?"

Gregory looked worried. "Really?"

"I'm just kidding ya! It's a joke." Her smile dropped. "But seriously, you don't think any of those girls would have their heads…in an animatronic jaw?"

Augustina lifted her head up, confused. "No. They may be airheaded, but they are not that dumb. Most of them are smart."

I sighed in relief. "Well, at least they have common sense."

That was when I realized something.

Melody was the first to point out the possibility of any of the girls getting harmed by an animatronic.

I didn't say that. And I was referring more to spots we deemed dangerous from last night.

Alarm bells were ringing for Gregory as well.

"Melody?" he asked. "Is anything alright?"

"I'm all good," said Melody, her smile returning. "Why?"

"Is there something…you want to share as well?"

All eyes were on Melody, expecting an answer. But surprisingly, she shrugged with a simple response.

"It's all good, guys," she said. "If there's anything on my mind, then I'll really tell you. You don't have to worry about me now."

I got a bad feeling about this. This wasn't the excitable Melody for sure. She was hiding something. And her voice felt a little flat at the moment. It didn't carry as much passion as I remembered from her. For some reason, it made me feel…sad for her.

However, I shouldn't press further since it might not be easy for her. Gregory stood up, but I placed my hand on his shoulder. I could only give him an understanding look saying 'let it go'. The young boy frowned before drooping his shoulders and sitting back down.

Augustina didn't seem to pay that much attention to Melody's strange change, her mind still back on her sorority.

"Do you think…?" She paused, averting her eyes away. "I'm…that dramatic?"

"Augustina, no, you're not," reassured Melody.

Augustina sniffed, rubbing her nose. She turned to me and Gregory, expecting an answer from any of us. Before I could say the same thing too, since I freaked out a little when hearing the girls crashing in for the night, Gregory was the first to talk.

"Well, it seems that everyone's here is dramatic," he said, crossing his arms. "It's not exactly a good thing. That I know and I'm scared as well. And is there anything else we also want to say?"

Melody's eyes were trembling like they struggled to maintain confident eye contact.

I tried giving my advice. "Look, dramatic or not, we just have to know what we would want to do to help your friends out there. I'm scared too and repressed a lot so I won't become overdramatic. Besides, you're not acting dramatic, Augustina."

Augustina gave me a look, uncertain about taking me seriously. Knowing how much I made a big deal with Fazbear Entertainment's past, I felt a little sheepish. Eventually, what was told got through to her since she didn't argue. She rubbed her eyes to wipe away any forming tears, putting on a sad smile.

"Yeah, it's not exactly a good thing," she said. "I just hope Cassandra and the rest know what they're doing."

Something came to mind. They wouldn't be able to know about the secrets of the Pizza Plex as Freddy, Roxy and Chica had their eyes on them. But they would know about the ghosts we have that gave us powers. While me and Augustina agreed not to tell anyone about our powers, her worry about her words got me thinking of what might happen when…

"What do you think the girls would do when they find out we have ghosts around?" I asked fearfully. "Will they…think we're-?"

Augustina shook her head. "I don't think they'll reject us. Maybe it would be a headache if they admire it, but I…don't think they fully understand. That's the thing that gets me afraid for tonight."

Gregory nodded. "I'm starting to see this now."

Melody hummed, briefly looking around the room. She was trying to find a situation since things didn't seem to be looking up for anyone. Eventually, a lightbulb came over her head, returning the confident and cheerful smile I knew. Renewed with energy, she leaned close to Augustina, flexing her fingers.

"Yo, buddy," she said. "Doesn't mean that we can still use our powers to save them if the toy freaks come to get them."

Augustina couldn't help but chuckle. "I saved Ross from splattering against the sign earlier."

"How about this? Maybe we can practice our powers just in case? I mean, we weren't able to have a training session earlier."

At this, lightning sparkles sprouted out from the palm of Melody's hand. Eying the glow gave Augustina the idea to try them out now while they still could.

"Sure then," she said, not looking glum anymore. "I would like to do so."

Melody grinned, glad that Augustina was happy again. "Great! Say, Elena. Think of joining in?"

I shook my head. "No, thank you. I don't think I'll rely on my power for long. Besides, the bigger Party Room feels much safer and you two have a job to do."

"Well, I kind of like to meet up with Freddy again soon," added Gregory. "He's looking out for Augustina's friends, right?"

Melody looked a little disappointed. "That's fair enough."

Augustina didn't seem to mind. "Sure, why not?"

As me and Gregory were already making our way to the door, Vanessa appeared to us, flashlight in hand.

"Anything going on in here?" she asked.

"No, you just arrived at the end of it," said Gregory. "Me and Elena are going to meet back with the Glamrocks."

"Ah, right on time," said Vanessa. "Make sure to keep an eye on those girls. I don't want any of them touching the other rooms."

Well, what could possibly go wrong with this?

"Now, remember," Vanessa continued sternly. "Like last night, I'll be going back to the underground section for my other job. I learnt my lesson from last time, so I'll be careful. The rest of you, watch out for anything, alright?"

Without thinking it through, I automatically answered with a 'yes' and walked passed her. I did remember she was found in the closed elevator shaft. However, given that she had the power to care for that many girls for the night, that could mean she wouldn't fall into the same mistakes. I trusted her since she knew much of the place's history.

Meanwhile, Gregory was a different story. Looking back at him, he appeared wary. I'm guessing he was a little comfortable about what Vanessa would be doing. I wanted to tell him that we shouldn't worry…but I couldn't really confirm if we were truly safe or not.

I remained silent, letting the worried Gregory keep glancing back at Vanessa.

Just before we took a turn, I looked back at Vanessa one last time. A smile was slowly forming on her face with a look of nostalgia. Augustins and Melody were already having fun with their impromptu training session. To say that they could bounce quickly was a big understatement since from their conversation, they sounded like they were having…fun.

Augustina already had her legs on the table, lifting her hands up in a pink aura. A couple of folders were flying around her head. Melody was laughing away, probably at a joke one of them made. She was randomly flickering away the floating folders, using an electricity sparkle to send them flying in the other direction. It was equivalent to having a break in an office's day.

I smiled, mirroring Vanessa's warm smile. At least they found a way to cheer themselves up in the end.

"Um…Elena?" said Neptune's voice in my head. "You can hear me?"

"...yes?" I muttered to myself.

"Sorry for not…saying anything. You know, I'm too old to be included in this and I don't really know how it feels to be-"

"It's alright, Neptune," I said. "They are alright now."

"Well…it's good that you did try to help Augustina a little with getting comfortable. It's a tense night, but she'll need it since her friends are staying here as well."

I nodded to myself. "Yeah, I hope that it'll remain that way."

AN: Well, tonight isn't going to go well for anyone at all.

This is long overdue to get Roxanne Wolf another POV moment. It felt so long so I decided to come back to her since it felt like the right time to look through her thoughts after being confident so far. A slight hint of subtle character development, especially to how she came to both Chica's and Freddy's aid.

I think from here, this would be where we start to see the Glamrock Animatronics' vices coming to play as they start stressing out. While I'm unsure how much I'll concentrate on those vices, it'll be noteworthy.

There's a reference to the BuzzFeed Multiplayer video 'Blaidd Reacts to Elden Ring Tweets' and 'I, Animatronic: A Security Breach Story' by Saria Skye. This comes in the form of an animatronic saying 'I'm not a furry, but I find you hot'. And that is coming from the mouth of sweet, innocent Glamrock Freddy!

And for those wondering about what the girls would do with the animatronic, no. We're NOT gonna have any robot/human sex here. Outside the jokes, not even sexual touching will be included. This is a T-rated story! I don't care if using that would skyrocket my story to a million views. Besides, it's a classic cliche of horror movies where lusty teenagers want to get boned, so I'm avoiding using it straight.

I feel like this night would call back to Augustina's relationship with her sorority. While not hostile, it's clear she's uncomfortable yet desires a belonging with them. This could be nearly said the same for Cassandra having second thoughts about coming over. How this will end will be seen soon.
