The wedding was fast approaching and everyone was getting everything on their end ready.
(CAMILIA MASHA)
"Ok, Ms. Noceda, I brought some," Masha said as they walked through the door holding multiple dresses.
Since Vee was helping Luz with stuff in the Boiling Isles, Camila was helping Masha figure out what to wear at the wedding. Camila already had what she was wearing, but Masha still didn't have any idea what was appropriate.
Camila walked through to the living room from the kitchen to see her adopted daughter's partner. "How many did you bring? "
Masha glanced at all the dresses they were holding "About 9 or 10"
"Did you have to bring so many? "
"It's a wedding in a different world!" Masha exclaimed. "I didn't know what would be the best one for that kind of event."
Camila just went along with it. She knew that Masha was a bit nervous about going to the demon realm for the first time.
"Alright let me look through them. " Masha handed the dresses to Camila who started to quickly go through the dresses to see which she thought would be the best.
While they were waiting, Masha noticed 13 gold coins in a fancy box on the table. "What are those for? "
"Hm? " Camila stopped what she was doing and looked at the coins. "Oh! Those are Arras."
"Arras?" Masha said in a questioning way.
Camila started to explain "Unity coins. It's a tradition in a Dominican wedding. It's a pledge to provide for one another, so Luz will give them to Amity during the ceremony."
When discussing the wedding, Luz told Amity she wanted some Dominican wedding traditions. Of course, Amity was supportive of this and passed the info on to Camila.
Masha picked one coin up and looked at it. "These are so pretty!"
Camila smiled at that as she handed Masha the dark purple dress. "I think we should go with this one. Go put it on and let me see what it looks like."
"Alright," Masha took the dress and went to the bathroom to change into it.
"Are you still nervous about going there?" Camila asked from the other side of the door.
"A Little bit, but I'm mostly excited to see a different world," Masha answered.
"There's nothing to be nervous about. Yeah, there are a bunch of unusual things there, but nothing super dangerous. Plus, there will be people there to make sure nothing happens to you", Camila reassured.
"How's it look?" Masha asked as they walked out, showing the dress on them.
Camila gave thumbs up "Perfect! You look amazing! "
Now both of them were completely ready for the event.
(ALADOR DARIUS)
Alador and Darius both were looking at Alador's newest creation. An abomination contraption that didn't look very intimidating and wasn't as large as Alador's other creations. But this one was incredibly strong and fast.
Alador turned to Darius. "What do you think?"
Darius looked at the contraption with his hand on his chin. "Very good, but did you have to make over 20 of them? Seems a bit excessive for a wedding."
"Don't underestimate how cunning Odalia can be. I'm not letting her ruin this for Amity," Alador said.
Ever since Alador heard that Odalia was trying to prevent the wedding, he was working night and day. He's been trying to create something to keep her away and came up with this. Abomination guards that are designed specifically to keep Odalia out since she was the only one that would try to stop the wedding.
Darius shakes his head at the situation. "These should keep her out. I still can't believe that she cares so much about Amity marrying a human. Especially after she disowned her"
Alador hated talking about his ex-wife so he tried to change the subject. "Don't you have a role in the wedding? "
Darius nodded. "I'm officiating it. "
That info kind of surprised Alador. "How did they get you to do that?"
Darius lightly shrugged his shoulders. "Simple. Hunter told me that they needed someone to officiate it, and I said I would."
"You've gotten soft, "Alador said, intentionally trying to annoy Darius.
Now it was Darius' turn to change the subject. "Wanna run a few more tests? "
Alador nodded in response. The day went on and after a few tests, it was clear that these new security abominations would be enough to keep out the unwanted guest.
(BOSCHA SKARA)
Boscha was sitting on the chair scrolling through her Penstagram while waiting on Skara to get out of the changing room.
"How does this one look?" Sara asked as she walked out of the changing room wearing a long red strapless dress.
Boscha looked away from her Penstagram to look at Skara. "It looks fine, Skara," She said, annoyed. "Just like the last 15 you tried on."
Skara put her hands on her hips and stared at Boscha. "Can you try and take this a bit more seriously? You haven't even looked for any dresses for yourself"
"I'm just gonna wear a dress I already have"
"You can't do that!"
Boscha groaned, thinking Skara was taking this way too seriously. "Why? It's just a wedding!"
Skara facepalmed: "Just a wedding? It's the first between a witch and a human, and on top of that, they are both of our friends."
Boscha was caught off guard by that statement. "Ehhhhh, I think calling us friends is a little much."
"Oh, stop it, " Skara said, cutting Boscha off. " They invited you to the wedding. Not only that, you came to Luz's party months ago and helped Amity with her plan to purpose. You also wouldn't help Amity's mom stop the wedding. Do you expect me to believe that you don't at least have a soft spot for them?"
This small lecture made Boscha's face match her hair. Yes, she did have a soft spot for Amity and Luz now. It started mostly as gratitude for helping the Boiling Isles and freeing her friends. At some point during the time the Isles were being rebuilt, Boscha started to develop this soft side. But she would never say it out loud.
Boscha thought Skara had a point though. If she was invited, then Luz and Amity must have thought of her as somewhat of a friend. "Fine! I'll get a new dress!"
Skara smiled and clapped her hands. "How many snails do you have?"
"Well..." Boscha said with a devilish grin, going into her bag and pulling out an envelope. "Amity's mom never took these back after she tried to pay me to stop the wedding."
"You're still pure evil, Boscha," Skara said with a grin.
"I'd like to think of it as necessary evil."
(AMITY AND WILLOW)
Amity and Willow were having lunch to take a break from all the craziness. The wedding was fast approaching and Willow saw that Amity was a nervous wreck. So Willow felt that she needed some downtime. But Amity was still acting nervous for some reason.
"Soooooo Amity," Willow said, trying to start a conversation. "What kind of Wedding dress did you get?"
"Hm? Oh!" Amity replied, half paying attention. "It was a traditional white dress that human women wear at their weddings, but it's really pretty!"
Willow's face was beaming. "I bet it looks beautiful on you!"
"I hope so. I haven't actually seen myself in it" Amity admitted.
Willow looked at Amity with a very confused look. "Why not?"
"It's considered bad luck for a woman to see herself in the dress before the wedding"
Willow did hear that there were some odd wedding superstitions. She didn't believe any of them but still understood why Amity wouldn't take any chances. Willow still saw the nervous look on Amity's face. It appears the conversation didn't help any.
Willow put her hand on Amity's shoulder. "Amity, I know you're nervous, but don't be! It's gonna be Ok. The wedding will be perfect"
Amity blushed and rubbed the back of her neck. "Actually Willow, the wedding itself isn't the reason why I'm nervous."
"It's not?"
"There is something I wanna ask you," Amity admitted nervously. Amity had been wanting to ask Willow something for a while now regarding the wedding and figured now. She's been putting it off for a while, but it was now or never with the wedding very soon. "I've been wanting to ask you for a while now, and I understand if you don't want to since this is last minute. But would you like to be my maid of honor?"
Willis squealed and wrapped Amity in a hug. "Yes! I will!"
Amity breathed a sigh of relief and hugged Willow back. Now, aside from the wedding jitters, she was worry-free!"
(LUZ, VEE, GUS)
"Here you go, young lady!" The man at the counter said as he handed Luz a garment bag.
"Thank you so much!" Luz replied as she eagerly took the bag.
Luz and Vee and Gus were out getting some last-minute things done for the wedding. Gus was picking up something for Luz while Luz Vee went to get Luz's outfit for the wedding. Luz pretty much had a recreation of her Grom outfit made and it got done earlier that day. Luz and Vee went to Luz's dorm room to wait for Gus and for Luz to try on the outfit.
"How's it look?" Luz asked, coming out of the bathroom.
"It looks great, Luz, " Vee said, giving a thumbs up.
"I'm here! " Gus said as he walked through the door.
"Did you get it?!" Luz asked, sounding a bit erratic.
"Uhhhh, Yeah, " Gus replied, giving Luz some kind of package. Luz quickly took it as if she would die if she didn't get it.
Vee looked at how Luz was acting and thought this was odd even for her. "Must be pretty important."
Luz unwrapped the package and pulled out a book, "Finally!"
"A book? " Vee said, confused.
Gus looked over Luz's shoulder to read the title. "Spells to help have a-" Gus read before Luz hid the rest.
"No peeking!" Luz yelled, scaring both Vee and Gus. "Sorry, it's just super private and I want it to be a surprise!"
"Is it something for Amity?" Vee asked.
Luz blushed. "Sorta. But I'm not gonna worry about that now! That's future Luz's goal!" Luz ran into the next room and put the book and her outfit away.
"That was odd," Gus said to Vee while they waited on Luz. "Any idea what that was about?"
Vee shrugged her shoulders. "No idea."
Luz was taking a long time in the next room. A lot longer than she should have been taking just to put up a book. Vee and Gus looked at each other and nodded, knowing what the other was thinking. They walked into the room and when they did, they saw Luz pacing back and forth, clearly a nervous wreck.
"Luz? Are you ok?" Gus asked.
"Ok? Me? Yeah, I'm fine!" Luz said, with nervousness in her voice, "Why wouldn't I be? I mean it's just that I'm marrying the most beautiful and coolest girl in the world! No pressure right? RIGHT!?"
Vee went to Luz's back and started rubbing her shoulders, slowly calming her down. "It's ok Luz! Everything will be fine!"
Gus walked up in front of Luz. "Just breathe slowly, ok?"
Luz did what Gus told her to do, "Thanks, sorry you guys"
Vee hugged her from behind. "You have nothing to be sorry for! It's your wedding day soon. It's perfectly normal for you to be nervous."
Gus joined in on the hug, "Vee's right. Don't think about it. Just think about the future you and Amity will have together.
Luz did just that and was finally completely calm and hugged her friend and adopted sister. "I love you guys! "
"We love you too, " Gus and Vee said in unison.
