Chapter 8: Days of School

Eda's patience at the whole situation was non-existent at this point, she was embarrassed with the outfit she was having to wear because of that stupid pig Tibbles, but she was the best person at making the best of a worst situation. She was handing out a treat called "Candied Crab Apples", it reminded her of when she was in the Human realm and "procured" tickets to a Yankee's game and there was someone going around selling "hotdogs", whether the meat was actually dog or not she didn't know but she had to admit that the food was nice. The crowd in front of her was growing restless, what started off as a few boos started to grow until more, and more were booing in unison. One person shouted "I'm paying for this carp?" and another yelled "I want at least half my money back." Eda would love to give away Tibbles' merchandise just to annoy him, or even any way what so ever to inconvenience the glorified uncooked bacon, but she had to work the money she was told to earn so she wasn't inclined to give away the money she had earned, she even miscounted the money as to keep a percentage of the earnings for herself. "Hey, hey. No discounts, buddy." She said growing more annoyed at the crowd trying to scam a the master of scammers.

"You guys ow me. There's nothing happening in this show." The angry customer yelled back at Eda.

His one eyed, green skinned friend nodded his head in agreement and crossed his arms. "Not a single one of those dumb kids have gotten hurt yet." He snapped, prompting Eda to turn head head back to see what exactly they were talking about.

"Dumb kids?" she said confused, then she saw it on the large viewing display in front of her, Gus, Luz and Willow, and they had a slight purple glow to them. "Wait." She said at the realization of the situation. "Those are my dumb kids!" she exclaimed.

King's plan had worked like a charm, as he through the friendship charm onto Tibbles' face which prompted him to tap his cheek, causing his shrinking potion to wear off. King, Luz, Gus and Willow started to grow more and more until they burst out of the small glass container holding them and the creatures they were stuck inside with. They all looked at one another and let out a sigh, thankful that they had escaped with minimal damage, but the relaxing moment was short lived as figured loomed over them, it dawned on each of the four kids that Tibbles' tent of tiny terrors had shrunken creatures that weren't just them, so it stands to reason that if they were shrunken and the way to stop such a spell would work on them, it would work on other inflicted persons or creatures by the shrinking potion.

"You shrunk the Animals too?" Luz asked in an accusatory voice. Luz was never one for violence, but today's antics were making her wish she really was.

Tibbles rolled his eyes as if he was asked a stupid question. "It's the Tent of Tiny Terrors." He explained. "Something needed to be tiny." He continued.

The crowd's short-lived silence was just that, short-lived, as they crowd started booing yet again and throwing cups and food down onto the performance area. "Finish the job!" the annoying customer from earlier shouted. "Get them kids." The customer in the long hat yelled, which prompted one of the other customers closer to the stage to throw his candied crab apple at the unicorn in front of him, hoping to antagonize it to finish it's job and try and eat the four kids. But the unicorn's reflexes were too quick, it caught the candied crab apple in it's mouth and started eating it, the sensation of flavors, mostly sugar, washed over the equine beast's tongue and even made it blush. The look of it's face promped the other two unicorns, the manticore and even the gryphon to look at the crowd with anticipation. Two members of the crowd, a person with yellow fur and horns looked at their friend, a small blue skinned demon and realized something, the animals were looking at them and ignoring the people in the performance area.

The largest unicorn lifted it's hoof off the floor and pointed it forwards, for anyone that could speak unicorn they would've head "Get'em!" but even then you wouldn't have needed to speak unicorn to get the gesture. This prompted the other beasts to rush onto the seating area and chase off the spectators, which left Tibbles in a state of confusion and momentary dumfounded-ness, he realized that yet again, the Owl Lady and her kids got in the way of him and his get rich quick scheme as he yelled. "They foiled my plans!" the yellow skinned pig creature grew furious and snapped out of his confusion. "You will pay for this." He yelled and grabbed out from his coat, the potion from earlier, the chance at revenge was too close for him to contain his furious excitement. "This time I'm gonna personally squash you." He snarled like a crazed lunatic, but just like the kid's moment of relaxation it was short lived as someone from behind him snatched the bottle.

"Oh, no Tibbles." The owl lady said with that annoying grin over her face. "That's not how entertainment works." She stated, throwing away the bottle before dumping the candied crab apples onto Tibbles, a couple of them even stuck to his skin and ring master's coat. "The bad guy always gets his just desserts." She said with a hint of arrogance in her voice. Eda then turned towards the now enlarged beasts who were eating whatever snacks were left behind on the seating area and called out to them. "Hey girls, This one's one the house."

The unicorns turned to stare at Tibbles, who was covered in candied crab apples and was full of meat, a proverbial treat on legs, a fact that Tibbles had just realized too as he noticed the now non-shrunken creatures were staring at him with hunger in there eyes, he didn't even take a moment to think of any plans or tricks to try and get out of his, panic had got the better of him as he ran out of the tent screaming, with the three unicorns giving chase.

"Looks like we ruined his life for a second time." Willow stated, taking in the spectacle of the little pig running faster than anyone could've imagined. Gus would've felt bad, but considering the fact Tibbles had almost fed him and his friends to unicorns he couldn't help but savor the moment.

"We're on a role." The young boy said with a smile on his face.

King snapped out of the moment of watching Tibbles run for his life as he turned to regard Luz's two witch friends. "Gus, Willow, you're okay!" he said with excitement. Luz was happy that King had gotten over his jealousy of Luz spending time with her friends.

"All thanks to you, King." She said , kneeling down to eye level with the little demon. "Here, it was all that was left."

King looked sad that his friendship charm was broken. "It's… It's okay." He said, with a new thought appearing in his mind. "Because now there's a piece for everybody." Handing put two pieces to Gus and Willow.

"Thank you, king." Willow said, genuine happiness in her voice as she took the piece.

Gus took a piece too. "Yeah, I've always wanted to own a jagged piece of cheap metal." He said trying to make the little demon laugh, the joke didn't land but it didn't make the situation any worse.

Luz was proud of her small friend, she knew that was a really mature thing to do for King to do, she picked him up with both arms. "That's really sweet." She said proudly.

King's struggled to meet luz's eyes due to the guilt, whilst he knew he was in the wrong and had apologised he still couldn't help but feel guilty of the situation, he knew that Luz had other friends besides just him, but it still made king feel bad that Luz was spending time at Hexside and spending time with her friends rather than just him. But this was simply a fact that he had to accept. "I'm sorry Luz." King spoke. "Demons do crazy things when they've been missing somebody." He continued.

Luz gave King a hug and whispered to him. "Can I tell you a secret, I've been missing you too." She then gave the little demon a peck on the forehead which caused King to start giggling like a little child.

"Hey, still have a few hours left of carnival left." King said. "Wanna hit those bumper carcasses?" king asked pointing to the exit with his thumb.

Luz felt the mischievous grin appear on her face as a pun slipped out of her mouth. "You bread my mind." She said causing King to start laughing.

Luz, King, Willow, and Gus spent the next couple of hours going on various rides and playing carnival games. They laughed and cheered as they rode the various rides around them. They also played games of skill and luck, winning some prizes along the way. King had a small stuffed owl, Willow had a plastic flower crown, and Gus had a large stuffed bear that he struggled to carry.

As they walked towards another ride, they stumbled upon Tibble's private tent. The tent looked just as creepy and mysterious as it had the last time they saw it. But something caught Luz's attention, Tibble's tent flap was slightly open, Willow turned to Luz and spoke. "Luz, No." she said firmly.

Luz turned back to her friend, that mischievous twinkle in her eye "Just, hear me out." She said convincingly. "What if Tibbles has any other nasty tricks up his sleeve, at least here we could kick the chair from underneath him." Luz explained, pointing at the tent. King and Gus nodded with the plan, it made sense, Tibbles had been seen running for his life from the unicorns so chances are that he's be a safe distance from them to allow them to search the tent should they chose to.

Willow sighed, clearly outvoted in this decision and spoke. "Okay, but let's be quick." She said with a sigh in her voice, trying to be the somewhat mature one out of the four, but she'd be lying to herself and everyone if she didn't admit there wasn't some form of enjoyment she'd get from doing this.

Luz entered the tent with Willow next to her, being followed by Gus and King. As they entered they saw various trinkets, lots of priceless baubles that would make someone rich jealous, from the looks of things Tibbles had indeed made a fair bit of money of his efforts of ripping people off and his various other financial ventures.

"Look here." Gus exclaimed as he picked up a small hand mirror that would enhance the viewer's physical features through it's reflection, clearly Tibbles thought he looked much better than he actually was because of said mirror. They didn't find anything dangerous, or anything that would lead to them to believe Tibbles had another nefarious plan in the works, but before they could examine the last couple of boxes a shadow loomed over them.

"What do you think you guys are doing?" a familiar voice asked the four who were gathered around the last few boxes. Luz and the others turned around to see Eric walking into the tent and closing the front curtain of the tent. "You guys know this is literally illegal, right?" he asked in a concerned voice.

"Wait, I thought you were still working on your project?" Luz stated. "Did you get the work done then?" she asked.

Eric looked annoyed at Luz's question, perceiving it as a change of subject as he approached. "Yes and now, details later, let's get out of here." He said moving his hand towards to front to sign for everyone to leave. "Before Tibbles or any guards sees this." Eric continued.

"We were just making sure Tibbles didn't have anything else planned." Gus said, trying to convince Eric.

"Anything else?" Eric asked confused, turning to look at the younger witch. "I assume I've missed some stuff." Eric stated.

"Oh, you have no idea." Willow said with a smile on her face.

Eric scratched the back of his neck, a small quirk he picked up when he was trying to think of something quickly. He didn't know the details of what the four had went through, but if Tibbles was indeed dangerous, including Eda's warning about the small bovine creature, maybe Luz and the others were right. "Okay, okay, quick glance." He sighed in a defeated voice. "What'd you guys find?" Eric asked.

Luz explained what they had found in the tent, random assortments of overpriced trinkets, but nothing dangerous. They now five youngsters approached the last couple boxes and were rendered confused by the findings, Eric more so than the others. In one of the boxes lay random text books and research papers, which all bore a note inside of them "Property of E.N.N" King had read aloud. "What's or who's E.N.N?" the little demon asked.

"E.N.N, Eric Nathaniel Neil." Luz answered, drawing to the same conclusion that Eric would've if she hadn't answered just before he spoke.

"How'd my stuff get here?" he said rummaging through the books and checking their condition. For the most part the books were in good enough condition and seemed to be handled with care, a couple small dirt marks here and there, a page with a corner tare, but still in good enough condition.

"Maybe your stuff got here when you were pulled here from the human realm?" luz suggestion, the suggestion seeming more like a question than a hypothetical answer.

"Maybe." Eric said putting the books neatly back in the box before realizing the rectangular shaped object in the box. "Please, please, please, please work." He said hastily as he grabbed the rectangular device and unfolded it. "I've got way too much work on this thing." He said as he checked the laptop, which again, seemed to be in good enough condition but had a few small dents and scratches on the back.

"Oh, what's that?" Gus asked curiously.

"This?" Eric replied. "It's called a laptop, it's a computer device meant for storing information and such." He explained to his younger friend before turning to Luz. "So, does it count as stealing if it's my personal property?" he asked his fellow human.

Luz laughed at his quip "Can't steal what's your owns stuff, unless finders keepers is an actual law here." She said "Might want to aske Eda about that." She continued, realizing that finders keepers may very well be an actual law. The group froze for a split second as they heard some chattering of other carnival goers, afraid they'd be caught they all hid behind other boxes and containers, but the other carnival patrons moved on. Willow looked to Luz, Gus, King and Eric and spoke.

"I think we should probably be going." She said in hushed tone, pointing out they had overstayed their welcome. This prompted a swift response from the others as they all agreed, except king who would've wanted to get revenge hadn't it been for Luz's intervention. Eric grabbed the box of his belongings and followed the others as they stealthily made their way out of the tent and made a good distance from the Tibble's personal area, He looked at is laptop and was surprised that it wasn't broken at all, he remembered how he got here more clearly now. He was sitting in his room after coming back from Manhattan and was spirited away to the demon realm via a portal that opened in his room, he managed to cling to his suitcase and backpack, it would seem more personal items had been taken here.

Once the five reached a nearby café they stopped and King spoke. "So, tell us again what this thing does?" he asked Eric in a slightly much nicer tone, rather than his typical one.

"Well a laptop is a portable computer that performs various tasks such as browsing the internet, creating and editing documents, sending and receiving emails, running software applications, storing and playing media files, and performing other computing operations. It has a built-in display, keyboard, touchpad, and speakers, and can connect to other devices such as printers, external storage drives, and displays. It is powered by a rechargeable battery and can be used anywhere, making it convenient for both personal and professional use." He answered, realizing that most of what he said went over the little demon's odd-looking skull-shaped head. "Basically, I can write stuff down, like a high-tech journal, for lack of better words." He explained clearly.

After rummaging through Tibbles' tent, the group came up empty-handed. They couldn't find anything related to Tibbles' nefarious plans against them. It was starting to get dark, and the carnival was shutting down. The group decided to call it a night and head home.

Luz, Willow, and Gus said their goodbyes to Eric and King, promising to meet up with them at Hexside the following day. As they left, Eric felt a twinge of disappointment in his chest. He had missed out on a lot of the fun at the carnival because of his duties as Spider-Man. He wished he could have spent more time with his friends.

As the group walked through the darkened carnival, they heard the sounds of workers closing down booths and packing up games. It was a sad reminder that the fun was over. Eric tried to shake off his gloomy mood and enjoy the last few moments with his friends.

As they made their way to the exit, King pointed to a nearby booth. "Hey, guys, check it out! There's still one game open!"

Luz, Eric, and King ran over to the booth, excited to try their luck. The game was a simple one - throwing balls into buckets - but it was enough to lift Eric's spirits. For a moment, he forgot about being Spider-Man and just enjoyed himself with his friends.

The game was one of the more normal looking ones, or rather normal compared to Human standards. It contained three moving rings that were riddles with small holes, ring had a different score value, the outer ring showed scores of twenty-five points, the middle circle had less holes and shows a score of fifty points and the inner circle which had a rather small hole, just big enough for the ball to go through and no more showed two hundred points. "Okay, what's the catch here, that one isn't moving," Eric thought to himself as he stared at the inner slot. King was first to go, the little demon was given three balls to throw, the first one went wide and actually knocked a small plushie off the prize shelf, causing the game owner to scald the King about potentially damaging merchindise

King tossed his second ball that landed in one of the fifty-point holes, he took a deep breath than tossed in his final one, which again, went wide and almost hit the carnival worker. "Alright, pipsqueak you're done here." The worker said whilst grabbing the balls away from King.

This angered King "How dare some stall jockey rip him off, the game as clearly rigged." He thought to himself. "Shenanigans!" he yelled, prompting Luz to grab him and pass King to Eric, who held the little demon in both arms. "Unhand me, I demand retribution!" King yelled as he struggled to get out of the human boy's arms, a clearly vain attempt.

"If you behave, I'll get you a chocolate blood orange, deal?" Eric suggested, turning his head down to the little demon in a kind voice. King crossed his arms and nodded, indeed satisfied with the proposal. "If you wanna go next I'll hold the little guy." Eric said turning to Luz, passing Luz a few snails to get a turn.

Luz was a really good pitcher, she might have noodle arms, but she had a great shot in terms of accuracy, she grabbed the balls that the game runner handed her, they were roughly the same weight as a baseball, she turned to Eric and winked. "You might want to stand back." Luz said confidently, her follow up being cut off by her friend.

"In case you go wide and hit either me or king?" Eric asked sarcastically with a smirk on his face.

"Hardee har, har." Luz mock laughed at him before tossing the first ball into one of the fifty-point holes with ease. "I was going to say, you might want to stand back, so you don't get trampled by my adoring fans." She continued, prompting Eric to turn around and smiling at the lack of people around.

"Yeah, sure, it's like the average Red Sox turn out." Eric said stated as Luz tossed her second ball into another fifty point hole.

"Shut up, Sox are way better than the Mets." She said aiming her third and final ball. Luz tensed up and threw the final ball into the hole, it made a slam sound and the hole appeared to close as if a mouth was shut, the lips of the mouth moved back and fourth and spat the ball back out, leaving Luz, Eric and King Confused.

"Aw, tough break kiddo." The carney stated "You can always pay for another go." He suggested.

"But I got it in the hole." Luz said confused.

"Did you?" the game runner said, picking up the ball off the ground. "Looks like you missed it, otherwise the ball wouldn't be on the floor." He said nonchalantly.

Luz could feel her blood pressure rising, even in the demon realm it seemed that the age old tradition of carnies being con artists was alive and well. "I clearly got it, it spat it out!" she exclaimed, furious of at the situation.

The carnie shrugged, clearly disinterested in what the human girl had to say at this point. He looked towards Eric who was still holding King in his arms with an annoyed expression on his face. "How about you, you try and win something for your girlfriend here?" the carnie said with a smirk

Eric blushed a little, he could see Luz was slightly blushing, though that may be due to the fact she was furious at the fact she fell for such an easy to spot scam. It seemed that based off what Eric had seen that there was some creature that served as the centre of the game, so Eric came up with an idea. He walked towards Luz and handed her king without saying a word and turned to the game runner. "Sure, I'm pretty sure this game is legit." Eric said giving Luz a small wink.

He approached the basket of balls and took three out, the first ball went wide, not like King's but it missed the outer ring by a solid portion, the game runner started laughing. "Aw, come on kid, I think you can do better than that." He said in a mocking tone.

Eric knew how to manipulate his strength, he had to, otherwise when stopping a criminal a single punch had the potential to be lethal, and from the looks of things the carnie believed that he missed his first shot on accident. The young lad tensed up slightly, put both of his hands on the ball and pulled his arms back, mimicking a baseball pitcher's pose, he lifted a single foot of the ground and leaned forwards and tossed the ball. It hurled through the several meter space quickly, so quick the carnie missed the shot entirely, it landed in the centre hole, the hole closed and made an audible gulping sound, prompting the carnie to blink in awe at the shot.

"Huh, some arm you got on ya kid." The carnie laughed nervously, handing Eric a small plush toy that looked like a red blue skinned impish creature. Eric rejected the prize, pointing out to the biggest one they had, it was a large, strange mass of legs and arms, it looks more like a strange bean bag rather than a plush toy.

"That one." Eric said casually "How many points for that one?" he asked.

The carnie turned around to see the prize Eric was wanting and laughed. "Six hundred, and you've only got one ball left." He said confidentially. "Unless you want to pay for another game." He suggested.

Eric met the carnie's gaze and grinned. "Sure, may as well show off the good ol' pitching skills." He said confidentially.

Eric handed the carnie some more snails and was given an extra three balls, and in rapid succession, he slammed each ball into the centre hole, on the third one the hole started coughing violently after swallowing Eric's throw. The game runner grumbled under his voice and shoved the toy into Eric's arms. "Here kid, scram." He said in an annoyed voice.

Eric still held a single ball and looked at the carnie. "Still got one shot left." He said with a smile on his face, taking the large….thing from the game runner. This prompted the hole to close and open as it appeared to speak. "Please….no more…" it said in a deep voice that was clearly riddled with fear, this prompted the game runner to put up a "we're closed" sign, and he walked to the back and seemed to be arguing with something.

Eric handed the large "thing" to King, who seemed to be over joyed at either how intimidating it seemed, or how fluffy and soft it was. "I think I will call you…. Roberto the second." He stated with authority in his voice.

"What happened to Roberto the first?" Luz asked the little demon in her arms.

"No, no, no," King said shaking his head. "Roberto is his first name, second name The, and last name Second." King stated as if it were a parent correcting their child. This show of absolute childlike innocence caused the two teenagers to start laughing as they walked back home.

The three started to make their way back to the owl house, King was fascinated by the patchwork limbs and colours of his new plushie, Luz was enjoying the sighs and smells. Dusk was her favourite time of the day, she always found it tranquil and relaxing, the thoughts of families making their way back home to spend time with their loved ones always seemed like such a beautiful notion to her, as small child she never really thought about such things but lately she'd been allowing her mind to wander and dwell on such things. Usually she was keeping herself busy, reading and writing Good Witch Azura fanfiction, playing games and hanging out with her friend. Eric, on the other hand wasn't paying attention to the scenery, rather, the fact someone manged to find personal belonging of his from the human realm here. The idea wasn't too strange as he saw some of his stuff arrive here, like his suitcase and his backpack when he was sucked into the portal. His pondering was interrupted as a voice snapped him out of his deep thoughts.

"That was a nice thing you did, by the way." Luz said with a smile looking at Eric.

"I didn't do it to be nice." Eric said in a hushed tone, this caused Luz to raise an eyebrow, wondering what Eric could've meant.

"Oh?" she said confused.

Eric turned to meet Luz's gaze, as he stared at her, eyes locked a smile broke out on his face. "Gotta represent the Yankees." He said puffing his chest out. "I can feel it, Yankees are gonna go big this year, unlike the Red Sox." Eric boasted, clearly trying to get a rise out of Luz, which had indeed worked.

"Oh, My, God." She exclaimed in an overly dramatic voice. "I've literally proven to you so many times that the Yankees suck." She continued.

Eric, whilst laughing flinched at Luz's raised voice. "Like how you've proven that Witches, Wizards and Warlocks is one of the best games ever made, in all of human history?" He asked trying not to laugh. The mention of that game after bosting that the Yankees were better than the Red Sox caused Luz to give Eric a death glare, he didn't need his Spidey-Sense to know what was coming. Eric started to pick up the pace and so did Luz. Luz chased after Eric, who was still laughing at her playful anger.

King was holding onto Roberto for dear life, he pointed towards Eric, the culprit who had annoyed his fellow comedy hour buddy. "Get him!" King Yelled, using one of Roberto's many arm's to gesture towards the human who was running.

"Come on, Luz, I know you can catch me if you try!" he egged her on.

Luz, who was carrying King in her arms, rolled her eyes at the petty attempt at banter "You're on, Bug-Boy!" she replied with a grin.

Despite the fact that Eric was a bit faster, Luz managed to keep up with him. They weaved in and out of the people on the street, laughing and shouting as they ran. A moment like this could've lasted forever as far as the three were concerned.

Luz woke up early and prepared herself for another day at Hexside. She was excited to attend her classes and learn more about magic. Although she did not possess magical abilities like other witches, she had a unique way of using glyphs to perform spells, which made her stand out in the crowd.

Her first class of the day was Advanced Glyphs, where she was learning how to use glyphs to make protective barriers. The class was taught by Professor Bonebus, and Luz was amazed at how quickly she was picking up the spells. She was able to create complex barriers that even the other students struggled with.

After Advanced Glyphs, Luz went to her next class, which was Potions: Components and Alchemical Structures. She enjoyed this class but struggled with the scientific concepts. Unlike Eric, who excelled at science-based subjects, Luz found it difficult to grasp the chemistry behind potion-making.

Despite this, she worked hard and was determined to do well. She asked questions, stayed after class to talk with the teacher, and practiced the potion-making procedures in her free time.

Her final class of the morning was History of the Boiling Isles. This class was taught by Professor Dumont and was one of Luz's favorites. She loved learning about the different creatures that inhabited the Boiling Isles and their unique histories.

Luz finished her sandwich and packed up her lunch, feeling a little lonely as she didn't have anyone to sit with in the cafeteria. She glanced around the room, trying to spot someone she knew, but they were all in different classes. She felt a twinge of sadness, but she shook it off. She was determined to make the best of her time at Hexside.

As she was getting ready to leave, she overheard a group of students talking about a recent pixie infestation that had occurred in the school. Apparently, some of the pixies had managed to escape from their cages and caused quite a stir. Luz listened intently to their conversation, fascinated by the chaos that had ensued.

Just as she was about to leave, Amity Blight approached her. "Hey Luz," Amity said, "do you have any plans after school?"

Luz and Amity started off on the wrong foot, but lately the two had started to become more friendlier. The fact that ever since Luz had came to the Demon Realm she had made numerous friends, outside of her single friend from the human realm, this fact wasn't lost on Luz as she looked at the green haired witch in front of her.

"I was thinking we could go to this café I know," Amity said, her voice softening. "It's really nice. What do you say?"

Luz's heart raced as she eagerly accepted the offer. "Yeah, that sounds great!" she said, her face beaming with excitement.

"Great, it's a small café not too far from here, called "Pumpernickel's", I'll meet you outside after class?" Amity asked her human friend.

As Luz made her way to her next class, she reflected on her time at Hexside so far. Despite not being able to use magic like the other students, she was excelling in her classes and had even learned how to use glyphs. She was proud of herself for keeping up with her peers and was grateful for the opportunity to learn about the magical world.

However, she couldn't help but feel a little bit jealous of the other students who had magical abilities. She wished that she could perform spells like they did, but she knew that she had her own unique talents that she could contribute to the world of magic.

As she entered her next class, she saw Eric sitting at his desk, scribbling in his notebook. She was about to check on him before she noticed the time and rushed off to her afternoon class.

Later in the day, Luz found herself daydreaming about her upcoming hangout with Amity. She wondered what they would talk about and what they would do. Would they become friends? Would they get along? She couldn't wait to find out.

During lunch, Eric decided to use his free time to work on a formula for his web-slinging abilities, while keeping his Spider-Man identity a secret from most of Hexside. He was in the potion classroom, surrounded by various alchemical supplies. As he carefully measured and mixed different chemicals, he felt that he was close to figuring out the correct formula. He knew, however, that finding the right formula was only half the answer to his problem. Once he had the web fluid figured out, he would need to find a way to put it into cartridges and design a mechanism to release the webbing at a pressure of 300 P.S.I.

As he pondered these challenges, he continued to experiment with the chemicals, hoping that Hexside's resources would provide the key to creating the perfect web formula. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. As he combined two seemingly innocuous substances, a sudden burst of flame erupted from the concoction. The fire spread quickly, catching Eric off guard. He frantically searched for a way to put out the flames before they caused too much damage.

Just as panic was about to take over, Principal Bump appeared in the doorway. Assessing the situation in an instant, he rushed into the room and conjured a glyph that unleashed a torrent of water. The fire was extinguished, leaving behind a mess of charred tables and scorched walls.

Principal Bump turned to Eric, a stern expression on his face. "What were you doing in here during lunch, young man?" he asked, his voice edged with concern and annoyance.

Eric hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to explain his actions without revealing his secret identity. "I was working on a personal project, sir," he admitted, sheepishly. "I'm trying to create a formula for... um, a special adhesive, one that wouldn't set off things like allergic reactions from contact with skin…. or fur. But it seems I wasn't careful enough with the chemicals."

Principal Bump sighed, shaking his head. "You need to be more cautious, Eric. Alchemy is a powerful and potentially dangerous art. You're lucky no one was injured today," he scolded. Despite his stern words, there was a hint of understanding in his tone.

I'm sorry, Principal Bump. I promise it won't happen again," Eric replied, feeling embarrassed and grateful for the principal's help.

"See that it doesn't," Bump said, softening slightly. "Now, clean up this mess and get yourself some lunch. And remember, if you need assistance with your project, don't hesitate to ask for help. There are plenty of knowledgeable teachers and students here at Hexside."

After school, Luz and Amity decided to meet up and spend some time together. They agreed to visit Pumpernickel's Café, a cozy little spot in the heart of the Boiling Isles that had become one of Amity's favorite hangouts. The warm atmosphere and delicious drinks made it the perfect place to unwind and catch up with each other.

As they entered the café, the scent of freshly brewed coffee and sweet pastries filled the air. They found a quiet corner table near a window, where they could watch the comings and goings of the bustling street outside. Settling into their seats, they placed their orders with the friendly server who came by.

Once their drinks had arrived, Amity took a sip of her warm tea and asked, "So, how was your day, Luz? Did anything interesting happen?"

Luz grinned as she recalled the day's events. "You wouldn't believe it! Eric accidentally started a fire in the potions classroom during lunch. Principal Bump had to come in and save the day," she said, taking a sip of her hot chocolate.

Amity's eyes widened in surprise. "Wow, that sounds intense. I'm glad everyone's okay, though. Eric's always getting himself into some kind of trouble, isn't he?"

"Not really." Luz shrugged. "I mean, he got chewed out pretty bad by bump, but he pretty much just shrugged it off as lack of knowledge due to human realm education system sucking." She continued after taking another sip.

As Luz and Amity continued their conversation in the cozy café, Amity became more curious about the human realm. She looked at Luz with a mixture of fascination and excitement, asking, "Luz, what's the Human realm like? I've always wondered what life is like outside the Boiling Isles."

Luz's eyes lit up as she thought about her home. "Well, it's very different from here. We don't have magic like in the Boiling Isles, but we have technology, which is kind of like our version of magic. We have cars instead of staffs for transportation, and we use computers and phones to communicate and learn."

Amity listened intently, her curiosity growing with each new detail. "And what about the people? Are they anything like us?"

Luz nodded, smiling. "Oh, definitely! There are all sorts of people, just like here. We have our own cultures, languages, and traditions. And even though we don't have magic, we still have stories and legends about magical creatures and heroes."

Amity leaned in, her curiosity piqued. "That sounds so amazing. I'd love to visit the Human realm someday and see it for myself. Maybe you could be my guide?"

Luz grinned, her excitement contagious. "I would love that, Amity! I could show you all my favorite places, me and Eric have a few hang outs." She said enthusiastically as she lifted her hand and started to rime off the list of locations. "Let's see, there's the comic store, the book store, the old Oscorp warehouse." Luz said as she counted the places with her fingers. "oh, theres also this place in New York called central park, it's huge."

As their conversation continued, Luz and Amity talked about their hopes and dreams, both for their lives in the Boiling Isles and the adventures they hoped to have together in the Human realm. They discussed the various aspects of human culture, from music and movies to sports and festivals, and Amity found herself captivated by the idea of experiencing these things first-hand.

As Luz and Amity continued their conversation, Amity found herself growing more and more enchanted by Luz's vivid descriptions of the Human realm. The thought of exploring this new world with her best friend sparked a warm feeling in her chest, one that she couldn't quite put her finger on.

"New york?" amity said tiling her head slightly to the side. "what's that like?" she asked genuinely interested as she had heard Luz and Eric mention this place before.

z's eyes sparkled with excitement as she began to describe the bustling metropolis. "Oh, Amity, New York City is an amazing place! It's one of the largest and most famous cities in the world. It's known for its incredible skyline, with skyscrapers reaching high into the sky, and its diverse population. People from all over the world live and work there, which makes it a melting pot of different cultures, languages, and traditions."

Amity listened with rapt attention, picturing the city in her mind. "What else can you tell me about it?"

Luz continued, her enthusiasm growing. "New York City is made up of five boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island. Each has its own unique character and charm. There are so many things to see and do! There's Broadway, where you can watch amazing live theater performances, and Central Park, a huge park in the middle of Manhattan that's perfect for picnics and relaxing. There's also Times Square, which is famous for its bright lights, gigantic billboards, and bustling energy. Oh, and you can't forget about the iconic Statue of Liberty, a symbol of freedom and a gift from France to the United States."

Amity's eyes widened in awe as she imagined the vibrant cityscape. "It sounds incredible, Luz. I can't believe there's a place like that in the Human realm. I'd love to see it someday."

Luz's deminer suddenly shifted as she brought up a new cursed location "and then there's…Citi Field." She said with venom through her voice. "An evil cursed place." She said shivering.

Amity was about to question Luz's shift in tone until she heard a familiar voice.

"I didn't hear that." A male voice said, Amity turned around to see a figure in a red and blue skin-tight suit approaching. "Didn't know you ladies came here." Spider-Man said holding a hot drink in a takeaway cup and a small paper bag in the other one.

"Same here." Amity said with a look of confusion. "I need to task, how do you, you know." She said, gesturing her eyes towards the coffee cup in the Hero's hand.

Spider-man didn't say anything, he simply pinched his mask with the hand that he was holding the paper bag in and lifted up the mask enough to reveal his lips and took a sip from his cup.

Amity blushed slightly, a clearly obvious answer. "Yeah, that checks out." She spoke. "So what brings you here, shouldn't you be doing Spider stuff?" she asked.

"Coffee break, besides." Spider-Man said before taking a sip from his drink. "I like to check on Mister and Misses Pumpernickel when I'm in the neighbourhood, plus their coffee and berry blood donuts are legit."

"Berry bloods from here are my sister's favourite." Amity spoke. "How do you know Mister and Misses Pumpernickel?" The green haired witch asked curiously.

"Well, during my first night swinging through town I heard some thugs trying to shake Mister Pumpernickel down." He replied before taking a sip of his drink. "Stopped the shake down, and well, that's kinda it."

After sharing the story of how he met the Pumpernickels, Spider-Man finished his coffee with a contented sigh. He crumbled his napkin and pushed his chair back, preparing to leave.

"Well, guess I should be going. Can't keep the city waiting," he said, giving them both a friendly wave. He grabbed a berry blood donut from the counter on his way out. "Stay safe, Luz, Amity."

With that, Spider-Man, who they all knew as Eric, walked out the door, munching his donut, ready to swing into action once again. Through the café window, they watched him disappear into the cityscape, leaving them alone in the cozy café.

Once he was out of sight, Amity let out a small, nearly imperceptible sigh of relief. Not because she disliked Eric, far from it, but his presence had been a disruption to her anticipated time with Luz.

They continued to discuss the various aspects of human life, but Amity found it increasingly difficult to focus. As she listened to Luz speak with passion and excitement, she couldn't help but admire the way her eyes sparkled and the way her hands moved animatedly to emphasize her points.

Amity's thoughts wandered to the time they spent together in the Boiling Isles, the adventures they had shared, and the challenges they had faced side by side. She realized that these experiences had brought them closer than she could have ever imagined, and she cherished the bond they had formed.

As they finished their drinks, Luz reached across the table and gently placed her hand on Amity's. "I'm really glad we got to hang out today, Amity. We should do this more often."

Amity felt her heart skip a beat, her cheeks turning an even deeper shade of pink. "Y-yeah, I'd like that too, Luz."

s their coffee date came to an end, Amity found herself walking home under the soft, dusky glow of the twilight. The café's warmth slowly receded behind her, but the residual warmth of Luz's touch lingered on her skin. She kept replaying their conversation, the echo of Luz's laughter, and the spark in her eyes as she talked about her world.

Her heart fluttered at the thought of Luz, their hands meeting across the table, and the promise of more shared moments. A soft smile played on her lips as she found herself looking forward to their next meeting.

The streets of Bonesborough were quiet, the only sounds being the distant hooting of a stray Demon and the soft rustle of leaves under her feet. The chill of the evening air was starting to creep in, but Amity hardly noticed. Her mind was far too occupied with thoughts of Luz, their conversation still fresh and alive in her mind.

Walking past familiar buildings and landmarks, she couldn't help but think about the different life Luz described - towering buildings, bustling streets, and technology beyond her comprehension. The human realm sounded like a chaotic blend of fascinating and intimidating, much like Luz herself in Amity's eyes. Yet, she found herself yearning to experience it all, preferably with Luz by her side.

Reaching her home, she paused for a moment before entering. She turned to look back at the path she had walked, the lingering thoughts of Luz and the promising future ahead made her heart flutter. With a soft sigh and a smile, she stepped inside, looking forward to the next day, and the many more to come with Luz in them.

Timeframe: Understanding Willow

The next day Gus watched Luz and willow participate in some strange human activity called "A Thumb War", some strange gladiatorial match where opponents need to pin each other's thumb for several seconds and then win, again strange but it looked like fun. "So what's the significance of a thumb war?" Gus asked Eric who was talking a drink from his glass bottle of "Cursed Cauldron Brew", a local beverage that was appeared to be some from of an equivalent to the Human Realm's soda.

"Nothing much to be honest." Eric said with a shrug. "It's just a game, like patty cake or arm wrestling." He said finishing his sentence before taking a swig of his drink.

"Weird." Gus said. "So how are you adjusting to town?" the smaller boy asked his taller friend.

"I mean so far it's been alright, best of the worst situation kind of thing." Eric said finishing his drink after one final swig. "It's not exactly like I can get back home at the drop of a hat so may as well attempt to like my new surroundings, plus at least there is some sense of familiarity." Eric said watching Luz loose to Willow in their second match of a thumb war.

The recess started to near the later point in which Gus had left the group to head to his next class on the Illusion track, Eric had a free period so he figured he'd attend Luz and Willow's photo class to pass the time, and that he knew one of his predecessors used to be a photographer for the Daily Bugle, a paper that despite the majority of staff appreciating the webslingers would typically print papers speaking out against the three Spider-Men.

"Oh my god, Willow, I am so excited for photo class." Luz said excitedly. "I can't believe you can make pictures of your actual memories." Luz continued as she tickled her locker so that the mouth of her locker would open for her to get her books. "I'ma see me some baby willow."

"I will admit, I was adorable." Willow said thinking of all the compliments her dads would give her whenever they looked at their family photo albums.

Eric leaned against his locker on the opposing side of the hall facing his two friends. "So how exactly does this work? You're given a camera, right?" Eric asked raising his eyebrow.

"You'll see." Willow said with a smile. "It's fairly straight forward so once we get into class, you'll get a better idea." She continued.

"Fair enough." Eric said. "Still, would be nice to see some memories, Luz and I can show you some of what back home is like." Eric said with a smile, reminiscing of swinging through the skyscrapers of New York.

The locker bit down on one of the books Luz was looking to retrieve for her class, Luz now was struggling to get the book from the locker. "Hey!" she snapped. "Don't eat that!" she said as she was wrestling the book from the mouth of the locker.

Eric walked forward. "Need a hand, noodle arms?" Eric asked, giving his friend a quick smirk.

"I…Got this." She said, but then she lost her grip and the book slipped out her hands. She fell backwards as her foot slipped but she didn't hit the floor, Eric's quick reflexes came in handy as he was able to catch her by the hand and bring her back up to an upright position. Eric with his other hand in a blur of motion snatched the book out of the locker's mouth and presented it to his friend.

"So, delivery is gonna be a buck fifty." He said letting go of Luz's hand and giving her the book."

Luz took the book from her friend and noticed that the locker was hissing at her, she returned the gesture back to the locker.

Eric and Luz noticed Willow's mood slightly dampen as they heard the voice of Boscha, a three eyed student dark pink hair who was one of "the popular students" in the school, and leaned towards having a bully-ish personality.

"I can't believe they'd hang out with her. It's just embarrassing." Boscha said to Skara with a "valley girl" type of voice. "Look at me. I'm going on a date with my ferns." She said, mimicking someone with glasses with her hands, this caused a small chuckle from Skara, a bard track student and an indifferent stare from Amity who seemed to not care for the type of humour that Boscha was providing.

Luz, Willow and Eric watched the three girls walk down the hall, and once they left ear shot Eric turned back to his two friends. "Y'know, I'm really thinking of a word that rhymes with Witch" he said, before noticing willow's expression.

"That could be anyone." Luz said, trying to cheer up Willow. However her attempt a was in vain as Skara blurted out "Solid Willow Impression Boscha." Loud enough for the three students to hear.

"Oh yeah, word is defiantly spelt one letter off the word Witch." Eric said rolling his eyes at the clear attempt to make Luz's friend sad.

Skara turned to Amity. "Amity, weren't you friends with Willow?" this causing Amity to stop in mid stride, she had clearly rehearsed this out in her head for if someone asked this very question.

"I'm a Blight. We only associate with a select few." She said with a matter of fact in her voice. "Keep annoying me, though, I'm happy to select fewer." Amity said with a finality in her voice as she began to continue on her way.

"Oh, I could've sworn you guys hung out." She said in a lower tone.

Willow's shoulders dropped along with her mood, she began to walk in the opposite direction direction from the other three girls and towards her class. Luz turned to Eric with a concerned look on her face, Eric met Luz's stare and shrugged, not knowing all of the details and deciding to keep quiet as the followed Willow to the class.

As they walked into the Class Willow seemed to perk up a bit, the class was dimly lit with only red, glowing spiders dangling from the ceiling to provide a source of light. The small little arachnid lights prompted a gybe from Luz. "Bet someone feels right at home here." Luz said looking towards Eric with a small grin.

"Yeah sure, say it a little louder, will ya?" Eric said in a snarky voice towards Luz, trying to drop a hint that maybe she was speaking a little too loud.

Luz picked up exactly what Eric meant, she quickly went quiet and turned her head around, the other students seemed to be too busy doing their own work with the teacher too busy grading students work to really take in what Luz had said.

They walked towards the center table at the bottom end of the room there were only two chairs, Luz and Willow sat down whilst Eric Leaned on the desk.

They were given instructions on how to extract the memories using the instrument on the table, the sight of which made Eric uncomfortable as it looked like a small tweezer with razer sharp teeth. Willow noticed that Eric was uneasy and in an attempt to put in at ease she offered to demonstrate with Luz.

Luz sat still as Willow leaned in and put the tweezer and yanked out what looked like a polaroid picture. She handled the picture with what looked like extreme care as she attached the photo to a rack that said "Luz" on it. The photo started to clear and the image warranted laughter from Luz and Willow, even a small chuckle from the teacher as she examined it. The picture was of Luz holding a canister of canned squirt crème and placing it on Eric's hand as he slept in one of their sleep overs, in Luz's other hand was a feather as she would then tickle his nose causing him to leather the crème on his face.

Eric stared at Luz, trying not to laugh and trying to look annoyed at the same time.

"I told ya, what was gonna happen if you fell asleep during movie night again." Luz said trying to keep herself from laughing.

"Not gonna lie, I completely forgot about that, well, now I remember I never got you back for that." Eric said chuckling at the picture.

"Okay Eric, your turn," Willow said, a reassuring smile on her face. She was holding out the instrument, its razor-sharp teeth glinting in the dim light.

Taking a deep breath, Eric extended his hand to Willow. As the device touched his skin, he stiffened but quickly relaxed. After a moment of discomfort, a picture popped out. Willow gently handled it with care and attached it to Eric's rack. The blurred image began to clear.

The photo that emerged depicted Eric and Luz, both looking the same as their current selves. They both were wearing winter clothes and were standing in the heart of a bustling city surrounded by towering skyscrapers. They were in the human realm, in New York City, at what seemed to be Times Square.

Eric was pointing towards something, his face full of excitement, and Luz had a wide-eyed, awestruck look on her face as she tried to take in the massive billboards, bright lights, and the sea of people.

A small chuckle escaped Eric's lips, he reached out to the photo, gently poking it with his index finger. "Hey, I remember this." He said smiling.

Luz also smiled. "I still can't get over how busy times square is, it's insane."

The two humans turned to face willow who was still holding the tweezer "Okay, Luz you getting one of my memories." She said moving her hair behind her ear to allow an easy attempt.

Luz took the tweezer and examined it, it was a small metallic looking tool, not too dissimilar from a normal set of tweezers or toothed scissors. She turned to look at Willow's ear "All right, memory melon, let's pick another juicy one."

"Be careful with my brain." Willow said in a chipper voice.

Luz moved the tweezer towards Willow's ear inserted it inside, she moved it forward slowly and pinched down and gently pulled the picture out. "Ooh… Who says brain surgery's hard?" she said, amazed at the magic she just performed as she placed the picture onto the rack that said "Willow".

The three students turned around to see Illusion Teacher approach, a name that Luz and Eric was a little on the nose but that was prescribing human realm logic to a world that wasn't the human realm. "As you work, note that some prints have greater clarity than others." Illusion Teacher said to the three students. "These are moments that evoke a strong emotional response." She continued.

This idea of having the ability to grab memories out of someone's head and being able to show them in physical pictures amazing Luz and Eric. "All the colours of the brainbow." Luz said in wonder, she moved her finger to touch the very image she had just pulled out of her friend's head but a blue hand appeared with the word "HALT" on it appeared.

"But if you damage the prints, you'll damage the memories themselves." Illusion Teacher warned her pupils, she put extra emphasis on her next words. "Be extremely careful." She said as she walked away.

"Whoa, photo class is intense." Luz said concerned.

"Well, I think I'm gonna stick with the good ol' polaroid." Eric said moving a single step away from the photo rack.

Luz turned around to see the most recent picture quickly showing, the picture showed a younger Willow who appeared to be camera shy, she was sitting on a little stool politely smiling for the camera. "Oh my Gosh, Willow, you had an awkward hair phase too?" Luz asked excitedly as she pulled out her own photo from when she was younger. Luz's photo contained a photo of Luz resting her head on the top of her hand smiling, she had three braided ponytails with what seemed like five bows on her hair. "I know we were meant to be friends."

The sight of luz's photo caused Eric to snort and slightly laugh. "Damn." Eric said trying not to laugh at his friend's photo, however Luz was too enthralled in the next photos that had finished. One showed a picture of Willow's dads pushing her on the swings, Another was willow feeding a carrot to a large spider-like creature, another was something that looked sort of like a Christmas picture of her opening a present, and finally the last one showed a picture of Willow and what looked like a much younger Amity at some kind of party, this caused each of the three teenagers to have different reactions, a gasp from luz, a raised eyebrow from Eric and a groan of disgust from Willow.

"Hey, I know you and Amity have a history." Luz said turning to her friend and putting her hand on her shoulder. "Wouldn't you feel better talking about it?" she asked.

Willow turned back to face Luz and grabbed the picture without looking at it. "No, I'd rather do this." She said firmly as she turned the picture away and hung it back up on the rack. "That's my motto after all." She said in a happier tone. "Out of sight, out of mind."

Luz wanted to speak up but was immediately cut off as the bell for lunch rang. Eric was already walking out of the room as Luz had stopped willow. "If you won't tell me what she did, I'll never be able to cook up a scheme to make you friends again." Luz said in chipper tone.

"Luz, I get it." willow said putting her two hands together. "But I don't want you to do that." She said. "No schemes, no plots, no ruses, none. Okay?" she said with firm tone. "Now let's go get to lunch" willow said as she began walking to the door.

Luz watched her friend leave the room, despite Willow's protests she couldn't help but feel her mischievous, yet good natured mindset come into play as she reached back to the photo of Willow and Amity and turned it over. "She never did mention anything about shenanigans."

The three had went to the lunch hall where Gus had pinboard in the lunch hall with him. On it were a list of people that had different categories such as "Interesting", "Accomplished." "Noteworthy." Eric sat next to Willow and faced Gus, Luz poked her head around the corner from the pinboard and spoke. "Hey there, detective." Luz said playfully. "Are you solving crime or about to commit one." She said then giving Eric a wink, causing a small smile to break out on his face.

"Sadly, this is one problem crime can't solve." Gus stated, a statement which seemed all too ironic considering who was sitting at the table. "My interview for journalism class is due tomorrow, I'm supposed to chose someone who's interesting, accomplished and noteworthy." He said franticly. "People aren't meant to be all those things!" he exclaimed as he faced Eric. He turned his face up to the ceiling and yelled. "Curse your need for perfection, Gus!"

Luz took her carton of apple blood and put the straw quickly in Gus' mouth, almost as if he young infant needing help holding his drink. "Okay, buddy, okay." Causing Gus to become more relaxed.

"Y'all are weird as heck, you know that right?" Eric chuckled.

Luz stuck her tounge out at Eric and turned to face Willow. "So, Willow…Wow, are you okay?" Luz said in a concerned voice as she noticed Willow beginning to rapidly sweat, prompting Eric to turn his head at what Luz had pointed out.

"When did it get so hot?" Willow spoke as if she were in a furnace. She took a massive drink of water from her cup and reached to the pitcher beside her and started pouring the water into the cup, before bringing the water closer to her and putting the water over herself, but something strange happened. Rather than the water running down the young witch, instead it immediately steamed, causing Eric to quickly move back.

"Uh…guys?" Eric said looking at his other two friends who were flabbergasted at the site in front of them. Almost in a cartoon fashion steam was coming from Willow's ears, she took her glasses off and started to wipe them so she could see, as she put them back on her irises receded into the pupils and her eyes were just white with two big black dots.

"Uh, hi. I'm willow." She said reaching out her hand towards Luz. "Remind me of your names." Willow said confused.

Gus rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. "This is serous journalism, Willow." He turned his head away with his eyes closed to highlight how serious he was being. "Clowning around will get you nowhere."

Eric and Luz looked at each other then back to willow, who had started to shake a little. "I'm…I'm serious. Who are you?" she said squinting her eyes trying hard to remember.

Gus turned his head back to look at his friend. "I'll admit, this amnesia spin has piqued my interest." Gus said with a hint of curiosity in his voice.

"Gus, buddy…" Eric spoke before Luz finished his sentence.

"It really seems like she's forgotten us." Luz stated with concern laced through her voice. "Like her memory is…" Luz continued before speaking aloud what just popped into her head. She remembered what Illusion Teacher had mentioned earlier, the fact that if the pictures were ever damaged, they could damage the memory themselves. The three went off into a sprint, Eric was carrying running behind Luz and Gus who barged open the Picture classroom.

"Hexside Free Press. What's going on here?" Gus asked in an accusatory voice.

Gus, Luz and Eric were shocked to find that Willow's picture rack was aflame and Amity Blight was attempting to put out the fire. Amity was blowing the pictures in a vain attempt to put out the fires from the two that didn't have large flames on them, before realizing the four who stood at the door. "Hi." She said meekly

"You destroyed Willow's memories?!" Luz asked in a voice that was a mix of shock in accusation.

"I saved as many as I could." Amity replied, showing the two pictures she saved.

"Yeah nice work, only two out of how many damaged?" Eric snapped back.

Amity was about to reply but she noticed a stray ember had landed onto the two pictures and instantly reduced it to ash, causing her to groan in annoyance. "Why would they make memories so flammable?!" she yelled.

The Eric, Gus, Luz and Amity noticed willow's shift in behavior, she was looking at her hand and speaking in a slurred voice. "Have I always had this crazy thing?" then she preceded to gently pat the top of Eric's head whilst making "blap" sounds.

"We can deal with this later, first of all we need to get Willow help." Eric spoke firmly. "Anyone got any ideas?" he asked trying to move his head away from Willow's patting.

"We could see Ida, she'd probably be the best bet and we don't exactly stay too far from here." Luz said in a serious tone.

"But what about the infirmary." Gus asked.

"Good point." Eric said about to turn away with Willow.

"Wait!" Luz yelled. "If we take her to the infirmary, they'll ask about what happened, and Amity will get into trouble." She continued.

"So?" Eric replied. "Her problem, she deals with the responsibility." He continued, annoyance layered through his voice.

"Look, just let me try and help Willow then afterwards we can talk about this?" Amity said, she gave Eric a look with genuine concern in her eyes. Eric could tell she was being truthful, he let out a sigh.

"Fine, we'll talk about this later, we need to get Willow back to the Owl House."
