I forgot my worries of falling and just focused upon the feeling of nearing the sky, even though I knew factually that is ridiculous. I soon feel Gamzee snaking his arm around my shoulders. I side glanced at him, only to find him still starring at the stars with a smile that I can describe as rather blissful. His smiles seem to be how he shows every emotion. I swear he has one for everything he feels. I couldn't help myself as I sort of snuggled into his side.

It was his turn to glance at me. The small glimmer of shock in his expression was almost immediately over run by the smile that spread across his face. He adjusted his position and allowed- or rather encouraged- me to lay my head on his shoulder as we watched the stars. Everything about this evening was just turning out rather… well, perfect. All too soon I felt the ride draw to its final stop.
Gamzee unceremoniously jumped off the ride, nearly falling on his face. He grabbed my hand and pulled me down carefully as I reminded him of how dangerous that action was. Mid-sentence, a sweet scent invaded my nostrils. Gamzee apparently smells it as well because he strongly sniffs the air. His eyes light up as he apparently recognizes the scent. Without any explanation, he begins pulling me towards the nearly suffocating sweet smell that grows stronger with each step. It wasn't long before we had maneuvered through the swelling crowds of people. I should have assumed that the source of the smell would be none other than a confectionary stand. Everything displayed before me on the stand was absolutely sugar coated or deep fried.
A strange steady noise coming from the stand proves to be a machine in the back producing spun sugar, more commonly referred to as 'cotton candy'. It was all horribly sweet and unhealthy, but I could not deny it definitely looked delicious. I felt my mouth water slightly as I stared on, gripping the stuffed crab with one hand. Gamzee pulled me closer to the stand.
"What would you like my motherfucker?"
"Oh no, I couldn't eat such things. They are all so highly unhealthy."
"Aw, come on! Just this once. You'll up and love it, I promise." He said encouragingly, smiling down at me.

"Well…" I sighed lightly "I guess a little cotton candy wouldn't hurt anything."
"That's the spirit Kankbro!"
He proceeded to excitedly order two of the fluffy pink wads of sugar. He watched with such childish wonder as they spun the paper tubes through the machine, gathering it around into an unhealthy glob. I watched his expression with a light smile. I'll admit it was sort of… cute. He was nearly bouncing in excitement as the dark haired girl handed him the cotton candy over the counter. Now that I look at her, I believe I know this girl. I believe she is related to Karkat's friend John. Oh, what was here name… Jill? Jackie? Jann? Jane? Ah, that's it, Jane!
My attention is soon drawn away from Jane as I watch Gamzee take a large bite off the side of the cotton candy, leaving flurries of spun sugar stuck to his face. I grabbed my own and held the stuffed crab under my arm so I could pull a bite off. I pushed the pink fluff past my lips and allowed it to melt on my tongue. It was just about as intensely sweet as it smelled, but it undoubtedly tasted good. As I was about to pull off another piece, Gamzee grabbed my hand and pulled me along.

I tried to question, but it was too loud for him to hear me, so I just allowed him to pull me along. We soon arrived at the destination I guess he had had in mind. We found ourselves at a bench that was a bit excluded from the crowds. He plopped down and pulled me down next to him. I set the stuffed crab beside me and fiddled with my cotton candy a bit. He was staring at the sky, nibbling at his sugary glob.

"Uh…May I inquire as to what is going on?"

"It's about to up and start." He said, his gaze still trained on the sky.

I sighed in response to the odd answer. I knew that was about the best I was going to get out of him. It was quieter over here, but the chattering voices and generic carnival music could still be heard. I glanced around at the lights of the rides that weren't very far off. Suddenly, and very unexpectedly, an intensely loud bang sounded. I dropped my cotton candy and nearly fell off of the bench as I jumped in shock. My hands shot up instinctively to cover my ears. I glanced at Gamzee to find him chuckling at me slightly.

I felt my face grow slightly warm from the embarrassment. He smiled at me goofily. I still held my hands to my ears and turned away embarrassedly. I heard the bench creak slightly as he shifted closer. I wondered what he was doing, but then I felt a hand on my shoulder. I glanced at him slightly.
"It's just motherfucking fireworks Kankbro, see?" He said with a smile, pointing up as another boom sounded.

I redirected my gaze to the sky and saw the magnificent colors that were slowly fading to a light smoke that contrasted with the night sky. I watched on as rainbows of colors cascaded across the sky with resonating bangs. It's certainly been quite a while since I've actually gone out and enjoyed a fireworks show. They seem so much more vibrant than my memory of them was. It's really pleasant to see.
"Wow, it's so… beautiful." I felt myself mutter out as I watched more colors appear and fade on the dark canvas of the night sky.

"They are some pretty amazing motherfucking miracles," he said, but paused slightly and then continued, "…I'd say what I'm all up and lookin at is a kajillion times more beautiful though."

"Gamzee, 'kajilion' is not a unit of measurement. I'm pretty sure it's not even a proper w-" I started as I turned to see what exactly it was he was looking at, only to find his gaze centered in my direction. I felt my face heat up intensely. "Gamzee, I-I don't quite see what you may be implying here...That line was r-really rather cheesy and I… "

His smile widened slightly and he reached out towards me. He cupped his hand around my red cheeks, furthering my blush slightly. I stared at him as I tried to form proper words for the situation in my head. I was really unsure of what to do in a situation like this. I was about to speak, but he beat me to it.

((Hey Everyone! I know, I took forever, I'm sorry. I have a bunch written out, its just finding the time to type it out. So sorry for the wait, but enjoy! I'll get the next part out as soon as I can. Enjoy!))
