A knock on the door stopped Itachi from writing more. He closed his eyes to focus on the outsider's chakra and gasped lightly. He went to answer the door and saw the blonde-haired hokage looking at him with his blue eyes. He was smiling at him with a gentle disposition.

"Naruto?" Itachi questioned.

"Hey, Tachi-kun!" he responded. "I saw your wife in town this afternoon. Figured you'd be nearby."

Itachi smirked then turned to Aelita's direction and said, "She tends to wander about the village alone nowadays. When it's time to call it a day, she'll find me. I think she has a tracking device on me sometimes."

"That's good," Naruto replied. "Means she worries about you. Same way you worry about Sasuke."

When the name reached Itachi's ears, his eyes softened into a remorseful expression. Naruto, of course, took notice to this and reduced his bright smile to something between a smirk and a forced curve of lips. He knew about Itachi visiting Sasuke for some time now. Naruto had met Aelita first when he bumped into her in the market. She was buying a cloak and hat for her husband as she walked through the streets. Though many merchants tried to offer her different things for her to wear or use, she mainly bought house slippers and maternity kimonos. At the time, she was either expecting another child or was just restocking on casual wear for her little ones. Believing she was a single mother since no one knew her or her husband, a few men tried their luck. She declined many offers with exception to one. Iruka gave her candy and other treats for the children, which made Naruto curious about her. No man could possibly say Aelita was less than gorgeous, so Naruto decided to ask for her name and what she was doing in the village. He knew Aelita wasn't from their village dressed in her silk gowns or plated armor.

She had a strange symbol on her weapons and attire. When he finally took a good look at her, he almost regretted being engaged, but he would take that fact with him to the grave. It was then he discovered her blindness and marital status when he saw the silver ring on her finger, and it was then he sighed in relief that the woman was taken. She explained ever so subtly that her husband was in town, but he didn't want to be seen in the village by anyone other than either Sasuke or the hokage. Naruto admitted that he had recently taken up his seat and was more than happy to give her a tour of the village. She accepted the tour and, though she couldn't see the physical beauties of his hometown, she showed Naruto how she used chakra to view the world. That chakra actually gave forms and colors for her to touch and taste with a different set of eyes. Impressed by this, the blonde spoke to beauty like a regular person instead of someone with a handicap.

When the two walked into the forest, where Itachi was hidden, Aelita dressed her husband in his new disguise and asked for Naruto's opinion after giving him a kiss. Itachi was more than flabbergasted as was Naruto, but the hokage soon became acquainted with the couple quite well to the point where he accidentally referred to them as family members like sister or mom for Aelita and brother or father for Itachi. Neither of them minded and Naruto became a regular visitor of the couple when they were in town. This was what troubled the blonde. They came to Konoha almost every week and he allowed them to enter freely but they never saw his other friends.

Naruto then asked, "Itachi, how long do you plan on following him around?"

"... This is the last night," Itachi said with a strong nervousness in his voice. "I'm bringing my family here to see our clan. After that, I tell him the truth. Fifteen years in hiding is enough now."

"Why don't you let them travel about on their own first?" Naruto asked, suggesting this with a soft smile. "See if there's something they like. You spoil them enough."

Itachi pokes Naruto in the forehead and says, "I guess I spoiled you and Sasuke enough for a while. You're both crazy kids."

"You know, he asks about you sometimes. As the old man. He wonders if you're a survivor of the massacre. I guess he doesn't know how right he is," Naruto says, placing a hand on Itachi's shoulder. "My son asked me to give you this. It'll help that limp you got the other day. Taiyo said you tried to catch a fox."

Itachi nodded with a small scowl that was soon replaced by a smirk at the memory. He then said, "Aelita managed to befriend a family of foxes in the forest. One of the babies took her sash and I tripped in it trying to get it back. Apparently, the damn thing likes cookies. Taiyo gave one to it before the mother fox gave her the sash back. Taiyo laughed for hours."

"That's ma boi!" Naruto exclaimed in a whispering cheer.

Itachi chuckled silently, ruffling Naruto's hair as though he were six. He then heard his wife stirring again and turned to look back at her. Naruto hummed in response at the sound of Aelita's soft purr and smiled gently at her when he saw her tussled pale blue-green hair curled about on her pillow. She was dressed in a well-fitted sleeping gown that seemed to be sheer from the boob down. Damn these fine women! First, his wife Hinata, of course, and then Itachi's wife, Aelita. They even had the same pale-colored eyes except Aelita was blind.

"I have to thank you," Itachi said with a quiet voice. "For keeping us in hiding for so long."

"Well, you're great at babysitting," Naruto said, grinning sheepishly. "Been nice having that service in exchange. Since you're finally making a grand appearance, may as well tell you what I asked your wife a while back."

"Trying to steal her, are you?" Itachi questioned, shooting a mischievous glare at the blonde. Of course, he'd kill many a nation before he gave up Aelita.

"Do you have any idea what Hinata's clan would do to me if I stepped out on her?" Naruto shouted in whispers, blushing madly.

"Not as much as what I'm going to do if I ever see you touching my wife in a way that's not friendly or child-like," Itachi threatened, awakening an unfamiliar technique that struck fear into the hokage.

"What is with you guys?! I just asked her if she wanted to see about forming an alliance with us!" Naruto tried in whispers.

"A what?" Itachi asked, shocked from this revelation.

"An alliance," the blonde said simply. "She said you both were part of some emperor's army in her village. There are many shinobi there, I hear. You've even gotten stronger in their system. Maybe others can do the same."

"What did she say?"

"She only promised to think on it, but I think the decision rests with you. You were part of us once. It also rests with Sasuke. He's the acting member of the Uchiha clan now, and you'd be acting as an ambassador and as a retired member of your clan, I think. In order to restore the name and its status, the new founding fathers would have to assume control and rebuild what was once a proud clan. I figured that'd be a good reason to consider the alliance. Aelita would obviously have to talk to the emperor about it all, but it's a thought," Naruto explained.

"It appears I have some thinking to do. You have a village to run."

"Wait, Itachi, I need your advice on something."

"Hm?"
