Later that day Beatrice was out hanging posters for the ceremony while Roy did some research on Burrowing Owls. "Yes! They're legally protected." He cheered.
Meanwhile Beatrice made a call. "Hello, this is Monica calling from Mother Paula's to confirm that the mayor will be here at 3:30 for the ceremony."
"Today?" Said the person on the other line. "I have it scheduled for tomorrow." She said.
"That's why I'm calling." Said Beatrice. "We had to reschedule due to an unexpected rain. Mother Paula can do many things but she can't change the weather, that would be Mother Nature."
Garret was also part of the plan now. "Hey if you wanna bring two camera, that's what WZBY is bringing but I'm just the PR guy at Mother Paula's you guys are the journalists."
Later Roy went to City Hall to get some stuff.
"Here's everything you asked for." Said the man who gave Roy the stuff.
As Roy looked through he noticed a page had been torn out. "That's weird."
Officer Delinko was also there and he noticed Roy.
"Roy?" He said.
"Officer Delinko, what a nice surprise." He said.
"Roy why were you looking at those files?" He asked.
"Officer Delinko do you trust me?" Roy asked.
"I guess." He said.
"Then come to the Mother Paula's ceremony at 3:30 today." Roy told him. "Everything will be explained there."
"Alright, I trust you." Delinko said.
"Thank you." Roy said before leaving.
Meanwhile back at the sight Muckle was waiting for Curly to come back. "Where is that nitwit?" Suddenly he saw the owls and grabbed a nearby fire extinguisher.
"Thinking about crashing my party, how 'bout a little arctic blast to change your mind?" He said as he began spraying on the owls. "Say hi to Jack Frost." Soon Mullet showed up.
"I wouldn't do that again if I were you." He said.
"Who's gonna stop me you?" He asked not intimidated.
"You asked for it." Mullet said before throwing a fishing net on Muckle.
"Hey!" Muckle yelled before Mullet tripped him, knocking him out.
"Ouch." Mullet said.
Meanwhile class had already started when Roy walked in.
"Roy, you're late." Mr. Ryan pointed out. "Take a seat."
"Mr. Ryan I know this is gonna sound weird but can I make an important announcement." Roy asked. Mr. Ryan nodded.
"I know you all don't know me vey well but I need help." Roy started explaining. "You all need to come to the Mother Paula ceremony right after school." Roy said before sitting down. But in reality he snuck out.
Soon Roy met up with Beatrice in the hall.
"Alright I told the hole class, we need to get out of here." Roy told her.
"Then let's go." Beatrice said to him.
Soon the two made their way out of the school and to the docks. They took a boat and started going to the sight. When they were somewhere in the everglades Beatrice stopped the boat.
Roy was confused. "Beatrice what are you doing?" He asked.
"Roy, listen." Beatrice spoke. "Before we go to the sight can I talk to you about something important."
"Well okay." Roy told her.
"Well when we first met I wasn't to fond of you." Beatrice said. "But you did a lot to help me and you kept your promise not to tell anyone anything."
"Yeah I'm sure you'd do the same." Roy told her.
"What I'm trying to say is..." Beatrice stopped.
"You're trying to say what?" Roy asked.
"That I have feelings for you." She finally admitted.
Roy was stunned. "Beatrice I don't know what to say."
"Don't say anything." She said. "Just kiss me."
"Kiss you?" Roy asked.
"I promise I won't bite if that's what you're worried about." Beatrice told him.
Soon Beatrice pressed her lips to Roy's. Roy was surprised but began kissing back. The kiss lasted for an entire minute before the two parted.
"So are we boyfriend girlfriend now?" Beatrice asked.
"Yeah." Said Roy.
"Great but let's keep this to ourselves alright." She said. Roy nodded.
The two soon made their way to the sight.
