Chapter 26 Through the looking….Crystal?

"vhy? Is Ensign Gayla just sitting there holding that Crystal toward you, Kepitain?"

"I was coming to that, just before the good doctor distracted me. Thank you, Mr. Chekhov."

Jim said, smiling at Chekhov. While looking at Scotty and Lieut. Urhura.

Jim took the crystal from Gala.

"This." Jim said indicating the crystal. "Can work in conjunction with the thought viewer. Think of it is a recording device you can if you have the sigh ability or are practiced with the enhancers." He said, gloves and facemask. You Can use the machine to record whatever thoughts you want to share with others and use the machine to let others view them like an old 20th century video camera, or holo- vid but with your thoughts. You record what you want to show on to the crystal. Depending on your psi-ability you can simply will it on to the crystal or use the machine. The crystals aren't always necessary. You can link directly with the machine. If you have the psi-ability by placing your palm on the lit panel." Jim demonstrated by doing so. Suddenly they were treated to an image of a striking man with waist length long dark hair complicatedly woven around a silver circlet with intricately delicate filigree that formed a V shape whose point rested directly between his arching eyebrows on which set a large purple jewel. His glossy black hair was braided so that you could not see the tips of his pointed ears from the angle of the view. However, the circlet seems to draw your attention to the arched eyebrows and those sharp eyes. Everyone in the room was aware that his eyes were brown but the way the piercing gaze took in whomever they were looking at which obviously was from Kirk's perspective. They looked black as pitch even in the red hued light. That glinted off his strange body armor. It appeared to be black and formfitting. However, it had a shiny reflective quality to it. Maybe that's why it took a minute to realize that the armor did not cover more than the shoulders. His arms were bare from shoulder to wrist, covered in beautiful swirling lines. The markings were obviously tribal. The clothing had the look of some sort of medieval leather armor, but obviously wasn't. Around his waist was a wide belt that came to point over his groin. Off of which hung several weapons. You could see the purple of the hood and cloak thrown over one shoulder. The body armor was made so that it was impossible to discern. If it was one or two pieces. It seemed the leggings went directly into strange boots that looked impossibly tight but were gilded in the same silver- like trim of the belt and circlet. Just behind his left elbow was a woman with identical shiny black hair, but her features were less stern and more pixie soft. It was obvious that they had similar eyes although hers seemed somehow softer, yet you could still see the hardness of experience when you looked in her face. She was definitely still very beautiful even though she had a jagged scar down the left side of her face. She wore a version of the shiny body armor; the only difference was she was also wrapped in gold gossamer like material that seemed to be floating in the breeze. She had one hand on the shoulder of a dark-haired girl standing just in front of her beside the man. The dark-haired girl had that same piercing gaze as the man only where his gaze was pitch black. Hers was a dazzling blue, framed by thick lashes that you could see even from afar angle of the picture or holo- or whatever. Her hair was also done up and intricate braids around a similar circlet that seemed slightly more feminine in design with its two rows of silver filigree studded with purple flowers across in a similar V-shaped fashion with the same purple jewel. Resting between her eyebrows. Her hair unlike the man's. Where his hair flowed freely after a certain point down his back and over his ears. The dark-haired girls Continued in intricate braid patterns with silver tensile wire, or something woven through the braids. Pulled tight in a practically aggressive manner. So that her ears were plainly visible, defiantly so. With a certain tilt to her chin. And the definitely recognizable quirk on her lips that were a blood red giving her an ethereal quality, between her moonlight skin with its light green sheen at odds with the obvious red hued desert background that had to be Vulcan. She too had tattoos. However, hers were mainly around wrist and forearms. She also wore the same purple cloak slung over her shoulder situated showing she too was wearing weapons, one hand curled as if she was itching to grab what appeared to be a rope hanging from her waist. Her other arm was slung around the hips of the blonde girl dressed similarly with the same markings and intricately braided hair. Though, this girl wore no circlet. She did wear some sort of thick chain about her neck sporting another one of those purple jewels. She was just as striking and ethereal beauty, with her extraordinarily green colored eyes, as though someone had actually melted emeralds to color her eyes, with her literal Sunkist skin that looked as though it was actually reflecting the light giving her skin a sparkle and the truly white-blonde hair that most children grow out of. The contrast between the two girls was truly breathtaking with brilliant green eyes that almost seemed to glow with the intensity of her gaze. She had her head cocked and you can see that she was clearly keeping one eye on the girl whose arm was wound around her waist. If you look closely, you can see that one of their hands was atop the other. And she to looked like she was really, really wishing to reach for the ropelike thing at her waist. On the other side of the blonde girl with a hand on her shoulder was a man with a very familiar face only this face had a goatee and shoulder length hair. However, you could not miss the severely put-upon expression.

Everybody took all of this and within a minute or two. Then someone broke the moment by saying "a McCoy with a beard? Wow. And shoulder length hair to."

That might've been Sulu and Chekhov.

There was a soft. That's your Lord Spock?" That was Urhura. Kirk was sure. Probably directed at Riley or Gayla. Before they can answer. Though there was another voice. That broke Kirk out of his daze. When he heard Sarek say roughly "Amanda."

There was sudden quiet.

Kirk shook his head. Jerking his hand off the sensor.

"Fuck! I'm sorry… I'm so sorry I didn't mean for that… I was just trying to demonstrate… That's why I'm going to use the crystal. The direct link good for some things but… Harder to control random thoughts when out of practice. I'm so sorry, Sarek. We were or rather I was speaking of them earlier; and they were

on my mind. it's been a long time since I used this directly. Forgive me…"

Sarek held up a hand.

"Be at ease, James. There is no grievance. It was just a shock. Of course, I'm aware of alternates." he said. Inclining's head towards Selek. "I just never considered seeing one of my Amanda. Which is illogical because I've heard you speak of her."

"Still, I apologize for springing on you like that truly." Kirk said.

"I would know more of her… You said her mate her Sarek is deceased?"

Kirk, considered for a moment. Then shrugged. "He is. he was murdered along with my counterpart and High Queen T'pau."

Everyone looked at each other.

Then they all started talking at once.

"High Queen—

"Was that my daughter covered in tattoos and weapons? —

"The wee dark-haired girl that was your lassie, right?

"Karu… Mester Spock or Lord Spock whatewer looks like the one of those ninjas you're always talking about.

"What happened to the Lady Amanda's face? You said they were technologically advanced so—

"I'm confused. How does the dark-haired girl belong to you and this Lord Spock. I heard you say she was yours, but I thought …/that she has your eyes and she's obviously—
