As the van rumbled along the road, its tires humming against the pavement, Izuku sat in the back, enveloped in silence.

The dim light seeping through the van's back window barely illuminated the vacant interior. The air inside the van was heavy with anticipation, the quietness only accentuating the tension he felt. With each passing mile, the rhythmic vibrations of the van seemed to reverberate through his body, creating an internal symphony of introspection. His thoughts danced in the silence, weaving through memories, hopes, and fears, as the world outside whizzed by in a blur of noise since he couldn't see much through the small window in the door.

As the minutes turned into hours, Izuku could only stare at the slate wall in front of him as the vehicle continued driving steadily. The silence became a companion, wrapping around him like a cloak, providing solace and refuge from the outside of the van he was in. In this moment of stillness, emotions swirled within—uncertainty, reflection, and perhaps even a glimmer of resilience.

The outside world continued its ceaseless motion for a few minutes more, until finally, the van screeched to a halt, stopping in front of a large building Izuku figured was the so-called mental facility he'd been forced to.

The imposing building stood tall with long lengths of gray brick walls dressed in small windows plastered across, seeming to let in little to no sunlight during daytime. This is definitely not a place I want to stay in... Izuku thought, squinting out of the small window to see more of the building. A few seconds passed when the van's engine hummed idly before it turned off completely, and the greenette heard figures approaching the doors that were shutting him into the back of the van.

"Out you get." One of the men opened the door, motioning for Izuku to clamber out of the van; he silently stepped out, finally managing to get a good look at the building towering up ahead of him. "Alright, quit standing around. Follow me," the other man ordered, yanking the teen to follow him.

The walk to the building's entrance didn't take long, and soon the large metal doors to the facility swung open, revealing a somber hallway lined with pale green walls. The flickering fluorescent lights cast an eerie glow, amplifying the tension in the atmosphere. A few staff members hurriedly passed by, their footsteps echoing in the corridor as they dissapeard and reappeared back and forth in the hallway. The greenette observed the building interior as he followed the two men; passing a sign, he finally saw where he'd been taken: Serenity Haven.

He had heard rumors about this place...Not good ones at that.

Despite being nervous about what was to come, Izuku continued following the two men until they reached their destination by a room at the end of the hallway. Unnecessarily, one of the men ushered the greenette into the room and closed the door before they just left; they clearly weren't in charge of him anymore, so it didn't matter to them how the teen was being treated.

What is this room? Izuku pondered, inspecting the room he was in.

After a few seconds, it dawned on him, that the room he currently was in, reminded him of an interrogation room; ones they have in police stations, to interrogate...criminals.

Izuku didn't have any more time to think about it before the door opened again; in walked a woman, with a heavily armored guard in her heels. The woman looked middle-aged; tall, with long dark brown hair, making its way past her shoulders. On her face rested a pair of glasses, and she was dressed in worn-out jeans, paired with a loose black cardigan.

"Izuku Midoriya, am I correct?" She reached out a greeting hand; Izuku greeted back half heartily before she gestured for him to sit down in the chair behind him. "My name is . Im gonna be in charge of your evaluation today." Izuku nodded, vaguely remembering one of the men from earlier said something about an evaluation to determine if he needed to stay there or not. He hoped that the woman wouldn't make him stay because he wasn't even supposed to be in this building at all.

"There's no need to try and evaluate me, Im not supposed to be here to begin with. It's all just a big mistake-" Izuku protested but immediately got hushed by the woman sitting in front of him. So, I have no say in this? Izuku rolled his eyes, but stayed quiet and let the doctor evaluate him, whatever that was supposed to reveal.

Honestly, this a waste of both their time...The doctor would soon realize that.

"Alright, let's start with the basics then. Tell me about your relationship with your parents, friends, and maybe, teachers at school?" Izuku nodded, and told the truth; at least for that part, he had nothing he needed to keep out of the picture. "So, what about school? You recently changed schools to UA, but how was your school life before that? Any troubles with making friends or things like that?"

"If I rule out Kacchan and the bad stuff, then no problem at all..." Izuku muttered under his breath. It took him a second to realize the doctor had heard what he said and she was patiently waiting for him to elaborate. "I mean, middle school wasn't my greatest point in life. I had a classmate who...um, bullied me for being quirkless." The greenette glanced away as the hurting memories came flooding back to him.

All he wanted was to forget middle school at all costs, but no, here he was... remembering it all like it was just yesterday.

"So your classmates bullied you for being quirkless. And how did that make you feel?" The doctor asked, writing down some notes on her clipboard. Izuku just glared at the woman, annoyed that she couldn't take the hint to stop asking questions about the subject.

"I don't want to talk about it..." Was the response she got, and Izuku stuck with his answer; he was not gonna say any more to the woman. For the rest of the evaluation, jotted down notes as Izuku continued telling his life story. During this time, she had observed the number of scars and bruises on the greenette's hands and arms, and without asking him about it, she made her own conclusions on how Izuku got those.

She didn't have the full story, yet she decided that keeping the restless boy under observation for the week was gonna keep her at ease, getting to know if the teenager in front of her, really was as fine as he said. She wanted to keep an eye on him because she was getting concerned with the ease the greenette was retelling his past trauma; as if it didn't matter to him.

knew by now it was her job to do something about it because this was not healthy behavior in her judgment.

"The call we got was right about you. You're a mess.." She said. "After double-checking everything you've said, Im gonna conclude the evaluation over. Despite everything you have said, it has me quite concerned, and therefore even though you said you're not supposed to be here...Im saying otherwise. Im admitting you for a week under observation here at Serenity Haven, no arguments." explained; Izuku sat still for a moment, trying to process what the woman just had told him.

He was gonna be forced to stay under observation for a...week!? All because of an anonymous call?

"No! You can't keep me here! You have no right-" Izuku stood up, glaring down at the woman, who just meekly sat and observed his livid reaction. Who does she think she is, ordering me to stay here for no reason! Im fine! Izuku hissed but plopped down on the chair again in defeat. He quickly realized that he had no authority over the situation, so he just gave up.

All he had to hope for, was the following day when Aizawa could come visit and hopefully get him out of there.

"Alright, then it's settled. It's only for a weeks time Izuku, it will pass by quickly as long as you behave." explained, motioning for him to stand up and follow her out of the room. Izuku, knowing this was gonna be his so-called home for the coming week, quickly followed the woman to another room; upon entering the new room, his blood froze in his veins.

The room was barely furnished, lit in a desolate sterile color making the greenette feel the chill the tiled walls were emitting.

Now he knew for sure this was a mental facility...

"Put all loose belongings in the box." The doctor ordered, placing a plastic box on the table in the room. Izuku cautiously approached the box, and started slowly emptying his pockets; he didn't have much with him because he'd been taken directly from training. "Alright, I'll keep this for the week. While I go put your belongings away, please undress and stand over there." She gestured to the other end of the room, where two guards stood basically waiting for him.

Without making a fuss about the weird request, he walked over and was moved to stand on a specific spot; right above a shower drain it. Oh shit... Izuku knew what was gonna happen, and he knew he wasn't gonna like it in the slightest.

The greenette took a few steps away from the spot, before one of the guards stepped in his way, pretty much forcing him to go back.

"Go ahead." He heard the doctor say, and before he had any time to get ready, the guards approached him and started cleaning him from top to toe.

"Get off me!" Izuku screeched, trying to get the guards to stop scrubbing him down so harshly; the rags they were using, felt like they were dragging spikes along his skin, and not cloth. "I said, let go!" Before Izuku had time to realize what he'd done, the guards had been yanked backward, both having the teen's Blackwhips quirk wrapped around their torsos.

"You haven't even been here ten minutes and you're already causing a scene!" The doctor had stood and observed him from afar when she suddenly snapped. Izuku reluctantly released the guards from Balckwhip, and stood ashamed while they finished scrubbing him down; this time, the greenette stayed quiet.

"Im gonna have to do something to avoid that happening again." The doctor muttered, handing Izuku a gray top, with matching pants; the greenette got dressed in silence. "Now hand me your wrists." She ordered, and Izuku reluctantly brought his hands forward. She quickly placed anti-quirk cuffs around his wrist, preventing him from being able to use his quirk during the rest of his stay.

Probably for the best, since his outburst now really wasn't intentional...

"Im sorry..." Izuku muttered, but the doctor clearly wasn't listening. Instead, she grabbed something from the table, turning around, she handed Izuku two small pills. What makes her think I'm gonna swallow pills when there's nothing wrong with me? Izuku thought, staring at the pills in his palm.

"This is a drug called Neticinol, it has calming effects and is one of the most used drugs in this facility for the patient here. Now swallow them." The doctor ordered; Izuku on the other hand didn't. "I suggest you do what you're told now unless you want to see where struggling patients end up. You decide yourself how flexible your week in here will be, starting now."

Izuku sighed, and finally swallowed the pills; he didn't feel much at first, but suddenly minutes later when he was being led out of the room, his anxiety ceased.

"Here is your room..." The doctor suddenly stopped in front of a door, opening it to reveal a cramped space with a bed, a table, and a toilet. This was starting to feel much more like a prison, than a mental facility. "You will be given food at specific times, but until tomorrow, you are going to stay in your room and get accustomed to your new surroundings." explained, motioning for Izuku to enter the room.

This is gonna be hell... Izuku sighed, plopping down on the bed. Since there wasn't much to do in the small room, and he had no form of entertainment at the moment, all he could do was to stare at the wall ahead.

He had no idea how much time had passed, but suddenly the door opened again and a guard handed him a plate of food. "You will get to eat in the cafeteria starting tomorrow by lunch. Also, when the lights turn off, you go to sleep like asked." Izuku nodded, grabbing the plate of food.

The food didn't look the least appetizing, and Izuku decided he wasn't gonna eat the food; it would probably only come back up if he tried.

He put the plate aside and continued staring at the wall until the lights suddenly switched off in the room.

Oh right, the guard told me earlier that it's time to sleep when the lights turn off...I've already been here for a whole day. Izuku thought; he crawled into the bed and groaned when the textures of the sheets rubbed uncomfortably against his skin. At least have decent bedsheets... Izuku hissed, trying to get comfortable in bed.

Finally, after minutes of tossing and turning, he managed to fall asleep.

Izuku woke up to the sound of the door to his room opening. He barely had any time to understand what was going on, before entered the room, with a guard in her heels, once again.

"Good, your awake." The doctor chirped; she observed him for a second before continuing. "Here's your breakfast, eat up." She handed Izuku a plate, containing the bare minimum of what could be called breakfast. If he was gonna be here for a week and not get fed like a normal human, then he would be walking out of the facility as skinny as a stick.

Not in the mood to start the day arguing with the doctor, Izuku ate up only half of it; the doctor clearly wasn't satisfied with this, but didn't mention it.

"So, as I explained to you yesterday, it's visitation day once a week. Your teacher and mother were very persistent, so they are waiting outside..." explained, gesturing for Izuku to follow her to the common room he had merely passed by the prior day.

Finally, I can get out of here. Izuku sighed, following the doctor, itching to meet Aizawa and his mother.

When the greenette saw the two of them sitting by a table, he ran to hug his mother, who was quick to get defensive around her son.

"How on earth did this happen?! I was just told you had been taken here to Seritny Haven, for no reason-" Izuku saw the annoyed glare was giving his mother, but he ignored her, too busy in his mother's embrace. "My son is not supposed to be here, don't you understand that?"

"Mam, the decision is final. Despite how this has happened, I have personally evaluated your son, and he's shown signs that told me to keep him here for observations. It's only for a week, and there is nothing that can be done to change the decision." The doctor responded; Inko was quick to give up the argument.

Both Izukus mother, and Aizawa knew they were not going to be able to revere the decision, and Izuku had accepted that at this point.

Izuku glanced at his teacher and mother, and gave them a tired look, basically telling them: You tried your best, but all we can do is wait for me to be allowed out.

"Im sorry we cant do anything Izuku...I guess all you can do is wait this one out." Aizawa muttered; he brought up his hand, pinching his nose bridge in frustration. The situation at hand was never supposed to happen in the first place. "Im gonna do everything I can do to figure out how this has happened. As for now, time is running out and I have to get back to UA." He said, standing up. Izuku saw his mother stand up aswell, and he figured she had to get back to work too.

"We will be sure to wait outside when you are getting out. See you Izuku, take care." Aizawa said, patting the teen on the head, before he was escorted out together with his mother by a guard.

The security was unbelievably high for being a mental facility...

Guards were literally everywhere, and they were heavily armed, so escaping wasn't even on the bucket list.

It's just for a week... Izuku reminded himself, before turning his attention back to . The doctor guides him to the facility's common room; a big room, barely furnished except for a few tables and chairs, some bookshelves with reading corners, and a small kitchen area at the other end of the room where some patients were chatting.

"You will probably spend most of your time here, so you might as well get to know the others. Just remember, any funny business and there will be consequences." The doctor explained, before leaving him stranded in the common room.

Izuku, not feeling too keen to converse with the other patients just yet, went over to the far end of the room and sat down by a table in the corner.

He sat in silence, just idly sitting there, observing the other patients. Some were sitting reading, while others were having a snack. Two people were sitting and talking by a nearby table, and then there was one person who was... approaching him?

"Well, well well...Look what the cat dragged in. Welcome to Serenity Haven, Izuku Midoriya~"

After finally getting a good look at the person's face, he froze in fear seeing who it was. Like this couldn't get any worse... Izuku gulped, glaring at the person.

He was doomed, and he hadn't even been there more than a day.
