Five Years Later After Chapter One...

At first, all was quiet as sunlight shone through the trees on a glorious day. But then, the sound of screaming suddenly broke the silence before a group of three young lemurs raced by with a large bluish-green scaled dinosaur chasing after them, roaring as it did so. The lemurs screeched as they ducked into a hollowed out log. One lemur jumped in, just in time as the dinosaur tried to follow them inside their hiding place.

They raced out of the other end of the log with the dinosaur leaping over it and continuing to chase after them. Without skipping a beat, the trio jumped across several large stones in a creek, with the dinosaur doing the same. The lemurs quickly crossed a fallen tree that provided a bridge that had fallen across a very deep trench in the ground. Even though it was much larger and heavier, the log bridge did not give way or break apart.

Two lemurs then leapt off of the log, but the last one was suddenly snapped up in the dinosaur's mouth while the two other lemurs scrambled up to a branch. They nervously glanced back in time to see the other lemur's tail wiggling about with its owner still inside the dinosaur's mouth. Then the large reptile suddenly slurped the tail up into its mouth like spaghetti. Naturally, the two other lemurs whimpered in fear as the dinosaur's head came into view.

The dinosaur in question was none other than a male Iguanodon. It growled loudly at them and again the lemurs then trembled in fear and whimpered as they prepared to meet their end. Once again, the dinosaur snarled at them. Suddenly, they heard the third lemur's voice, a female one, coming from inside the Iguanodon's mouth. "Let me out! Let me out!" its owner said from inside the Iguanodon's mouth before slowly prying it open.

The reptile suddenly spat her out and the saliva-drenched lemur landed on one of the tree's root before he started gagging and spitting. "Hairball!" the Iguanodon coughed as he tried to spit the taste of the young primate out of his mouth. "That was great! Get 'im!" said the young female lemur. Laughing playfully they jumped at him. As you may have guessed by now, the trio and their larger companion had only been playing a simple game of "Get Away From Lemur-Eating Predators".

I'm sure that you have also guessed that the grown male Iguanodon was, in fact, Aladar himself, the same hatchling that arrived on the island five years ago, was now all grown-up. The young dinosaur had lived happily alongside the lemurs for five years. Over the course of that time, Jack, the Fiery Five, along with the rest of the Northlanders and Multiverse Heroes had visited him and the lemurs, often to help with taking care of Aladar.

Said dinosaur made fake cries of agony as the lemurs jumped onto him "Oh no! Attacking lemurs! Suri, please! I can't take it! There are too many of you! Come on! Pick on someone your own size!" he laughed, playing along with Suri, who happens to be Plio's new daughter. Nearby in the bushes, Plio was walking by when she heard the commotion. Peeking out from behind some large plants, she watched Aladar slump to the ground, playing along with young lemurs, pretending to get hurt by them.

She chuckled to herself as she continued to watch them play together, enjoying their antics. "Oh no," groaned Aladar, still playing along as the young trio jumped up and down on his belly, before he flopped his head down onto and lay still, tongue dangling from his mouth. "Aladar," said Suri, creeping forward slightly, "you're not dead," she continued, not buying his act.

"NO!" Aladar replied suddenly, surprising them. Suri let out a small scream of surprise before she and the other two lemurs all laughed. "All right, guys, break it up," Plio said, approaching them whilst carrying a bouquet of tropical flowers. "Remember the courtship? You're gonna be seeing all that smooching," said Plio, with a smug smile. "Oh, Mom," groaned Suri as did her friends, clearly finding the topic both disgusting and annoying.

"That's okay, Plio," said Aladar, holding up his left foot so that she could sit on it. "We can smooch right here" He leaned forward and suddenly started making kissing noises at the young lemurs who let out screams of surprise once again before they ran off laughing. Plio sighed and turned to look at Aladar. "It's a shame you don't like kids," she said with a knowing smile.

"Nasty little vermin," said Aladar, but Plio rolled her eyes and chuckled as she knew that he was only joking and gave a sarcastic "Ha ha" in response. "Go find Zini. He's rehearsing pickup lines," she said. "Let's hope he's found some new materials. And while you're at it, get the others as well," Plio added, hopping onto the tree branch as Aladar got up and stretched.

At the beach, the Fiery Five, Northlanders, Multiverse Heroes and the Mane Seven were enjoying themselves immensely. Tyne, Tyson, Frost, Tobern, Kargo, Blue and White Tip were relaxing while Pinkie Pie, Sparx, and Tails were building a sand castle. Spyro, Cynder, Ribo and Cyra were playfully chasing each other around the beach, running past Pod on more than one occasion, who was walking around the beach looking for dead fish while Sonic, Knuckles, Shadow and Silver were playing two-a-side volleyball with some coconuts.

Sally, Amy, Blaze, Rouge and Cream were splashing water at each other while the rest of the heroes lay on the beach, soaking up the heat from the sun in their swimsuits. Yang, Rarity and Spike were resting under the shade on their towels, sipping coconut drinks. Blake was busy practicing her meditation while Hunter and Wiess were practicing their swordsmanship with some thrusts and stabs.

"Ahh… you smell that?" asked Ruby. "The salty sea air, the fresh breeze, and the scent of flowers? It's paradise," she added with a sigh. "Oh yeah, I would definitely take this place as my new vacation spot," agreed Rainbow. Nearby, Zack was lying in the sun next to his girlfriend, Georgina, and William and Twilight were studying some of the island's native plants and berries and jotting down notes.

On another part of the beach, Applejack, Ryan, Starlight and Shard were playing frisbee with each other. When either the orange earth pony or pink unicorn launched it at them, the dragon or lion cub made a perfect catch or another dazzling maneuver as they caught it each time. After catching it for the fourth time, he noticed that he had landed near Crusher who was lying in the sun alongside Rexy and Broken Jaw.

A cheeky grin appeared on their faces, before the purple dragon and wild cat went over to speak to him. "Hey, Crusher, old buddy. You want to play some frisbee with us?" Ryan asked slyly. The dark blue T-Rex opened one eye and glared up at him. "Do I look like a dog to either of you two?" came the dry reply in a deep baritone tone. Rexy and Broken Jaw opened their own right eyes to watch the proceedings with interest.

"Just asking a polite question, but if you really want to…" said Shard, deliberately trailing off the end of his sentence for comedic effect. "Not in a million years. Now, go away. You're disturbing me," said Crusher, closing his one open eye, and ending the conversation therewith. Ryan and Shard looked at each other, shrugged and walked back to Applejack and Starlight.

They both knew full well that Crusher could have a hot temper when he was disturbed or annoyed and it was an extremely smart idea not to make him mad. But they also knew that deep down Crusher had a heart of gold and considered the others his family. Nevertheless, the pair weren't going to allow it to ruin their fun and they had soon resumed playing frisbee with Applejack and Starlight. Near the trees, Yang had picked a coconut from one of them and was trying to open it.

"Hmm," the girl said to herself, thinking. Normally her shotgun gauntlets would provide when dealing with such a problem, but the blonde also knew when to apply a more delicate approach. Looking around, she spotted a sharp rock nearby. A metaphorical lightbulb lit up above Yang's head as an idea hit her and she quickly bent down and picked up the rock. Taking hold of it in her hand with the sharp end pointing down, she tried to break open the coconut with it.

She tried this for a few moments before pulling back to see what happened. There was a small gouge from the initial point of penetration of the tip of the rock that had cut into the skin of the fruit, but nothing more or less. When the Huntress saw this, she frowned and began stabbing it with the stone harder and faster. Even with the effort that she was putting in, Yang saw that she was still not having any luck. Now she was getting frustrated and once again attacked it to get at the juice inside.

Luckily for her, Kujenga saw this and walked up to her friend. "What in the wide worlds of the multiverse are you doing, Yang?" the lioness asked. "Trying to stab into this thing so I can drink the juice out," the girl answered. "Um, you know that it doesn't always work out that way, right?" Kujenga ventured. "Then this thing is WORTHLESS! Like that phony alarm clock I made the mistake of buying for me and the girls," said Yang crossly, glaring down at the rock.

(FLASHBACK)

Yang was sleeping on the bunk bed she shared with Blake in Team RWBY's room at Beacon Academy. The quartet were snoozing quietly away with the alarm clock perched on the desk between their beds. Suddenly, when it hit seven o'clock, the alarm went off, and sounded like someone yelling, or rather screaming, at the top of their lungs in a foreign language. Blake's eyes shot open and she let out a loud screech like a cat would when startled.

Also like a feline, she jumped upwards and slammed her entire body into the underside of Yang's level which in turn caused the blonde to also let out a yell of surprise which in turn set off both Ruby and Weiss who both jumped and fell onto the floor. The younger Schee sister had the rather unfortunate prospect of having her younger silver-eyed companion and team leader land on top of her, grabbing her weapon on the way down, with the same thing happening to Blake and Yang.

If it had been a normal group of girls then the situation probably would have ended there, but as Team RWBY were anything but normal, I'm sorry to say that it didn't. Ruby, who was known for her somewhat hyperactive personality, accidentally folded her scythe into its gun mode. Also because of her high strung attitude, her second finger was far more than what you or I would describe as being "trigger happy" and for the next few moments, the room was filled with a combination of loud shots and screams as the other girls tried to dodge them.

When things died down, and the smoke cleared, several blast marks could be seen scattered around the room. There was a loud creaking noise before both of the bunk beds fell down, sending up dust clouds as they did so while a picture fell off the wall. Coughs were heard as the girls each held one hand in front of their mouths, whilst trying to fan away the dust with their off ones.

Ruby was still sitting on Weiss's back while her sister was lying on top of Blake. Silence reigned for a moment as they took in their surroundings. Then there came a small crash as the alarm clock that Yang had brought landed on the floor between them, its face now broken, arms bent, springs sticking out, the bells on top dented from every which way while small cogs and screws bounced out.

(END OF FLASHBACK)

Yang winced at both what had come next and the memory before she turned to Kujenga, who had rolled her eyes. "What? I SAID that I was sorry." "Yang, from what I was told, it took the four of you nearly a MONTH to fix the damage done to your room by Ruby," the lioness ground out. She snorted. "Damage that your clock caused! Do you even remember how many favors you had to ask? That explosion was even bigger than one of Sniffer's big sneezes!"

"I didn't know it was gonna cause Blake to go off half cocked! I thought the vendor guy was bluffing!" "Well, it turns out that he WASN'T!" retorted Kujenga. While this argument was going on, Georgina rose from her spot next to Zack, stretched her limbs, and looked at him lovingly. "You coming in the water with me, handsome?" she asked. Her boyfriend chuckled before replying. "Go ahead, babe. I'll be there in a few minutes."

"Oh please? Just for two minutes?" begged. "Don't worry about it. I just want to enjoy the sun for a little longer first," said Zack. In response Georgina then gave him Bambi eyes in order to try and convince him to come in with her, even letting out a sniff and a whimper for added effect. The dragoness did this nearly every time she tried to convince the green dragon to do something.

But Zack only laughed. "Nice try, 'Gina, but those eyes aren't gonna work on me this time." Georgina sighed. "Alright, have it your way. You left me no choice," she said, giving him a sly smile before walking towards the water. As she did so, her movements slowly started to become more and more seductive the closer she got. Of course, Zack immediately took notice and began to watch. The dragoness stopped at the water's edge before glancing with a seductive look on her face.

For an added effect, she fluttered her eyelids at him. Seeing this little display, Zack's jaw dropped and his eyes widened. Without missing a beat, Georgina waded into the water and, deciding to tease him a little more, shook her hindquarters ever so slightly. Suddenly, she spun around and looked at him before slowly bringing up her right forepaw and, holding up in front of her, before using the second digit on it to make a slow "come hither" motion at him.

Zack's mouth had become a desert. He knew very well that, in her days at the Salty Barracuda, she had deliberately been seductive, but that was just because she was putting on a show for the patrons in order to earn money. Even though his instincts were screaming at him to head on over, he didn't want to give her the pleasure of knowing that she had successfully been able to lure him in or that he had completely fallen for her little performance.

Don't fall for it, don't fall for it, Zack was thinking to himself... But he did fall for it. Hook, line, and sinker. Oh, for Pete's sake! Who am I kidding? the green and purple dragon thought to himself as he got up and dashed over to join her. The dragoness laughed at him. "Couldn't resist, could you?" she said with a laugh. "I really hate it when you do that, you know!" Zack grumbled, but he was smiling.

Georgina laughed once again and they kissed. It was at that moment that Aladar finally appeared from the tree line and walked down onto the beach. "Hey, guys!" he called out. "Hi, Aladar!" greeted Shine. "Hey, what's up, Aladar?" greeted Bowser. "It's about time you showed," said Twilight. "Where have you been? We've been wondering where you are," smiled Jack as he and the others gathered round

After five years seeing each other, the blue and red dragon and Aladar had become good friends, that kind of bond that could never be broken. "Oh, I just played around with the kids. How are you guys enjoying the beach?" asked Aladar. "It's amazing! It's like we're in Hawaii, only it feels more like Madagascar with all the lemurs around," said Blue. "But other than that, it's amazing," said Amy.

"That's great. Anyways, we all know what's happening tonight, right?" asked Jack, looking round at them. "Of course, it's the Courtship Gathering," said Octa. "Right, and Plio and Yar are counting on us to be there. So we can't miss it," added Romar. "Don't worry. We'll ALL be there," said Pod sincerely and Fredryka. "But I've been thinking. Do any of you think that Zini will get a girl to notice him this time? We've all heard about his past failures," said Blue.

"At least he tries," said Spyro. "Not to burst your bubble, but he's failed each time, what makes you think that he has a chance this year?" asked Ribo. "He'll find the girl of his dreams someday," Zack replied with certainty in his voice, before he turned to look at Georgina and smirked. "I've already found mine." "Oh, you!" the singer said, her scales flushing a dark peach as she blushed. "Well, I hope so too," agreed Crusher.

"I'm sure Zini will do perfectly this year," said Aladar. "Oh, that reminds me. Have any of you guys seen him? Plio wants me to get him for the gathering," the Iguanodon added. "Oh, he's further down the beach. Practicing, I think" said Rainbow Dash, as she pointed a hoof further along the long length of sand. "Come on, Aladar, we'll go look for him together," said Jack as he fell into step alongside his friend.

Further along the beach Zini, now grown up after five years, was standing on a rock and he was indeed practicing for that night's courtship ritual, trying to hook up with the ladies thanks to his words of "romance", as he called them. "Hey, sweetie, if you'll be my bride, I'll groom ya. That is good. Oh, that's good," said Zini, practicing his words for tonight. Jack and Aladar heard this as they approached him and they both shook their heads in disbelief.

Zini had always been trying and failing to hook up with the female lemurs, trying to become some sort of "love monkey", and a player. "Girls, I'm known as the "Professor of Love" and school's in session," he said, continuing his rehearsal, before letting out a wheeze. "Yeah, I still got it," said Zini. "I hope it's not contagious whatever it is," said Jack with a smile as he and Aladar approached him.

Hearing them coming, the male lemur turned to meet them. "I'm a raging epidemic of romance," said Zini, sweeping his mane back as the duo chuckled. "Come on, hot stuff. Let's get goin'," said Aladar as Zini hopped onto his back. "You don't wanna miss Yar's annual pep talk." "Oh, goody. I can't wait to hear the mating advice of an old monkey," said Zini in a sarcastic tone.

"Hey hey hey, I heard that in his day, that "old monkey" was quite a swinger, not that I would know anything about it," said Jack. "You talkin' about Yar?" asked Zini, surprised. "Yeah, to hear him tell it, he puts the prime in primate," said Aladar. "Really?" asked the lemur, disbelievingly.
