Chapter 2: The Beginning

8:00 AM June 7

The last member from the S.T.A.R.S Alpha Team to introduce himself entered the S.T.A.R.S office. He was wearing a navy-blue shirt, a green vest and black pants. He was a blonde man with short hair and wearing sunglasses. "What do we have here?" Seriously the man asked.

"My name's Rebecca Chambers, the new member from the S.T.A.R.S bravo team. And you are?" She asked on simplicity.

"So, you're the rookie. My name is Albert Wesker and I'm the S.T.A.R.S captain, I'm from alpha team." He said coldly.

"Nice to meet you." Said Rebecca.

"Since we're all here, let's have a shooting training." Wesker said with all of them leaving the room. They all went to the shooting gallery.

9:00 AM June 7

The shooting gallery was ready with all the targets on their places.

"Hey, Chris! The loser pays the beers?" Forest Speyer challenge Chris.

"Just between we two. I accept it." Chris Redfield answered.

10:00 AM June 7

"I can't believe I was the worst." Rebecca regretted it while Chris was laughing with Forest Speyer. "You know what that means, you pay the beers." Said Chris Redfield.

"Joseph is coming too?" Forest Speyer asked.

"I'm coming!" Joseph Frost said to his two friends.

"I'm recording it all." Kenneth J. Sullivan said with a camera.

"You'll get better, that's not easy." Said Edward Dewey to Rebecca.

"That's right, try to enjoy yourself a little." Said Richard Aiken to Rebecca too.

"You all did a very good job, congratulations." Enrico Marini said to his team.

"You were good, Jill. You just need to keep it up." Said Barry Burton to Jill.

"Chris got the top result, where is he?" Jill asked worried about Chris.

"At this time, he must be drinking." Brad Vickers answered Jill.

"Good work Alpha team, that was good." Albert Wesker said to his team.

12:00 PM June 7

Rebecca was playing basketball with some new friends and Albert Wesker took a photo from her in the basketball uniform.

2:00 PM June 7

Chris Redfield went to the refectory where he met his friend Lieutenant Marvin Branagh eating among the others.

"Marvin!" Chris arrived at the table to join him.

"Chris! Good to see you." Said the Lieutenant with another officer on his other side.

"So, you're Chris from the S.T.A.R.S Alpha team. I'm Kevin Ryman, nice to meet you." Kevin said a bit angry

"Nice to meet you, Kevin." Chris said to him.

"I made the test to enter the S.T.A.R.S but unfortunately I failed It twice." Said Kevin.

"That's because you're very confident." Said Marvin to Kevin.

"Don't say that." Kevin answered.

"It's just the truth." Marvin said."

"I've finished my lunch, I better hurry for my turn is also almost finished." Chris said leaving the refectory.

"Mine is already gone; I'll be back at night." Said Kevin

"Almost everybody I know here works at night and just leave this hour." The lieutenant said.

9:00 PM June 7

At the main hall Kevin received a case, alongside lieutenant Marvin.

"That's it Kevin, we're going to the address which is near the Arklay Mountains." Marvin explained to Kevin.

"What is wrong this time? That place gives me the creeps." Kevin was scared.

At the parking lot, Kevin Ryman was going to solve a case with his superior Marvin Branagh. The two entered the police car and left the police station.

Heading to the crime scene…

"Why do you always drive?" Kevin was upset.

"What's wrong with it? There's no motive to get upset." The lieutenant said.

"What is wrong this time?" Kevin asked.

"There was this family, they lived near the forest and tonight their body were found someplace outside their house with many bites." Marvin Branagh said to his partner.

"Was it an animal? I mean, the forest is close." Kevin said already worried with the case.

"Look at the photos, there's no animal I know who would do that do the human body." The lieutenant said.

"That seems like cannibalism. Wasn't there another case to take?" Kevin asked worried.

11:00 PM June 7

The place was a plaza, the yellow tape from criminal scene was blocking the way and the forensic experts were at the crime scene. The night was starting to get cold even in the summer. The plaza was near a forest but was a safe place, everybody liked to go there, especially the neighborhood.

Marvin and Kevin got out the car and went to the place where the forensic experts were.

"Excuse us, but we're here for this case." Said the lieutenant to all of them.

"You can get pass here. Lieutenant…?" Asked one of the experts.

"Marvin, Marvin Branagh." He introduced himself.

"And I'm Kevin Ryman, we're partners." Kevin also introduced himself.

"I'm Eddy and I'll guide you to the victim's bodies." The forensic expert said leading the two inside the plaza to the dead family.

"There's something you need to know. The victims were attacked by a group of ten people, but we don't know their ID and neither why they did this." Eddy said to them.

"I can't see this anymore." Kevin said ready to throw up. And left the crime scene to do it.

They had saw what was just the beginning of everything, more victims were made with the same method. The time passed while they were to know more about each other like Rebecca who had recently entered the police department. And the day was almost arriving.

8:00 PM July 22

More than a month has passed and there was a reunion at the S.T.A.R.S office for the entire squad, Alpha and Bravo. They were all curious about it until Albert Wesker the only one left arrived with some papers into a briefcase. He went to his desk and started talking.

"What I have here are the documents about those bizarre murders which start occurring maybe around a month ago. The mission is at the Arklay Mountains and I believe Bravo team could handle it, that's why I pass the mission to the bravo team leader Enrico Marini. And if they don't accomplish it, the alpha team are going too." Wesker said waiting for bravo's team leader response.

"There's no problem about it captain Wesker, we can handle it." Enrico Marini answered looking to his team.

"If that's the case and there's no objection, I would like to leave the operation plan on bravo team hands." Said the entire S.T.A.R.S captain.

"Someone call Kevin Dooley; he's going to be our pilot tonight while Edward Dewey is going to be the co-pilot. Even being not a S.T.A.R.S member he always come in handy when we need a helicopter pilot." Said Enrico Marini.

"Captain, isn't it better for us to just be on our way and tell him to come along with us?" Edward Dewey asked.

"We need to discuss some things first, so I think you better bring him here." Enrico was serious.

"That's okay, I'm sorry." Edward Dewey said leaving the room.

"Are you worried about the mission?" Richard Aiken asked Rebecca Chambers.

"No, it's just that I have a bad feeling about it." Rebecca admitted it.

Edward Dewey came back with Kevin Dooley and were ready for the mission plan.
