[i do not and never ever ever will own tom & jerry]
CHAPTER 10: A New Home
Once it was safe to land, Jeannie, Robyn, and Michael Starling all came down onto the dock. Robyn hugged her father in sadness.
"Oh, Daddy, they're gone! My best friends are gone!" Robyn cried.
"Don't cry, Robyn." Michael Starling said, comforting his daughter. "We'll find them."
"Yeah," said Jeannie, "I'm sure they haven't gone too far."
They stared at the wreckage of the cabin, with furniture and wood littering the water. Air bubbles appear in the water and Tom emerges, gasping for air. then, he went, "Oh, Jerry! Jerry, where are ya?!"
He frantically searched the wreckage, unaware that Jerry was on the fallen stairs to the cabin behind him.
"Oh, don't leave me, little buddy!" he panted. "You just gotta be here! What would I do without ya? You were the best pal a guy could ever have. Oh, please be alive. I promise ya, uh, uh..."
"All the cheese I can eat?" Jerry said.
"All the cheese you can eat!" said Tom. "And, uh..."
"And no more traps?" said Jerry.
"no more traps." said Tom.
"And no tricks?" said Jerry.
"No tricks." Tom said.
"That's a promise?" Jerry asked.
"That's a..." Tom Started, but then he stopped, and looked back to see Jerry behind him on a piece of the roof, alive. Immediately, he felt real mad that he'd begged and pleaded for nothing. "Oh, I'm gonna..." he said as he grabbed Jerry. "Why you little...!"
"Tom! Jerry! You're safe!" Robyn cried.
She rans onto the bank, followed by Jeannie, and Tom and Jerry run from the water towards her.
"Robyn!" Tom said, as Robyn hugged him and Jerry.
"Tom, Jerry, I'm so glad you're alright!" Jeannie said, as she hugged them. "And I am so sorry for how I acted to you, and for falsely arresting you! I knew you were trying to protect that baby from being in danger."
"Yeah, more or less." Tom said. "But it's ok, Jeannie, apology accepted." Jerry said.
Michael Starling came over, hugging Robyn.
"Robyn," he said, "I promise I'll never leave you again." He looked at Tom & Jerry. "And I want to thank you, Tom & Jerry, for helping my daughter."
"Oh, it was nothin'." Tom said.
"We're real sorry about the cabin, though." Jerry said.
They stared at the wreckage of the cabin, with furniture and wood littering the water.
"Don't worry." Michael Starling said, "We can rebuild the cabin, bigger, better than ever before."
"I agree." said Jeannie. "Oh, and Mr. Starling," she added, "there's something I'd like to discuss about Aunt Figg..."
As they walked off, Jerry said to Tom, "I wonder what happened to that dragon lady, her dog, and her boyfriend, anyway."
SOME TIME LATER...
Figg, Lickboot, and Ferdinand had being rescued from the crashed paddle steamer, by the police, and they were in the process of being arrested.
"But officer," Figg protested, "It wasn't my fault! I was just showing my concern for my poor distraught little niece!"
"A likely story!" said the police officer, as he read out her & Lickboot's charges, "Confirmed child abuse, treating a child like a hostage, trying to exploit her for money, and creating a phony reward money scam. All that's a guaranteed life sentence in bars."
"Officer, how did you know about the fake million dollar bounty?" Lickboot asked.
"My niece Jeannie told me." said a familiar voice to Figg, who turned and saw where it came from - the same patrolman who had once found Robyn and brought her to Figg. "She telephoned me and she and Michael Starling explained what happened."
Figg's blood boiled at the mention of Jeannie, and the fact that Jeannie was the patrolman's niece.
He looked at Figg disdainfully. "And here i thought you were a nice person." he turned to the officer. "Cuff'em." he said.
"That horrible little spoiled brat!" Figg snapped angrily, as she and Lickboot were handcuffed, and shoved in a police van. Ferdinand was stuffed into a carrier, and put into the police van also. "I will get my revenge on those meddlesome animals, that brat Robyn Starling and that horrible ex-babysitter if it's the last thing I do!"
So, what happened after the story?
Robyn's father called off the fake reward, and he had Lickboot fired as his lawyer.
Lickboot and Figg were both given a life sentence in prison for child abuse, exploiting Robyn for money, and setting up a fake reward. And Figg's dog Ferdinand was sent to the dog pound, and he became an easy target for the beastly street dog [the same one that chased Tom at the beginning of the movie, who, for no reason, had ended up there too].
Jeannie's heroics were rewarded with praise and cheers from the college, and she was given the offer of being a babysitter again.
But She turned it down, deciding she was gonna be a patrolwoman, like her Uncle Tino.
[BTW, the Patrolman's name is based on the name of his voice actor, Tino Insana.]
Robyn's father then put his family's money into account with a new, nicer, kinder lawyer, who also helped to fund to rebuild the cabin and enlisted that Aunt Figg's mansion and property was to be given to Robyn and her father, and also funded for a new home for Tom & Jerry, the ones who saved Robyn, and reunited her with her dad.
And Tom and Jerry?
Well, they moved into a new villa given to them by Robyn's dad's new lawyer, a short trip from the mansion.
But, no sooner was Robyn outta the room, Tom & Jerry went back to their usual chasing ways.
and that was the way they enjoyed it!
