[I DO NOT & NEVER WILL OWN TOM & JERRY, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH]

Chapter 8: The Chase

When Figg, Lickboot, Jeannie and Ferdinand arrived at Captain Kiddie's carnival, it didn't take them long to find Captain Kiddie, the owner of the carnival.

"Where is the girl?" Figg asked him.

"We wants to see the money, honey. Argh!" said Captain Kiddie's puppet parrot, Squawk. [Even Jeannie was bewildered how Cpatain Kiddie's puppet could actually speak on it's own.]

"Only after I see Robyn." Figg said firmly.

At that moment, the Straycatchers arrived.

"You're too late, boys!" Figg said in a mocking voice. She turned to Captain Kiddie with a face like thunder, and said to him, "Where's the little brat?"

"She's safe and sound on the Ferris Wheel." Captain Kiddie said, motioning to said ferris wheel.

Suddenly, the Straycatchers recognized her place.

"There she is!" said one of them.

"The million dollar kid!" the other Straycatcher said. "We're rich!"

They ran past Figg, eager to get the million dollar bounty first.

"STOP THEM!" Figg yelled.

Lickboot and Captain Kiddie ran past, knocking Figg over to the ground. Jeannie helped Figg up, and joined her in the chase to reach Robyn. "I miss doing my babysitting job." Jeannie sighed to the viewers. "It involved a lot less in chasing runaway kids."

By this time, Tom & Jerry had found Robyn, and rescued her from the ferris wheel that Captain Kiddie had trapped her on, and trapped the Straycatchers in her place.

"Uh-oh!" said Jerry. "Don't look now, but here comes the dragon lady!"

And he was right - Figg, Jeannie, Captain Kiddie, and Lickboot came up to them.

"Robyn!" said Figg, "Come to your dear Aunt Figg, darling." Then Figg said to Captain Kiddie, Jeannie, and Lickboot, "Spread out and don't let the brat get by you."

Captain Kiddie, Squawk, Jeannie, and Lickboot all spread out.

Jeannie looked at Tom & Jerry. "OK, you two," she said sternly to them, "Hand Robyn to us, or Figg will send you both to the pound!"

"What do we do?" said Robyn.

Tom looked around then sees something. "I'll get us outta here." he said. "Come on!"

Robyn & Tom ran off, whereas Jerry pushed the lever before running off, making the Ferris wheel stop, leaving The Straycatchers up at the top. Robyn, Tom & Jerry raced over to a paddle steamer boat at the pier.

"They're getting away!" Figg yelled.

"There they are, on the pier!" Jeannie yelled, pointing toward the pier where said paddle steamer was.

Robyn, Tom & Jerry scrambled onto the boat. Tom pressed various buttons and levers, hoping that one of them would start the boat.

"Push the red button!" Jerry said. "It's always the red one!"

"I know it!" said Tom crossly. "I was just gonna push it!"

"Tom, Jerry, hurry!" Robyn cried, as she untied the rope holding the boat to the pier, where Figg, Lickboot, Captain Kiddie, and Jeannie ran, toward the paddle steamer.

Tom managed to push the red button, and the Paddle steamer set off down the river.

"Lickboot, get the car! We'll head her off up the river!" Figg shouted.

"Aye! Move it, Captain, move it!" Squawk commanded to Kiddie. "We're in a race for a million!"

"Not to worry," said Captain Kiddie, "this old captain still knows a trick or two."

He climbed down to a small dinghy, and pulled a string, which activates the motor to make it move, and it whizzed across the river, so he could try to ambush Robyn.

By this time, Figg, Lickboot and Jeannie had gotten back into Lickboot's car, so they could chase Robyn, Tom and Jerry. At that moment, Dr. Applecheek turned up, riding an ice-cream cart he'd hijacked from an ice-cream seller in the suburbs.

"You're too late, doc!" Figg laughed, as Lickboot drove off, leaving Dr. Applecheek in the dust.

Oh, what a chase it was!

Lickboot's car raced along the roads recklessly, throwing into near impossible turns. Captain Kiddie bounced along the river in his motorized dinghy, and Dr. Applecheek trundled down the road, far behind, in his stolen ice-cream cart.

Needless to say, Jeannie, who was sitting in the back with Ferdinand, was not enjoying the rough and reckless ride - she was constantly throwing up into a paper bag, due to how the rough ride was making her sick.

"Oh, god." Jeannie groaned, her face now a pale green. "I'd have preferred working in a fast food restaurant over this sickening car chase!"

As Lickboot travelled along the roads, keeping his eye on Robyn and the paddle steamer, Jeannie suddenly called out, "Lickboot, watch the road!"

Lickboot turned back to the road, but by then, It was too late - he missed the turn, broke through a fence, and swerved down towards a farm!

"Oh no! Not again!" Jeannie groaned bumpily, immediately turning as green as Frankie Da Flea, the partner of Puggsy the dog who Tom and Jerry had met very earlier on in the film.

The car swerved toward some clothes on a washing line. The car drove under the washing line, but Ferdinand got caught on it, flung outta the car and dragged along by it. Figg and Lickboot gasped as they headed towards a pigpen. When the pigs in said pigpen saw the car fly into the air, they ran out of the way, just as it landed in the mud. Figg got a pair of underpants on her head. Ferdinand shook the mud off him, and he, Figg, Lickboot and Jeannie look back to see Dr. Applecheek waving goodbye to them from the hole in the fence, and rolled off, in his stolen ice-cream cart.

Jeannie hurled into the pigpen, and lay, slumped on the side of the car, gasping for air. "Teenagers aren't meant for so much torture than this!" Jeannie groaned to the viewers.

"You twit!" snapped Figg as she smacked Lickboot with the underpants. "Get us out of here! They're getting away!"

Lickboot didn't need to be told twice; he revved the car up, spraying mud onto Ferdinand twice, until he got grip, then drove out of the pigpen through a fence, then outta the farm through another fence, and back onto the road. Dr. Applecheek was rolling along the road, when Lickboot's car sped past him. Ferdinand, whose skateboard was still tied to the washing line along with the back of the car's bumper, sent poor Dr. Applecheek and the ice-cream cart into a spin.

"Sorry, Dr. Applecheek!" Jeannie called to the dizzy Dr. Applecheek.

Dr. Applecheek soon regained composure and carried on.

Jeannie called out, "There they are!" Lickboot saw the paddle steamer heading for a bridge, and made the car zoom down the road towards a bridge. As the paddle steamer paddles under the bridge, the car roars up the hill, flew over the top [with Jeannie clinging tightly onto her seatbelt like her life depended on it, which it did], and flew down the other side onto the bridge. dragging poor Ferdinand, and his skateboard on the washing line with it. As the car roared over the bridge, Ferdinand's skateboard ploughed through the bridge like a water-skier, breaking all the wooden planks off it, and the car carried on over the other side of the bridge.

Now.

That aforementioned scene above was where Cpatain Kiddie, Squawk and Dr. Applecheek would soon meet their demises, but we're not focusing on them anymore for a while, so let's skip ahead with the story, shall we?

After all, Figg, Jeannie, Ferdinand, and Lickboot are the main characters of this story, as well as Robyn, Tom, Jerry, and her father, Michael Starling.

By now, Robyn, Tom, and Jerry were heading to Robyn's Nest, the place Robyn told Tom & Jerry about when they first met her.

At this point, Lickboot and Figg were still driving along the road by the river, with Ferdinand and his skateboard still trailing behind by the washing line. They zoom past an intersection, when suddenly, Lickboot stopped the car. Ferdinand was sent flying through the air and landed at the back, next to a very surprised Jeannie. Lickboot suddenly reversed back to the intersection and look at the signposts.

"Aha! Of course!" Lickboot said.

"Lickboot, what are you doing?!" Figg snapped angrily at Lickboot. "You're gonna lose them!"

"Why have we stopped now, Lickboot?" Jeannie asked impatiently. "You're gonna let them get away!"

"Don't worry, you two." Lickboot said. "Now I know where they're going. We're taking a shortcut."

He backed the car up.

"You know where they're going?" Figg said to Lickboot suddenly in surprise.

"How do you know?" Jeannie asked.

"Lawyers know everything." Lickboot said proudly, as his car sped off down the road to which the sign says 'Robyn's Nest'.
