Izzy and Alex (Grey's Anatomy)

A/N: I don't own any of the characters

Hermione sat at the bar of the Leaky Cauldron with Parvati Patil and Lavender Brown, not thinking about Harry. As she counted the donated funds for her most recent S.P.E.W. fundraiser, she was definitely not thinking about their first date. She was not thinking about how fun dinner was, or the way they looked at each other on the steps, or the way she stood so close, she could smell his cologne.

And as Padma Patil joined them at the table, she was definitely not thinking about how he didn't kiss her. She had looked positively kissable, right? And it was so obviously a date, right? So then why hadn't he leaned his lips the millimeter it would have taken to kiss her? She took a drink out of her wine glass for something to do and turned her attention to her friends, trying to put that disastrous end to a date out of her mind.

Her friends were deep in conversation about Padma snogging (and doing more) with her boss, Harris Cooke, without knowing he was married to one of the most prominent Healers at St. Mungoes, Alannah Dixon-Cooke. At least her troubles weren't that bad, she thought, feeling a fair amount of empathy toward Padma. The door of the bar jingled and she heard someone take a deep breath next to her. Hermione turned her face slowly, surprise turning her mouth into a perfect O when she saw none other than Harry Potter standing next to her.

"What?" she said angrily, sparing him only a glance before turning back towards the bar. She really didn't want to hear him break up with her here. But he stood quietly where he was until she turned back towards him. "What?"

They stared at each other for a moment before Harry grabbed her and leaned her down, his face following hers. She only had a second to get out a shriek before his lips were pressed against hers, kissing her the way she had hoped he would three nights ago after their date. She startled before kissing him back with the same intensity, unable to care that her three friends, not to mention the rest of the bar, were staring at them with blatant curiosity. All she could feel was the firmness, but softness of his lips on hers as they continued to kiss, his arms holding her in a vice-like grip so she wouldn't fall.

After an unclear amount of time, he set her back on the stool and she felt her hair wilder than normal around her.

"Goodnight," he said and walked away.

She straightened her hair in vain, staring ahead in disbelief, before she caught her friends' eyes and grinned wildly. They giggled together.

"Wow," Parvati said.

"Seriously," Hermione replied, taking a sip of her wine. She could feel a deep blush coloring her cheeks. The four of them spent another two hours at the bar, talking and laughing and helping Padma, and Hermione tried hard not to be too distracted by that kiss.
