It was a pair of pale lilac shoes that brought his attention to a pair of stocking covered legs dangling above the ledge leading to the gardens. A curious smile came to the face of the viewer.
The woman was grumbling to herself as she was trying to force herself further onto the ledge. Her slender legs flailing as she pushed herself up while reaching a thin hand to grab a black leather bound book.
Marcus grinned and shook his head just before hearing a feminine squeal of excitement as her tiny hand took hold of the planner. He watched her struggle a bit before his much taller self stepped up to her flailing legs.
"One would think this would not be a wise decision." Marcus drawled as he began to reach up to help her from her precarious position.
"Oh, no Master Marcus, I can get down by .." Jennifer started to stutter right before she felt strong hands gently wrap around her midsection.
"Hush and let me help you." Marcus sighed in exasperation as he wrapped his arms around her muscular thighs, "Relax and let go."
Jennifer felt her cheeks heat up as she obeyed him. She held her breath as she felt him lightly slide her down to the ground. When her cold feet touched the ground, her loose fingertips dropped the planner. She could only stare as his tall frame bent over to pick up the planner.
"Let's not lose this." Marcus said as he passed the planner into her hands, "not after you worked so hard to get it."
Marcus watched her startled expression carefully before kneeling down to look at her face. Her pretty cheeks were a vibrant shade of pink and her mouth was agape. He chuckled lowly before reaching for one of her delicate lilac pumps. It was a sharp intake of breath when he slid his fingers down her calf to lift her foot and slip the shoe on a tiny foot. By the time he finished with the other foot, he could hear her human heart beat wildly and feel a slight tremble in her body.
He ignored the temptation of kissing her inner thigh, worried the poor woman would faint. When he slowly stood up before her, he noticed her pupils were dilated, the blue completely taken over.
"Have a pleasant day Jennifer," he cooed at her still form. She was immobile until a firm hand pushed her back gently, "Off you go."
Marcus stood and watched her slowly shuffle down the hall towards her office, black leather planner in hand. The presence of Aro was expected, his form approach his from behind to stand next to him.
"You are most playful today brother dear," Aro said with glee as he watched her almost run into a corner.
"Perhaps we should play a game?"
"If it's a game you want," Marcus started before the two of them turned to look down the hallway at the object of their affection stumble into the large frame of Felix. "I believe I'm winning."
Aro watched him leave with a surprised look on his face before slowing turning back to watch Jennifer. A grin full of promise slowly made its way to his face.

It was midday when I finally came too. Questions jumbled my brain as I tried to figure out what happened. Today was my favorite work day and that man was making me miss it.
With a growl, I tore off my glasses and flung them away from me. I didn't bother looking when they were returned to my desk.
"What troubles are distressing you, Mia Cara?"
If the voice hadn't caught her attention than the confident hands on her shoulders did. She tried to resist but the talented hands firmly started to ease her shoulders.
It was taking every ounce of control to not pounce on the woman under his strong hands. It would be easy to pull up her form and bend her over her desk. The flowing skirt she wore would be easy to lift just before he took her.
Aro stopped and stood closely while plucking an invoice from her delicate fingers. "While I am aware that invoice day is your favorite day, you need a night off."
He didn't have to wait long for her to turn red and try to argue with him. "You will listen or I will do the invoices for you."
Jennifer shut her mouth immediately, "See, you can listen. Leave early this evening, have fun tonight."
She watched him saunter out of her office with indignation in her eyes. "Oh that pompous, no good scoundrel!'
Aro strolled past Marcus who crossed his arms, watching his brother with a grin on his face. The two of them walked to the throne room, listening to every complaint out of her pretty little mouth.
"She is awfully spirited." Marcus commented to Aro who was chuckling.
"You see what you have missed dear?" Aro replied while peering over at his brother. The smile on his face told him everything he wanted to see.
His brother was healing.
