"So… what's going on, Kat?"
Katryelle leaned back in her seat as she and her boyfriend Leeroy drove to her house from the date they'd just had.
"We ain't talked in three days… you ain't mad or nothin'… right?"
"No… busy actually."
"Oh… the uh, the weird British guy again?"
"He's not British. He's Gallifreyan."
"Katryelle… there aren't any aliens. He's a British loser who lives in a phone booth."
"He's a Time Lord, Leeroy. You've met him. You were in the TARDIS."
"I still say he's nuts. What kind of moron goes around… you know…"
"I say you're jealous of a guy who doesn't like me the way you seem to think he does."
"Damn it, Kat… then why are you constantly seeing him?"
"Is my answer gonna just be wrong no matter what it is?" she asked, cocking her head.
"It's got me worried…"
"It's got you jealous!"
Leeroy pulled onto the shoulder of the road near a seemingly abandoned driveway. A decently sized house was at its other end.
"You seem to wanna spend more and more time with this guy!" he cried as they got out of the car.
"The universe is in peril!"
"Aliens ain't…"
"Don't you dare say that! Not after the Daleks attacked Nashville and killed your father!"
"Daleks aren't real and you leave my father out of this!"
"Is your love for me real, Leeroy? Or am I just arm candy? What, I can't see my friends? Are you gonna put in a cage, Leeroy?"
"Katryelle…"
"Leeroy… please," she sighed. "He's the universe's only hope."
Leeroy nodded. "Well, he can take you home, then." He got into his car.
"Don't leave me here!"
But Leeroy sped off, leaving behind a distraught, flabbergasted Katryelle.
Alexander smirked as he destroyed another holographic Dalek with what he called his "Exterminator." The Armalite/Dalek gunstick hybrid was in perfect order, as usual. He was about to give another holographic target a taste of Gallifreyan wrath when a chime sounded.
"Probably the Doctor…". He made his way to the door, and Victor gave a nod as he took over the shooting range. Alexander opened the door, and his face fell. "Oh no, no, no…" he said gently.
Katryelle's face was stained with tears, her eyes reddened slightly.
"Katryelle, what happened?"
Katryelle buried her head in Alexander's chest and sobbed as he gently held her. "He… he dumped me! He literally dumped me! He… we were arguing and… and we got out of the car, he got back in and just… just drove off!"
"He did not," growled Alex.
"He thinks I'm with the Doctor; that's ridiculous!"
He rocked her gently as he closed the door. "Did he hit you?"
"N-no… he never did anything like that."
Alex stroked Katryelle's soft hair as she cried again.
"Shhh…" he whispered, "Shhh… let's get you settled."
He gently carried Katryelle to a cozy room with a fireplace and a soft couch, setting her down.
Katryelle slid her shoes off, curling up on the couch and sniffling as Alexander covered her with a plush comforter.
"You're sweet…" she murmured thickly.
Alexander gently stroked Katryelle's hair. "Do you need anything?" He asked gently.
"Stay…" she whispered, closing her eyes contentedly. "Please…"
He gently rubbed her back, listening to her deep, slow breathing. Soon, Katryelle's frame went limp as she let out a soft hum.
Katryelle had fallen asleep.
Alexander smiled as he stood.
"Goodnight," he whispered before he left. As he did so, he felt both of his hearts give a jolt as his stomach seemed to float into his chest cavity.
Did he actually…? A human? Well, he didn't mind humans… he went to his own room and decided to get in his eight hour of sleep for the week. Nothing better to do…
