Junko was worried. It wasn't something that normally happened but ever since Glenn had started to leave the village for hours on end she was getting worried. But she couldn't do anything, only a week had passed since he finally recovered and the blonde only seemed to be interested in elder dragons.

It frustrated her more that Sean didn't seem to care enough, going out in mission with Eu as Glenn and her stayed behind. She would have gone with them, but Glenn decided to stay behind, saying he had something to do...and she didn't want to go without him.

And that is what had brought her to now, her eyed glued to Glenn's form as he made his way through the thick forest, his azure boots gently crushing the fallen leaves as he continued forward. Junko stayed meters behind him, tailing his movements at a distance he would never be able to spot her.

Even if he was a good hunter, Junko had to admit he wasn't that good. But that just made her job of following him easier. Watching as Glenn walked into a clearing, Junko moved towards the tree line, keeping out of sight as the blonde stopped roughly at the centre.

Junko's blue eyes widened as she spotted a large Zinogre marching up to the blonde, its electro fur sparking as it growled at the blonde hunter. Junko had expected the blonde to take action, even stumbling back would make sense to her.

But what he did made her stare in utter disbelief.

He lifted his right hand towards the beast, stream of blue energy flowing from the ground, encircling his limb as the electro fur under the gauntlet sparked. Junko's eyes widened further as the wolf like monster nodded its head, lifting its own arm to match the blonde.

Soon, the sparking limbs touched, lightning coursing across the blondes armour, igniting the fur as the golden horn shifted, extending much like a Zinogre's did. Glenn slowly backed up, drawing his thunderclap as lightning cackled across the blade.

The zinogre followed suit, lowering its head as its hind legs tensed, preparing to lung forward. Junko stood frozen, watching both hunter and beast lunged, lightning clashing against lightning, claw meeting blade as the two battled.

The zinogre leaped into the air, twisting itself around as its spiked back descended down on the blonde. Only to miss as Glenn leaped backwards, the explosion of lightning washing over his sparking armour as he swept his Katana to the side.

Junko didn't think she could get anymore surprised, only to be proven wrong as Glenn swung his blade upwards, an arc of lightning exploded form his blade, sticking the zinogre as it rolled back to its feet.

Shaking off the attack, the beast lunged towards Glenn, its sparking claw descending on him as he stepped around the attack, his blade coming up and redirecting the claw down towards the ground beside him.

Junko couldn't see it but Glenn was grinning under his helmet, the Zinogre's jaw matching his expression as both leaped backwards. Lunging forward again, Glenn pushed lightning through his blade, lightning cackling across the thunderclap as the Zinogre's claw sparked in reply.

Both monster and hunter pushed against each other, the wolf looming over him as it strength started to push him down. Glenn fell to one knee, his blade just holding the claw at bay as the beast grinned down at him.

His eyes widened as it put all of its weight on his blade, lifting its free claw up as the large sparking wingers stretched outwards. Glenn didn't think as he leaned to the right, pushing the handle of his blade upwards as the beats claw slipped down the thunderclap.

The Zinogre's eyes widened in shock as it was thrown off balance, its body toppling over as it fell on its side, Glenn's Katana poised at its throat. Junko watched in bated breath, waiting for Glenn to end the beast, only to be shocked once again by what he did.

He lifted the blade away, sheathing it onto his back as he stood, allowing one of the most dangerous monster to stand back up, the lightning vanishing form its scales and fur as the blondes armour followed suit.

With a grin, the Zinogre nudged the blonde making him stumble as Glenn chuckled lightly in reply. Junko couldn't take it anymore, she wanted answers, she needed them, and she would get them. With that thought in mind, she stepped out from the tree line, her sniper trained on the large beats looming over her boyfriend.

"You did good pup, defeating one of the storm hunters in a fair battle is quite the feat" the voice inside Glenn head praised as the blonde smiled sheepishly. "I got lucky" he replied as both the voice and the monster before him scuffed.

"Even the hunter agrees with me pup, you have come far, your body is excepting the storm like one of us, soon you will be ready to face the beast" the voice said, reseeding into the back of the blondes mind until their next fight.

"Yeah, the beast" Glenn mumbled as the Zinogre nudged him, making him stumble back as he chuckled lightly. The beats had grown on him in the past week they had been training together. Not that it had been easy to get this far so quickly, the Zinogre had all but tried to kill him as soon as he was able to use even a tiny bit of lightning during a fight.

That was not a day he wanted to remember at all.

A soft crunch drew the twos attention, the Zinogre growling lowly as it prepared to lung over the blonde. Glenn only just turned as his eyes widened, a familiar head of pink hair walking out from behind the tree line, a large sniper aimed directly towards the wolf monster behind him.

"Wait...no!" he yelled, grabbing the Zinogre before it could leap towards the gunner. "Move Glenn, what are you doing!" Junko yelled, her sniper trained on the monster as her finger gently tugged against the trigger.

"What am I doing, why are you here, did you follow me?" Glenn asked in return, glancing back at her as his arm kept the beast beside him from moving. The Zinogre glaring down at him as its electro fur sparked threaten-ly.

"Yes I did" Junko replied shamelessly. "All week you have been sneaking off, and I find you fighting a Zinogre, using their powers, what's going on Glenn, what's happening to you?" she demanded as the blonde lowered his armoured head slightly.

"I'm training" he said as Junko lifted her eye away form her guns sight, giving him a confused look. "Training for what?" she asked as Glenn let the Zinogre go, nudging it away from the girl as it growled at him.

"To kill Alatreon" he said, his voice echoing as Junko almost dropped her sniper at his words. "What?" she asked in disbelief as the blonde turned to her, his eyes seemingly glowing from below his helmet.

"I'm training to kill the elder dragon of this island" he said again as Junko continued to stare at him. "Glenn, you can't beat it, that dragon is to strong, it would take ten G-rank hunters and a lot of luck to even hurt that beast" Junko pointed out as Glenn shook his head.

"I don't have a choice" he countered as Junko looked even more confused. "You always have a choice, we don't have to hunt that beast, we can just keep hunting other monsters" she said as Glenn growled.

"I can't!" he snarled, sparks cackling across the electro fur as Junko narrowed her eyes at him. "Then tell me why, what's going on Glenn, can't you tell I'm worried, everything you have been doing is so unlike you, what happened to you" Junko asked, her voice falling into a whisper as Glenn sighed.

"If I don't kill Alatreon, I'll be killed" he replied as Junko froze. "What?" she asked in horror, looking at the blonde as he refused to meet her eyes. "This...power I gained, its killing me, if I don't kill Alatreon, I'll be destroyed by it" he explained as Junko expression worsened.

"What but, it's the armour, just take it off!" she yelled as Glenn sighed. "It's not the armour, it's me, this power is in me, I don't have a choice Junko, its either I die because of it or I die fighting for a chance" he yelled in return as Junko stepped back slightly.

"Then let us help you!" She countered as the blonde shook his head. "No, this is my problem, I can't put you in danger" he said as Junko's face twisted in rage. Marching up to the blonde, she gripped the horns of his helmet before he could react and ripped it off his head.

The resounding slap echoing throughout the clearing as Glenn held his burning cheek, stumbling backwards as Junko held her extended hand, glaring at him as a red mark slowly formed on his cheek.

"Don't you ever say that again, I have been hunting monster far longer than you, I have almost been killed so many times and now you want to protect me, news flash Blondie, you're the one who always needs protected" she yelled as Glenn glanced up at her.

"This isn't your problem Junko, its mine so butt out!" he yelled in return as Junko glared at him. "Fine, go get yourself killed, see what I care" she yelled, running out of the clearing, leaving Glenn behind as he held his stinging cheek.

An annoyed scuff drew his attention as he turned to see the Zinogre glaring down at him. "I fucked up didn't I?" he asked as the wolf like monster sniffed, shaking its head before turning to go back to its den.

"Why me?" he mumbled, cradling his head in thought.

Back at the village, an annoyed Junko stormed past the huts, the villagers moving to get out of her way as they didn't want to get hit by the annoyed female. Sitting herself down at the bar, Junko waited for the chef to make her a meal as she scowled at the thought of that stupid blonde.

Protect her? He couldn't even save himself against a Jaggi.

Sean raised an eyebrow as he watched the angry pinkette dig into her meal, wondering what had set her off when she came back from the forest. Eu was beside him, idly playing with a horn from the Diablo's they were sent out to hunt, he was never going to relive the horrors the little silver haired girl did to that monster.

Anyway, Nodding to Eu, Sean made his way over to the bar, taking a seat beside Junko, not getting any sort of reaction as the girl continued to eat her meal. "So...what did he do this time?" he asked as Junko's eyes glanced at him for a second.

"Who?" she grumbled as Sean smiled slightly. "Oh you know, longish blonde hair, tainted blue eyes, pale white skin, whimpers at the thought of fighting monsters even if he is a high ranked hunter" Sean listed off as Junko slammed her glass into the table.

"That stupid blonde seems to enjoy the company of monster over us anyway" she snapped as the black haired teen frowned at her. "What are you talking about?" he asked as the girl looked back towards her empty plate.

"It makes sense now that I think about it, he owns a Rathalos as a pet, the elder dragons have a strange liking to him, and now he training with a Zinogre of all things to use their powers, he's more of like the monster that we hunt that a hunter" she said as Sean gave her a strange look.

"And?" he questioned as Junko paused at his reply. "Don't you care, he's practically living with those monster, creatures we are meant to hunt and kill!" she yelled as Sean shrugged. "I don't see that as a problem, Glenn's always been strange, so what if he has the help of monsters, we still get the job done in the end" Sean said as Junko glared at him.

"And what if he chooses them over us!" she challenged as Sean sighed, leaning back slightly in thought. "He won't" he said simply as the girl looked at him oddly. "How can you be so sure!" she yelled in frustration as Sean grinned widely at her.

"Because I know my best friend, I have faith in him, like you should, he cares for you Junko, never forget that" Sean said, slipping out of his seat as Junko sat in silence. "Stupid blonde" she mumbled, continuing her meal in silence.

Up above the island, the volcano rumbled, only the monsters closest to the burning mountain could feel it as a large monstrous formed stood inside the ever flowing cloud of ash. Pools of lava exploded upwards, gazers of the molten liquid erupting across the ground as the more docile monster ran in fear of what was to come.

Large retinal eyes snapped open, a horrific roar shaking the mountain top as others of its class raised their heads to the sound of their brother calling. The lighting horse rose its head, thunder booming over head as its sparking eyes narrowing in the direction of the deserted islands.

The monstrous sand leviathan stopped in its usual swim through the great desert, turning its rock like head in the roars direction.

The molten scales of the lava leviathan rose from the blood red lake, titling its head towards the great monster call.

The king of the wing paused in the creation of a new storm, turning to glare at the roar that challenged its rule.

The hidden demon, shrouded in a black smug raised its head form its endless slumber, scuffing in annoyance at the roar that called it.

Above the clouds, a mountain reaching the heavens themselves, the tip shook of the serpent king of the world hissed at the black dragons call.

It would seem their brother would be challenged soon, a new legend would be made in the coming days.
