Chapter 17

The three of them sat in her living room. Myzuki was having a little trouble processing the information she was just given. At first, it didn't make any sense to her. She was getting frustrated and didn't know if she should just walk away.

Earlier

Cokefire waited for them to sit down before he began.

"I'm going to put it simply. The two of you are brain chargers."

"What," they said in unison.

"Over the course of their research, the original designers of A·T realized that their technology could not be utilized fully by ordinary people. To overcome this problem, they created genetically modified children, raised under zero gravity conditions, who used A·T from birth. They posse's two major modifications to their cerebral cortex known as the Solid Sense Type and Biomass Gyroscope. Collectively, these enhancements grant them superlative ability in riding A·T. This allows them to see 3D scales of their surroundings. The Brain Charger Project was a bioengineering experiment headed by Professor Minami and sponsored by Sano Enterprises with the goal of replicating the abilities of Gravity Children. It was hoped that by transferring their traits into the bodies of ordinary people, an economical alternative to the expensive Gravity Children could be created. The Gravity Children, while possessing the potential to 'fly', also lacked the drive to do so; the Brain Charger Project also aimed to rectify this flaw,"

"What does that have to do with any of us," Myzuki asked.

"Is it because of my uncle," asked Ikki.

"Yes Ikki and well in Myzuki's case the research was continued in the states and Nike was the one that over saw the operations over there," Cokefire continued.

"Are you saying that I was experimented on," She couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"Yes,"

"How are you so sure?"

"We initially just suspected but had no way of knowing. However, from what I walked in on just now suggests that without a doubt you're a brain charger. The density in the air, no normal human would have been able to with stand it. There is also a matter of your regalia ability manifesting itself and intermingling the way it was. I've never had the pleasure of witnessing anything like this before but I was entrusted with Spitfire's journals; they're quite vivid,"

She couldn't stop the blush from creeping up her neck and flushing her cheeks.

"Heavens where are my manners. I haven't properly introduced myself," He said as he got up and made his way towards her.

"Everyone knows me as Cokefire," He bent low then.

He placed a soft seductive kiss on the top of her hand.

"But you can call me Kokuen," He whispered.

"I know you are not hitting on my girlfriend right in front of me and I know that you just didn't come all the way out here to just tell us all this," Ikki intervened.

Myzuki looked at him slacked jaw.

"Did he really just call me his girlfriend so casually," She thought.

"Relax. I meant no harm. I can't help myself around a pretty face." Cokefire defended.

"This is a lot of information to process right now. Not to mention I have a more pressing matter,"

"I'm aware of the current situation with your father. This is why I'm here.

Present

"So, what are we going to do about my dad?"

"We can't have you handing over that piece of tech to him. This person is more dangerous than Sora, mainly because of his thirst for revenge."

"Sora? Who's that?"

"It's a long story. One that we don't have the time to get into now."

"The issue is to find out his motive for revenge and use it against him. It's obvious that he is desperate for the regalia's. Your dad is his only insurance policy. As long as he still has value, he will be safe."

"Are you serious? I am not going to risk my dad's life here."

"Right now that is our only option."

"Then how do we go about getting the Intel we need."

"No worries love, I have my people already working on that."

"So we just wait," Myzuki asked.

"Sort of… I'm thinking that you guys lay low and do some train, because what is coming; you guys are going to need it."

"What the hell Cokefire! I'm already a bad ass."

"No Ikki a true bad ass never turns down training."

Myzuki giggled at this.

"So, it settled then. I suggest you love bird's pack some things and we'll get going then."

"Where are we heading," Ikki asked.

"Isn't obvious bad ass? Where you guys trained the last time."
