Sleepover

Ciel awaits on the front to greet his betrothed once she reached the manor steps, knowing how excited she would be. His face had already been stained with a light blush with Sebastian whispering in his ear the entire time he had gotten him dressed.

His butler, of course, stood by his side with a charismatic smile as they watch the carriage approach.

The young Earl tried his best to be normal. Yet, what was normal?

How does wash the stench of his demonic lover off his skin, so that she wouldn't notice that anything was different?

It seemed almost as if he knew that once she stepped her foot onto the ground, he would be exposed.

His hands became clammy and uncomfortable as he rubbed his finger tip against one another.

"What if I act differently? Or say something that will tip her off? I can't risk losing her and ruining the Phantomhive name."

Yet, was that the only reason he didn't want to lose her?

He had struggled to convince himself of being in love with her before—knowing that when she was around, he more or less faked it, compared to when Sebastian walked in the room. He took in deep breaths trying to calm himself for when this confusion approached itself.

The chariot arrives in front of the steps and stops, with Elizabeth's smiling face hoping out of it, almost as if she didn't hit the ground.

"Ciel~…!"

Her pleasant voice echoing throughout the estate as she wrapped her hands around him and twirled him around. He tried his best to maintain his balance and not fall down the steps.

She stops and pulls him close, kissing his lips. His eyes remain open as he saw that Sebastian had turned around to hide himself from the truth.

"I've missed you so much, Ciel," she speaks as she holds him tight, "We must talk about how you've been. You look as if you're glowing."

Ciel's face blushes as she lets go of him.

"G-Glowing? What do you mean glowing?" he asked as he sees Paula load bags out of the carriage, "Elizabeth, what is all of that?"

"Oh~," she replied, "My mother thinks it's unfair that I don't get to see you for very long when I visit so I've decided to stay the weekend."

Sebastian turns to them as Ciel's heart sinks in his shoes.

"S-Stay the weekend?"

He begins to shiver and shake at the thought that she would be there for 2 days.

"What's the matter? You're a nervous wreck."

He quickly gets himself together and continues to watch Paula.

"Oh, nothing," he fibs, "I just haven't made plans."

She smiles, her presence electrifies all through his body; he is happy to see her.

"It's alright," she responded, "We don't have to do anything but stay here; and, I'll even sleep in the guest room across from yours so that we can be close."

He takes a deep gulp, almost trembling at the thought of being caught this weekend.

"Paula and I will take our bags up and…"

"No," he interrupted, "You are a lady. Sebastian and I will carry your luggage upstairs. You and Paula sit at the table and enjoy the lunch he has prepared. I know the ride was terrible."

Elizabeth looks at Paula as she removes the last suitcase and then back at him.

"Ok. Come on, Paula," she spoke as she kissed him on the cheek and walked into the manor, "Hello, Sebastian."

"Good evening, Lady Elizabeth," the butler greets, "It is wonderful to see you as always."

Sebastian and his master carry Elizabeth's suitcases up to the room she had picked out.

Ciel, still trembling from the announcement, sits on the bed, trying to get his head together.

"I've decided to stay the weekend…"

Her voice bouncing around in his head as he rubs his temples.

"I don't think I can hold up for this long," he states as Sebastian closes the door from bringing in the last bag.

"Don't be so nervous, my lord," the butler said, "All will be well."

"No, it will not," he disagrees, "It'll be a disaster. My anxiety gets out of control when I'm not around you and my nightmares… How can I manage?"

Sebastian walked over to him and kissed his forehead.

"I shall be there for as long as you need me."

Ciel looked out the window, the sun shining on this troublesome day.

"To kiss her lips, knowing that they've touched someone else's. The way I reacted when she told me someone had done it to her…I'm a hypocrite and I shall burn in darkest pits of hell for what I am doing."

Sebastian takes a hold of his chin and pulls toward him.

"I will not leave you, no matter what." Ciel smiles, it feels nice to hear his warm words. His blood settles and he takes a deep breath. "Having a hidden love is hard."

Ciel joins the girls at the table as they enjoyed the prepared lunch selection and talk amongst themselves.

"Are you ok, Ciel?"

Elizabeth asked as he sat down and Sebastian pushed in his chair, "You took a long time to come back."

Ciel smiles and slowly sips his tea.

"I'm fine," he spoke, "I went to the bathroom. How have you been? How is Germany this time of year?"

"Well, the trip was a little better, we took a detour since they're building a dam for the river ahead," she explained, "Germany is so pretty. Spring blossoms with the wind and there are flowers everywhere."

She stretches out her hand and touches Ciel's.

"I love the letters you send me," she said again, "I read them over and over whenever I miss you."

Ciel blushes slightly as he holds her hand. "Well, I shall send more so that you will never be alone."

Throughout the day, they walked through the fields as they giggled and tried to catch butterflies. Ciel's asthma had started to bother him so he sat most of the time while she caught them.

He observed as she was twirled and spun, always with a smile on her face.

Finally, when she was exhausted, she sat down at the table, joining him.

"That was wonderful exercise," she spoke to him, catching her breath, "I've had so much fun."

He smiled as he grabbed her hand. "I'm glad," he answered.

She stood and looked at him. "I shall go and take a bath," she stated, "The sun will set soon and I don't want an odor while I eat dinner. I must smell like a lady."

Ciel giggled as he stood up.

"Whatever you wish, Elizabeth."

She leaned in and kissed him; she loved the way his lips felt.

"I shall see you at dinner."

She turned away from him and headed into the manor.

Ciel watches as her hair flows with the wind toward him as she walks away. Guilt slowly gathers in his throat as he sits in his chair.

How could someone love him with such dark secrets—never asking what about or why hide them?

He looks down as his hands as he begins to play with the deep blue ring that sat upon his finger.

"She doesn't deserve me."

The young Earl stayed seated for a while as the sun went down and the spring breeze covered his face. He pictured Elizabeth's smiling—how happy he made her, how happy he would always make her.

Then, Sebastian flashes before his eyes—the thoughts of when they embrace one another, their late night sessions over the span of a few months.

He thought his concern for the way he thought people thought about him was no longer in the front of his mind. Yet, the things he had done and was doing flustered all over.

The way he said he loved her, the way he said he loved Sebastian; though both feel the emotions when spoken, only one gets the true meaning.

But which one?

Was it Elizabeth because it was breaded into him—the way to treat her, the way she deserved to be treated, his reaction to another man touching her. He made her happy, and in a way, so did had always been there even in his innocent days and had always believed everything would get better.

He did love his dear fiancée.

Or was it Sebastian?

The demon, whose sole purpose of being by his side was to fulfill the contract and devour his soul. And though, this goal has not changed, their feelings have shifted. He had also always been there.

From his time in the cage to all his darkest moments leading to this one. He was the person he had agreed to give himself to, to let intimacy and passion take over whenever the time struck him.

He loved his dear butler.

His heart rapidly spun in his chest.

In the daylight, when she was here, Elizabeth was always on his mind. Yet in the darkness, when she was away, the demon took over and introduced him into places he had never been.

Night had fallen and he joined Elizabeth and Paula at the dinner table. Afterward, Elizabeth insisted that they watch the stars together.

They had no plans scheduled for the weekend since it was a surprise that she was staying.

They lay silently upon a blanket, listening to the insects and animals around them.

"It's a beautiful night, Ciel," she spoke while looking into the bright beyond.

Ciel smiles, joining her one this made up adventure. Elizabeth traces her hand across the distant stars, lining them up with her fingers to spell her name. As she placed the dot for the "I", a shooting start shot across her fingertips.

"Oh, look, Ciel!" she exclaimed, pointing in excitement.

His mouth slightly opened in this awe, watching as the bright star flew across the night sky.

"I shall make a wish." She closed her eyes, crossed her fingers and wiggled her nose.

Ciel giggled a little, he had never seen her dedicated to her fantasies.

"What did you wish for?" he asked as she relaxed herself. "I wished that everything would be alright, and that you will truly be happy again."

Ciel's faced beamed as he looked away from her. She wasted her wish on him; as always, she put his well-being first before thinking of her own.

"Did you make a wish?" she asked. He looked toward her as his face calmed itself.

"N-No," he answered, "I wanted you to have the star all to yourself."

She smiled; they enjoyed each other's company, not doing anything.

Bedtime approached itself as Ciel walks his betrothed to her room.

"I had a wonderful day, Ciel," she spoke with a big smile, "I'm glad you're happy."

He smiled back.

"Me, too, Lizzie," he responded, kissing her rosy cheeks, "Goodnight."

She curtsied toward him, then gracefully headed into her room. Ciel takes a deep breath as his smile lingers.

Today had been bland—no activity, no decorating, no emotional outburst—and that was ok. He had strictly enjoyed the time that he was given to spend with her and was beginning to look forward toward the entire weekend.

He slowly walks in his room and closes the door, not turning his back. As he begins to let go of the door knob, he feels a force be pressed against him and pinning him against the door.

Sensually, he moans while a soft tongue dances down his neck and collar bone.

"S…Sebastian…?" he tries to speak in between passion filled breaths.

The figure chuckles.

"Who else would it be?" the demon speaks, grabbing a hold of his wrists and spinning him while continuing to pin him against the door.

Ciel's heart begins to beat rapidly; he hadn't thought of anything like this would happen. What if Elizabeth were to knock on the door?

"W-What are you doing?" he stuttered irritatingly, trying to snatch his wrists from his companion.

Sebastian leans in and aggressively kisses him, forcing his tongue slightly in his mouth. Ciel's reaction was hesitant and aggressive for a moment, but as Sebastian's lips continued to combine with his, his resistance slowly melted away.

He softened his hands as he pushed softly against his lover's tongue using his own.

The demon let go of his hands and slowly unbuttons his shirt, trailing down his chest with his glove covered hand. Ciel's body become warm and tantalizing as the ability to control himself slowly bended into Sebastian's will.

Sebastian separates his lips and nibbles on his neck, arousing the young one's member.

Though he became lustful as his pants became tight, his conscious slowly seeped through, shining an image of Elizabeth in his eyes. He slowly begins to reject the way his body responded to Sebastian's actions, turning his head and pushing him away.

"Sebastian…stop…"

His lover ceases his progression and looks up at the young one, hearing the depression and battling tone in his voice.

"Is something wrong, young master?" he asked.

Ciel, continuing to look away, fully presses Sebastian away and walks toward his bed; his face displaying sorrow from within.

"I…I just can't tonight," he spoke.

Sebastian stares at him as he begins to calm himself, trying to connect his actions with his train of thought.

"Are you alright?" he asked again, further probing the issue.

Ciel sits on his bed, his face remaining away from his lover; they had connected so much over the last few months, and slowly, it seemed to be coming undone.

"Elizabeth is here in the manor," he spoke, turning his head toward him, "I must respect her being here. She is my fiancée."

Sebastian's heart fully calmed itself. Though it was the way things had always been, he hated when he brought it up; he preferred the days when Elizabeth wasn't mentioned or near, releasing Ciel from his confusion and heartache.

He wanted to be able to wrap his arms around him and call him his own without fear of losing him in the morning, and it became hard to swallow the realization that he was sharing him with someone who had always been there.

"I…I'm sorry, my lord," Sebastian speaks, looking down at his feet, "I shall control myself from now on."

As Sebastian lifts his head, Ciel looks into his scarlet lit eyes; how they shook with their secrets he concealed and were becoming overbearing to hold onto. He bowed toward his master, and slowly exited the room.

Ciel stares into his fireplace, the images of the last few months play in the flames, burning them slowly away.

Sebastian slowly drags his feet down the hallway.

"I open myself up to him, to be rejected in the end," he thought to himself, reaching Elizabeth's room, "He pushes me away no matter what I do and how we connect. I can't hold on much longer."

He quietly opens the door, peering inside.

There lied Elizabeth sleeping soundly in her bed.

His heart aches with the sights of reality and he fights back his tears. As he closes the door, his thoughts consume him.

"I should think that once lady leaves, we shall not be how we once were. Even if he does come back to me."
