He just laid there for what felt like an eternity, the darkness around him only slowly shifting with his gaze as his eyes adjusted to the shadows. Corva could not sleep, not after that conversation, He had only been able to make out a little from what Jansar had said but whatever it was Gorock seemed to agree with her so he had no choice at this point. The massive ork had been the only source of direction he had been given since he was taken those four years ago. He found in the silence of his surroundings he could not help but remember his days in the estate. His time at home before he ran away, how long ago was that? He joined the guard of some back water world to provide for himself after he ran from his father, the governor of Tailnus. It was only know in these dark moments that he realized how much he had missed his father. Though the man was stern and sometimes cruel, after his time in Commaragh he so easily could see how childish his thoughts on cruelty was.
He raised his robotic limb to the air and peered at it as best he could in the shadows of these empty chambers. "I wonder how he would see me now?..." He murmured with a laugh. He rolled over to his side and sighed as he continued to think on his old life. "Why did I run away again?" He asked before another laugh pressed passed his lips. "Now I remember... He wanted me to fight in that thing..." He then sighed as he brushed the hair from his forehead. "He wanted me to take his place as the families warrior... it's knight... I was scared of that machine... How funny what silly things I feared once." He then sighed as he remembered his families Knight. "What was it called again?... Oh how could I forget?" he exclaimed before he could hear the crowds begin to roar outside as the arena reopened. He then smiled as he could here Gorock roll in his sleep as the beast awoke. "Whatever it was, I only feared the machine because I was scared to fight... to kill. I was an office boy how did I get on the front lines?" He then sat up as he saw Gorocks massive frame begin to slowly push itself up.
"Oye git!" He bellowed sleepily as he rubbed his small eyes. The massive ork stretched out almost reaching both ends of the small chamber before standing up with a smile. "Its time to fight now!" The ork had begun to move and Corva knew he would as well so instead of taking his time he just stood up and shuffled to the door as to not trip over anything in the dark. "Oye boy, You really dat ready dis mornin?" Gorock seemed pleased with Corva's haste but misunderstood its meaning. Corva didn't want to fight like Gorock believed but was no longer willing to wait for Jansar's adult talk to come to fruition. As the massive ork arrived at the door he patted Corva on the back with a toothy grin. "Now dont go dyin out dere lad... I dont know da next time dey give me any boyz worth your salt..." The orks compliment seemed sincere and made Corva smile a little before sighing as the door began to creek open revealing a couple of wytches. "Lets do this! WAAAAGGGGHHHHH!" Gorock bellowed as he charged through the open door and down the tunnel almost knocking one of the Wytches over.
Corva took in a deep breathe before following the ork favoring the right side of the tunnel as the Wytch Gorock had ran into seemed quite irritated. Corva ran out the tunnel and into the white sand arena covering his eyes as the intense light blinded him before his eyes adjusted. He could see that the arena was even more packed then the last time he fought and the occupants were not focusing on Gorock as they did before. This time they all seemed to be watching him as he charged out the door in anticipation to see how his next fight would go. Gorock seemed a bit confused but couldn't help but feel proud of the attention Corva was getting. The loud cheers calling out for the human though they didn't know his name. The crowd suddenly fell deathly quite as the Succubus Jansar stood up with Doane standing next to her. "Shhhhhhhhhhhhh..." Jansar pushed the sound through her teeth as she pressed a finger to her lips. "Listen my flock...listen." She held her hand to her ear as she trailed her head through the air as if she was trying to locate something. "Do you hear that?... that sound, that symphony?! The sound of the silence before a slaughter, the sound of ones fears, hopes and rage building to there final crescendo! That my Flock is what we fight for, the sounds of battle, the sounds of suffering! Let the second fight for our new warrior begin!"
Corva stood ready for the fight to come but as the doors on the other side opened he only looked on in horror as he made out the uniforms of imperial guard, the uniforms of his units. "W...what is this?!" He exclaimed as he saw mangled and twisted bodies willed with stitching and tubes as if there bodies were put back together and as there faces came into the light Corva's jaw dropped. "S...sergeant C...Caleb!?" His imperial squadron that was slain by Doane back when this all started butchered and brought back to life. There bodies modified as there dead gray skin was broken by large black spines and dripping blades as they hobbled into the clearing. Gorock did not flinch but saw the look in Corva's eyes and glared at him. Before throwing a rock past Corva's head at such speed it almost knocked him off his feet without even touching him.
Corva snapped too as Gorock screamed at him. "Whats this look on your face git, get your arse in the fight!" The massive ork yelled almost shaking the arena more then the massive crowd could causing them to erupt into a frenzied again as Corva readied himself for the fight. Gorock was made to sit on the sides again as Corva began to slowly move into the midst of these hobbling creatures.
"T...there not them, there dead... there dead!" He reminded himself as he looked to his wrist and saw a round piece around his new arms wrist that had words scribbled into it that were hardly legible even by a child's standards. "T...tunr left to...too crazy and...and right too normal?" He murmured before the creatures began to move faster towards him. HE just stood there as they charged at him thinking to himself. "I...if this makes me lik...like I was when..." The memories of him killing the young wytch flashed before his eyes as he grit his teeth. "I...if I do it again..." He paused as the husks got closer and closer before he raised his head with a wicked smile on his face and turned the device causing the black fluid to shoot inside of him. "I might like it too much." He exclaimed as the effects of the drugs caused him to easily dodge all of the creatures feeble attacks. "What is this?" He asked as the creatures seemed like they could hardly even put up a fight now.
"Well start with you then!" HE then shot across the sand with inhuman speed before taking one of the heads into his mechanical grip and smashed it into the ground causing a sickening crack to ring out as black fluids stained the fight sand. "Whose the coward now Jacob!? Whose weak now!?" He sadistically cried out as he destroyed his former squad mate. He looked to the other three as they slowly hobbled barely able to even keep up with a normal mans moves let alone his which if Corva could think more clearly he would question but in this raged state he seemed to enjoy it. "Next!" HE then shot back dodging and attack from the husk of Caleb before striking at another one of his former squad mates, Corporal Cale and easily snapping his frail body in half with this mechanical monstrosity fused to him. "You said you'd be there, But you were weak!" He cried before stomping his head in with inhuman strength causing it to explode splatting some of his blood across Corva's face.
He made quick work of the other two before all that was left was his squad leader Seargent Caleb which seemed to cause Corva to freeze in place. The other corpse littered abound in several different stages of dismemberment but all with there heads smashed into a pulp of black goo and skull fragments. Corva looked up revealing his sadistic smile once again but a tear rolled down his cheek as he began to laugh. "I...Im a..." He looked at his hands as Caleb mindlessly continued to hobble towards Corva with dead eyes. "Im finally strong." He cried out before charging into Caleb and struck him in the chest knocking him down. Corva then used his mechanical arm to quickly and violently rip both his arms and legs from his body leaving only the squirming torso of Caleb as its mindless head continued to bite at him. "Lets see if your even in there anymore!" He exclaimed as he knelt over his body and began to slowly rip strips of flesh one by one as he ripped Caleb's body to pieces. "Were are you!" He screamed as the crowd cheered on and Jansar's smile only grew though Doane herself seemed to be horrified by what she saw.
