A/N: A request from Fellow Malaysian (Guest), his/her requested a sad chapter about the fall of the Malacca Sultanate. I rarely done sad chapters, but I'll try to make this happen but then, I messed up a little.

Reply to Fellow Malaysian (Guest): I'm glad you like it though I really didn't expect this fanfiction to be quite useful for your history presentation. Written this for fun and hoping that others will know the good of our nation.

Notes: Malaysia was known as Malacca before. In this chapter, Malaysia shall be Malacca until her name changed to Malaya when England came into the picture and another Malacca replaces her.

Warnings: hurt/comfort, mentions of death (not much), bit of Manglish and others.

The Fall of the

Malacca Sultanate

...

The Malacca Sultanate, a Malay sultanate centered in the modern-day state of Malacca, Malaysia. Founded in the year 1400 by a renegade Malay Raja of Singapura, Iskandar Shah, who was also known in certain accounts as "Parameswara". At the height of the sultanate's power in the 15th century, its capital grew into one of the most important entrepots of its time, with territory covering much of the Malay Peninsula, Riau Islands and a significant portion of the east coast of Sumatra.

As a bustling international trading port, Malacca emerged as a center for Islamic learning and dissemination, and encouraged the development of the Malay language, literature and arts. It heralded the golden age of Malay sultanates in the archipelago, in which Classical Malay became the lingua franca of the Maritime Southeast Asia and Jawi script became the primary medium for cultural, religious and intellectual exchange. It is through these intellectual, spiritual and cultural developments, the Malaccan era witnessed the enculturation of a Malay identity.

Malacca was one of the most powerful sultanates known to many. Her trading ports attracted many regional traders such as the Chinese Empire (China) and Ryukyu (Japan) and Western civilizations such as Persian, Gujarat and Arabs. They were like a family. Malacca thought this could last forever. Everything is perfect.

However, Malacca's glorious days did not last long.

By the 15th century, Europe had developed an insatiable appetite for spices, ostensibly to the mask the flavour for rotten meat in the days before refrigeration. At that time, spice trade was virtually monopolised by the Venetian merchants via a convoluted trade route through Arabia and India, which in turn linked to its source in Spice Islands (Indonesia) via Malacca.

When Portugal came to Malacca, he was a total stranger to everyone there. The fact that he's Christian does not help him much. A bit of complications happened that leds toeven more trouble.

Portugal fled Malacca and came back with 18 ships and 1400 men, comprising both Portuguese troops and Indian auxiliaries. Upon his arrival, he did not attack immediately.

"Free my people from the prison! After that, I would like your permission to build a fortress here. Do so and there will be no trouble." Portugal warned.

Malacca's boss simply ignore it, thinking that he can withstand a Portuguese assault. He was so wrong to ignore that warning from Portugal. The year 1511, began the conquest. By the time they sacked the city and the palace, Sultan Mahmud Shah had already retreated.

Weapons used by Malacca were useless against Portugal. Before she knew it, everything was gone, her city, her people...gone. Portugal, who is this man? A monster in a human form? Malacca was badly injured, using the remaining energy to go far away however, she only lasted a few steps before she collapsed onto the dirt.

Her body so small like a child. What could she possibly do? Everything she had done so far was gone. While she thought about her defeat, she couldn't hold back her tears any longer. So fast, so powerful...her weapons are like toys that couldn't even kill many. She felt so useless, so defeated, so humilated and all.

The sound of footsteps coming close frighten her. She tried to lift her body but she was too exhausted and injured to do so. Is this going to be the end of her? She shut her eyes awaiting her death.

"Sorry to dissapoint you but I'm not whoever it is that attcked you."

Malacca opened her eyes slowly. Her foggy mind managed to recognize that voice.

"Singapura (Singapore)...why?"

Singapore, once known as Temasek before Parameswara renamed him again, helped Malacca go to a nearby place to find a resting spot for Malacca.

"You're injured." Singapore stated.

"I know."

"Then rest. You need a lot of it."

"Can't. How can I when everything I had is gone? My sultanate, my people, my city and-"

"Not everything."

Malacca glanced at Singapore in confusion. Singapore merely replied "You still have us. Your family."

...

The Emperor of China ordered a tributary Siam and other neighbours to aid Malacca in fighting Portugal. China also demanded Portugal to leave Malacca. The Thai refused to comply with the Chinese order, leaving Malacca with no help, the Chinese then blamed the Thai and other neighbors for Malacca's fall. However in this case, China can only blame himself for being useless for not being able to help Malacca in any way. He couldn't even stop Japan from leaving, he couldn't stop his younger siblings from being captured and now, he couldn't even help Malacca.

The Malacca Sultanate was a tributary state and ally to Ming Dynasty China. When Portugal conquered Malacca in 1511, the Chinese responded with violence against the Portuguese when Portugal sent the diplomatic ambassador, Tomé Pires in 1516. After Pires reached Beijing in 1520 the Chinese decided to arrest the embassy. The deposed Malaccan Sultan Mahmud Shah sent another message to China, and this time, China responded by executing the Portuguese diplomatic embassy.

Prison and execution seemed to be the only thing China can do by avenging Malacca however, no matter how many lives was taken, nothing can pay back the damage and the lives lost during that time and as well as Malacca's once glorious sultanate.

Portugal may have been doing this for the people and all by conquering the trade however it did not work well. In the end he would be labeled as a mean bully that stole something precious from a child.

Years later, the Dutch fought Portugal and won. Malacca was then in the Dutch's hands till then. A good point is that Indonesia got her sister back from the Portuguese.

In 1795, during the Napoleonic Wars, Malacca was handed over to England as to 'prevent that perverted frog from getting her' or something like that. Malacca was returned to the Dutch in 1818, through the Venice Agreement. Through the Anglo-Dutch Treaty of 1814 which separated the British and Dutch colonial areas, England gain control over the Malayan peninsular, Borneo and Singapore while Netherlands has Indonesia to himself.

Till now, Malaya (during British rule) could not understand why England is willing to trade off Indonesia's Banten just to have her.

"Starting from today, there are a few new systems you have to adjust to. First of all-"

"Why?" Malaya asked.

(A/N: Malaya's language shall be in Italics. And this takes place after 'Our First Meeting' several chapters ago, when Malaya finds out England trades Banten just to have Malaya. If you're wondering how England is able to understand, it's because there is a translator there though some situations doesn't require a translation. Depends on the situation, you might be able to understand what the other is saying even though you don't understand the language.)

"What do you mean?"

"Why do you trade Banten for Malacca? Holland has the whole Indonesia now while you only have me. With Indonesia you could make a huge profit even more than me. You already have Bang India and the others, adding Indonesia would only increase your profit more than me." Malaya added solemnly.

England looked perplexed at the moment. How can he explain to the young colony without making it worst?

"Well Malaya, if I were to fight over Indonesia, not only Indonesia would get hurt but you as well along with the others will be caught up in an unnecessary conflict. I cannot risk that happening to such a child like you. I am a British gentleman and it is simply bad of me to let a small child get hurt over my desires in having Indonesia." England explained, crouching to face Malaya, face to face.

Malaya looked up slightly, a small sign of tears were shown in her eyes.

"Why bother to do so? In the end, Holland would win if you just let it go."

England sighs. "Do I really look like someone who would let a child get hurt just to get what I want?"

Malaya remained silent as she shook her head.

"Thought so. Come now, it's late. We'll continue this tomorrow."

...End...

A/N: Before I go on ahead with the special segment. Just to let you know there'll be some cuteness-I mean changes. About the chapter, I love Father England and Daughter Malaysia, it's just so sweet and all!

Action!

The room was filled with claps and cheers, however it slowly died down when on the stage, two chibi(s) lie down next to each other, covered in blankets and all. The male chibi woke up, rubbing his eyes.

"Is it time to buka puasa (break fast not breakfast) yet?" he asked.

"Don't know...I'm hungry already ah..." the female chibi replied, after waking up.

The male chibi was wearing a baju Melayu and a songkok that seems a bit too big for him while the female chibi has a red hibiscus attached to her hair, also wearing a baju kurung that it's a bit bigger than her.

"M-Malaysia aru?"

The two chibis looked at China at the same time. "Bang China?"

"W-What happened to you?" Singapore asked.

"Special segment changes and England's magic..." Chibi! Male Malaysia replied.

"Instead of our original forms, the author wants us to be in chibi forms." Chibi! Female Malaysia added.

"Ok, today's topic shall be...Open House in Malaysia." Chibi! Female Malaysia reads out.

"In Malaysia, there...are many festivities that has an open house. During Hari Raya or Chinese New Year or Deepavali, open house is quite common. Close friends and relatives, even your closest neighbours are invited." Chibi! Male Malaysia explained.

"There'll be a lot of food, yummy food...children also get an envelope with money inside." Chibi! Female Malaysia added.

At this time, two green envelopes was lowered between the two chibi(s).

The two Chibi! Malaysians quickly grabbed the green envelope.

"That's all for now."

With that said, a few nations jumped out of their seats and rushed to the stage.

"Malaysia aru, I got a panda costume, would you try it on aru?" China asked, pulling out a panda costume out of no where.

"No, try out these cosplay outfits instead! It'll look so moe!" Japan said, pushing China out of the way and showing Malaysia the two adorable cosplay outfits.

"You shall try none of those! Instead, try my traditional costume!" Indonesia said, knocking Japan out of the way.

"Nonsense! Malaysia shall try out these Indian costumes for little kids!" India argued.

As the four nations argued on which costume the two Chibi! Malaysia shall try on, the other nations in the audience came up with a conclusion.

"Getting old is scary..."

A/N: First attempt on these cute stuff. Hope I did well. Don't worry, they'll be back to normal at the next chapter, unless you want more Chibi! Malaysia...anyway, please read and review. Though I still say it didn't turn out so well. Remember to give a shoutout on your favourite part of the story!
