[I DO NOT AND NEVER WILL OWN TOM AND JERRY]

Chapter 6: Lickboot's Plan

The next day, Lickboot telephoned Figg and Jeannie from his office in the city, with some very bad news.

"No more money?!" Figg exclaimed, both shocked and devastated.

"Without proof that Robyn's been well cared for, we can't touch another penny of her father's money." Lickboot told her.

"Not good," muttered Jeannie under her breath.

"Don't talk foolishness, Lickboot." Figg said. "Can't you do something… devious?" She chuckled as she sat down on her deckchair. "I'm sure if you put your mind to it, you can be really sleazy." she added.

"Why thank you, Pristine." Lickboot said over the phone. "But suppose we get her back," he added, "and the little brat tells Daddy Starling why she ran away?"

"He makes a good point, you know." said Jeannie.

"Who he's gonna believe; an over emotional whining distraught little girl, or me, her warm loving concerned nanny?" Figg said.

"He'd believe Robyn?" Jeannie asked.

"That was a rhetorical question!" Figg snapped at Jeannie.

"Sorry I asked." Jeannie muttered under her breath.

"Now do something!" Figg snapped at Lickboot through the phone. "I mean lie, cheat, steal; corrupt a government! Do anything to get that money, you nerdy nitwit!"

"Oh, well, that's easy." Lickboot said." A reward."

"A reward?" said Figg and Jeannie, at the same time.

"Yes." Lickboot said, a smug grin on his face. "People will do anything for money."

"Oh, don't I know." Figg said.

"So, Lickboot, what exactly did you have in mind?" Jeannie asked.

"It's simple." said Lickboot. "We offer a reward for her; someone will turn her in. A big reward."

"How much, a big reward?" Jeannie asked.

"We'll offer… Say, a million dollars." Lickboot said.

"But we don't have a million dollars!" Figg protested.

"I know." Lickboot said proudly. "That's why it's so sleazy."

Immediately, Figg realized what Lickboot's plan was - they would offer a million dollar reward for Robyn that they would have no intention of paying, all so that some gullible moron would find Robyn, and thus, bring her back to them, then Figg would keep Robyn locked up in her attic bedroom, so she would never ever see her father again.

"Oh, I love it when you talk like that." she said evilly.

'Oh, I don't like where this is going.' Jeannie muttered under her breath.

Later, Figg & Lickboot went to a milk factory, and Figg had Robyn's picture and the fake million dollar reward put on milk cartons. Figg & Lickboot each picked up those cartons with evil glee.

"This will get her back!" Figg chuckled evilly.

MEANWHILE,

In the mountains of Tibet, Robyn's father, Michael Starling, had heard via his plane's radio that Robyn had ran away, and he was very concerned.

"If Robyn's in trouble," he muttered, "there's only one place she'll go."

He turned his plane around, and headed off back to the aircraft hangar, to get a helicopter to fly him back to America to find his daughter.
