Chapter 4: Hope
She called Arkham Asylum and they scheduled her an interview. She was excited. Seriously. It was a freaking asylum with crazies and everything! Besides she was a strong, independent woman. She could be a guard. At least she hoped so…
Later that day at the interview she tried to look as professional as she could. She had on black jeans and a black tight fitting tee and sunglasses. She also had her long dark red hair in a tight, formal bun. She was going to be a guard. So why not look the part? After all she was a black belt in karate and she often went hunting with her dad over the years. Heck. She was even good with a gun and had taken gymnastics as a kid because of her mother. Who knew these skills would actually come in handy?
She was greeted warmly by the guards out front and the doctors shoveling around inside. She said hello to the woman at the front desk as she handed her the finished online application that had been approved by Dr. Leland and Dr. Arkham, telling her to go down the hall into Dr. Arkham's office for the official interview. She nodded and smiled, hoping she'd get the job.
