A/N: The new chapter is up! Specifically a reqest from Writer of Illusion. Thanks so much for liking this story so far! I was planning to write a series involving ASEAN or Asia (ASEAN + East Asia + India are the only ones I could write.) though I can't do it alone as my knowledge about other countries are limited. Until I can some help in expanding my work, I'll stick with Fun dengan Malaysia for now. But I have to say this chapter is quite difficult to write so expect some not so well written stuff. Since I'm on break, I might as well start working on new chapters, so expect an update soon!
Extra Notes: Anime are NOT Cartoons. Say that anime is a cartoon and prepare to accept a bullet to your head by me.
...
Malaysia never even thought about this before. She opens the tip of the marker and writes something on the board.
Singapore pops into the room and asks "Hey Malaysia, what are you doing?"
"Finding the difference lah! What else!" Malaysia replied.
The Singaporean raised an eyebrow. "Difference? Of what?"
Malaysia puts down the marker and turns to face Singapore with a challenging grin. "The difference between cartoon, anime and local cartoon alongside five main television dramas that Malaysian loves."
"Huh?"
"You heard me brother. Difference between cartoon, anime and-"
"I heard you lah! What-I mean why are you doing this?" Singapore asked even though deep inside he already knew the answer.
"Because someone does not know the difference, so I am going to come up with an answer for them! Think of it as a challenge!" Malaysia replied.
Singapore rolled his eyes as he made his way over to his sister's side, facing the whiteboard.
"So...what do you have?"
"For America's cartoons, there's P & F and Dis***, my own, U & I, Bobo***, Bang Jepun's Dorae*** and anime, Bl*ach, Nar*to and Det C. For television dramas...I don't know...I never watch one in a long time...if series there's OME, Waktu Rehat..." Malaysia trailed off.
Singapore sighs. This is getting no where. It'll be better if he just leave, yes, just tell her that you have something to do, sure she wouldn't mind.
"Hey sis I'm-"
"What are you doing Malaysia?" America asked, muching on his burger.
"Try to figure out a difference between these shows." Malaysia replied.
Great, America's here. He might help her or no help at all and Singapore can just slowly walk out of the room and-
Kiasu
No, just because the most powerful nation in the world is trying to help out doesn't mean he should to. Calm yourself Singapore, it's not like anyone else is going to enter the room now, right?
"Hmm...P & F's main characters are kids, that's easy!" America exclaimed.
"My U & I and Bobo*** have kids as main characters too you know!" Malaysia added.
Kiasu, kiasu
"Conan from DC is also a kid!" America added.
"He's a 17 year old in a kid's body!" Malaysia argued.
"Alright how about Nob*ta from Dorae***?
"Yeah he's a kid-wait, we're talking about similarities then!"
Singapore was about take this opportunity to slip out of the room unnnotice when someone enter the room.
"What are you two making a fuss about?" England asked, annoyed, entering the room with Japan behind him.
The young Singaporean cursed inwardly for not leaving earlier. Now two of his former invaders are here and there is no way he is able to leave quietly.
"Oh hey there Iggy, Japan! Malaysia and I are trying to point out the difference between cartoon, anime and local cartoon alongside five main television dramas that Malaysian loves."
Singapore gaped at the American. How on earth did he even know? Was he spying right from the beginning? Yet his sister remains so oblivious about it!
Kiasu, kiasu, kiasu
England sighs. "Why do I even bother asking you two about it?" he mumbled to himself.
"Would you like some help? I migh be able to help." Japan offered.
"That would be nice Bang Jepun!" Malaysia exclaimed.
England watches the Japanese nation head over to provide any assistance he could to the two younger nations. "Honestly these two..." he paused and glanced at Singapore who looks like he was fighting something in the inside.
"Are you alright?"
Singapore manages to catch his sister snickering before his 'kiasu' took over him.
~Kiasu~
"Difference between cartoons and anime ah? Anime is more better than cartoon." Singapore stated.
"I would agree to that too but some anime like Bl*ach and Nar*to have fighting scenes in it! Not suitable for little kids!" Malaysia pointed out.
"P & F is suitable as well! It just two kids building stuff for fun to pass summer vacation!" America added.
"OME as well."
"Hey how come we keep getting back to similarities again?"
"Maybe they aren't any differences at all." England concluded, slightly annoyed.
"No way Iggy! There is a difference, we just haven't found it yet!" America argued.
"Actually-"
Everyone went silent and turned to Japan, who spoke up.
"Could it be that the difference is the art? Or the style of animation? There are plenty of differences, comparing anime and cartoons with live dramas..." Japan pointed out.
Silence took over the room for a while before America laughs. "That easy? I can't believe I wasted my time over this!"
Malaysia nodded in agreement. "Yeah! Too easy!"
"Yet why can't we figure it out?" Singapore asked himself, slightly pale as Singapore, himself, is quite proud of his knowledge.
"Maybe you're just too tired?" Japan suggested, obviously that these three did not even notice that they came up with tons of differences but Japan, being nice, keeps the truth to himself. An advantage to that, is to save himself from a headache.
America, Malaysia and Singapore glanced at each other, agreeing with Japan. Maybe with all of these problems they have to face recently, they're just tired. Slowly, the three young nations bid the two other nations goodbye as they exited the room.
England sighs and follows after them, mumbling something under his breath. Japan soon exited the room but not before scribbling something onto his notebook.
...
In a traditional Japanese style house, a young man turns on his laptop and search the web for something. He smiled in anticipation as he clicked the video, as the video started playing halfway, a small boy said these lines "*Betul, betul, betul."
The man smiled in satisfaction as he continued watching the video of a pair of twins, spending their day in a rural part of the country.

Cheers and claps filled the room as our favourite nation, Malaysia enters. Oh sorry, both Male and Female Malaysia enter the stage to be doing their segment for the second time! Yay!
"Selamat datang ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls to our show!" Male Malaysia greeted.
The room was once again filled with claps and cheers, however the only audiences present were only the ASEAN family, Timor Leste, India, China, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
"Welcome back to our show once again, today, we have a request from Writer of Illusion! The request is Malaysia's Time as Langkasuka and the myth surrounding it! Great one indeed!" Female Malaysia exclaimed.
"However this time, it won't be us that'll be doing this show and tell." Male Malaysia said.
Female Malaysia giggled as she ran over to a large object concealed underneath a large piece of cloth.
"We have this new device to decide, but what is it?" Male Malaysia asked as his female counterpart removes the cloth, revealing a slot machine.
"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, with this slot machine, we will decide who will be doing it! Now, my female counterpart is getting someone to do the slots, I believe you will know this person very well."
As on cue, an angry voice came from back stage as Female Malaysia pulls England to the stage. At the audience, China's, India's and Hong Kong's eyes widen slightly before a grin form on their faces.
"My, my, if it isn't the terrible cook aru!" China exclaimed as Hong Kong whips out his video camera to film everything.
"What is your menu for today?" India asked, snickering.
"Who's the terrible-!?"
"Alright enough you guys, England here will do the slots to decide who shall be presenting!" Male Malaysia announced, excitement shown in his eyes.
England, annoyed, glanced at the two Malaysians and asked "I just have to do this, right?"
Both Malaysians nodded, grinning as they watch England pulls the lever as the slot does its work. However before the slot could finish, the floor gives out underneath the cranky British gentleman as he fell in, earning some claps from China.
"Oh dear, my bad, I forgot to warn you that there's a trap on the stage that activates once you pull the lever of the slot machine!" Female Malaysia chirped, earning some yelling from the Englishman.
Once the slot stopped spinning, the results were shown. The result is a *Star Spangled Banner and a **Hinomaru.
"There you have it! Let's get this show on the go!" Male Malaysia announced, snapping his fingers as he and his female counterpart disappeared into a puff of smoke, replaced by a loud American and an emotionless Japanese.
"Hello everybody!" America greeted in his loud voice.
Silence...
"Konnichiwa minna-san, I am Japan. Today, America-san and I will be presenting Malaysia's Time as Langkasuka and the myth surrounding it. Let's start with the introduction."
"Langkasuka was an ancient Hindu-Buddhist Malay kingdom located in the Malay Peninsular. And is believed to have been found in the 2nd century." America reads out the information that was written on a piece of paper.
"The most detailed description of the early Malay kingdom of Langkasuka is found in the Liang-shu, a Chinese history written in the early seventh century. Referred to as Lang-ya-hsiu, Langkasuka's frontiers were described as thirty days' journey from east to west, and twenty from north to south."
"Its capital was said to be surrounded by walls to form a city with double gates, towers and pavilions. Wow, reminds me of those old English dramas of castles and stuff." America said.
"There is a myth surrounding this ancient kingdom and it's..." Japan continued as he glanced at his watch, pausing for a moment.
"Hikayat Marong Mahawangsa!" Male and Female Malaysia exclaimed running across the stage with England chasing after them and Hong Kong, who took a sudden leave, running after the duo to film everything.
"Which means a king who is said to have sailed from India. Since time is running out, here's a picture of the personification of Langkasuka."
The screen was lowered and the picture of a beautiful woman was shown. Taiwan's eyes glitter with admiration of the beauty and maturity of Langkasuka. She is indeed a beautiful woman.
"She is a woman of great beauty." China said.
"You knew her ***Gege?" Taiwan asked.
"Anyway, time's up! See you next time!" Both Malaysia waved.
"Wait, I haven't got to do my heroic speech yet!"
"Bye!"
