"Kat?" Dr. Leland nudged Katerina's arm lightly but it only caused the young woman to mumble.

"Пожалуйста, только не снова ..."

"Kat...? Wake up, Kat." She tried again, nudging her a little harder.

"Только не снова ..."

Joan looked at her worriedly, shaking her full force. "Kat? What on earth are you...? - Are you speaking Russian? - Wake up!"

Finally the young woman's eyes fluttered then opened, blinking in surprise and then looking around in horror as she bolted up from the bed. "No! Don't hurt me! Please, not again!"

"Kat?!" Joan ran over to the other side off the bed where Katerina was now standing and gently put her arms around her. "What's wrong? What's happened?"

Kat stifled a sob and hugged her colleague. "J-Just a bad dream, that's all..."

"Oh." Joan mumbled as she led Kat back over to the hospital bed to lay back down.

"Well everything's ok now. It wasn't real. You're fine."

Katerina shook her head and was going to correct the doctor that it wasn't only a nightmare, but a memory. But, she stopped herself at the last second and thought about if it were right to tell Joan about such a personal problem, then decided she'd keep it to herself. So instead of confessing, she only nodded her head in 'agreement.'

"You're right. Thanks, Joan."

Dr. Leland nodded and gave Kat one more hug before changing the subject. "The nurses will be in soon to change your bandage. I thought I'd let you know."

"What about work?"

Joan shook her head. "Now don't you worry about that. I've got that covered. Gretchen will handle your shifts until you're back on your feet."

"Dr. Gretchen Whistler?"

She nodded. "Yes. Is that a problem?"

Kat shook her head. "No. I'm just surprised she'd agree to this arrangement considering she's already his Psychiatrist too."

"Ah, yes. That's true. Heh! It took some convincing but in the end, she agreed, as long as she had extra protection, you know, after Aaron's unfortunate incident."

She nodded. "Speaking of Aaron, how is he?"

"Good. He asked about you."

"He did?"

Joan nodded. "Yeah. He asked if you were ok. And-" She chuckled. "Asked if you were even still alive."

Kat smiled. "Tell him I'm doing fine, and that we all miss his company here at Arkham."

"Will do. Now, you get some rest. I'll be back later."

"Alright. Thank you for coming by."

"Anytime."

Katerina sighed as her friend left and grabbed a cup and filled it with water from the jug beside the bed, drinking a sip and then putting it down on the side table.

She wanted to see Waylon, especially after what had happened between them earlier. But she didn't know what to say, or even what to do. And now that she had that dream, she was a little frightened.

She knew she shouldn't be. But she was.

Even if he never raped her or ate her like in the dream, he had still injured her the other day, not as bad as she had thought, but bad enough for her to get 23 stitches in her calf.

"Oh, what am I gonna do...?"
