Notes: Where even is this story going anymores? I'm trying to finish this for the few new readers I've somehow acquired. I'm working towards two goals. Also, I've been marathoning The Walking Dead and that in itself has taken a lot of my spare time. Yeah I know, I should be focused on writing.
Warning: Attempted Rape
Song: Mad Hatter by Melanie Martinez
Chapter Thirteen
Sideswipe was an absolute joy to have around. He, much like Bee, actually seemed to enjoy hanging out with the humans. He was super helpful with classwork and projects. I would team up with Leo and Sam on occasion to just shoot the breeze or to more seriously work on the various school projects assigned to us. It was nice to just be a normal person and not worried about Decepticons. That's not to say I'd forgotten about Jazz. Also, Sideswipe made an amazing soundboard. He knew when to listen and when to press for more information. I opened up to him about my dreams and he did what he could to console me. It almost felt like I'd built myself family. Will Lennox and Ironhide would also visit on occasion. Sam had also made himself a lady friend, Carly Spencer, who Bee and I shipped. So hopefully the two would be getting together sometime soon. It was at one such meet we were discussing a group costume for a Halloween Bash.
"I think we should do Repo the Genetic Opera," I said, taking a sip of my coke. We were in a McDonald's. Bee sat beside Sam and Carly. While I sat between Miles and Sideswipe. Leo sat at the end of the table. There was an extremely large pile of fries on a tray in the center. Communal fries.
"Rocky Horror Picture Show?" Miles asked, offering me a fry. I let him feed me it. He kept one arm around my shoulders, keeping against him as I held hands with him.
"You aren't even going to be there," I told him and rolled my eyes.
"True."
"How about Alice in Wonderland?" Sam offered before wincing as he remembered something, Bee hid a smirk behind his hand and I directed my look at Carly who was sipping her drink.
"You'd be Alice," I told her and Bee started to laugh. I tried not to smile even as Leo burst into laughter too. Poor Carly looked so lost.
"Must be an inside joke," she said to Sideswipe and Miles.
"Sorry," I apologized before kicking Sam under the table. He winced and shook his head. "Not a totally lame idea. I wanna be the Cheshire cat though."
"Guess I'll be Alice." Carly muttered with a slight smile to show she wasn't mad. "You can be the White Rabbit." She told Sam, booping him lightly on the nose.
"I'll be the Mad Hatter!" Leo exclaimed loudly.
"I'll be the mouse," Sideswipe said with a small wink aimed at me. "Bee, you wanna be the hare?" Bee shrugged, splaying his hands out in an easy going motion to show he was game for anything. "Though it'd be hilarious to see you do the Queen of Hearts." Bee pulled a face at that and made a circling gesture towards Carly and Sam.
"Only if Steve goes as the Jack of Hearts," Carly spoke up, directing that at Sideswipe who smirked.
"Can do, my fair maiden," he said. Miles suddenly groaned, checking his phone.
"Crap. I gotta go, babe." He said and quickly kissed me before leaving. Sideswipe put a comforting arm around me, pulling me into a half hug before letting me go.
"So, Alice in Wonderland. This should be fun," I spoke up, taking a sip of my soda.
"You should see if your roommate Allie wants to join in," Leo spoke up and I smirked knowingly at him. Sideswipe's eyes lit up like he was in on the secret and I elbowed him gently.
"Sure you don't wanna ask her yourself?" I teased and Leo shook his head frantically.
"You room with her," he replied, checking his watch. "Ugh. I gotta go work on an essay." He grumbled before getting up. He gave me an apologetic look.
"We should probably get going to," I hinted at Sideswipe, wanting to give Carly and Sam some alone time. He picked up on it instantly and stood up.
"Later guys," he said before fizzling out of view. I quickly looked around in panic but Sideswipe had timed that perfectly.
"Come on Leo, I'll give you a ride back," I told him.
"Wouldn't Steve technically be giving me a ride back?" Leo questioned, following me obediently.
"Technically but I'm going to be the driver," I replied as we headed out to where the silver corvette awaited us. I trailed my fingers gently over the hood of the car in a loving manner. Sunstreaker would have never let me. I climb into the driver's seat, fingers resting lightly on the steering wheel.
"You wanna drive?" Sideswipe teased as Leo climbed in. Sunstreaker never would have offered, but I'd driven a few times before with Sideswipe. He was like a luxury car with his performance. Sideswipe had been teaching me to drive stick, which was kinda tricky but I was definitely getting better at it.
"Hell yeah. Who wouldn't wanna drive you?" I joked back, giving the steering wheel a little squeeze. I'd also given Sideswipe plenty of surface washes in his alt-mode, he was just that easy going though compared to his twin who I know would never have let me wash him. I would never have met his expectations.
"Get a room," Leo said making a face. "You're as bad as Sam and Bee. I don't even think y'all realize you're doing it."
"You're just jealous," Sideswipe replied as I pulled out of the parking lot and merged into traffic. "Be glad you didn't get stuck with the minor twins."
"Thank gawd," Leo muttered," I don't think my reputation would've survived." I giggled at that, having not met them but I'd heard stories from Sideswipe, and Sam. They sounded terrible. "Trust me. They'd of annoyed you big time." The ride back to campus was short and I dropped Leo off at his dorms before parking near my dorm room window. I lived on the third floor.
"You wanna come watch some netflix?" I asked Sideswipe.
"Binge watching The Walking Dead still?"
"You know it."
"Count me in," his holoform materialized in the passenger seat before he climbed out of the corvette. He looked like he'd just stepped out of the runway. Perfectly tousled golden hair, white crew neck tee, leather jacket and dark denim jeans that hugged his form. Totally unfair. I followed Sideswipe up to my dorm. Allie was out but we had a decent entertainment set up, Sideswipe had helped with that oddly enough but he seemed to really enjoy just hanging out and mindlessly watching Netflix. I guess even soldiers needed escape from the horrors of war. I know they were still hunting down Decepticons and assisting the world against terrorists. Every now and then Sideswipe would disappear for a few weeks but then he'd come back. I hadn't seen or heard from Sunstreaker since that night and I was a little worried. Was he just completely done with me?
"You're overthinking something," Sides said, flicking my nose before stepping to the side so I could unlock my dorm room. "I can smell the rubber burning." He teased as I pushed the door open. He took his usual seat in the beanbag and I shut the door, locking it again before making myself comfortable at Sideswipe's feet. It didn't take much work to resume playing where we'd last left off. The Walking Dead was a good series and Daryl was my favorite character. Sideswipe liked Rick. Secretly I shipped those two together. We were just finishing season three when Allie came back.
"Oh. Hi Steve, hey Vivian," she greeted, shyly adjusting her glasses. She had bright blue hair in a stylish pixie. She smiled weakly at the tv. "Oh. This is a good one." She dropped her bag off on her bed, grabbing a drink before taking a seat to watch with us.
"So, we're doing Alice in Wonderland for Halloween," I said with a little hand wave.
"We?" she asked, sipping her soda.
"Sam, Carly, Leo, Bee, myself and Steve." I rattled off and glanced at her. "We'd love for you to join us."
"Whose doing who?" She asked and I paused the episode.
"Carly's gonna be Alice. Sam's the white rabbit. Leo's the Mad Hatter. Bees gonna d9 the Queen of Hearts so that should be interesting," I replied, leaning my head against Sideswipe's leg. He teased a piece of my hair and then started working on a braid.
"I'm going as the Jack of Hearts while Vivian goes as the Cheshire Cat," Sideswipe said, combing fingers through my hair. He finished the braid then leaned down to press a kiss to the crown of my head. "Well I'm going to head out. Catch up with y'all later. Have a good one Allie." He gave her a two finger salute before leaving us alone.
"And Steve's not your boyfriend?" Allie accused.
"ew, no. He's just a friend. My boys Miles." I replied, leaning back against the chair.
"Ah yes. The mysterious Miles I've never met. He going to the Halloween Bash?" Allie asked, crossing her legs.
"Sadly not. He has a thing."
"Sure~" she rolled her eyes, giving me a pointed look. "But Steve's going?"
"Yeah. He's just a friend."
"mmhmm."

I tugged on the bottom of the cropped top of the sleeveless hoodie. It was purple and pink with cat ears sewed into the hood. I had it paired with a mini skirt and knee high boots. It was a fun and whimsical costume. This would be my first college party to go to. I was a bit of a loner, hiding off on my own and focusing completely on my school work. I adjusted the collar with bell, making sure it wasn't too tight. Allie came out of the bathroom, wearing a cute gray dress with little mouse ears and a tea cup headband. She smiled at me, and I knew this was also her first college party. She was very serious about her school work.
"Ready to have some fun?" I asked, wiggling my fingers at her as I pulled on some fishnet gloves.
"I hope so. . .isn't it just gonna be loud music and alcohol?" she questioned and I shrugged.
"Probably but we're both of legal age so no problems there," I reminded her and headed out the door. She followed me tentatively. I could hear the loud music and smell the alcohol before we got within stones throw. I spotted Sideswipe leaning against his car, chatting with people. He had on black tight pants with a red line running up the sides, a black t-shirt and a red jacket that said 'Jack' on the back with the Jack of Hearts logo. His hair was combed over to the side. He put up a hand in greeting and I beelined for him.
"Just a friend," Allie muttered and I rolled my eyes. She just wouldn't let that go.
"Hey Steve," I said, accepting the hug as he pulled me in. He smelled good, ocean fresh and reminding me of the beach. He let me go, finishing the car conversation with one of the guys before offering me his arm.
"Shall we?" He asked, indicating the loud and vibing party. I accepted his arm, looping mine with his and grabbed Allie as we passed her to the building. It was dark and late out with a chill in the air. We met up with Sam and Carly inside. Leo and Bee had yet to arrive. Bee had 'work related' things to finish up and Leo was just fashionably late. Sideswipe and Sam wandered off to get us some drinks. Carly looked pretty dressed as Alice. Cute and innocent. Sam was just wearing a white track suit with bunny ears. Creative. They came back with red solo cups and I grabbed one, taking a swig and coughing as it burned.
"Wow, that's strong," I muttered even as Sideswipe plucked it from my hands to take a sip. He took a sip, showing no adverse signs to it. "Show off." I muttered. Allie had wandered off and I saw her chatting with a group of friends so I wasn't too worried about her. There was a dance mosh pit of sorts and I weaved my way into, throwing up my hands and throwing myself into the rhythm of the music. I danced with a few random strangers before a new red solo cup found its way into my hands. Feeling adventurous I chugged it, coughing even as there were a few cheers from around me. I tossed the cup to the ground and jumped right back into the music. Someone pulled me back against them to grind to him. It was a few minutes before I realized something was wrong. Everything got blurry and I felt dizzy. I stumbled and someone held onto me, steering me clear of the crowd. I was being helped up the stairs. Ij stumbled a few more times even as the room spun violently around me. I didn't feel right.
"easy easy. This way. Think you've had a few too many to drink," someone informed me, an arm around my waist to keep me up right. My arm was tossed around their shoulders and I kept getting the feeling of wrongness. I'd only had the one drink and it wasn't that strong surely. I was helped into a dark room away from the noise and craziness, tossed across a bed. Someone crawled atop me, pressing their lips against my exposed skin.
"no, stop," I said weakly, trying to stop them. They laughed at my weak attempts, pinning both my hands above my head with one arm as their other hand forced its way between my legs. I felt frozen. It was too hard to breath and my tongue felt like lead. This couldn't be happening. How could this be happening? Where was Sideswipe?
"Yeah bitch. You ready for me?" They sneered, yanking my panties to the side and getting their cock ready. He smiled at me, stroking his dick a few times.
"stop," I mumbled and kneed him, or tried to. Everything felt so disorienting and I struggled to do anything. He laughed again, forcing my legs apart. I managed to scratch him with my nails and he slapped me hard for that. I was sent feeling, the already moving room taking a spin. That's when the door was kicked open with enough force to remove it from its hinges. Everything blurred but I heard screaming and the crunch of bones. Someone was sobbing and pleading. There was a very dark guttural growl and I was scooped up against someone's chest. They smelled spicy like cinnamon and I could feel the heat radiating off them as I was carried out of the room. I weakly clung to my savior as I was removed from the party. I was vaguely aware of colours and flashing lights, of Allie's blabbering as my dorm room was opened and I was let in. I was laid out on my bed but I clung to my savior, not wanting to be left alone when I felt like this. They seemed to understand and laid beside me, letting me curl up to them as the darkness finally claimed me. The pull of the drugs too much for me to fight any longer.
My heart pounded loudly in my chest as I wandered the ruined streets. Where was I? What was this place? Clearly still Earth judging by the crumbled buildings but what part of Earth? There were dead bodies and fires. I kept a hand over my mouth as I walked along the destruction. I took a turn and froze as I saw Megatron. He was seated and propped against one of the buildings, half his head missing. He turned to look at me and I wasn't afraid. Somehow I knew I faced a much worse fate than him.
"I didn't want it to end like this," he spoke slowly and made a gesture to the destruction around him and to the sky. I glanced up, shocked to see something weird there. Some weird metallic structure. "I was. . . But a pawn. . . To it all." Megatron sounded tired, worn down from it all. "Come find me. . . And Jazz is yours, insect." He snarled.
"Where do I find you?" I demanded, moving closer to him.
"Here. When the time is right," he spoke cryptically. I sighed, pushing my hands through my hair.
"What is this place?"
"one of your. . . Cities."
"That's not good enough "
"This is your future. The future of your world." He snarled at me, slamming a fist into the cracked ground. "You'll know when the time is right!"
